The Best Smartwatches in India (2022)

    18

Smart wearables are on a rise in India, with multiple brands offering a diverse range of smartwatches. While many of them look like watches and offer some basic smart capabilities, they are really fitness trackers with a watch-like design. As a result, not all of them can be considered smartwatches.

To separate the actual smartwatches from glorified fitness bands, we have compiled a list of the best smartwatches offered in India.

    Apple Watch Series 8

Kicking off the list, we have the latest smartwatch from Apple, the Apple Watch Series 8. The new smartwatch from Apple improves upon the Apple Watch 7 by including a temperature sensor. The overall build quality of the device is top-notch, as can be expected from an Apple product, and the fitness tracking and easy-to-read notifications are also among the best, if not the best offered in the market right now.

The watch has a lot of health-related features, including a 24/7 heart-rate monitor heart-rate monitor, a SpO2 sensor for measuring blood-oxygen saturation, a real-time ECG app, a sleep tracker that accurately identifies sleeping habits, and a period tracker with a comprehensive representation of the menstrual cycle.

Smart features like quick reminders, answering/making calls from your watch, navigation, and Siri integration make the device much more attractive than any other smartwatch currently on the market. The only downside with the Apple Watch is that it only works with an iPhone.

With the Apple Watch Series 7, you can expect an average battery life of 18 hours, and 50 ATM water resistance. It comes in 41mm and 45mm variants, with 1.7-inch and 1.9-inch display sizes, respectively. The Apple Watch Series 8 has a starting price of Rs 45,990 for the GPS-only 41mm version, whereas the Cellular enabled 41mm version costs Rs 55,990. On the other hand, the GPS-only 45mm version has a price tag of Rs 48,990 and the GPS+Cellular variant costs Rs 58,990.

On the other hand, Galaxy Watch 4 can be found going for around Rs. 10,000 on Flipkart and Amazon. However, Samsung has it officially listed with a starting price tag of Rs 26,999.
