OnePlus B20P02 December Update Rolls Out Improving Phone Manager and Smart Sidebar Features

OnePlus started rolling out system update B20P02 on December 24, 2025. The company says all eligible devices should receive it by around January 12, 2026.

Users don’t need to wait for the gradual rollout. They can install the update as soon as it shows up on their device. OnePlus is rolling it out in stages to maintain stability across different models and OxygenOS versions.

The B20P02 update brings small system improvements instead of major new features. On devices with OxygenOS 15 and above, the Phone Manager app now shows a pop-up asking users to allow automatic blocklist updates over Wi-Fi and mobile data. When enabled, the blocklist updates more often, which improves spam detection and protection.

Tablets running OxygenOS 16 get an improved partial screenshot experience. The process is now smoother and easier to use when capturing specific areas of the screen.

The Smart Sidebar also gets a change. Users can now open storage cleanup tools directly from the sidebar, making it faster to manage storage and clear files.

The update also includes general system stability improvements for better background performance and reliability. The B20P02 update is rolling out to multiple OxygenOS versions and devices.

Realme’s 10,000mAh phone gets pictured in a fresh reveal

Realme was the first brand to publicly tease the idea of a smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery. But when it came to actually putting such a device on sale, Honor got there first with the new Honor Win series. 

Honor Win and Win RT are the first commercially available phones with a 10,000mAh battery. However, it now looks like Realme isn’t that far behind after all.

Making the powerbank obsolete!

A Russian blogging site has shared an image of an upcoming Realme smartphone that packs a 10,001mAh battery. The device carries the model number RMX5107 and has reportedly also been certified with Hi-Res Audio certification.

As we can see in the image, the phone runs Realme UI 7.0 and is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. As usual with early reveals, this may not be the only configuration Realme plans to offer, but no additional memory variants have been confirmed yet.

For context, Realme’s current battery ceiling sits well below this mark. The company’s largest batteries so far top out at 7,000mAh, found in phones like the Realme 15T 5G and the Realme Narzo 80. Jumping straight to a 10,000mAh cell would be a significant shift, not just for Realme but for mainstream smartphone design in general.

Last but not least, the phone has also received approval from Europe’s EEC, suggesting the device is now well prepared for an official debut.

Vivo V70 Elite 5G and new T-series, Y-series phones clear key hurdle ahead of launch

Recent reports indicate that the Vivo V70 series will feature multiple models. While there is no mention of a “Pro” version this time, the brand is reportedly planning a four-device lineup consisting of the Vivo V70, V70 Elite, V70 Lite, and V70 FE.

The series is set to launch in various global markets, though availability is likely to vary by region. The standard V70 has already received regulatory approval in several countries, including India. In a further development, the V70 Elite 5G has also been approved in India, confirming that this model is also headed to the Indian market.

The above screenshot shows that four upcoming Vivo smartphones, bearing model numbers V2544, V2548, V2538, and V2545, have been approved by India’s BIS authority. Several other certifications have already revealed that the V2538 will be marketed as the Vivo V70.

As for the other devices, previous IMEI database listings have revealed that the V2544, V2548, and V2545 will be called the Vivo Y51 5G, Vivo V70 Elite 5G, and Vivo T5x 5G, respectively. Unfortunately, the specifications of these phones remain under wraps.

The inclusion of the “Elite” branding suggests that this model will be positioned above the V70, which is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. A recent leak claimed that while the V70 may be priced at around Rs 45,000 (~$500), the V70 Elite could cost approximately Rs 50,000 (~$555). As far as the V70 Lite and V70 FE, these devices may not be released in India.

It would not be surprising if the Vivo V70 Elite turns out to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50, which recently debuted in China. The S50 features a 6.59-inch OLED LTPS 1.5K 120Hz display with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it packs the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging. For imaging, it offers a 50-megapixel front camera, an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS support.

HMD Pulse 2+ key specs leaked: 120Hz display, improved selfie and 4.5G support

A new leak may have revealed most of the specs for HMD’s upcoming Pulse 2+, giving an early idea of what the budget phone will offer.

The details were shared on X by HMD_MEME’S (@smashx_60). According to the post, the Pulse 2+ is expected to feature a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is said to use Dragon Tail glass for protection.

Powering the phone is reportedly the Unisoc T615 chipset. It’s an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, and it’s already used in a few other HMD models. RAM options are listed at 4GB and 6GB, paired with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

Battery capacity is tipped at 5,000mAh, with 20W wired charging support. The leak also mentions an IP54 rating, which should offer basic protection against dust and splashes. Software is expected to be Android 15, running out of the box.

