You can get the same memory configuration if you choose the vanilla version, but with an inferior chipset: the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 by Qualcomm. The Redmi K60E has just 12 GB of RAM in its most expensive configuration, as well as an inferior Dimensity 8200 chipset by MediaTek. The vanilla version and the Pro run Android 13 out of the box, while the Redmi K60E is still based on Android 12.

Camera

If you are looking for the best cameras, then you should go for the Redmi K60 Pro. It has a triple rear camera including a 54 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro lens, as well as a 16 MP selfie snapper. The vanilla Redmi K60 has the same secondary sensors, but with an inferior main camera: a 64 MP shooter with OIS. The Redmi K60E is the most disappointing one because it has a 48 MP main camera with OIS (the secondary sensors remain the same).

Should you save some money for the vanilla version or it is worth spending more for the Pro variant? The Tecno Phantom X2 and the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro have the same design. They are equipped with a glass back, a front glass protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus, and an aluminum frame. Just like the design, even the displays of these two phones are exactly the same. We are talking about an AMOLED panel with a wide diagonal of 6.8 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint reader, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It is not a disappointing display, but it is not a flagship panel. It is pretty good thanks to its deep blacks and vivid colors typical of OLED display, and it is very smooth thanks to its high refresh rate. Unfortunately, these phones are not equipped with stereo speakers and they do not have an audio jack, but they support FM radio.

Hardware/Software

The Tecno Phantom X2 and the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro are powered by the same chipset: the Dimensity 9000, which is the flagship chipset by MediaTek of 2022. The SoC is actually at the same performance level as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It is built with a 4 nm production process and it has an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.05 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, and a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. Both phones come with 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The only difference in the hardware department is the quantity of RAM: the vanilla version has just 8 GB of RAM, while the Pro variant has 12 GB, which is the reason why it wins the hardware comparison. The operating system installed on these phones is Android 12, customized by HiOS 12.

Camera

The most important difference and the only big difference between the Tecno Phantom X2 and the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is the camera setup. The vanilla version is just a midrange camera phone, while the Pro is a high-end camera phone. On the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro, you can find a triple rear camera composed of a 50 MP main shooter, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide lens. The vanilla version has a 64 MP main camera with OIS, a 13 MP ultrawide shooter, and a useless 2 MP depth sensor. As you can see, there is a huge difference between these two camera departments. The Xiaomi sub-brand announced its first phone of 2023. A few days ago, the new POCO C50 went official. It is an entry-level from the most affordable lineup of the brand and it comes with low-end specifications, but also with a big battery and a recent Android version. Earlier last year, its predecessor made its debut too: the POCO C40. In a world where new phones are not always better than older ones, it became harder to understand which device to choose. Is the new POCO C50 really better than the POCO C40 or it is better to opt for the older model? We will try to answer this question through this specs comparison between the latest entry-level phones from the brand.

Xiaomi POCO C50 vs Xiaomi POCO C40

Design

There is an important change in the design between the POCO C40 and the POCO C50. The latter comes with a rear design similar to the one of the Xiaomi 11 series, while the former is definitely uglier due to its big camera module painted in black. Further, the C50 has more compact dimensions thanks to the presence of a smaller display and a smaller battery. I think you understood which one is the best. Both phones are dust resistant and splash resistant, but they do not have any IP certification. They come with pretty thick bezels around the display and a waterdrop notch, and their fingerprint readers are placed on the rear side like very old phones.

Display

The specifications of the displays found on these two phones are more or less the same. The only different thing is the diagonal. The POCO C40 has a bigger display with a diagonal of 6.71 inches, while the POCO C50 has a smaller panel with 6.52 inches. For the rest, they are pretty much the same. We are talking about two IPS LCD panels with an HD+ resolution and a brightness of 400 nits. It is not an insufficient display, but it is a low-end display with a low level of detail and not very realistic colors. It is sufficient for everyone, but nothing special. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass and it does not include a fingerprint reader as it is placed on the rear side of the phone. The handsets include a mono speaker, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack for wired earphones.

Hardware/Software

Even though it is an older device, the POCO C40 has a superior hardware department. First of all, it comes with a better SoC, even though it is an unknown processor released by an unknown chipmaker. We are talking about the JLQ JR510 chipset built with an 11 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of four Cortex A55 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2 GHz, four Cortex A55 CPUs running at a max frequency of 1.5 GHz, and a Mali G57 MC1 GPU. The chipset is paired with up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of native storage expandable with a micro SD slot. The POCO C50 has an inferior MediaTek Helio A22 chipset built at 12 nm and running at a max frequency of 2 GHz. It has a quad-core architecture composed of four Cortex A53 CPUs running at 2 GHz and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Alongside the chipset, there are up to 3 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB of native storage. Note that the POCO C50 runs Android 12 out of the box (Go Edition), while the C40 is based on Android 11.

