We can’t have a list of best smartphones with a stylus without mentioning the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G. This model is one of Samsung’s flagship smartphones and is the top of the line version in the Galaxy S22 series. So it features top notch specs and features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 108 megapixel primary rear camera, and 6.8 inch AMOLED display that has a 3200×1440 pixel resolution as well. Enthusiasts that preferred stylus compatible phones typically gravitated to the brand’s Galaxy Note series, which has been discontinued. With these specs, it isn’t a model that stands out, but the addition of a stylus immediately makes it more unique than conventional mid range phones.
While the two Samsung phones had a hefty price tag due to their premium category, this device is a lot more affordable with a price tag of around 299 US Dollars. But despite its rather humble but capable specs, the stylus brings a lot more functions for the consumers. One can simply take down notes, start drawing, edit images, and all of the usual features that a stylus offers.
Microsoft Surface Duo 2
Microsoft had announced the Surface Duo 2 back in 2021. So this model is already a year old. However, it is one of the few notable smartphones with a stylus. The unique selling point of the Surface Duo 2 was its dual display design. This device was made to be a productivity centric model. It comes with a twin 5.8 inch displays and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. This model also comes with stylus support, but it is sold separately as well. The original Surface Duo had faced many issues with software, but its successor comes with a number of improvements.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series
Lastly, we have an honorable mention of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. Like we stated above, the Galaxy Note lineup was popular for the top notch premium specs and featured it offered alongside the S Pen. Thus, the Galaxy Note 20 series deserves a spot on this list as the last Note phones from the company. The Note 20 series had two models in its family, including the Galaxy Note 20 and the top end Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Both models are the last of their kind, technically at least, but still offer capable specs that make them viable as a stylus phone option in 2022.
The devices pack a Snapdragon 865 SoC+ and a 6.7 inch panel for the base and 6.9 inch screen on the Ultra variant. Since the Note series was always made to be a productivity based flagship phone, it offers a feature rich S Pen experience that can enable quick note taking and much more. Thanks to its 5G support, it is still relevant in the current market as well. There is but one issue, a new Note 20 series model is a bit hard to come across. It would be easier to find a used model, but if you’re lucky, a sealed listing could be found.