Camera hardware looks straightforward. The phone is said to pack a 50 MP main camera with PDAF and an f/1.8 aperture, alongside a 2 MP secondary sensor. On the front, there’s a 13 MP selfie camera.

Other features mentioned in the leak include Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, support for 4.5G networks, and a customisable hardware button. For context, 4.5G — also known as LTE-Advanced Pro — sits between standard 4G LTE and 5G, offering higher peak speeds and lower latency on supported networks.

For reference, last year’s HMD Pulse+, which launched in April, features a 6.65-inch display with the same resolution, an 8MP selfie camera, and runs on the Unisoc T606 chipset. Based on data from NanoReview, the newer Unisoc T615 offers a modest uplift over the T606, with slight gains on both the CPU and GPU side. It’s not a major jump, but it should translate to marginally smoother everyday performance.

HMD hasn’t commented on the leak so far, and there’s no word yet on pricing or launch timing. If the specs hold up, the Pulse 2+ looks set to focus on a smooth display and more reliable connectivity rather than raw performance.

The above screenshot reveals that the Realme Neo 8, bearing the model number RMX8899, has been approved by China’s 3C authority. The listing indicates that the device may ship with an 80W fast charger.

Realme Neo 8 specifications (rumored)

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, this recently certified phone will arrive with a massive 8,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Like recent Realme phones, this device is expected to ship with Android 16 based on Realme UI 7.

Here’s a detailed look at the best Casio watches released this year, from cutting-edge innovations to retro classics.

1. Edifice EFK-100

Casio introduced the Edifice EFK-100 series as its first automatic watch. The model showcases a mechanical movement inspired by the precision and performance of motorsports engineering. The EFK100CD-1A features a dial made from forged carbon, a lightweight and durable material commonly used in supercars and aerospace applications.

The lineup includes three models: EFK100CD-1A, EFK100D-7A, and EFK100D-2A. Each watch uses a sapphire crystal and features a see-through case back that showcases the 24-jewel automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve. The dial prioritizes readability, with a clean three-hand layout, a date window, and luminous tips for low-light conditions.

2. G-Shock Nano DWN-5600

Despite its size, the Nano supports dual time, a stopwatch, automatic calendar, and a soft flashing LED light. Casio used bio-based resin for the case and band, reinforcing its focus on sustainability. The watch ships with a silicone stand and comes in black, red, and yellow.

3. Casio AE-1700H

The AE-1700H is one of Casio’s most practical digital watches of the year. It features a wide display, aluminum rotating bezel, and support for dual time zones. The watch includes a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, LED backlight, and three alarms.

It also includes a dedicated fishing mode that relies on lunar data to indicate optimal fishing times. The watch offers 100-meter water resistance and a 10-year battery life. Casio has launched the AE-1700H in three variants, featuring silver, red-blue, and negative display designs.

4. G-Shock GBA-950

Casio updated its G-Squad lineup with the GBA-950, a sports watch designed for comfort and training. The company collaborated with Outsense Inc. to develop a new band using origami-inspired folding angles. This design improves flexibility and wrist fit during activity.

7. Casio AQ-240 Vintage Series

Global Xiaomi 17 Ultra certified in India, Thailand, and Singapore, smaller battery expected

Xiaomi has just launched the much-anticipated Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China. Speculation is rife that its global journey may begin soon, as its overseas variants have received approval in multiple countries, including India, Thailand, and Singapore.

As can be seen above, the Indian variants of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17, with respective model numbers 2512BPNDAI and 25113PN0EI, have been approved by India’s BIS authority.

The above screenshots show that both phones, carrying model numbers 2512BPNDAG and 25113PN0EG, respectively, have also been certified by the NBTC authority in Thailand.

Singapore’s IMDA authority approved the standard Xiaomi 17 back in October. The above screengrab shows that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s two variants, with model numbers 2512BPNDAG and 25128PNA1G, have been certified by the IMDA certification platform. While the 2512BPNDAG is the regular Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the 25128PNA1G is believed to be the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition.

Xiaomi Group VP and CMO Xu Fei recently confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be released globally in 2026. However, the official timeframe has yet to be confirmed. Rumors surrounding the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 series suggest that it could debut in March 2026.

Reports also indicate that the global versions of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature smaller batteries than their Chinese counterparts. While the Xiaomi 17’s Chinese edition packs a 5,400mAh battery, its global version may come with a 5,240mAh battery. Similarly, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra sold in China houses a 6,800mAh battery, whereas its global edition may include a 6,000mAh battery.

