Oppo Find N6 to debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 foldable, X9 Ultra, X9s to follow soon

Oppo is gearing up for an ambitious refresh of its premium smartphone lineup in China. The company is working on a new foldable flagship alongside multiple X-series models, one of which will feature a compact design. A fresh leak from tipster Digital Chat Station offers an early look at what to expect from these upcoming devices.

Oppo Find N6

According to the leak, Oppo will kick off its flagship cycle with the Find N6, a large foldable device positioned to become the first foldable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. The device has already completed internal filing, and its top variant is expected to include satellite communication support.

To recall, the Find N5 was not equipped with the standard version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset but rather a binned variant featuring a 7-core CPU configuration instead of the full 8-core layout. It remains to be seen whether the Find N6 will use the regular 8-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or a new 7-core edition.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra

He also reiterated that Oppo’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5–powered imaging flagship, the Find X9 Ultra, and its compact sibling, the Find X9s, are targeting strong positions in the top segment, with their hardware configurations largely finalized.

The major upgrades for the Find X9 Ultra include a 200-megapixel IMX09E main camera and an IMX09A periscope telephoto unit offering around 3x optical zoom, along with improved long-range zoom capabilities.

As per a previous leak by the same source, the Find X9 Ultra’s rear camera setup will have two 50-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras and an ultra-wide lens apart from the IMX90E primary sensor.

The leak revealed that the other periscope telephoto cameras on the Find X9 Ultra will be backed by the flagship Sony LYT-828 sensor, which also serve as the primary sensor on the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro. The leak also mentioned that the X9 Ultra the device will feature a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.

Oppo Find X9s

The Dimensity 9500 Plus-powered Find X9s is positioned as a compact flagship with meaningful hardware upgrades. It is said to come with a refreshed 6.3-inch display, a substantial battery capacity nearing 7,000mAh, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. This said chipset appears to be an overclocked version of the existing D9500. Development of the Find X9s is reportedly progressing quickly, hinting at an earlier-than-expected release.

Oppo is unlikely to unveil these devices simultaneously. These devices are expected to debut in China within the first quarter through separate launch events.

MediaTek announces Dimensity P1 Ultra with powerful AI and ray-tracing GPU

MediaTek has officially released its latest automotive cockpit processor, the Dimensity Cockpit P1 Ultra. Built on an advanced 4nm manufacturing process, the chip prioritizes high performance, robust AI capabilities, and enhanced in-car entertainment features. MediaTek says the first car models utilizing this chip will be launched soon.

MediaTek Dimensity P1 Ultra Specs

The P1 Ultra comes with a powerful 8-core CPU that delivers up to 175K DMIPS of computing power. For graphics, MediaTek has added a hardware-level ray-tracing GPU that offers up to 1800 GFLOPS of performance.

On the AI side, the P1 Ultra includes a dedicated NPU capable of 23 TOPS, and MediaTek says it can even run edge-side generative AI. Thanks to the Armv9 architecture and built-in AI units, the chip supports 7-billion-parameter large language models directly inside the car.

As a result, you can expect it to handle features like advanced voice assistants, multimodal interactions, on-device image generation (like Stable Diffusion), and even AI-based safety monitoring can run without needing cloud support.

MediaTek has also focused on reducing development time for automakers. The P1 Ultra integrates multiple components, including smart cockpit, connectivity modules, and T-BOX into a single platform.

It supports 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and even includes a built-in modem. For cameras, there’s an HDR ISP with AI noise reduction, AI 3A, and other enhancements. This helps with features such as 360-degree surround view, driving recorders, and cabin monitoring.

For entertainment, the P1 Ultra supports up to six displays at the same time, and thanks to MediaTek’s MiraVision tech, it can handle 4K 60fps video playback and recording. This means cars can offer multi-screen setups for the driver, passengers, and rear-seat entertainment systems, all powered by a single chip.

