The successor of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro for India is different from the original model sold in China. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro for India is actually a rebranded Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus from China.
Hence, the phone has a larger display and it is run by Mediatek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
Just like its predecessors, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro is also a lifestyle smartphone. The handset’s primary highlights are its design and camera features.
The phone’s design is inspired by the Oppo Find X series and the Samsung Galaxy S series. It features a glass sandwich body with a metal frame.
It comes with a 50MP (Sony IMX766) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera system and a 32MP selfie camera powered by self-developed MariSilicon NPU. A 6.7-inch 10-bit 120Hz AMOLED display sits on the front with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The 12GB + 256 version of the phone is priced at ₹42,999. This model has support for 150W fast wired charging (4,500mAh battery) and it also arrives in a Thor Love and Thunder Limited Edition.
Whereas, the lower 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants cost around ₹37,000-₹40,000 and they come with a larger 5,000mAH battery but are limited to 80W fast wired charging.
Having said that, if you don’t like the flashy paint job, you can consider the OnePlus 10R, which is basically the same device with different CMF (Color, Material, Finish).
iQOO 9
The iQOO 9 comes with a 10-bit 120Hz AMOLED display but the size is smaller at 6.56 inches. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset and a 4,350mAh battery keeps the light on with support for 120W fast wired charging.