What about the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max? Reports suggest that these devices may not launch in markets outside of China.

Oppo adds a seventh model to its A6 series with the A6t Pro

As if six phones were not enough, Oppo has introduced a seventh member to its Oppo A6 lineup called the A6t Pro. Despite the “Pro” branding, it’s still a low- to mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 685 chip. That said, the phone does come with a large 7,000mAh battery.

The phone is built around a 6.75-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1520 × 720. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum global brightness of 800 nits, and a peak brightness of up to 1,125 nits.

The front is also home to an 8MP selfie camera, while you get a 50-megapixel main and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens on the back. 

As mentioned earlier, its performance is handled by Snapdragon 685. It’s a 4G only chip with four ARM Cortex-A73 cores (@2.8 GHz), four ARM Cortex-A53 cores (@1.9 GHz), and an Adreno 610 GPU. Memory options include 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The latter is expandable up to 2TB via a micro SD card. 

Oppo claims the phone also has a 3900mm² vapor chamber cooling system to keep the thermals in check. 

The big highlight of the phone, unsurprisingly, is its 7000mAh cell, which supports 45W wired charging. The phone weighs around 215 grams and is approximately 8.61mm thick.

Oppo A6t Pro is also rated for 5 years of system fluency and meets IP69 dust and water resistance standards. You can get it in Crystal White and Crystal Violet colors.

However, Oppo has not yet announced the release date or pricing for the phone, though it is expected to launch at a relatively low price point.

POCO M8 Series Specs & Launch Timeline Leaks: Snapdragon Chips, 120Hz Displays, and Large Batteries

POCO will launch its M8 5G series phones in India next month, according to tipster Paras Guglani on X. The devices are rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 15 series, which launches on January 6, 2026.

Price and Storage

The M8 5G will come with 8GB RAM and storage options up to 512GB. POCO plans to price it higher than competitors since most don’t offer such large storage variants. Guglani didn’t mention anything about the M8 Pro 5G’s launch timing in his post.

According to leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, the base model has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with 2392 x 1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The camera system includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, 2MP depth sensor, and 20MP front camera. It packs a 5,520mAh battery with 45W charging.

The design shows a dual-tone back with matte and vegan leather finishes. A centered squircle camera module holds two cameras and an LED flash. The phone measures 162.2 x 74.2 x 8.4mm, weighs 190g, and has IP68 water resistance. It includes an optical fingerprint sensor, hybrid microSD slot, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, and IR blaster.

M8 Pro 5G Specs

The Pro model uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip with a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED display at 2772 x 1280 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The camera setup adds an 8MP ultrawide to the 50MP OIS main camera, plus a 32MP selfie camera.

It has a 6,500mAh battery with 100W charging. Despite the bigger battery, it’s thinner at 7.9mm but heavier at 207g. It measures 162.5 x 74.7 x 7.9mm. Like the standard model, it has IP68 rating, optical fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 5, IR blaster, and hybrid microSD slot, but gets Bluetooth 5.4.

Both phones run Android 15 with HyperOS 2. Flipkart has shown teasers matching the leaked designs. Official announcements should come soon.

Dreame launches PM Neo air purifier with formaldehyde decomposition tech and 7-in-1 real-time sensors

Dreame has launched the PM Neo air purifier in China with a price tag of 3,199 yuan ($455). The company positions it as a full-area smart purification system designed for whole-home use, with a focus on long-term formaldehyde removal.

The PM Neo features Dreame’s FCO catalytic formaldehyde decomposition technology, which breaks formaldehyde down into water vapor and carbon dioxide. This approach avoids secondary pollution and removes the need for frequent filter replacements. Dreame claims the purifier can remove up to 99.24% of formaldehyde, with one hour of operation equivalent to the adsorption capacity of over 130 kilograms of traditional activated carbon.

The system includes a proprietary catalytic filter that supports continuous formaldehyde breakdown in both high-concentration and long-term low-release environments. The purifier can handle emissions from furniture and building materials over a period of up to 10 to 15 years.

Dreame equips the PM Neo with an intelligent dual-air-duct design that adjusts between jet and diffusion airflow modes depending on indoor air quality. The system delivers a clean air output of up to 300 cubic meters per hour and can purify a 100 square meter room in around 20 minutes. It supports coverage of up to 157 square meters, with a maximum airflow distance of 10 meters.