MediaTek also confirmed that the Dimensity Cockpit P1 Ultra will come in three versions — 5G, 4G, and Wi-Fi models — all featuring an 8-core CPU and 6-core GPU.

Tim Cook expected to stay as Apple CEO through 2026, says Gurman

Tim Cook is not stepping down as Apple CEO anytime soon. Despite a recent report from the Financial Times claiming Cook may exit between January and June 2026, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has called the timeline premature and inaccurate.

Tim Cook
Image: REUTERS

In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman said he would be “shocked” if Cook leaves by mid-2026. He noted that there are currently no internal signs suggesting a leadership transition is about to happen. Cook, who turned 65 this month, remains actively involved in Apple’s product roadmap, including its upcoming AI push.

Gurman confirmed that Apple has been planning for Cook’s eventual departure. John Ternus, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, remains the top internal candidate to succeed Cook. Ternus leads development for iPhone, Mac, and Vision Pro and has taken on more responsibilities in recent months.

The Financial Times report claimed that Apple could announce Cook’s exit plan before WWDC 2026 to ensure a smooth handoff. Gurman disagreed, stating that the story did not come from sources with direct knowledge and was not part of any internal communication strategy. He also dismissed theories that the story was a deliberate leak to test public reaction.

Gurman also said that given Apple’s tremendous success under Cook, he has earned the right to decide his own future. After stepping down, Cook is expected to remain as Chairman of the board, allowing him to influence Apple’s direction for years to come.

Cook has led Apple since 2011, following the death of Steve Jobs. Under his leadership, Apple became the first $3 trillion company and launched major products including the Apple Watch, AirPods, M-series Macs, and Vision Pro.

A new budget flagship smartphone from OnePlus is arriving soon, and it might bring a powerful chipset that is perfect for gaming. Earlier this month, the OnePlus 15R was teased ahead of its global debut. Now, it has been spotted in a new leak, so here’s what you need to know.

OnePlus 15R Rumored to Pack Powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

The Chinese brand’s upcoming OnePlus 15R is expected to be positioned right below the flagship OnePlus 15, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. But ahead of the OnePlus 15R’s official announcement, a tweet from tipster Debayan Roy (Gadgets Data) claims that his sources have confirmed that this model will debut with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

OnePlus 15R/Ace 6T

That’s not all, he further adds that the budget flagship will also arrive with a dual camera setup on the rear, which consists of a 50MP + 50MP setup. These specifications are in line with our previous reports, as the OnePlus 15R is expected to be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powered smartphone to debut in the global market. Furthermore, the OnePlus 15R is also expected to be a rebranded OnePlus Ace 6T model, which is set to launch in the Chinese market soon.

The new Ace 6T smartphone will feature a dual camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main camera, along with a 50MP ultra wide angle lens. To recall, the OnePlus 13R packed a triple camera setup that also included a telephoto shooter. So just like the flagship OnePlus 15, even the budget 15R is seeing a downgrade in some areas. Keep in mind that this is still just speculation at this point, so stick around for more.

Realme GT 7 Pro series starts receiving Realme UI 7.0 stable update, wider rollout to follow

Realme has started rolling out the stable version of Realme UI 7.0 to its GT 7 Pro series in China. The update is now live for the GT 7 Pro and GT 7 Pro Racing, with batches going out gradually. The company confirmed that other models are in the final stages of rollout preparation and will begin receiving the update over the next week. The global rollout is also expected to follow soon for these devices.

Realme UI 7.0 beta update

Realme UI product manager Kangda Leo shared the update schedule on Weibo. The first phase began in November 2025 with the GT 7 Pro lineup, which includes the standard model, Speed Edition, and Aston Martin F1 Limited Edition. Devices such as the Neo 7, Neo 7 Turbo, Neo 7 SE, and GT 5 Pro are also scheduled to receive the update this month.

