    Design

The OPPO Reno8 T 5G features a sleek design with dimensions of 162.3 x 74.3 x 7.7 mm and a weight of 171g. It has a plastic frame and a curved AMOLED display, providing a premium look and feel. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G has a slightly larger form factor, measuring 165.5 x 76 x 8.3 mm and weighing 195g. The design is also more robust, featuring an IPS LCD display. The fact that the OPPO Reno8 T 5G is slimmer and packs a curved screen lets it win the design comparison without any doubt: if you love having beautiful phones, then you know what to choose.

    Display

The Reno8 T 5G offers a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels (Full HD+), while the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G has a slightly larger 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (Full HD+ too). The AMOLED screen on the Reno8 T 5G delivers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and a higher pixel density of 395 PPI, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. Unfortunately, the IPS display of the new OnePlus affordable phone is not able to compete in any way with its opponent released by OPPO.

    Specs & Software

Both smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, offering smooth performance and 5G connectivity. It is a midrange mobile platform built with a 6 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of two Kryo 660 Gold cores running at a max frequency of 2.2 GHz, six Kryo 660 Silver cores running at 1.7 GHz, and an Adreno 619 GPU. The phones come with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage in their most expensive memory configuration, with microSD card slots for additional storage. Both devices will provide similar performance and support for 5G networks. The OPPO Reno8 T 5G runs on Android 13 with the ColorOS customization, while the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G features Android 13 with the OxygenOS skin. These two user interfaces are almost the same as the OxygenOS is almost a rebranded ColorOS.

    Camera

The camera setups on both devices are quite similar, with a triple camera configuration featuring a 108 MP main sensor, a 2 MP macro lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor. However, the Reno8 T 5G has a 32 MP front-facing camera for selfies, while the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G has a slightly lower resolution 16 MP front-facing camera. So, given that the software features of these phones are the same, the OPPO Reno8 T 5G wins the camera comparison just because of its better selfie snapper.

    Battery

The OPPO Reno8 T 5G has a 4800 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, while the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G comes with a larger 5000 mAh battery and the same 67W fast charging capability. The Nord CE 3 Lite 5G provides longer battery life in several scenarios, but not always: it has an IPS LCD display consuming more energy than the AMOLED panel found on the OPPO Reno8 T 5G. Both devices offer quick charging times, but the OPPO will obviously charge quicker because it has a smaller battery.

    Price

The OPPO Reno8 T 5G carries a starting price that roughly translates into €340 or $371 at the actual change, while the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G just debuted in the European market with a starting price of €329 or $359. Note that the OPPO mid-ranger is only available in the Asian market, while the OnePlus one also made its debut in Europe alongside the Nord Buds 2 true wireless earphones. Which one would you pick?