Camera

The POCO C40 is equipped with better rear cameras. It has a dual camera setup composed of a 13 MP main shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor. With the POCO C50, you actually get a very disappointing 8 MP main shooter and an even more disappointing depth sensor with less than 1 MP of resolution. Both phones come with the same 5 MP selfie snapper.

Battery

The POCO C40 wins the battery comparison because it is equipped with a bigger 6000 mAh battery: one of the biggest batteries this year. It even supports 18W fast charging, while the POCO C50 has no fast charging support.

The starting price of the POCO C50 roughly translates into $87/€80, while the POCO C40 begins at $139/€128. The C40 wins the comparison.

It is a chipset built with a 6 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of two Cortex A78 CPUs running at 2.6 GHz, six Cortex A55 CPUs running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G68 MC4 GPU. Further, they offer up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. The vanilla version is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 mobile platform, which is way inferior to the Dimensity 1080. Unfortunately, all the variants ship with Android 12 instead of Android 13, even though they hitten the shelves in 2023.

Camera

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is equipped with the best camera setup and it is the only device of the trio which can be considered a high-end camera phone. It has a 200 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro camera, as well as a 16 MP front camera. The Pro variant has exactly the same secondary sensors, but the main camera is different: it is a 50 MP shooter with OIS. Instead, the vanilla version is the most disappointing because it comes with a 48 MP main sensor and without OIS.

In terms of design, both phones have something to offer. They come with premium materials including a glass back and, on the Motorola Moto X40, an aluminum frame too. The OnePlus 11 is definitely more original thanks to its circular camera module, but the Motorola Moto X40 is waterproof with the IP68 certification, and this is an important added value. Both devices offer a curved screen at the sides, with a very high screen to body ratio. But the position of the punch holes is different. However, its resolution is lower as we are talking about a Full HD+ OLED panel. For the rest, they do not differ too much.

The OnePlus 11 wins the hardware comparison. Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform: the best chipset by Qualcomm. It is a processor built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X3 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A715 CPUs, two Cortex A710 CPUs, three Cortex A510 CPUs, and an Adreno 730 GPU. The OnePlus 11 is better because it offers a higher amount of RAM: up to 16 GB instead of just 12 GB. The internal storages are the same if we consider the highest-end memory configurations: up to 512 GB UFS 4.0. The handsets run Android 13 out of the box, customized by ColorOS/OxygenOS and MyUI, respectively.

Camera

The rear cameras of the OnePlus 11 look more convincing: it has a triple camera setup composed of a Sony IMX890 main sensor with a 50 MP resolution and OIS, a 32 MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom, and a 48 MP ultrawide lens. The Motorola Moto X40 has a better selfie camera, with a 60 MP resolution and 4K video recording. But its rear cameras are not disappointing: there is a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 12 MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom.

Meanwhile, a few days before, Xiaomi came up with the new Xiaomi 13 Series and this one includes a Pro variant: the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The OnePlus 11 replaces the 11 Pro, but is it at the same level as the most advanced Xiaomi flagship? A lot of people are asking this question and we decided to answer it. We believe there is no better way to give you an answer than publishing this comparison between the main specifications of the OnePlus 11 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Design

The most refined design here belongs to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, even though it is not the most original one. The phone is made with a ceramic back and an aluminum frame, very premium materials (but there are also color options with a silicone polymer back, cheaper). It has a curved display with a very high screen to body ratio (close to 90 percent) and it is waterproof with the IP68 certification. Last but not least, its display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The hardware department of the OnePlus 11 is actually better than the one found on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Both phones are fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform: the new flagship Qualcomm SoC. It is a chipset built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X3 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A715 CPUs, two Cortex A710 CPUs, three Cortex A510 CPUs, and an Adreno 740 GPU. OnePlus 11 is official: it is going on sale in the Chinese market and it will be launched in the global market in the first part of February. This year, the vanilla version came alone and there won’t be any Pro variant. Last year, it was the opposite: we saw the OnePlus 10 Pro, but there was no vanilla version. However, this year, the vanilla version replaces the Pro and comes with very advanced specifications. That is the reason why it is a perfect rival for its predecessor, even though it is not a Pro. So, in order to let you find the differences, we decided to publish a comparison between the main specifications of the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus 10 Pro while waiting for the global launch of the former.

