Xiaomi product offering cuts across several categories apart from its smartphone and smart home product lineup. The company continues to expand to other areas, launching the MIJIA inkjet printer as well as a portable photo printer recently. The newest addition is a U-Disk thumb drive with an affordable 79 yuan ($11) price tag.
The U-Disk thumb drive is similar to a bunch of them in the market. It has a compact, metal body, with a lanyard attached to the frame to prevent it from slipping off your hand or getting lost accidentally. The lanyard has a soft texture and can be directly hung on the key or bag. Also, after using the U-Disk, you only need to gently pull the lanyard to pull it out safely.
The body is made from Zinc alloy material, coated using the electroplating process. This gives it wear-resistant and rust-resistant properties and also aids in heat dissipation. The UDP integrated packaging technology can effectively prevent damage to the U-disk from external environments such as water splashes and dust. The U-disk also has the characteristics of shockproof, pressure resistance, high-temperature resistance, and several other protection, in order to safeguard your data.
In addition, the storage stick has an appreciable 64GB internal storage. It equally supports USB 3.0 high-speed transmission and has a maximum reading speed of up to 124MB/s. With this speed, it can complete the transmission of a 3GB high-definition movie in less than 30 seconds, thus saving your time.
The OnePlus 7T series launches in a few days. We are excited here at Gizmochina and we are sure our readers are too. OnePlus itself has revealed some details about the phones and it might continue to do that up until the launch on Thursday. Today, Pete Lau shared a photo of the OnePlus 7T’s retail box and it shows OnePlus is literally doing a throwback to the OnePlus One‘s retail box.
The OnePlus 7T will come in a red box according to the image but we want to believe there will be an outer sleeve case, most likely in white with the manufacturer’s name and the phone’s name inscribed.
OnePlus currently uses a two-piece retail box for its phones. The outer half of the box is white while the inner half is red. For the OnePlus 7T, we will be getting a completely red box.
The box is shown to have a text on it that says the OnePlus 7T is “the culmination of all our design and engineering efforts….”.
The OnePlus 7T will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a glass back that hides a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It will also house a 3800mAh battery with a new fast-charge technology called Warp Charge 30T which supplies 6A at 5V (30W). The phone will have a 48MP + 16MP + 12MP triple rear camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. OnePlus will ship it with Android 10 out of the box.
The OnePlus 7T launches on Thursday, September 26 alongside the OnePlus 7T Pro, and the OnePlus TV.
Xiaomi’s big event is all set for tomorrow where we’ll see the concept Mi Mix 5G and the Mi 9 Pro 5G. While the Mix concept is one of the most anticipated flagships in the second half of 2019, the same event will have another product that’s probably awaited by millions of existing Xiaomi users, namely, the MIUI 11.
Earlier today, Redmi’s GM, Lu Weibing confirmed on Weibo that the recently announced Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition will get the MIUI 11 OS. He adds that the phone won’t come with the new OS out of the box, instead, it will receive the OS via an OTA update in the future. In addition to the exclusive edition, the regular variants namely the Redmi K20 Pro and the Redmi K20 will also join the MIUI 11 club soon.
After becoming an independent brand, Redmi went full-on aggressive with its smartphone launches this year. Its most recent announcement, the Redmi K20 Pro premium edition brings top-end features like Snapdragon 855+, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage at an affordable 2699 Yuan ($379) starting price tag. The existing Redmi K20 Pro models are discounted both in China as well as in India. So overall, it’s a really good time to purchase a Redmi smartphone with MIUI 11 incoming very soon.
The new MIUI 11 OS will bring features such as Family Sharing, Earthquake Warning, and Children’s space to millions of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones in the coming months. Most of the smartphones released by Xiaomi over the past couple of years should be updated to the new OS. We’ll learn more about the supported devices and MIUI 11’s release schedule at the launch event tomorrow.
The new devices of Ulefone that we’ve been talking about since the beginning of the month are finally hitting the market. The global presale of big battery rugged phones Ulefone Armor 3W and Armor 3WT begins today at a pretty competitive pricing, considering their specs.
