    Design

    The Vivo X90 Pro has a unique and sleek design with a leather and aluminum build that feels premium in your hand. Unfortunately, on the European market, it only comes in a single color variant: Legendary Black, so you do not have a lot of choices in terms of color options. It has a camera island on the back, and it also features IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, making it a durable phone. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a more conventional design with a glass back (but there is a ceramic variant), an aluminum frame, and curved edges. It’s slightly smaller and lighter than the Vivo X90 Pro, making it easier to hold. It is the first Xiaomi waterproof phone alongside the vanilla version, with the IP68 certification.

    Display

    The Vivo X90 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels (to be accurate it is 1.5K and it sits in the middle between Full HD+ and Quad HD+). It also features HDR10+ support and a 120 Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and immersive viewing experience. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.73-inch AMOLED display but with higher a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. It also features HDR10+ support and a 120 Hz refresh rate (adaptive from 1 to 120 Hz), providing a stunning and crisp display. While the difference in resolution may not be noticeable to the naked eye, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a slightly better display.

    The Vivo X90 Pro is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9200 chipset with an octa-core architecture running at a max frequency of 3.05 GHz. It comes with either 8 or 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 native storage. The operating system is Android 13 with Funtouch OS or Origin OS depending on the market. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with an octa-core architecture and a max frequency of 3.2 GHz. It comes with either 8 or 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. The operating system is Android 13 with MIUI. Both phones offer top-of-the-line hardware and software, so the decision comes down to personal preference: would you go for the Qualcomm flagship SoC or for the MediaTek one?