OnePlus 11 vs OnePlus 10 Pro

Design

The OnePlus 11 comes with a renewed design compared to its predecessor. There are no significant changes, but you can immediately notice that the camera module is totally different. While on the older model, the camera module has a square shape, on the new one it is circular, even though both are placed on the left part of the phone. The color options did not change: there are a green one and a black one, and even the dimensions, the weight, and the thickness are very similar. Further, they are both equipped with curved displays with a similar screen to body ratio, as well as a punch hole placed on the top left corner of the panel.

Display

The differences between the panels of the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus 10 Pro are just marginal, so you will get more or less the same image quality and you would better focus on the other specifications. In both cases, we are talking about an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+ certification, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The only difference we can notice is the presence of the LTPO 3.0 technology on the most recent model, instead of LTPO 2.0: that means a lower energy consumption.

Specs & Software

The OnePlus 11 is fueled by an upgraded mobile platform. It packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz and is composed of a Cortex X3 CPU, two Cortex A715 CPUs, two Cortex A710 CPUs, three Cortex A510 CPUs, and an Adreno 740 GPU. It is the successor of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found on the OnePlus 10 Pro, built at 4 nm and running at a max frequency of 3 GHz. Besides sporting a superior chipset, the 11 also comes with a higher amount of RAM: up to 16 GB, as well as faster storage thanks to the UFS 4.0 technology. Last but not least, the OnePlus 11 ships with a more recent operating system: Android 13 instead of Android 12, which means it will get longer support.

Camera

The OnePlus 11 has an improved camera setup compared to its predecessor. It is equipped with a triple Hasselblad rear camera including a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, a 32 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 48 MP ultrawide shooter. The OnePlus 10 Pro has an inferior 48 MP main camera, but the ultrawide camera is better as it is a 50 MP Sony IMX766 shooter. Even the selfie snapper is better with its 16 MP resolution, while the 11th has a 16 MP selfie snapper.

These two phones come with the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. The OnePlus 11 charges quicker thanks to 100W fast charging, but the 10 Pro is the only one in the duo with wireless charging (50W).

The OnePlus 11 starts from $585/€550 in China, while the OnePlus 10 Pro begins at $509/€479. The OP 11 wins the specs comparison thanks to a better processor and main camera, but the 10 Pro remains very good thanks to its street prices, wireless charging, and a better selfie camera.

After 24 hours from the beginning of the pre sales, it is already a success and it broke the presale record of the brand in just two hours. On January 9, it will officially go on sale and we expect a huge success. But there is another recent phone in the market with better street prices which may represent a better choice for several people: the predecessor OnePlus 10T. Is it better to go for the most recent flagship or you would better save some money for the older one? You will find it out after reading this comparison between the main specifications of the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus 10T.

OnePlus 11 vs OnePlus 10T

Design

The OnePlus 11 comes with a brand new design sporting a totally different camera module from its predecessor. It has a round camera module instead of a square-shaped one, with a thinner body too, as well as a glass back. These two phones are not the best out there in terms of design, but they can not be considered bad. The OnePlus 10T, as already mentioned, comes with a square-shaped camera module, and it has a glass back just like its internal rival, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. However, the frame is made of plastic. I personally prefer the OnePlus 11 in terms of design.

The OnePlus 11 is equipped with a way better display if compared to the OnePlus 10T. Note that the new flagship won’t come in a Pro variant, so this is a lot more advanced than the 10T even in terms of display. It is equipped with an AMOLED panel similar to the one found on the 10 Pro. It has a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint reader. With the OnePlus 10T, you get an inferior AMOLED display with one billion colors, a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+.

The OnePlus 11 is equipped with a better processor: the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, currently the best SoC by Qualcomm. It is built with a 4 nm production process and it has an octa-core architecture with a max frequency of 3.2 GHz and an Adreno 740 GPU. Both phones feature up to 16 GB of RAM, but the OnePlus 11 has more storage: up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 native storage instead of just 256 GB with the UFS 3.1 technology. Last but not least, the 11 ships with Android 13, while the 10T is still based on Android 12, even though it is customized by OxygenOS 13.

