Xiaomi confirmed a few weeks ago that the Pad 9 Pro Max would be the first tablet to use its in-house XRING O3 chip. The tablet has now appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its performance.
The Geekbench listing confirms the XRING O3 is powering the tablet, with the CPU setup matching Xiaomi’s earlier details. The chip has 10 cores split across three tiers: two C1-Ultra cores clocked at 4.36GHz, four C1-Premium cores at 3.69GHz, and four C1-Pro cores at 3.15GHz. Graphics are handled by a Mali G2 Ultra NX MC16 GPU with 16 cores.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max shows its performance
The Pad 9 Pro Max scored more than 3,400 points in the single-core test and over 13,200 points in the multi-core test. The multi-core result is lower than an earlier claim for XRING O3 from Xiaomi itself, where the chip scored 15,000 points.
That difference isn’t unusual for a pre-release device. Performance can change as Xiaomi continues to optimize the software and tune the tablet’s thermal management before launch.

The Pad 9 Pro Max has already appeared in several leaks, including details about its color and memory options. Its Geekbench listing suggests development is moving closer to the final stage. The tablet is expected to feature a 13.3-inch display and support 120W charging.
The Pad 9 Pro Max will also sit at the top of the upcoming Pad 9 lineup. Xiaomi is reportedly preparing a standard Pad 9 and a Pad 9 Pro, with both expected to use Qualcomm chips instead of the company’s in-house XRING O3.
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Pad 9 Pro Max in early September.
