The smartphone is expected to be a strong contender in the premium mid-range segment, with a projected starting price of less than Rs 40,000. This positioning makes it an attractive option for those looking for high-end features without a flagship price tag.

The V70 FE will be available in striking shades, including Monsoon Blue and Northern Lights Purple. The Monsoon Blue variant is particularly unique as it features a glow-in-the-dark finish that reveals luminous patterns when the lights go out, while the purple option offers a soft, elegant gradient.

The upcoming Vivo V70 FE is positioned as a mix of eye-catching design and solid mid-range specs. And from what the company has teased so far, the design might be the main talking point.

Vivo V70 FE

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the phone is set to launch in India on April 2, 2026. Vivo has already put up teasers and a microsite, highlighting features like a 200MP main camera with OIS. The device has also debuted in Indonesia recently, so there aren’t too many surprises left around the core specs.

One detail that stands out is the new Monsoon Blue color. On the surface, it looks like a simple matte blue finish. But under certain lighting and in darker conditions, the back panel reveals faint glowing streaks. Vivo is calling this effect “Darkness Glow.” It’s subtle from what we’ve seen so far, not overly flashy, but definitely different. There’s also another option called Northern Lights Purple, which leans more towards a soft gradient look. The phone itself sticks to a flat frame with a vertically aligned camera setup and Vivo’s Aura Light ring flash.

In terms of hardware, the V70 FE is powered by the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chip. It’s not aimed at heavy gaming, but should handle everyday use without much trouble. The display is a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Battery life could be a strong point here, with a large 7,000mAh unit paired with 90W charging.

The camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide, while the front gets a 32MP camera. RAM and storage are expected to go up to 12GB and 512GB respectively.

The starting price is expected to be under Rs 35,000.

Choosing a compact tablet today is no longer just about size; it’s about balancing performance, display quality, and long-term usability. The Huawei MatePad Mini and iPad mini (A17 Pro) both target users who want powerful hardware in a small, portable form, but they take very different approaches. One focuses on modern display tech and fast charging, while the other leans on performance consistency and ecosystem strength. This comparison breaks down which mini tablet actually makes more sense, depending on how you plan to use it.

Please Note: When you buy something using the links in our articles, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

Design and Display

Huawei MatePad MiniiPad mini (A17 Pro)
✔ Ultra-thin and lightweight design
✔ OLED 120Hz display with strong multimedia appeal
✘ Slim build may feel less rigid
✔ Premium aluminum build quality
✔ Accurate and balanced display tuning
✘ LCD panel lacks OLED contrast and 120Hz smoothness

Build Quality

Huawei focuses on portability with a very slim and lightweight body that feels modern and easy to hold for long sessions. The iPad mini feels sturdier and more premium thanks to its aluminum construction. Huawei emphasizes comfort and minimalism, while Apple prioritizes durability and a refined finish.

Display & Multimedia

Huawei clearly targets entertainment users with its OLED panel, smoother 120Hz refresh rate, and stronger contrast. The iPad mini’s Liquid Retina display remains sharp and color accurate but feels more conservative visually. Huawei feels more immersive for media, while Apple delivers a balanced and natural viewing experience.

Verdict

Huawei wins for multimedia and display impact, while iPad mini feels more premium in build and overall tuning.

Performance and Software

Huawei MatePad MiniiPad mini (A17 Pro)
✔ Smooth everyday performance
✔ Higher RAM options help multitasking
✘ App ecosystem less optimized globally
✔ Flagship-level A17 Pro performance
✔ Excellent app optimization and long updates
✘ Less customization flexibility

Processor & UI Smoothness

The iPad mini’s A17 Pro chipset delivers noticeably stronger performance, especially for gaming and heavy workloads. Huawei remains smooth in daily use thanks to high RAM and optimized UI animations, but raw power and long-term efficiency still favor Apple.

Productivity & Multitasking

HarmonyOS offers flexible multitasking tools that feel practical for casual productivity. iPadOS, however, benefits from a stronger tablet app ecosystem and better optimization for creative and professional workflows. Apple feels more polished overall for serious productivity use.

Verdict

iPad mini leads in performance and software maturity, while Huawei offers flexible multitasking and good everyday smoothness.

