    Design

The Vivo X100 and the Vivo X100 Pro come with the same design but different color variants. They have a curved screen on the front with a punch hole housing the front cameras. On the rear side, they have a big circle containing all the camera components. The Pro variant is thicker and heavier than the base variant because it sports a bigger battery, so if the design is your priority, then you should definitely go for the vanilla version. However, if you are looking for a better phone, then you should surely choose the most advanced version and you will get the same look with an even better color variant. Talking about the materials, there are color options of these phones made of glass and metal and other color options with a leather back. Which one would you prefer?

    Display

These two handsets have exactly the same display. It is not the most advanced display you can find out there, but it is definitely one of the best ones. We are talking about an AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a diagonal of 6.78 inches, so very wide. The panel is curved at the sides and it sports the LTPO technology enabling an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The display is able to reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness and it has a PWM dimming of 2,160 Hz. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, these two phones do not provide a Quad HD+ resolution, but it is not so important on the screen of a phone. The resolution of both devices is 1260 x 2800 pixels.

    Specs & Software

As already mentioned in the introduction, the Vivo X100 and the Vivo X100 Pro are the world’s first phones with the Dimensity 9300 mobile platform. It is the best processor ever released by Mediatek until now and it is built with a 4 nm production process. The Dimensity 9300 is composed of a Cortex X4 core running at a max frequency of 3.25 GHz, three Cortex X4 cores running at a max frequency of 2.85 GHz, four Cortex A720 cores running at 2 GHz, and an Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU. Alongside the chipset, you get up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The operating system installed on the phone is Android 14 with Funtouch OS to customize it.

    Camera

The cameras of the Vivo X100 and the Vivo X100 Pro have the same resolutions, but there are different sensors. The Pro variant wins the camera comparison because its main camera is a Sony IMX989 sensor with a size of 1 inch, definitely one of the best cameras you can find on a phone. You do not get this sensor on the vanilla version, even though you still get a good Sony camera. Alongside the 50 MP main camera, there are a 50 MP periscope lens with the APO Zeiss technology and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter.

    Battery

With the Pro variant, you actually get a bigger battery with a capacity of up to 5400 mAh, while the vanilla version has up to 5000 mAh of battery. On the other hand, the vanilla version charges quicker with 120W fast charging, but it does not support 50W wireless charging.

    Price

The vanilla version starts from €520 or $600, while the Pro variant starts from €640 or more than $700. Which one would you pick?