The purifier uses a six-stage purification process. The stages include a high-density mesh for hair and dust, an H13 filter for particles as small as 0.1 microns, a columnar activated carbon layer, a formaldehyde decomposition filter, and dual sterilization using UVC light and high-concentration plasma.

The PM Neo integrates a seven-in-one sensor array that tracks PM1, PM2.5, PM10, temperature, humidity, formaldehyde, and TVOC levels in real time, with readings shown on a built-in LCD color display. It also features a millimeter wave radar that detects user movement within a five-meter range, automatically turning the unit on and adjusting airflow direction across a 120-degree arc.

Dreame supports multiple control options for the PM Neo, including a mobile app, remote control, voice commands, and an on-device interface. The device operates at as low as 32 dB(A) in comfort mode.

The Best Wi-Fi 7 Routers You Can Buy in 2026

Although a new tech, Wi-Fi 7 has been around long enough now that it’s not a novelty in 2026. Subsequently, WiFi 7 routers are also making their way to the mainstream scene with claims of faster speeds and improved reliability. 

Wi-Fi 7, officially known as IEEE 802.11be, brings a handful of meaningful technical upgrades. It supports wider channels, higher modulation, and something called Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which lets devices connect across multiple bands at the same time.

In theory, this should reduce latency and improve stability when networks are busy. So if you’re still on Wi-Fi 5 or an early Wi-Fi 6 router, moving to Wi-Fi 7 can feel like a noticeable upgrade. 

Here are some of the more sensible Wi-Fi 7 routers you can buy in 2026. We try to break them by category and use case, rather than raw speed claims. Let’s go…

1. What Wi-Fi 7 Actually Changes at Home

It’s easy to get lost in marketing numbers, so it’s worth grounding expectations early. Wi-Fi 7’s headline speeds of up to 30Gbps are obviously not realistic for home internet connections.

However, where Wi-Fi 7 might make a difference is consistency. MLO allows devices to use multiple bands at once, which can help when one band is congested or unstable. The wider 320MHz channels in the 6GHz band also help in areas where interference is minimal, though its range is even more limited than the 5GHz band. 

The other benefit is longevity. Wi-Fi 7 routers are likely to remain relevant for longer as laptops, phones, and consoles will start widely adopting the standard in 2026. 

2. ASUS RT-BE96U

ASUS’s RT-BE96U is our pick for the best overall performance router. It’s a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router with strong overall performance, a generous selection of ports, and a full suite of security and management tools you expect from Asus. 

The hardware includes multi-gig Ethernet ports, including 10Gbps options, which makes sense if you’re running a NAS, a desktop workstation, or faster-than-gigabit internet. 

As you know, the router operates on all three 6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz frequency bands. The 6GHz option gives the best speed and reduced interference, and it also supports Multi-Link Operation (MLO) tech. 

Moreover, the RT-BE96U comes with features like parental controls, traffic monitoring, and security tools, all without a subscription service. It’s a bit aggressive to look at with those eight antennas, but that’s Asus style for routers. 

The downside is that it’s still a large, expensive router. If your home is small or your internet usage is basic, much of what it offers might go unused.

3. TP-Link Archer BE800 and BE900

TP-Link’s Archer BE series takes a slightly different approach. Both the BE800 and BE900 focus on offering a mix of strong wireless performance and flexible wired connectivity.

The BE800 is arguably the more practical of the two. It offers tri-band Wi-Fi 7, dual 10Gbps ports, and multiple 2.5GbE LAN ports. That makes it useful not just as a wireless router, but as the center of a home network where wired connections still matter.

The BE900 pushes speeds higher, at least on spec sheets, but the real-world difference between the two could be limited unless you have a very specific setup. Both routers are large, heavy, and clearly designed to be stationary fixtures rather than something you tuck out of sight.

TP-Link’s software is simpler than ASUS’s, which can be either a benefit or a limitation depending on how much control you want. 

4. TP-Link Archer GE400

However, not everyone wants to spend flagship-level money on a router, especially when Wi-Fi 7 devices are still becoming common. The Archer GE400 exists for that middle ground.

It’s a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router, which means it skips the 6GHz band you’d get with tri-band models. And while that limits total capacity, it’s good for apartments or smaller homes. You still get Wi-Fi 7 features like MLO, along with 2.5GbE ports and generally solid performance.

The Archer GE400 also features customizable RGB lighting on its exterior. You even get a dedicated Panel that shows network status, router vitals, and controls to accelerate network performance for gamers, and manage RGB lighting.

