A new addition to the Vivo V30 series could be arriving soon. The Vivo V30e has surfaced on multiple certification sites including Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG, and BIS.
Now, an image of the retail box, leaked by Kiki Def and Raihan Han (and shared by Paras Guglani on X/Twitter), has revealed the design of the smartphone.
The front view of the smartphone shows a curved display with a punch-hole selfie camera. Volume and power buttons are located on the right side. According to Paras Guglani, Vivo V30e’s colors will include Artistic Red and Artistic Blue, consistent with previous models.
The smartphone’s earlier appearances on certification websites have confirmed some key specifications. It’s likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with Adreno 710 GPU, coupled with 8GB RAM and running Android 14 out of the box.
Bluetooth SIG certification also verifies Bluetooth 5.1 support. Additionally, its listing on India’s BIS platform hints at an imminent Indian launch.

Now a set of photos released byITHome reveals the size of the SoC. Turns out, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 measures smaller than the regular 8 Gen 3. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 measures 8.40×10.66mm which is a substantial 34.73% area reduction compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s 10.71×12.81mm footprint.
Beyond the physical size, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 also features a smaller cache configuration. The ultra-large X4 core’s L2 cache has been halved from 2MB to 1 MB. There are similar reductions across the board in L2, L3, and SLC cache sizes.

While most emulators are legal, the same is not true for the ROMs
Here’s the catch: Apple’s wording is a bit vague. Unlike Android and desktop emulators, these might not let you play any retro game you find online. Retro game emulation hinges on ROM files – digital copies of game cartridges or discs. While emulators themselves are legal, the legality of ROMs downloaded from the internet gets murky.
Some ROMs exist in the public domain or have licenses permitting distribution. Others fall under copyrighted intellectual property, but the original owner might be defunct or untraceable. Finally, there are ROMs (think many Nintendo games) where the owner actively controls distribution and enforces copyright.
Interestingly, game publishers sometimes use emulators to run their own retro games and sell them as standalone titles or collections on modern platforms.
Based on Apple’s language, our interpretation is that only the last scenario might be permitted. This means companies owning the intellectual property could potentially launch emulator apps for users to download ROMs of their own games (and only their own games). Imagine a Sega app offering an ever-growing library of Sega classics for purchase, subscription, or even free! Sega has dabbled in iPhone emulation before, but with separate apps for each game.
Apple highlights developer responsibility for ensuring offered software complies with its guidelines and all applicable laws. While they specifically mention “retro game console emulator apps” offering downloads as an exception, no other download methods are addressed.

1. Lock Screen Customisations

DJI, the leading brand in camera stabilization technology, is gearing up to reveal its latest products on April 9. Although the company hasn’t confirmed it officially, there’s strong speculation that DJI will introduce the RS 4 and RS 4 Pro camera gimbals.

According to the leaks from @Quadro_News, the RS 4 series is expected to come with several improvements compared to their predecessors. These include second-generation vertical scanning for smoother transitions, an extended tilt axis for more creative possibilities, and DJI’s latest fourth-generation stabilization algorithm.
Importantly, the new gimbals will maintain a payload capacity of 3 kg, allowing compatibility with a wide range of cameras and lenses. There will also be support for features like Bluetooth control and DJI Focus Pro.