For starters, it should be made clear that both share the same hardware with the Armor 3WT being the walkie-talkie version of Armor 3W. They are both certified by IP68/IP69K protection grade as well as MIL-STD-810G and feature high water, dust, and drop resistance. The two phone models are powered by the powerful Helio P70 AI SoC backed by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, a configuration that offers fast performance, fluid gaming experience, and long battery life. The massive 10300mAh battery allows you to heavily use your phone for at least 4 days on a single charge! Also, with advanced PE+2.0 and 18W fast charging, recharging time is greatly shortened. And they can be used to charge other devices too using the OTG reverse charging function.
1 of 3
When it comes to photography, Armor 3W/3WT don’t come with fancy dual, triple or quad camera configurations but they feature a super reliable 21MP Sony sensor that takes great photos while the dual rear flash and PDAF help you achieve high-quality, vivid, and crisp results. The selfie shooter, on the other hand, sports an 8MP sensor and besides taking beautiful selfies, it can also be used to face unlock your phone. Oh, both support underwater photography too!
The rest of the specs include a 5.7″ all-screen FHD+ display, Android 9 Pie OS, fingerprint unlock, dual front speakers with smart audio, dual-4G/LTE/dual-VoLTE, global frequency bands, NFC with Google Pay, and GPS/Glonass/Beidou navigation systems.

Earlier this year, Samsung revamped the Galaxy A lineup of smartphones and launch a bunch of devices under the same. However, months after the launch, the company has now started upgrading the lineup.
The South Korean giant recently launched the Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s smartphones and now it’s the turn of the Galaxy A20 to get a revamp. Today, Samsung Galaxy A20s has been launched in Thailand and comes with a few upgrades.
It features a 6.4-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with 1560 x 720 pixels screen resolution, which is actually a downgrade compared to the Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy A20. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
Unlike the Galaxy A20, the updated A20s is offered in two variants — 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The camera department also gets an upgrade from dual-camera setup to triple rear cameras.
The device features a 13MP primary camera sensor with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front side, it comes with a 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.
It also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Connectivity options on the device include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.
The smartphone is running Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own One UI on top. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery along with 15W fast charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy A20s is currently offered in four color options — Black, Blue, Green and, Red. The 4GB RAM model is now available for purchase in Thailand for 6,490 Thai Baht (approximately $212). The availability of this new Galaxy A20s in other markets is not yet known.
A few weeks ago, ZMI released a 65W USB-C charger that is not only half the size of Apple’s 61W USB-C Power Adapter but also sells for less than one-third its price. The manufacturer is back with a new product – the ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro (ZMI 10 Pro in China) Power Bank which not only supports 65W output charging but also has a pretty cool trick.
Before we dive into the specs of the ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro power bank, let’s talk about its design.
Personally, this might as well be the most beautiful power bank I have come across in a while. Unlike most power banks that are available in white or black, ZMI’s latest portable battery pack comes in blue with a touch of gold for the power button, manufacturer’s name, and the technical details on the back.
The ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro is not just a beauty but also a beast. It has a battery capacity of 20,000mAh which means it is on the thick side (21 millimeters) and also heavy (440 grams). But with what it offers, you shouldn’t be bothered about its weight.
The power bank has a maximum power output of 65W (USB-C PD) which means it will charge compatible computers that require up to 65W charging. It will also charge other devices like the Nintendo Switch, the iPad Pro, and the Mi 9. But that is not all it has to offer.
The ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro also doubles as a USB Hub which means you can connect it to your PC and plug in other USB devices such as a USB-keyboard, mouse, a thumb drive or portable hard drive to it.
[envira-gallery id=”277941″]
The power bank has two full-sized USB A output ports and a USB Type-C input/output port. With these, you can charge up to three devices at a time. Below are the technical specs for the ports:
Apple 2.4A, QC 2.0/3.0, FCP, AFC | 5V𝌂2.4A 9V𝌂2A 12V𝌂1.5A (18W max).
USB-C and USB-A output (used together)
5V𝌂3A (15W total over 2 USB-A ports), 5-15V𝌂3A 20V𝌂2.25A (45W max via USB-C), 60W max over all ports.
The power bank will charge in 3 hours if you use a 45W USB PD power adapter, 5.5 hours if you use an 18W adapter and a quality charge cable, and 9.3 hours if you use a 10W adapter and quality charge cable. ZMI has a long list of compatible devices it has tested, so we advise you to check that out here.
The ZMI PowerPack 20K Pro will come with a travel pouch, 1 x 18-inch USB-C to USB-C cable with E-Mark, and 1 x 12-inch USB-C to USB-A cable. It is priced at $79.95 on the official ZMI USA website but listed as coming soon.
