Sony, one of the leading companies in the gaming industry, is working on developing new technologies to improve mobile gaming. In recent years, the popularity of mobile gaming has been on the rise, surpassing consoles in terms of revenue. Therefore, it is not surprising that Sony is investing in developing new technologies to enhance its mobile gaming offerings.

According to recent reports, Sony has filed a new patent for improved controls in mobile games. The technology will focus on processing operations for games played on mobile devices, receiving the mobile controller input, and then determining a correction value to perform the action with greater accuracy. The expected outcome of this technology is smoother and more precise mobile controls. Additionally, the patent includes dynamic streaming gameplay and more intelligent ways to handle game state saving.

This technology could be particularly useful for Sony’s upcoming handheld console, codenamed Q Lite, which will reportedly require a PS5 to function and be used for remote play. The new technology, combined with the acquisition of Savage Game Studios, a mobile-based gaming developer, suggests that Sony is taking a strong interest in the mobile market and working on new technologies.
Furthermore, Sony has also filed a patent for making lifelike NPC reactions, which could improve the immersion of the gaming experience. This technology would make non-player characters in Sony games more aware of their surroundings and enable them to interact with them more efficiently. This innovation could prevent unreactive characters, thus enhancing the overall gaming experience.
