OnePlus is all set to unveil the OnePlus Ace 5 series of smartphones on Dec. 26 in China. The announcement comes soon after the global wing of the brand confirmed that the OnePlus 13R series will be launched globally on Jan. 7. While the Ace 5 series includes two models, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, the 13 series comprises the OnePlus 13 and 13R. It is speculated that the OnePlus Ace 5 could be a slightly toned-down version of the 13R. As far as the Ace 5 Pro is concerned, it is likely to be a China-exclusive phone like its predecessor, the Ace 3 Pro. Today, apart from confirming the launch date, the brand also revealed the configuration and color options of the Ace 5 series.
OnePlus Ace 5 series configurations, color options
The OnePlus Ace 5 series is confirmed to arrive in five configurations, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The Ace 5 will come in three shades, such as Gravitational Titanium, Full Speed Black, and Celestial Porcelain.
On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro will be available in colors like Moon White Porcelain, Submarine Black, and Starry Purple. The Porcelain models seem to have ceramic back panels, whereas the other shades might have a glass back.
OnePlus Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro specifications
The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to have several identical specs. On the front, the Ace 5 duo will have a 6.78-inch flat BOE X2 LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an optical in-screen fingerprint reader. Both devices will also offer ColorOS 15-based Android 15, an IR blaster, an alert slider, dual speakers, and a metal middle frame.
For selfies, the Ace 5 duo may feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the Ace 5 Pro may feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a 6,400mAh battery with 80W fast charging. On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 6,100mAh battery with 100W rapid charging.