Leaked information about the new budget flagship from UMIDIGI were circulating on tech media for some time now and today, the UMIDIGI F2 the device was officially announced by the Chinese manufacturer. The successor of the company’s hot-selling UMIDIGI F1 carries a professional-grade 48MP quad rear camera, the same 32MP selfie camera as Huawei’s new premium flagship HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro, a big, 5150mAh battery, and the latest stock Android 10.
Pro-Grade Cameras
A huge improvement over the previous-gen flagship is the cameras. The F2 sports a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth camera. Also, a new night mode is available to capture better images in low light conditions while the ultra-wide mode helps you snap more content in a photo. Lastly, the macro mode is used when shooting something at a very close distance.
As for the selfie shooter, it sports a 32MP sensor -Samsung GD1- the same found in the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. It utilizes pixel binning for brighter and clearer selfies and users can also use AI beautify to enhance their facial features.
Big display without a notch
The next step for the industry is moving from a notch display to a notchless and bezel-less design. The UMIDIGI F2 accomplishes that task by using a hole punch display. The 6.53″ FH+ display comes with a hole in the top left corner that hosts the 32MP front camera. The hole is just 4.5mm wide and it doesn’t distract the user at all.
The best performing UMIDIGI device to date
UMIDIGI makes some very interesting devices and this one is the most powerful they’ve ever made as it sports the Helio P70 SoC backed by 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of fast UFS 2.1 internal storage. The faster UFS 2.1 flash storage was, until recently, only available in the premium flagship smartphones and now UMIDIGI brings it to the budget segment. In addition, the F2 comes with a big, 5150mAh battery with 18W fast charge support.
Eye-catching Design
Nowadays, most phones look almost the same as there are little things you can do to differentiate your products from the competition. UMIDIGI manages to do that with the impressive Phantom Blue and Midnight Black colors and a curved texture on the back cover when the light hits on it. Also, they’ve side-mounted the fingerprint sensor so the back cover looks clean and more consistent. Also, it sports a triple card slot so that you can use 2 SIM cards and Micro-SD card (up to 256GB) at the same time.
Stock Android 10 and more features
Only a handful of devices can brag that they come with the latest Android 10 OS and UMIDIGI F2 is one of them. In addition, it is the first Android 10 smartphone that features a 48MP quad rear camera. Additionally, the F2 is the first UMIDIGI that supports “OK Google” even when the screen is locked so you can activate the Google Assistant anytime. Of course, it supports multi-functional NFC and global network bands as well as dual-4G/LTE.
Pricing, Global Sale date, and Giveaway
The UMIDIGI F2 global sale will start on October 14th on Aliexpress. The company hasn’t revealed the price yet but we expect it to be less than $300 since the F1 sells for around $200. Of course, a launch promotion will be available bringing the price even lower during the presale period. You can add the F2 to cart now at the UMIDIGI Official Store on Aliexpress in case you miss the discounted open sale price on October 14th.
Lastly, in order to improve the user experience, UMIDIGI is -as always- running a big giveaway to recruit 10 trial users for the UMIDIGI F2. You can check out the full specs of F2 and join the giveaway on their official website.

Vivo‘s executive vice president, Hu Baishan was recently interviewed by Phoenix Network Technology. During the interview, the VP confirmed that Vivo will launch 5G products with Samsung chip by the end of the year.
Hu Baishan was apparently referring to upcoming midrange Vivo smartphones packing a 5G Exynos 980 chipset. When Samsung announced the 5G Exynos 980 chipset, it did hint that it has secured a partnership with Vivo to develop 5G products fired up by the SoC. The product was expected to be launched by the end of the year.
The Exynos 980 is an 8nm octa-core processor with 2x high-performance Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6x efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It has a Mali-G76 MP5 GPU which is said to be built for gaming. It supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 and eMMC 5.1 storage. The maximum display resolution supported is WQHD+ and supports 20MP dual cam and 108MP single camera. The chipset also supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS. The Exynos 980 comes integrated with 5G baseband in the SoC but is actually a mid-range chipset.
He also spoke about rumours of a self-developed chip from the company, stating that the company was focusing on bring out products that meet the needs of consumers. However, it is presently planning to establish a team of 300-500 persons to collaborate with partners to define the self-developed chip.