Realme plans to expand the rollout in December for more devices, including the GT 5 240W, Neo 7x, and Realme 14 Pro. The next phase begins in January 2026, covering the GT 6, GT Neo 6 SE, GT 5, Realme 14 Pro+, Realme 14, and multiple models from the GT Neo 5 and Realme 15 series. The list also includes older phones such as the Realme 13 and Realme 12 lineups, along with several V-series models.

Realme UI 7.0 introduces several new features and system-level upgrades. The update includes AI Writing, Flash Notes, and AI Portrait Fill Light. Devices like the GT 8 Pro, GT 8, GT 7 Pro, and GT 7 Pro Racing will also receive AI Live Scene Conversation in stages.

The update also debuts the new Flowing Light Engine, which Realme says improves overall responsiveness and visual feedback. The system uses a Flow Motion Animation Framework and Seamless Architecture to deliver smoother transitions across system interfaces.

Realme claims significant improvements in app launch speeds, tap response time, and stability under high temperatures or heavy loads. The update adds FlowLight Scheduling Technology, which adjusts performance dynamically at the chip level, and FlowLight Accelerator, which enhances app stability and responsiveness using cross-level code optimization.

Gaming performance improves as well. Realme says major MOBA titles can sustain full-frame performance for up to five hours. The system also reduces power consumption during demanding tasks and ensures better multi-window performance.

Google accused of training AI on Gmail data, company says it’s misleading

Google is battling a fresh wave of privacy backlash as viral posts claim the company is secretly mining Gmail messages to feed its AI models. The alarm bells started ringing after a Malwarebytes blog post alleged Google had altered its policies, prompting fears that users’ emails and attachments were quietly being used to train the Gemini AI system.

Google Office
Image: Sundry Photography – stock.adobe.com

But Google says that is flat-out wrong.

“These reports are misleading. We have not changed anyone’s settings, Gmail Smart Features have existed for many years, and we do not use your Gmail content for training our Gemini AI model,” spokesperson Jenny Thomson told The Verge.

Still, the panic spiraled. Social media lit up with screenshots showing “smart features” like predictive text and calendar integrations enabled by default. Some users even reported these features being re-enabled after they had been disabled, which added fuel to the fire.

The confusion stems from how Gmail’s smart features actually function. Tools like Smart Compose, flight tracking, and auto-sorting rely on local data analysis to personalize your experience, not to train global AI systems. Turning them on means Google uses your Gmail and Workspace content to tailor your experience across its apps, but according to the company, that is entirely separate from Gemini’s training pipeline.

Google insists that personalization and AI model training are two different things. But public trust is fragile. A class-action lawsuit filed earlier this month accuses the company of crossing the line by granting Gemini access to Gmail, Chat, and Meet content, something Google strongly denies.

The controversy comes at a difficult time. Google is promoting Gemini 3, its most powerful AI system so far. As its tools become more embedded in everyday services, users are asking harder questions and checking their privacy settings more carefully.

In related news, Google now lets Pixel 10 users share files directly with iPhones, iPads, and Macs through AirDrop, making transfers nearly instant and removing the need for apps or setup.

The most notable change is inside. Rogbid says the watch now uses a sealed airbag system along with a Murata micro-air pump. According to the company, this setup allows better control while inflating and releasing air during BP measurements, while also managing airflow to help limit leakage.

ECG sensing has also been updated as Rogbid has moved to Texas Instruments’ AFE4950 chip. The company claims it supports synchronized optical and electrical readings. The watch uses conductive glass and side electrodes to complete the ECG circuit, and the company claims this enables millisecond-level signal capture.

The D3 has a 1.56-inch AMOLED panel with a 480×480 resolution, and the watch can perform a short “Mini Health Check” that collects basic measurements like heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, stress level, and blood pressure in about 30 seconds. Like recent Rogbid watches, it works with Android phones running version 8.0 and above, and iPhones on iOS 13 or later.

