iPad mini 8 vs iPad mini 7 battery
| Model | Battery Capacity (mAh) | Battery Capacity (Wh) |
| iPad mini 8 | 4,900 mAh | 18.9 Wh |
| iPad mini 7 | 5,034 mAh | 19.3 Wh |
You are not going to notice a 2% difference on its own. A cut this small rarely changes how long a tablet lasts in a day. It’s thinner in its credit. The new iPad mini measures 5.4 mm against 6.3 mm for the iPad mini 7.
As for specs, you get an 8.5-inch OLED display and the A20 Pro chip. The tablet also gets IP67 water and dust resistance. Apple says the A20 Pro is up to 60% faster on the CPU than the A17 Pro in the iPad mini 7.
Pre-orders for the iPad mini are already open, with shipping beginning November 6. The Wi-Fi model starts at $699. That is $200 more than the iPad mini 7 cost at launch in October 2024.
