Redmi has teased another standout feature of the upcoming K100 Pro ahead of its Aug. 11 launch in China. Recently, the brand showcased the Cabernet Red variant of the K100 Pro Max, now it has revealed the K100 Pro for the first time in a unique color option called Glowing Firefly, introducing a distinctive glow-in-the-dark rear panel that offers more than just a different look. The teaser also reinforces several display and hardware details that have already been confirmed for the device.
Glow-in-the-dark design revealed

The new Glowing Firefly color features a fluorescent green finish that changes its appearance depending on the lighting. Redmi says it has placed a special luminescent material between the glass back and the green ink layer, allowing the rear panel to act as a “light painting canvas.”
After absorbing light from a flashlight or another bright source, the back panel glows in the dark, enabling users to create temporary glowing patterns. During the day, the phone has a translucent green finish, while the effect becomes visible in low-light conditions. Redmi has also matched the metal frame and camera island with the same green color, giving the phone a more uniform appearance. Apart from the Glowing Firefly, it will also have a sliver edition.

Redmi has also reiterated that the K100 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch flat OLED display using the new M11 light-emitting material. The panel adopts the company’s “Super Pixel” full RGB sub-pixel arrangement and supports a 185Hz refresh rate, a 4,800Hz instant touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Redmi claims the new green light-emitting material improves luminous efficiency by 20 percent over the previous generation.
The company has also confirmed that the K100 Pro will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series chipset alongside an AI gaming display chip. Previous teasers have revealed an AnTuTu V11 benchmark score of 4.095 million. Other expected features include a 200-megapixel rear camera, an over 8,000mAh battery with 50W wireless charging, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP-rated water resistance, and telephoto macro photography support.