Outside of health, the features are fairly standard: sleep tracking, sport modes, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC access support in certain regions. Rogbid says the 400mAh battery can last up to 15 days on standby. Buyers can pick silicone or leather straps in several colors.

The Rowatch D3 retails at $139.99 on Rogbid’s official site, and early customers will receive a free pair of earbuds valued at $29.99.

iQOO 15 and Motorola Edge 60 Pro compete for buyers who want premium features without full flagship pricing. iQOO 15 targets power users and gamers, while the Edge 60 Pro appeals to those who value design, balanced performance, and affordability. Comparing them helps buyers choose between raw power and refined everyday practicality in a crowded upper-midrange market.

1. Design and Display

Build and Feel

iQOO 15 takes a performance-centric approach with a bold aesthetic and color-changing rear panel, giving it a tech-forward identity. Its IP68/IP69 rating reinforces durability, especially for users who want peace of mind in unpredictable environments. Motorola Edge 60 Pro, meanwhile, leans into a more refined design language with its eco-leather back and MIL-STD-810H compliance. It feels more premium in the hand, offering a polished finish that appeals to users who value style and comfort. Both phones feel solid, but Motorola’s materials give it an elegance that stands out in daily use.

Display Quality

iQOO 15 features an advanced LTPO AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and extreme peak brightness. Content looks vivid and ultra-smooth, making it ideal for gaming and multimedia. Motorola counters with a sharp P-OLED panel that supports HDR10+ and high brightness, but at a more conventional 120Hz. While both displays are excellent, iQOO’s higher refresh rate and dramatic brightness advantage create a more impactful visual experience.

Verdict

iQOO 15 wins for display performance, while the Motorola Edge 60 Pro offers a more elegant and comfortable overall design.

2. Specifications

Performance

iQOO 15 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a flagship-class processor built for heavy gaming, AI tasks, and demanding multitasking. Its UFS 4.1 storage and advanced GPU put it among the fastest Android smartphones available. Power users will notice the smoother, more responsive feel, especially in graphics-intensive scenarios.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro uses the Dimensity 8350 Extreme, a strong mid-to-upper-tier chipset known for efficiency and consistent performance. It handles daily tasks effortlessly, but under sustained load, it won’t match the raw power of iQOO’s chipset. Still, Motorola’s tuning delivers a surprisingly stable experience with good thermal balance.

Battery and Charging

iQOO 15 packs a large 7000mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging and 40W wireless support. It easily handles long gaming sessions with minimal anxiety about battery drain. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro offers a 6000mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Its efficiency helps it last comfortably through a full day, though the iQOO feels more endurance-focused for power users.

Verdict

iQOO 15 clearly wins on performance and long-lasting power, while the Motorola Edge 60 Pro appeals to efficiency-minded users who want strong performance without extremes.

3. Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

iQOO 15 equips a triple 50MP setup with a standout periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. Its larger sensors, strong stabilization, and advanced image processing make it better suited for dynamic lighting and long-range shots. Colors tend to look more contrast-rich, creating visually striking images that appeal to users who prefer a punchier look.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro features a 50MP main camera, a 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Its unique Pantone-validated color science offers more natural tones, especially for skin. The setup feels consistent and reliable, excelling in everyday photography with a balanced, realistic output.

Selfie Camera

Motorola steals the spotlight here with a 50MP selfie camera capable of sharp detail and strong HDR handling. It’s particularly appealing for users who prioritize social media content. iQOO’s 32MP front camera is solid with high-quality 4K video, but it doesn’t reach Motorola’s clarity in varied lighting.

Verdict

iQOO 15 wins for telephoto reach and dramatic imaging, while the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is stronger in color accuracy and front-camera performance.

4. Pricing

iQOO 15 is priced around $650, positioning it firmly in the upper flagship tier, especially considering its premium chipset, advanced display, and long-lasting battery. It justifies the cost for users who prioritize performance above all else, particularly mobile gamers and power enthusiasts.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro comes in at approximately $500, making it a highly attractive choice for buyers who want strong features without a flagship-level price tag. Its combination of refined design, capable cameras, and efficient performance offers outstanding value.

