Design
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro and OnePlus 11 both feature great futuristic designs, with the Edge 40 Pro being slightly lighter and thinner than the OnePlus 11. Both devices have glass backs and large camera modules. However, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro has an IP68 certification, which offers better protection against dust and water than the IP64 certification on the OnePlus 11. It also comes with a curved screen at the sides, making it more elegant than its rival. So, if you are looking for the best design, then you may prefer the Motorola flagship killer, even though its rear side is not very original with its rectangle-shaped camera module.
Display
In terms of display, the OnePlus 11 has the advantage with its 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display, boasting a higher resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, thanks to the LTPO technology. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The refresh rate is higher with a whopping 165 Hz, but the panel quality is actually less interesting. Both devices support HDR10+ and come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as stereo speakers providing an improved audio experience, but they do not feature an audio jack for wired earphones.
Specs & Software
Both the Motorola Edge 40 Pro and OnePlus 11 are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, offering similar performance capabilities. The OnePlus 11, however, provides more memory and storage options, with configurations ranging from 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage to 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro offers 12GB RAM, 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM, 512 GB storage options, without any configuration sporting 16 GB RAM. While the highest-end memory configurations are the same, the OnePlus flagship killer has more memory configurations to choose from. Both devices run on Android 13, but the OnePlus 11 comes with OxygenOS, a custom user interface that provides an almost identical Android experience to the Edge 40 Pro’s stock Android interface.
Camera
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro and OnePlus 11 both feature impressive camera setups, although the Edge 40 Pro’s triple camera array of 50 MP main, 50 MP ultrawide, and 12 MP telephoto lenses provides less versatility and overall performance than the OnePlus 11’s 50 MP main, 32 MP ultrawide, and 48 MP monochrome sensor setup. On the other hand, the Edge 40 Pro boasts a 60 MP front-facing camera, which has a higher resolution and better quality than the 16 MP front camera on the OnePlus 11.

Battery
The OnePlus 11 has a larger 5000 mAh battery compared to the Motorola Edge 40 Pro’s 4600 mAh battery, potentially offering a longer battery life. However, the Edge 40 Pro supports 125W fast charging and 15W fast wireless charging, which are way more than the OnePlus 11’s 100W fast charging capability (it lacks wireless charging). Both devices should still provide quick charging times and all-day battery life with moderate use, but now you clearly know who is the winner of the battery comparison.
Price
The OnePlus 11 is available in the global market with a starting price of about $944 or €850. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro carries a starting price tag of $1110 or €999 in the global market. Note that prices vary depending on the region in which they are sold, so if you find these phones with different prices, it is normal. Which one would you pick?