Camera

There is no challenge here, the OnePlus 11 beats the 10T very easily if we talk about the cameras. It even comes with better cameras than the 10 Pro. On the rear side, it sports a triple camera setup including a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, a 32 MP telephoto lens for portraits with 2x optical zoom, and a 48 MP ultrawide shooter. With the OnePlus 10T you get a Sony IMX766 main camera with a resolution of 50 MP, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro lens. Both phones are equipped with a 16 MP selfie shooter.

Last but not leat, the OnePlus 11 packs a bigger battery, with a capacity of 5000 mAh. So it will last longer on a single charge. But the OnePlus 10T is able to charge quicker thanks to 150W fast charging, while the 11 stops at just 100W.

Price

The starting price tag of the OnePlus 11 in China roughly translates into $579/€550 at the actual change, while you need about €428/$450 to purchase the OnePlus 10T. The 11 is a much better phone thanks to a better display and better cameras, as well as a bigger battery: it wins the comparison.

It includes an illuminated RGB light on the rear side and it is built with a glass back and an aluminum frame. It has pressure sensitive zones just like its rival and it is also water resistant with the IPX4 certification.

It looks like the Asus ROG Phone 6D offers the best display. It is an AMOLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels, an amazing 165 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. With the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro, you get an AMOLED display with one billion colors, a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The best hardware setup belongs to the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro. It is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset built at 4 nm with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X3 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A715 cores, two Cortex A710 cores, three Cortex A510 cores, and an Adreno 740 GPU. Alongside the chipset, there are up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native UFS 4.0 storage. The Asus ROG Phone 6D gets a less impressive chipset: the Dimensity 9000+ by Mediatek running at 3.35 GHz and built with a 4 nm production process. On the other hand, it sports a higher quantity of RAM: up to 16 GB, as well as NTFS support for external storage. However, I prefer the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro not only for the processor, but also because it has a built in cooling fan able to dissipate the heat in a better way.

Camera

It looks like the Asus ROG Phone 6D is the gaming phone with the best camera of the duo. You can not consider it a camera phone, but it is not a bad device to take photos. It has a triple rear camera including a 50 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 5 MP macro lens.

These three phones look very similar if we talk about the design, but there is a better one in this comparison. The most advanced hardware is the one found on the Realme 10s. First of all, it has a better processor: the Dimensity 810 built at 6 nm and sporting the 5G connectivity and an octa-core architecture. The Helio G99 found on the Realme 10 is slightly more powerful than the Dimensity 700 found on the Realme 10 5G, but only the latter supports the 5G connectivity. On all of these phones, the most advanced memory configuration comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage you can furtherly expand with a micro SD. Further, all of them run Android 12 out of the box, customized by Realme UI 3.0. And they will most likely get two years of major Android updates.

Camera

There are very marginal differences between the cameras of these devices, but if you want the best rear camera setup, then you should go for the Realme 10 5G. Besides the 50 MP main camera and the 2 MP macro shooter also found on the other handsets of the trio, this phone adds a depth sensor. On the other hand, the vanilla Realme 10 has a better selfie camera with a 16 MP resolution instead of just 8 MP.

The vanilla version replaces the 50 MP main camera with an inferior 64 MP sensor, but it retains OIS. There is one single device that can be considered the best rival of this phone, at least until the release of the Samsung Galaxy S23. Naturally, we are referring to the iPhone 14 by Apple. Here you can find a comparison between the main specifications of the iPhone 14 and the Xiaomi 13.

Xiaomi 13 vs Apple iPhone 14

Design

It is very hard to compete with an icon. A lot of people will prefer the design of the iPhone 14 as it is iconic and sports great build quality. The handset is made with a glass back and an aluminum frame, it has the classic notch and the classic camera module of the latest iPhones, as well as better water resistance: with its IP68 certification, it is able to go up to 6 meters deep underwater without damage. If we talk about the internal foldable displays, these two phones are very close to each other. The OPPO Find N2 Flip comes with an internal AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. With the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, you actually get a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a similar Full HD+ resolution and the same 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as the same HDR10+ certification. The OPPO phone has a higher peak brightness as it is able to reach 1,600 nits instead of just 1,200 nits. But the most important advantage of the OPPO Find N2 Flip is the presence of a wider and vertical external display, with a diagonal of 3.26 inches (instead of just 1.9 inches) and a resolution of 382 x 720 pixels. It allows you to see more notifications and use the rear camera as a selfie camera in a better way.