Comparatively, iQOO 15 offers more raw power, superior display capabilities, and longer battery endurance. These advantages make it feel more future-proof. However, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro’s pricing makes it the better pick for users who value balanced performance, great selfies, and a premium in-hand feel without spending significantly more.

Verdict

If the budget is flexible, iQOO 15 provides a flagship-grade experience worth the extra cost. For value-driven buyers, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro wins decisively.

Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

5. Conclusion

iQOO 15 stands out with its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ultra-bright LTPO display, massive 7000mAh battery, and periscope telephoto camera. These features make it a powerhouse for performance-oriented users who want cutting-edge visuals and long runtime. Its ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and fast charging add to its high-end appeal.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro differentiates itself with Pantone-validated color science, a premium eco-leather design, MIL-STD-810H compliance, and one of the best selfie cameras in its segment. These touches collectively create a more lifestyle-focused device that feels tailored for photography enthusiasts and design-driven buyers.

Verdict

iQOO 15 is the superior pick for users focused on speed, gaming, and endurance. It delivers the kind of top-tier performance that stands above most competitors in its price range. Motorola Edge 60 Pro is the better choice for those who value aesthetics, balanced performance, and strong camera output, especially selfies, without stretching the budget. Both phones excel in different ways, making the choice dependent on whether raw power or refined usability matters more.

POCO Pad M1 quietly shows up on Google Play Console ahead of its November launch

Poco is getting ready for a big launch on November 26, where it will announce the new F8 series alongside two tablets. One of them, the Poco Pad M1, has now surfaced on the Google Play Console database.

Poco Pad M1

The entry shows the tablet under the model number 2509ARPBDG, and an internal codename flute. Interestingly, Xiaomi uses the same model name for the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, hinting that the Poco Pad M1 could be a Pad 2 Pro rebrand.

Poco Pad M1 runs on Snapdragon 7s Gen 4

The database confirms the tablet will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The chip has a prime core clocked at 2.80 GHz, paired with an Adreno 732 GPU running at 900 MHz.

The listed configuration includes 8GB of RAM, and Android 15 appears as the operating system. The listing also notes a display resolution of 1600 x 2560, with a 320 xhdpi density, hinting at a fairly sharp panel.

Poco has already started teasing the device on its website. The promotional material touts the Pad M1 as a large entertainment tablet, featuring a 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The tablet uses a 12000mAh battery.

A previous leak confirms the Pad M1 will come in Graphite Gray and Blue and will support 33W wired charging. Its price in Europe is rumored to be around EUR 349.

The Poco X1, on the other hand, is a slightly more premium model with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC and a 3.2K 144Hz display.

The Google Play Console listing doesn’t spell out everything, but it leaves little doubt about what to expect when the tablet finally steps on stage next week.

1. Design and Display

Build and Feel

Both smartphones present a premium flagship identity, but they do so with different design philosophies. The Vivo X300 Pro leans into a more luxurious, glass-heavy approach supported by an aluminum alloy frame, giving it a refined, high-end aesthetic. Honor Magic 8 Pro opts for durability with Giant Rhino Glass on the front and a reinforced plastic back, delivering a more rugged but still modern look. The IP68/IP69 ratings on both devices ensure strong protection, but Honor’s IP69K rating adds a slight edge for extreme water-jet resistance. Overall, Vivo’s design feels more sophisticated, while Honor prioritizes toughness.

Display Quality

Vivo offers an LTPO AMOLED panel with rich color depth, HDR certifications, and extremely high peak brightness. Honor counters with an LTPO OLED display featuring a remarkably high PWM rate that benefits users sensitive to flicker. Honor’s peak brightness is also impressive, making outdoor visibility excellent. Vivo’s display feels more cinematic, while Honor delivers technical advantages suited for long-term viewing comfort.

