The Vivo X90 Pro is a premium smartphone with a glass and aluminum build. It has a curved screen and is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus is a sleek and stylish smartphone with a metal and glass build, but also with a more compact size and with a more minimalistic look. Just like its rival, the Galaxy S23 Plus is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. Between these two phones, I personally prefer the design of the Samsung flagship (which also offers the sturdy Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection by Corning), but given that the X90 Pro comes in a special leather color option, your opinion might be different from mine. So you should actually evaluate these phones by analyzing them with your eyes and choosing your favorite design.
Display
The Vivo X90 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels. The display supports HDR10+ and has a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus has a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display also supports HDR10+ and has a 120 Hz refresh rate. Judging from the specs on the paper, the Vivo X90 Pro looks to have a more interesting panel and it is also wider with a diagonal of 6.78 inches. So I would personally prefer this device over its opponent, even though the Galaxy S23 Plus has a higher peak brightness of 1,750 nits and a better ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display.

The Vivo X90 Pro is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9200 chipset with an octa-core architecture and a max frequency of 3.05 GHz. The device comes with either 8 or 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 native storage. The operating system is Android 13 with Funtouch OS or Origin OS depending on the market (Funtouch OS globally, Origin OS in China). On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset (in a special optimized variant with a higher clock frequency) with an octa-core architecture and a max frequency of 3.36 GHz. The device comes with 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 native storage. The operating system is Android 13 with One UI. The Vivo X90 Pro wins the hardware comparison due to the presence of a higher quantity of RAM.

The Vivo X90 Pro has a triple camera setup with 50.3 + 50 + 12 MP sensors and a 32 MP front-facing camera. It includes a main sensor with OIS, an ultrawide one, and a telephoto lens. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus has a triple camera setup with 50 + 10 + 12 MP sensors and a 12 MP front-facing camera. This phone provides a main sensor with OIS, a telephoto lens, and an ultrawide sensor as well, but its secondary cameras are actually inferior.