The hardware department you can get with the OPPO Find N2 Flip is superior to the one found on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. It is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ processor built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at 3.2 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 3.2 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. Alongside the chipset, there are up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. The handset announced are two: the OPPO Find N2 and the OPPO Find N2 Flip: the former is a horizontal foldable phone, while the latter is a flip phone, as its name suggests. But besides the form factors, is there any other important difference between their specifications? The answer is yes, more than one. As you can clearly see from the images, the form factors of these two foldable phones are completely different. The most beautiful one is definitely the Flip variant because it is able to become extremely compact and it has a more elegant body. On the external part of the phone, there is a 5.54-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The OPPO Find N2 Flip sports an AMOLED foldable display with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification, while on the external part it has a small 3.26-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 382 x 720 pixels able to show notifications, which can be also used to take selfies with the rear cameras.

Specs & Software

The hardware setups of these two phones are very close to each other. The OPPO Find N2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform, while the Find N2 Flip has the Dimensity 9000+ chipset by Mediatek. They are the best chipsets by Qualcomm and Mediatek out there if we exclude the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the Dimensity 9200 aimed at 2023 flagships. The processors are paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage. Both phones run Android 13 out of the box, customized by ColorOS 13.

Camera

The OPPO Find N2 has definitely better cameras than the OPPO Find N2 Flip. Its rear camera setup includes a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with a 50 MP resolution and OIS, as well as a 32 MP telephoto lens for portraits with 2x optical zoom and a 48 MP ultrawide camera. The Flip is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide lens: it does not even support OIS. Both phones come with a 32 MP selfie shooter, pretty good for everyone.

It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, a peak brightness of 950 nits, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The phones come with different protections for the displays: Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star 2 and Gorilla Glass 5, respectively. Note that the Realme GT Neo 3 is the only one with stereo speakers, so it offers an improved audio experience. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno 9 Pro sports an infrared sensor allowing you to use the phone as a remote control for your TV.

That is exactly the reason why a lot of people started wondering whether it is worth buying the latest entry-level phones or saving some money to get a device released one or two years ago. Among the most important entry-level phones released this year, the latest one is the Vivo Y02. Earlier this year, Realme came up with the Narzo 50i Prime. But a lot of people noticed that the Redmi 9 Prime released two years ago still has better specifications and it is available in the same price range. So which one to choose? We will try to let you find out through this comparison between the specifications of the Vivo Y02, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime, and the Redmi 9 Prime.

Design

In my honest opinion, the most attractive design belongs to the Realme Narzo 50i Prime, because it has a smaller camera module. But, especially if you are a girl, you may like the design of the Vivo Y02 very much in the lavender color option. The design of the Redmi 9 Prime is pretty outdated with its camera semaphore placed on the central part, but, on the other hand, it has a water repellent coating which may turn useful for you if you want to use your phone under the rain. Unfortunately, these phones are not built with premium materials as they all come with polycarbonate bodies, but the Redmi 9 Prime offers Gorilla Glass 3 protection by Corning for the display.

Display

The Redmi 9 Prime has the best display of the trio not because it has the Gorilla Glass 3 protection, but because it is the only one with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels). For the rest, it is a classic IPS LCD panel with a 6.53-inch diagonal and a typical brightness of 400 nits like the ones found on a lot of low cost devices. The displays of the Vivo Y02 and the Realme Narzo 50i Prime are almost the same things: the former has an IPS LCD panel with a diagonal of 6.51 inches and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, while the latter has a 6.5-inch display with the same resolution. Note that the Redmi is the only one sporting a fingerprint reader and it is side-mounted, placed on the power key.

Specs & Software

The Redmi 9 Prime has the most powerful hardware department. It is composed of a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset running at a max frequency of 2 GHz, up to 4 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of native storage. However, it ships with a very outdated Android version: it has Android 10. Then there is the Realme Narzo 50i Prime with a hardware setup composed of a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset running at 1.8 GHz, up to 4 GB of RAM, and up to 64 GB of internal storage (in this case, you get a UFS 2.2 storage). The Vivo Y02 takes the last place with an unknown octa-core chipset, just 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of native storage, but it is the only one with Android 12 out of the box.

Camera

The Redmi 9 Prime wins the camera comparison as well thanks to a quad rear camera composed of a 13 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, a 5 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Both Realme Narzo 50i Prime and Vivo Y02 get a single 8 MP rear camera.

Battery

These phones have the same battery capacity, but the Vivo Y02 and the Realme Narzo 50i Prime should last a bit more because they have displays with a lower resolution.