5. Netgear Orbi 370

Mesh systems are where Wi-Fi 7 pricing becomes harder to justify. However, the Orbi 370 is one of the few mesh networks that brings costs down to something closer to mainstream territory.

It’s not the fastest Wi-Fi 7 mesh system available in the market. But what Netgear focuses on is to provide reliable coverage across larger homes with support for modern features like MLO and 2.5GbE ports. The Netgear Orbi 370 comes in a three-pack station, enough to tackle dead zones on at least two floors. 

Orbi’s trade-off, however, is peak performance. It doesn’t support the 6GHz band, which means it’s also a dual-band WiFi 7 system.  

Netgear also sells more expensive Orbi systems for people who want fewer compromises. The Orbi 770 and 970 offer better throughput, stronger backhaul options, and more multi-gig port support. 

The Orbi 970, in particular, feels designed for homes with very fast internet connections and a lot of devices. It performs well, but it also costs enough that you need a clear reason to buy it. For many households, the difference between it and a cheaper mesh system won’t be obvious in daily use.

6. Choosing a Wi-Fi 7 Router in 2026

So if you’re still determined to buy a WiFi 7 router, make sure not to just go after speed. A change this big should also bring quality-of-life improvements that actually make a difference.

So if your current router struggles with coverage or device load, upgrading can make sense. If everything already works fine, spending on Wi-Fi 7 might not be a good option unless you absolutely want it.

Indian Oppo Reno 15c Is Quite Different From the Chinese Model

Oppo’s next Reno series for India will include not just the Reno 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Mini. A new leak suggests there’s also a Reno 15c, but it’s not the same phone as the Chinese Reno 15c. 

According to the leak, the Indian Reno 15c features a 6.57-inch FHD LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1400 nits. 

Under the hood, the phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The rear camera reportedly includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, there’s a 50MP ultrawide front camera.

One of the Reno 15C’s standout features is its massive 7000mAh battery. That’s paired with 80-watt fast charging, so the top-up should be quick.

The phone will reportedly come in two color options—Twilight Blue and Afterglow Pink—and has a relatively slim profile at 8.14mm thickness. Weight is listed at 189 grams for one variant and 195 grams for the other.

What’s the difference between Reno 15c China and India

The Oppo Reno 15c in China and India differ in terms of display, processor, camera setup, and battery capacity.

The Chinese version sports a 6.59-inch flat OLED display, while the Indian variant comes with a slightly smaller 6.57-inch FHD LTPS OLED panel. They both have a 120Hz refresh rate, though.

As for the performance, you get a more powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in China paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. 

There’s also a difference in the camera system. The rear system includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide (IMX355), and a 50MP telephoto lens (Samsung JN5). Oppo Reno 15c in India, however, is likely to miss a telephoto.

Last but not least, battery capacity is larger on the Indian Reno 15c at 7000mAh compared to 6500mAh in the China variant. Both support 80W fast charging.

OPPO Pad 5 Spotted on Flipkart with MediaTek Dimensity 7300, 10,050mAh Battery & 33W Fast Charging

OPPO Pad 5 has shown up on Flipkart’s Reno 15 series landing page, just days after appearing on OPPO’s official India website. This suggests the tablet will launch in India alongside the upcoming Reno 15 smartphones.

Flipkart doesn’t have a full product page yet, but the listing reveals several specs. The OPPO Pad 5 will come in Black and Pink colors with a White stylus. It features a 12.1-inch eye-comfort display with 2.8K resolution, AI note-taking features, and a 10,050mAh battery. Earlier listings confirmed the WiFi-only variant will have 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Here’s where it gets confusing. The OPPO Pad 5 coming to India is not the same device that launched in China under the same name. OPPO is rebranding the OPPO Pad Air 5 as the OPPO Pad 5 for the Indian market. This means the Indian version will be a more budget-focused tablet compared to the Chinese flagship model.

The rebranding goes even deeper. The OPPO Pad Air 5 is actually a rebadged OnePlus Pad Go 2, which recently launched in other markets. So Indian buyers are essentially getting the OnePlus Pad Go 2 with OPPO branding.

Based on previous listings and reports, the OPPO Pad 5 for India should have a 12.1-inch LCD panel with up to 900 nits peak brightness, 2.8K resolution, and eye-comfort certifications. It will likely run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with a 10,050mAh battery and 33W wired fast charging support. Stylus support is also confirmed.

