Acer’s collaboration with Indkal Technologies
Acer’s return to the Indian market is powered by its partnership with Indkal Technologies, a consumer electronics startup based in India. Indkal Technologies has acquired the rights to design, manufacture, and distribute Acer smartphones in India.
The company, which has been manufacturing Acer’s home appliances in India since 2021, will also locally produce these smartphones. To support this growth, Indkal Technologies raised $36 million in its latest funding round to enhance product development and expand manufacturing capabilities. This collaboration is set to deliver high-quality smartphones at competitive prices, with a focus on the mid-range segment. These smartphones are expected to be priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 50,000, ensuring accessibility for a broad range of consumers.