Verdict

Honor has the more versatile and eye-comfort-focused display, while Vivo delivers a more polished and visually immersive experience. Design preference depends on whether luxury (Vivo) or durability (Honor) matters more.

2. Specifications

Performance

The Vivo X300 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, a strong and efficient flagship-class chip ideal for performance stability. Its CPU and GPU combination is tuned for consistent thermal behavior, which helps during extended gaming and multitasking. Honor Magic 8 Pro steps ahead with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, bringing higher clock speeds, stronger graphics, and future-ready on-device AI performance. Honor’s overall processing package feels more elite and better suited for demanding workflows or long-term performance gains.

Battery and Charging

Honor has a larger battery capacity globally and supports extremely fast wired and wireless charging, especially in its Chinese variant. Vivo still offers strong endurance with its Si/C battery and meaningful fast charging options, but Honor’s charging configuration is simply more aggressive and versatile. Users who rely on frequent top-ups or heavy screen time will find Honor’s battery system more accommodating.

Verdict

Honor Magic 8 Pro clearly leads in raw performance and charging flexibility, while Vivo maintains dependable stability and efficiency best suited for consistent daily use.

3. Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

Both phones use a similar triple-camera approach with high-resolution primary and periscope telephoto lenses, but their tuning philosophies differ. Vivo’s camera system is heavily influenced by ZEISS optics, giving its images a more natural tone and film-like contrast that appeals to photography-focused users. The 200MP periscope lens offers macro capability, adding creative versatility. Honor’s setup also includes a 200MP periscope module with strong OIS and a wide field of view, tuned for higher clarity and brighter exposures. Its ultrawide lens provides a slightly broader perspective. Honor’s performance feels more computationally advanced, while Vivo feels more artistic.

Selfie Camera

Vivo’s 50MP AF selfie camera focuses on sharpness and detail with natural color accuracy, making it excellent for portrait-style selfies. Honor adds a 3D TOF sensor for secure face authentication and enhanced depth mapping, giving it a more feature-rich front-camera system. Honor’s selfies feel more software-driven, while Vivo leans on optical purity.

Verdict

Vivo appeals more to photography enthusiasts who value color science and ZEISS tuning. Honor excels in versatility, computational strength, and added front-camera features.

4. Pricing

Honor Magic 8 Pro starts around $850, while the Vivo X300 Pro is slightly more affordable at approximately $800. The difference is small, but it positions Vivo as the more value-oriented option for users wanting strong cameras, premium build quality, and reliable performance without stretching the budget. Honor, on the other hand, justifies its higher price through superior processing power, faster charging technologies, and extended software support with up to seven major Android upgrades, an advantage rare in the Android ecosystem. The price gap can feel negligible considering the upgrades Honor delivers, especially for long-term buyers.

Verdict

Vivo offers better value on paper, but Honor provides more longevity and raw performance per dollar. Users deciding based strictly on price will lean toward Vivo, while those prioritizing extended software support and high-end power will find Honor worth the extra cost.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

5. Conclusion

Vivo X300 Pro’s strengths lie in its ZEISS-backed camera system, refined design, dependable performance tuning, and a display that feels cinematic. It caters to users who want consistent quality across photography, build, and daily usability.

Honor Magic 8 Pro pushes harder with next-gen processing, extended software updates, advanced charging speeds, and additional technologies such as a TOF sensor and optional satellite features in certain regions. Its display’s ultra-high PWM dimming also makes it a great choice for users sensitive to eye strain.

Each phone offers a unique identity: Vivo focuses on elegance and optical authenticity, while Honor prioritizes raw power and future-proofing.

Verdict

Choose Vivo X300 Pro if premium design, natural photography output, and a balanced feature set matter most. Pick the Honor Magic 8 Pro for performance-heavy workloads, superior battery charging, and long-term software value. Both are excellent flagships, but their priorities cater to different types of power users.