Stylus, Keyboard & Ecosystem

Apple Pencil integration and ecosystem support remain key strengths for iPad mini. Huawei’s stylus experience is responsive but lacks the same level of third-party optimization and accessory variety. Ecosystem depth plays a big role for long-term users.

Verdict

Huawei wins charging speed and convenience, while iPad mini remains stronger for accessories and ecosystem reliability.

Camera & Media

Huawei MatePad MiniiPad mini (A17 Pro)
✔ Higher resolution cameras
✔ Strong multimedia experience
✘ Video stabilization less refined
✔ Reliable image processing
✔ Center Stage for video calls
✘ Lower camera hardware specs

Rear and Front Camera

Huawei pushes higher camera specs with a 50MP rear and 32MP selfie camera, offering more flexibility for casual photography and calls. The iPad mini uses simpler 12MP sensors but relies on strong processing and practical features like Center Stage for better video calls.

Video & Audio Quality

Both tablets support 4K recording, but Apple offers smoother stabilization and more consistent video output. Huawei’s stereo speakers combined with its OLED display create a stronger entertainment feel. Apple remains balanced, while Huawei feels more media-focused.

Verdict

Huawei wins on camera hardware and media immersion, while iPad mini feels more reliable for video recording and daily communication.

Pricing

Huawei MatePad MiniiPad mini (A17 Pro)
✔ Better specs-per-price value
✔ Premium display at lower cost
✘ Software ecosystem limitations
✔ Strong long-term value and resale
✔ Better software support
✘ Slightly higher starting price

Verdict – Price Comparison

Huawei undercuts the iPad mini slightly while offering stronger hardware on paper, especially in display and charging. The iPad mini costs a bit more but compensates with better performance, longer software support, and stronger ecosystem value.

Conclusion

Huawei MatePad MiniiPad mini (A17 Pro)
✔ OLED 120Hz display
✔ Slim design and fast charging
✘ Ecosystem limitations outside China
✔ Powerful chipset
✔ Best compact tablet ecosystem
✘ Display feels less exciting vs OLED rivals

Huawei stands out with its OLED 120Hz display, ultra-thin design, and fast charging, making it attractive for entertainment-focused users. The iPad mini differentiates itself with stronger performance, polished software, and deeper ecosystem integration, making it more future-proof for productivity and long-term use.

Final Verdict

If you have to choose just one, the iPad mini (A17 Pro) is the better overall pick because it delivers stronger performance, longer software support, and a more polished app ecosystem that will age better over time.

Huawei MatePad Mini is still a great option for display quality and fast charging, but for long-term reliability and balanced everyday use, the iPad mini remains the safer choice.

Samsung feels polished and timeless, while Vivo feels more aggressive and tech-focused, which may appeal more to users who prefer a standout flagship style.

Display Quality

Both phones use LTPO AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates, but their tuning differs. The S26 focuses on balanced colors and natural contrast, making it comfortable for long viewing sessions. The X300 pushes higher brightness and sharper visuals, creating a more vivid and punchy look outdoors. Samsung feels more controlled and realistic, while Vivo delivers a stronger visual impact and a more dramatic display experience.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 feels more refined overall, but Vivo X300 offers a more striking and brighter display experience.

Both are extremely fast in daily use, but Samsung prioritizes smooth consistency while Vivo leans toward raw power and responsiveness. The difference is subtle yet noticeable, depending on usage style.

Battery and Charging

Samsung keeps a smaller battery with 25W wired and wireless charging, focusing on efficiency and long-term reliability. Vivo clearly targets power users with a much larger battery and 90W wired plus 40W wireless charging, making quick top-ups effortless. In practical use, Vivo feels more convenient for heavy users, while Samsung keeps things safe and predictable.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 wins for long-term stability, while Vivo X300 stands out for battery life and charging speed.

Samsung feels safer and more predictable, while Vivo feels more experimental and exciting for photography enthusiasts.

Selfie Camera

The S26’s 12MP autofocus selfie camera focuses on natural output and dependable video quality. Vivo’s 50MP autofocus selfie camera captures more detail and feels better suited for creators or social media users. The difference is noticeable in sharpness and flexibility, especially in bright conditions.

Verdict

Samsung delivers consistency, but Vivo X300 offers more impressive camera hardware and creative flexibility.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 is priced at about $900 / ₹88,000, placing it firmly in premium flagship territory. The Vivo X300 comes at roughly $650 / ₹76,000, making it significantly more affordable while still offering high-end hardware. The price gap makes the comparison interesting because both phones target flagship buyers, but with different priorities.