Price

The Vivo Y02 costs about $95/€90, just like the Realme Narzo 50i Prime, while the Redmi 9 Prime starts from about $139/€132 at the actual change. The Redmi 9 Prime is superior, but it has a very older Android version: would you prefer to buy it instead of the Vivo Y02 and the Narzo 50i Prime?

While the former already made its global debut, the latter is yet to hit the global market, but it is still unknown whether we will see a Pro Plus variant Global or it will be renamed with another moniker. There is no challenge if we talk about the design: the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus is way better. First of all, it is thinner and lighter, with a thickness of just 8 mm and a weight of 192 grams. Further, it is the only one from this duo with a curved screen at the sides, including a very high screen to body ratio superior to 90 percent of the front panel. It also comes with great build quality as it actually sports an aluminum frame and glass protected by the Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 protection. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is protected against water and dust with the IP53 certification, but it is not waterproof. But the Reno9 Pro+ is definitely more gorgeous.

Judging from the specs on the paper, it looks like the Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with a better display. It comes with an AMOLED panel able to show up to 68 billion colors with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, an 1.5K resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+ certification, a peak brightness of 900 nits, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The hardware found on the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus is slightly better than the Xiaomi 12T Pro. Both phones are equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform: a chipset built with a 4 nm production process and an octa-core architecture including a Cortex X2 CPU, three Cortex A710 CPUs, four Cortex A510 CPUs, and an Adreno 730 GPU. On the OPPO, the main core is underclocked with a max frequency of 3 GHz, while the Xiaomi 12T has the standard 3.19 GHz max frequency of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. However, the Reno9 Pro Plus sports a higher quantity of RAM: 16 GB instead of just 12 GB provided by Xiaomi, as well as more internal storage: 512 GB instead of 256 GB. Further, the OPPO Reno9 Pro+ has a more advanced Android version: it ships with the latest Android 13 out of the box instead of Android 12.

Camera

At first glance, it seems like the Xiaomi 12T Pro has a better camera as it sports the new 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor. However, the 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor found on the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus guarantees a higher photo quality, especially because it is supported by the OPPO’s proprietary NPU known as MariSilicon X. Last but not least, the OPPO flagship has a better front camera, with a 32 MP resolution instead of 20 MP found on the 12 T Pro.

One of them is definitely the Realme 10 Pro Plus, another handset that looks like a flagship and it is even more beautiful than the devices from the GT series. But besides knowing which is the most beautiful, people also need to know which one has the best specifications. Here is a comparison between the specifications of the Xiaomi Civi 2 and the Realme 10 Pro Plus that will help you to find out.

Design

In my opinion, the most interesting device in terms of design is the Xiaomi Civi 2. First of all, it is built with premium materials: glass for the back and aluminum for the frame. Further, it is one of the thinnest devices of this year, with a thickness of just 7.2 mm. Despite that, it contains a pretty good battery. Last but not least, it is equipped with a curved screen at the sides and a pill-shaped punch-hole that looks like the Dynamic Island of the latest iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Realme 10 Pro Plus is another very beautiful phone, with a curved display at the sides, a very high screen to body ratio, and a minimalistic camera module on the rear side. However, it is bigger and thicker than the Xiaomi, which is the reason why I prefer the compact design of the Civi 2.

Display

The display specifications of these two devices are not so different, but on the paper, it looks like the Xiaomi Civi 2 has a slightly better panel. It is an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.55 inches able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, Dolby Vision support, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. On the other hand, the Realme 10 Pro Plus has a wider panel, with a diagonal of 6.7 inches. The AMOLED panel of the Realme 10 Pro+ sports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, it can display up to one billion colors, it has a 120 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 800 nits. Both phones come with an in-display fingerprint reader, but the Realme is the only one with stereo speakers.

Specs & Software

The hardware setup of the Xiaomi Civi 2 is superior to the one found on the Realme 10 Pro Plus simply because this phone comes with a better chipset. We are talking about the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform, built with a 4 nm production process, sporting an octa-core architecture, and running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. With the Realme 10 Pro Plus, you get the Dimensity 1080 chipset by MediaTek built with a 6 nm production process and running at a max frequency of 2.6 GHz: the Dimensity 1080 is not only inferior to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, but even to the predecessor Snapdragon 778G. The highest-end memory configurations are the same, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage, but the Realme runs Android 13 out of the box, while the Xiaomi ships with Android 12.

