OnePlus has recently confirmed the design and memory variants of the OnePlus 16, which is expected to break cover next month in China. A Geekbench listing has already revealed that the phone will be powered by the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (SM8975), while early Geekbench results from the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, Honor Magic 9 Pro Max and iQOO 16 have offered an initial glimpse at the chip’s performance. Now, the OnePlus 16 has appeared on AnTuTu, revealing how the upcoming flagship performs in a more demanding benchmark.

The OnePlus 16 reportedly scored 5,384,433 points in AnTuTu V12. This includes a CPU score of 1,458,283, a GPU score of 2,010,584, a memory score of 766,362 and a UX score of 1,149,204, putting the device among the highest-scoring phones currently appearing in AnTuTu’s database.
The listing reveals the device is powered by the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (SM8975) chip, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, along with a 185Hz display refresh rate. The device runs on ColorOS 17-based Android 17.
Apart from 16GB+1TB, the OP16 will be available in multiple memory configurations, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB. With the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and this combination of hardware, the OnePlus 16 promises top-notch performance for gaming, multitasking and other demanding workloads.

The performance upgrades are reportedly accompanied by a major camera overhaul, which could address one of the areas that attracted criticism on the OnePlus 15. The OnePlus 16 is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, alongside 50-megapixel ultrawide and 50-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras.
Battery life could be another major upgrade, with leaks pointing to a 9,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone is also tipped to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X4 display with a 165Hz system-wide refresh rate and support for up to 185Hz in compatible games.
The OnePlus 16 is expected to launch in China in October. However, there are now vague reports suggesting that the phone may not receive a wider global launch, so we will have to wait for further reports and an official announcement from OnePlus before drawing any conclusions about its availability outside China.