After unveiling the NEX 3 and NEX 3 5G smartphones a week ago, Vivo has applied for a trademark on a number of NEX monikers at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The NEX 3 is currently available only in China, but the trademark application hints at a global launch. While three monikers belong to the NEX series, the remaining names might be assigned to a different lineup.
Vivo NEX Pro, NEX Lite and NEX Neo
The new NEX monikers include the NEX Pro, NEX Lite and the NEX Neo. Vivo applied for the names on Sept.19. There is no word on what the company plans to do with these names at the moment. It might be part of Vivo’s attempt to safeguard the NEX moniker from copyright infringements in the future. There is no mention of the word ‘NEX 3’, so we cannot confirm whether the names are brand-specific. Vivo had previously trademarked the terms NEX V, NEX Z, NEX Y, NEX X and NEX Play.
The remaining trademarked monikers this time are VivoX Pro, VivoX Lite and iQOO Lite.. In June, Vivo had announced the Snapdragon 845 powered iQOO Neo phone as a lighter version of the Vivo iQOO smartphone. Probably, the company may launch the Youth Edition globally as the iQOO Lite. This is a strange turn of events as Vivo currently limits the iQOO brand to China only.
All six trademarks are currently ‘under examination’ and it will be interesting to see what Vivo has in store for its global audience. As for the VivoX Lite and the VivoX Pro, the company does not sell any devices under the VivoX brand. This might be an entirely new lineup, or Vivo might sell smartphones from their present lineup in a brand new package globally under the VivoX moniker.

Xiaomi India will be launching the Redmi 8A smartphone in India on Sept. 25. The entry-level Redmi phone will be also coming to China in the near future as it has been listed on the database of TENAA. Today, Xiaomi’s Global Vice-President and Managing Director for Indian wing, Main Kumar Jain has shared an image of the smartphone to reveal its design. He has also confirmed that the Redmi 8A will be equipped with a USB-C port that will enable fast charging on the device.
Jain claims that the Redmi 8A will probably be the only phone in the price segment to arrive with a USB-C port. The blue colored phone that can be seen in the hands of Jain resembles with the TENAA images of the Redmi M1908C3KE. Jain did not share any other information on the specs of the Redmi 8A.
The TENAA appearance of the phone has revealed that it may arrive in multiple colors like black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple and gray in China. However, the company may not announce all the color variants at the unveil event. The handset measures 156.3 x 75.4 x 9.4mm and it weighs 188 grams.
The Redmi 8A is fitted with a 6.21-inch display with waterdrop notch. The thick chin of the phone carries the Redmi branding. The rear side of the phone that seems to be made out of polycarbonate material features a 12-megapixel main camera. There is no fingerprint scanner on the device which indicates it will only come with face unlock biometric recognition feature. On the front of the Redmi 8A is an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Redmi 8A is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor. TENAA reveals that the phone may come in 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB RAM editions in China. These variants may respectively feature 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of storage. The Android 9 Pie OS will come preloaded on the device. For additional storage, it possesses a microSD card slot. Lastly, the phone will be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery. Xiaomi has done a commendable job to bring support for fast charging on the device. There is no information available on the pricing of the Redmi 8A.
Huawei took the industry by surprise last month when it announced its Android replacement dubbed Harmony OS (stylised as HarmonyOS). Although the company had hinted that it has no plans to launch smartphones running the new OS anytime soon, it did take some steps towards bringing it to smartphones in the near future. One of such steps is the launch of the Ark Compiler that would let Android app developers port their apps to Harmony OS.
There are indications that developers are not too happy with the new OS. Huawei’s so-called ARK Compiler is said to be far from ready. A number of developers in China who are already testing the software described the program as buggy and unfinished. According to Chinese blog Abacus, most of the devs report that it can’t even compile its own demo app properly at the moment. In a forum, one developer writes that “not only can’t the Ark Compiler compile all the standard benchmark samples, but it also can’t even compile its own demo sample!”
Another developer opined that some vital components are apparently missing from the program. The dev noted that while it can compile the assembly language, the software can’t go further than that and can’t create an executable file. In all this, it is difficult to say where the problem emanates from as Huawei has failed to release the source code even though the ARK Compiler was promoted as open source. Some of the developers see the early unveiling of HarmonyOS as a publicity stunt perhaps aimed at jolting the US to the threat inherent in allowing Huawei to get its own viable OS. So, it is safe to say HarmonyOS may not be finding its way into smartphones anytime soon.