With the Vivo V23 5G, there is an important introduction when it comes to the design: you may like it very much and it makes this device almost unique in its kind. The displays found on these two devices are exactly the same and there is only one single difference: the shape of the notch. The Vivo V21s gets a waterdrop notch, while the notch of the Vivo V23 5G is bigger and iPhone-like, as already mentioned above. The display is an AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.44 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2404 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of 800 nits, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. It is a very good panel for a midrange phone, so you should not worry about it. However, with these devices, you won’t get an advanced audio experience because they are not equipped with stereo speakers, and they do not even have a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The Vivo V23 5G has upgraded hardware if compared to the Vivo V21s, even though the differences are not huge and both are good mid-rangers even in terms of performance. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset built with a 6 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture including two Cortex A78 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2.5 GHz, six Cortex A55 CPUs running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G68 MC4 GPU. Alongside the SoC, there are up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. The Vivo V21s has a lower-end Dimensity 800U chipset by MediaTek built with a 7 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture composed of two Cortex A76 CPUs running at 2.4 GHz, six Cortex A55 cores running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G57 MC3. With this device, you can get just 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, but unlike its internal rival, it has a micro SD slot you can use to expand the native storage. Both phones run Android 12 and Funtouch OS 12.

Camera

I personally prefer the camera setup of the Vivo V21s if compared to the Vivo V23 5G. It has a triple rear camera including a 64 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro lens. The selfie camera is one of the best ever made: a 44 MP snapper with OIS and dual-LED front-facing flash. The Vivo V23 5G has exactly the same rear cameras but without OIS. On the front, there are two sensors: a 50 MP main shooter and an 8 MP ultrawide camera, paired with a dual-LED front-facing flash, but it lacks optical stabilization just like the main camera. For the first time, the new generation of the Honor Number Series contains a flagship phone. The Honor 80 Series is official with three different variants: the vanilla Honor 80, the Honor 80 Pro, and the Honor 80 SE. These three very different devices belong to different price ranges, but all are very valid. If you are evaluating this series, you probably want to know all the main differences between each model. Here you can learn the differences thanks this comparison between the specifications of the Honor 80, the Honor 80 Pro, and the Honor 80 SE in order to evaluate which one fits your needs the most.

Honor 80 vs Honor 80 Pro vs Honor 80 SE

Design

The most interesting design is the one of the Honor 80 Pro because it has a rear side with a more original texture and a more beautiful camera module. Further, on the front, it comes with incredibly narrow bezels around the display and a pill-shaped punch hole that looks like the Dynamic Island found on the latest iPhones. However, if you want a thinner and lighter phone, then you should go for the Honor 80 SE, even though the design is less impressive. But it is just slightly thinner and slightly lighter, and the dimensions are more or less the same. The vanilla version is still a beautiful phone with its dual camera module, very narrow bezels thanks to a display covering 90 percent of the front panel, and a single punch hole placed centrally.

Display

The best display belongs to the Honor 80 Pro. It is an OLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, an 1.5K resolution of 1224 x 2700 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR certification, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The vanilla version and the Special Edition have the same display specifications: an OLED panel with one billion colors, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Note that the Pro variant is the only one equipped with stereo speakers.

Specs & Software

As already mentioned, the Honor 80 Pro is the only device from this trio to feature flagship-class specifications. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform alongside 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of native storage. The vanilla version is an upper mid-ranger with a Snapdragon 782G chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB of native storage. The Special Edition is a mid-ranger with a Dimensity 900 chip, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage in the most expensive configuration. All the phones run Android 12 customized by Magic UI 7.

Camera

Even though it does not have optical stabilization, the Honor 80 Pro can be considered a high-end camera phone. It has a triple camera setup composed of a 160 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The vanilla version replaces the 50 MP ultrawide shooter with a less impressive 8 MP camera. The Honor 80 SE is totally different with its 64 MP dual camera.

Battery

The biggest battery is the one found on the Honor 80, even though there is a difference of just 100 mAh. All of these phones feature 66W fast charging.

Price

The starting price of the Honor 80 in China roughly translates into €370/$384, the Pro variant starts from €480/$498, and the SE costs €330/$343 in its base variant. They are yet to come into the global market. Which one would you pick?

The OPPO Reno9 Series went official in the Chinese market and it includes three variants: OPPO Reno9, Reno9 Pro, and Reno9 Pro+. The phones range from the midrange segment to the flagship one. For now, they are official only in China, but they will come soon to the global markets too. They are not expected to launch in Europe, where at least one of the variants should come under the Find X6 lineup. While waiting for their global launch, it is time to learn the differences between each variant. That is the reason why we decided to publish a comparison between the specifications of the OPPO Reno9, the Reno9 Pro, and the Reno9 Pro Plus.