Since the tablet appears on both OPPO’s website and the Reno 15 landing page on Flipkart, it will probably launch alongside the Reno 15 series. OPPO should announce pricing and availability details soon.

ASUS unveils ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen 3 gaming monitor with 240Hz refresh rate, QD-OLED panel

Asus has announced an updated version of its high-end gaming monitor, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen 3, adding a few notable refinements to an already familiar formula.

The monitor includes a 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display built around Samsung’s panel technology, a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and support for competitive gaming as well as content creation.

The main change this time comes in the form of a new Black Shield Film. According to Asus, the added layer improves black levels in brighter rooms and cuts down on the purple tint QD-OLED panels can show under strong ambient lighting. The company claims up to a 40 percent improvement in perceived black depth, along with an anti-reflective coating. The surface is also said to be more durable, with higher scratch resistance for day-to-day use.

Connectivity has also been updated. The PG32UCDM Gen 3 now supports DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, joining HDMI 2.1 for next-gen consoles and high-end GPUs. There’s also a USB-C port with 90W power delivery, making it easier to pair the monitor with laptops using a single cable.

Other features carry over from the previous model. These include NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, Dolby Vision support, a built-in KVM switch, and Asus’ OLED Care tools aimed at reducing burn-in over time. The monitor is now certified for VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black, up from HDR 400 on the earlier version.

Pricing and availability haven’t been detailed yet. While the older PG32UCDM is still on sale in some regions, the Gen 3 appears positioned as Asus’ most refined QD-OLED option to date, especially for users gaming in brighter environments.

Oppo Reno 15, 15 Pro, and Pro Mini specifications surface ahead of launch

Oppo is close to unveiling its next Reno lineup in India, but a fresh leak may have spoiled that surprise for the company. Just ahead of the launch, tipster Abhisek Yadav has shared the complete specifications of the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini on X. There’s also a fourth member called the Reno 15C, but we’ve covered that in a separate piece.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. On the camera side, the Reno 15 reportedly includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 3.5x telephoto for portraits.

There’s also a 50MP wide camera on the front. Keeping the lights on is a 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging, all packed into a body that’s under 8mm thick.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro / Pro Mini

The Reno 15 Pro Mini is Oppo’s attempt to deliver flagship-style features in a smaller form factor. It’s said to come with a 6.32-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and slightly higher peak brightness of 1,400 nits.

Instead of Qualcomm, Oppo is reportedly using MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 chipset here. The camera setup is led by a 200MP Samsung HP5 main sensor, accompanied by 50MP ultrawide and 50MP 3.5x telephoto lenses. Despite its smaller size, the phone is said to pack a 6,200mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro

At the top of the lineup sits the Reno 15 Pro. It’s expected to feature a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, once again with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,400 nits of brightness. The chipset and camera hardware remain the same as the Pro Mini.

However, the Pro model adds a larger 6,500mAh battery and introduces 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi unveils fully automated smart home appliance factory in Wuhan

Xiaomi has quietly lifted the lid on its latest manufacturing project — a highly automated smart home appliance factory designed to run with very little human involvement.

The facility was showcased during the launch event for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra on December 25, 2025. According to the company, the factory began operations earlier this year in Wuhan’s East Lake High-tech Development Zone and is already producing large home appliances at scale.

Dubbed the Xiaomi Smart Home Appliance Factory, the site is the company’s third major manufacturing hub, following its smartphone and automotive plants. Xiaomi says the factory brings product design, development, and mass production under one roof, with a heavy focus on automation.

Much of the production process follows what Xiaomi describes as “lights-out” manufacturing. Injection molding and sheet metal workshops are fully automated and operate without lighting, with reported tolerances as tight as ±0.05mm. Materials move through the facility via a 4.2-kilometer aerial conveyor system that connects six separate workshops.

Logistics inside the factory are largely handled by 161 autonomous mobile robots, which move components between stations while avoiding obstacles in real time. Xiaomi claims this setup covers more than 90 percent of internal logistics, helping reduce handling losses and improve throughput. At peak capacity, an air conditioner is said to roll off the line roughly every 6.5 seconds.

Quality checks are also automated. The factory relies on AI-based visual inspection for key components, including circuit boards and mechanical parts, using high-resolution cameras and edge AI models rather than traditional sampling methods.

Construction of the site moved quickly. The project was signed off in August 2024, broke ground in November, and was structurally completed by January 2025, setting a local construction record.

As Xiaomi continues to expand its home appliance business, the new factory highlights the company’s growing push toward advanced, self-managed manufacturing.