OnePlus has scheduled a launch event in India which will be held on the 26th of September. The event will see the unveiling of the long-anticipated OnePlus TV and two new smartphones, the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro. In this article, we will discuss “what to expect from the OnePlus 7T” in regards to design, specs, and price. If you plan to buy one or are interested in the upcoming flagship continue reading.
OnePlus 7T Design
In terms of design, the front fascia of the OnePlus 7T is expected to look similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 7. Accordingly, the front of the device could accommodate a high screen-to-body ratio display with a waterdrop notch up top that houses the selfie camera. However, leaks claim that the company will bump up the size of its display that we will discuss later.
Moving to the rear of the OnePlus 7T, it will have a glass back but the layout and shape of the rear camera module have been drastically altered. The company had previously shared a teaser on Twitter which revealed that the OnePlus 7T will have a circular camera module which is comprised of horizontally aligned triple camera sensors.
The placement of buttons and ports on the upcoming handset is assumed to remain the same as its preceding device. Henceforth, its right side could be occupied by the power button and alert slider while its left side could make room for the dual SIM card slot and volume rockers. The bottom of the smartphone is supposed to be occupied by the USB Type C port, microphone grille, and the bottom-firing stereo loudspeaker while its top could feature the secondary microphone pinhole. Like the OnePlus 7, it is also expected to have a wide loudspeaker grille integrated into the top bezel which could house the earpiece that doubles as one of the stereo speakers.
The OnePlus 7T will come in Glacier Blue and Frosted silver. Both are gradient paint jobs but they actually do look really good. As sat the time of writing we do not know if the old classic black will be available or the much loved bright red.
OnePlus 7T Features
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+
Under the hood, the OnePlus 7T is believed to feature the Snapdragon 855+ SoC which is also found on devices like the Asus ROG Phone 2 and Black Shark 2 Pro. The chipset is manufactured using a 7nm fabrication process which makes it highly power efficient. It consists of an Octa-Core Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU.
As previously mentioned the OnePlus 7T will have triple a rear camera module. While the exact details about the camera setup are yet to be publicised by the company, renowned tipster Ishan Agarwal claims that the device will have the following camera sensors on the rear:
Ultra Wide Angle: 16MP, 17mm, 117 degrees
Wide Angle: 48MP, 26mm, F/1.6
Telephoto (2X Optical Zoom): 12MP, 51mm, F/2.2
A closer look at the camera setup. And here are the exact specs from me: Ultra Wide Angle: 16MP, 17mm, 117 degrees Wide Angle: 48MP, 26mm, F/1.6 Telephoto (2X Optical Zoom): 12MP, 51mm, F/2.2#OnePlus7T#OnePlus7TSeries#OnePluspic.twitter.com/jnjaXFWyQV
Coming to the display of the OnePlus 7T, the smartphone is reported to make room for a 6.55 inch AMOLED display that conceals an in-display fingerprint sensor. Noteworthy, the display panel is confirmed to have an impressive refresh rate of 90Hz which was first seen with the high end OnePlus 7 Pro. We believe this will be one of the best additions to the handset which will make it stand out from the crowd.
Another highlighting feature that the OnePlus 7T is confirmed to have is the support for Warp Charge 30T. As the name suggests, this technology allows the smartphone to be charged with 30W of power. According to a senior official, the technology has been further optimised and it is now up to 23% faster in comparison to the conventional Warp Charge technology which was first announced with the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Speaking of battery, it is reported to have a slightly larger battery with a capacity of 3,800 mAh but the claims are yet to be verified.
For easy reference we have compiled a combined list of leaked and confirmed specs which are as follows:
Screen: 6.55 inch, Super AMOLED, 90 Hz refresh Rate
Security: In-display fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock
Operating System: OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10
Connectivity Options: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, USB Type C
Storage Variants: 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 128 GB
Storage Expansion: N/A
OnePlus 7T Price and Availability
Taking all the upgrades and new features into account, the OnePlus 7T is most likely to have a bumped up price tag. Even though the exact price is yet to be officially announced, it could be priced in the ballpark of Rs 34,000 ($ 480) to Rs 38,000 ($540) for the base variant in India while the prices in other regions may vary.
Going by previous experiences, the OnePlus 7T will be available for purchase via Amazon, OnePlus stores and several other offline retailers.
