Xiaomi Auto is doing pretty well regarding deliveries for their SU7 electric SUV. After exceeding 10,000 units delivered in June, they’re aiming to maintain that momentum throughout July. This is a pretty decent jump from their previous months, with only 8,630 units delivered in May and 7,058 in April.
The company is planning to deliver a total of 100,000 EVs throughout 2024.
This production ramp-up aligns with Xiaomi’s earlier announcement of starting double-shift production in June to guarantee a monthly delivery target of 10,000 units. Their long-term goal for 2024 is ambitious, aiming to deliver a total of 100,000 SU7s, with a stretch target of 120,000 units. While these numbers are not that high, they are still pretty good for the SU7, which is the company’s first foray into EVs – a relatively young market.
To help manage customer wait times, Xiaomi Auto launched a “Lock Order and Wait for User Care” campaign on June 28th. This program offers gifts to users who have been waiting for their SU7 for more than 3 months as compensation of sorts.
Apple‘s Vision Pro AR headset hasn’t quite taken off as expected. However, the company isn’t throwing in the towel just yet. Here’s a breakdown of what’s happening with Vision Pro and what lies ahead, as per Mark Gurman from Bloomberg:
The users will also be able to view personal photos and videos, including panoramas, within the headset
Apple is actively working on integrating its AI technology, known as Apple Intelligence, into the headset’s AR interface (visionOS). This is expected to improve the general user experience for the headset users.
Apple is revamping in-store demos to provide a more comprehensive experience. The new “Go Deeper” option allows potential buyers to test features like office applications and video viewing. Vision Pro users will also be able to view personal videos and photos, including panoramas, within the headset soon. This feature is expected to be further enhanced with the upcoming visionOS 2 update and its “spatialize” option, which can transform 2D photos into 3D experiences.
Rumors point towards Apple focusing on developing a more affordable headset targeted for release by the end of next year. The details are still hazy, with conflicting reports suggesting either lower-resolution displays for a successor to the Vision Pro or a complete shift in focus towards this budget-friendly option.
The biggest challenge seems to be balancing cost with the high-resolution displays currently offered in the Vision Pro. While it’s too early to say the Vision Pro is a dead end, Apple is likely to introduce a more affordable version of the headset. We will find out soon!

The Beon X3 Pet Air Purifier has been listed on Xiaomi Youpin, signaling its crowdfunding campaign. The Beon X3 air purifier for pets comes with several impressive features that will catch the fancy of pet owners. The new pet purifier offers hair removal and deodorization functionality, as well as sterilization and disinfection of the pet’s environment. The Beon air purifier X3 Pet is designed to protect fragile furry pets and their owners.
The pet purifier aims to keep the pet not only fresh but also healthy. It prevents the buildup of harmful pathogenic viruses like herpes and calicivirus, which are common with pets. These viral infections break out rapidly and are highly contagious. They can cause a variety of inflammations including loss of appetite and other health conditions. The new Beon X3 Pet purifier operates powerfully when compared with ordinary disinfection methods. It comes with Beon’s patented super-energy ionization field that can effectively kill various bacteria and viruses in the air. It can also directly block the virus transmission chain and prevent the virus from being transmitted through the air.
Beon’s super-powered ionization field can also capture allergens that may be present in the hair particles of the pet. This enables persons who are ordinarily allergic to the hair of such pets to be protected.
The upgraded pet filter offers strong absorption of floating hair during the shedding season. This prevents hair from littering the house and being found in undesirable places. The primary filter of the gadget has finer and denser mesh spacing. The filter is capable of catching hard or soft floating hair and this is a major highlight of the new Beon X3 Pet purifier.
The Beon X3 Pet is equipped with a deodorizing catalytic filter that helps to remove odor and freshen the air in the house. This is important in maintaining the freshness of the air when there is pet excrement in the house. It can quickly refresh the air within 3 minutes, thus keeping the home continually fresh. The gadget also comes with a special bracket cat plate that a cat can position on to survey its territory. The X3 Pet has a low-noise operation and does not disrupt the quietness of the environment.
Pricing & Availability

A massive fire that destroyed part of a building that housed the Couer D’Alene Police Department’s IT department, the Animal Control unit, and several vehicles, has been blamed on an electric bike battery. The incident happened earlier this month and highlights the ever-present dangers in EV batteries, despite improvements over the years.
There are many stories relating to e-bike battery fires and a common index of the degree of destruction is that they are worse when left unattended. The Couer D’Alene Police Department’s fire in Idaho significantly damaged the building and vehicles parked in the garage. Instructively, the Couer D’Alene Fire Department was a next-door neighbor, they had a tough time battling with the fire before effectively putting it out. It took 30 firefighters to bring the inferno under control.
Remarkably, according to news reports of the incident, there were no casualties or injuries to persons during the blaze. The Police Department however lost several vehicles to the fire including a SWAT car, an incident command trailer, and all its motorcycles and e-bikes. Initially, it was unclear what the cause of the fire was, as an investigation of the incident has commenced. However, after preliminary investigations, the Idaho State Fire Marshals discovered that one of the batteries on an e-bike recently purchased by the Police Department suffered a ‘catastrophic failure’. The bike was being recharged properly. The fire is being ruled as an accident and a complete forensic analysis of the incident is under consideration.
The Couer D’Alene, Idaho incident highlights the risks inherent during the charging of electric bikes, scooters, and other electric mobility vehicles. It underscores the need for caution and close monitoring whenever such vehicles are being recharged.

Solos, a company specializing in smart glasses, has launched the AirGo Vision. These smart glasses boast the distinction of being the first to integrate OpenAI’s latest large language model, GPT-4o.
Solos AirGo Vision Specifications:
The AirGo Vision is equipped with a built-in camera, allowing users to capture their surroundings and leverage GPT-4o’s capabilities to identify objects and answer questions about them. This integration offers hands-free interaction with the world and access to information, similar to the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses.
Solos highlights the AirGo Vision’s compatibility with other prominent AI models such as Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude. This compatibility broadens the potential for functionalities, such as requesting directions, summarizing shopping experiences, or obtaining recipes through voice commands.
The AirGo Vision incorporates LED notification lights within the frame. These lights serve a dual purpose: alerting users to incoming messages and functioning as a flash for taking photos with the built-in camera. Notably, unlike competitor products like Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, the AirGo Vision currently lacks video recording capabilities.
One unique aspect of the AirGo Vision is the detachable camera. Unlike most smart glasses where the camera is embedded within the frame, Solos has opted for a design where the camera is part of the arm. This design choice offers users more flexibility and potentially a more traditional look when desired. Users also have the option to purchase additional frames. Even without the camera, the glasses retain their AI functionalities through audio input.
While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, Solos confirms the AirGo Vision will launch later this year. Pricing details for the glasses with the camera are yet to be revealed. However, the company is offering separate LED-only frames in three styles available for purchase on their website next month, priced at $249.99 each.

The V8 Max utilizes a gasket mount design to reduce noise and vibration. This, along with the included sound-absorbing foam, creates a quieter typing experience. The keyboard also boasts south-facing RGB LED lights, which shine towards the user for better keycap illumination without light bleed-through on the keycaps.
For added functionality, the V8 Max is equipped with a powerful ARM architecture MCU and supports both open-source QMK/VIA software for extensive key remapping and macro programming options.