Design

Even though it is not the most expensive variant of the lineup, I love the design of the vanilla OPPO Reno9, especially in the special Red color option. It is very thin and lightweight, much more than the Pro Plus version, even though the latter has a higher build quality. And it is also the only variant to come in that Red color option with gold accents around the camera module. The Pro variant has exactly the same design, the same dimensions, and the same weight, but it does not have the red color option and this is the only difference. Unfortunately, the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus is thicker and heavier, which is why I prefer the vanilla version, even though the Pro Plus has an aluminum frame.

Display

All of these phones are equipped with exactly the same display, there are no differences. It is an AMOLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, a peak brightness of 950 nits, the Asahi Glass AGC DT Star 2 protection, and an in-display fingerprint reader. It is not the best display you can find on an OPPO device, but it is still a high-end panel. An important difference of the Pro Plus variant is the presence of stereo speakers for an improved audio experience.

Specs & Software

One of the most important advantages of the OPPO Reno9 Pro+ is the hardware department, as it is currently the most powerful OPPO phone out there. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage. The OPPO Reno9 Pro is less powerful, but still equipped with a high-end chipset: the Dimensity 8100 Max by Mediatek, paired with 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage. The vanilla version is just a mid-ranger, with a Snapdragon 778G mobile platform, up to 12 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB of storage. All the handsets run Android 13 out of the box, customized by ColorOS 13.

Camera

OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus is the only phone of the series that we define as a flagship camera phone. It has a triple camera setup including a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP macro camera. The Reno9 Pro takes the silver medal with its 50 MP Sony IMX890 main camera (without OIS) and an 8 MP ultrawide shooter. The Reno9 is just a mid-ranger with its 64 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro lens, and no ultrawide sensor.

Battery

You can get a longer battery life with the OPPO Reno9 Pro Plus thanks to a bigger 4700 mAh battery, as well as a faster charging technology with a power of 80W.

Honor launched its second foldable phone ever: the Honor Magic Vs. Even though it is one of the first foldable devices ever released by this brand, it is perfectly able to compete with the best foldable phones in the market. Unfortunately, it is still not available in the global market, but if you are from China or if you import it, you can currently grab a unit. But is it the best foldable phone you can get? There is no better way to understand it than comparing it to the most widespread foldable phone out there. Currently, the only last-generation foldable phone able to transform into a tablet sold in the global market is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. So, we decided to publish a comparison between the main specifications of the Honor Magic Vs and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4.

Design

Honor Magic Vs and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 have the same form factor. They come with a foldable internal display able to transform the phone into a tablet, as well as a smaller external display that transforms it into a traditional phone while it is folded. I personally prefer the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 because its dimensions are more compact and its design is more minimalistic. Further, this phone is waterproof with the IPX8 certification and it has an armor aluminum frame with high drop and scratch resistance. So, it also comes with a very high build quality. However, the color option of the Honor Magic Vs with a leader black and a magnesium alloy frame is very interesting. Unfortunately, the Honor phone is not waterproof, but the build quality remains very high.

Display

The displays of these two phones are not so different in terms of image quality. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has an internal AMOLED display with a diagonal of 7.6 inches, a 2K+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. With the Honor Magic Vs, you get an OLED display with one billion colors, a 7.9-inch diagonal, a 2K+ resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. On the external part, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 sports a smaller 6.2-inch display with an HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the Honor Magic Vs has a bigger 6.45-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, one billion colors, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Note that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 supports the S Pen, while the Honor phone does not.

Specs & Software

The hardware departments are at the same level with the exception of the internal storage of the most expensive configuration. Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform built with a 4 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 core running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 cores running at 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A510 cores running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. The chipset is paired with 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage on the Magic Vs, while the Samsung has up to 1 TB of internal storage to offer. The Samsung runs Android 12L out of the box, a special version of Android optimized for large screens like one of the foldable phones, while the Honor device is based on Android 12.

Camera

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a better main camera: a 50 MP main sensor with OIS. It also features a better telephoto sensor, with 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Honor Magic Vs has a better ultrawide camera with a 50 MP resolution instead of just 12 MP.

Battery

The Honor Magic Vs has a bigger battery and its battery life is longer, as well as charging speeds thanks to 66W fast charging.