Is the Price Justified?

Samsung’s price feels justified for buyers who want long software support, ecosystem features, and polished optimization. Vivo’s pricing looks more aggressive, offering stronger hardware specs for less money. The X300 feels like a better value on paper, while the S26 focuses more on experience and long-term reliability.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 suits premium buyers; Vivo X300 delivers stronger hardware value for the price.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

It feels designed for users who value stability and consistency. Vivo X300 focuses on bold hardware choices, including fast charging, a larger battery, and Zeiss-backed imaging, giving it a more performance-driven personality. Both phones are flagship-level but clearly target different user preferences.

Final Verdict

If only one phone has to be chosen, the Samsung Galaxy S26 is the safer overall pick because it offers longer software support, a more refined flagship experience, and better long-term reliability, making it ideal for users planning to keep their phone for years.

The Vivo X300 is the stronger value option with better hardware on paper, faster charging, and more aggressive camera specs for the price.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus and iPhone 17 Pro both target premium users but approach design differently. Samsung focuses on a sleek glass-and-aluminum build with Armor Aluminum 2 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2, giving it a clean, modern flagship identity. Apple counters with Ceramic Shield 2 and a refined aluminum alloy structure that feels denser and premium in hand. Both carry IP68 protection, but Apple’s deeper water resistance rating adds extra reassurance for long-term durability. The Galaxy feels more minimal and futuristic, while the iPhone leans toward a compact, professional aesthetic that many users associate with reliability.

Display Quality

Samsung’s 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel pushes higher resolution and sharpness, delivering ultra-crisp visuals and richer color depth. The iPhone 17 Pro’s LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED excels in brightness and HDR handling, especially with Dolby Vision content and strong outdoor visibility. Samsung’s display feels more immersive for media lovers, while Apple’s calibration tends to look more natural and consistent across apps.

Verdict

For pure screen immersion, the Galaxy S26 Plus has the edge. For color accuracy and balanced viewing, the iPhone 17 Pro feels more polished overall.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The Galaxy S26 Plus uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600, depending on region, both paired with 12GB RAM and UFS 4.X storage, delivering fast multitasking and strong gaming efficiency. The iPhone 17 Pro runs on the A19 Pro chip with tight iOS optimization and a powerful GPU, making animations smoother and heavy apps feel instantly responsive. Android offers flexibility and desktop-like DeX support, while iOS focuses on consistency and long-term app performance. The iPhone often feels faster in real-world responsiveness, but Samsung’s hardware power gives it more raw flexibility for power users.

Battery and Charging

Samsung packs a larger 4900mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging, making it better suited for longer usage days. Apple’s smaller battery is compensated by software efficiency, and MagSafe charging remains convenient, though slower overall. Samsung clearly targets users who want fewer charging breaks, while Apple prioritizes battery stability and predictable endurance.

Verdict

Performance is neck-and-neck, but Samsung wins on battery capacity and charging speed, while Apple feels smoother for long-term ecosystem performance.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The Galaxy S26 Plus uses a 50MP main sensor with a 3x telephoto and ultrawide setup, producing balanced shots with strong HDR and reliable zoom for daily photography. The iPhone 17 Pro takes a more aggressive approach with three 48MP sensors, including a periscope telephoto and LiDAR scanner. Apple’s camera system shines in video features like ProRes, Dolby Vision, and spatial recording, making it appealing for creators. Samsung’s color processing tends to be more vibrant and social-media ready, while Apple focuses on realistic tones and cinematic consistency.

Selfie Camera

Samsung’s 12MP selfie camera delivers natural skin tones and sharp 4K video, while Apple’s upgraded 18MP ultrawide front camera adds more flexibility for group shots and advanced video capture. Apple’s front camera feels more feature-rich, especially for vlog-style recording.

Verdict

For photography versatility and pro-level video, iPhone 17 Pro leads. For punchy everyday photos and simpler results, Galaxy S26 Plus feels more instantly appealing.

Pricing

Both phones start around $1100, but regional pricing shows a clear gap: approximately ₹120,000 for the Galaxy S26 Plus and ₹135,000 for the iPhone 17 Pro. Samsung offers flagship specs, higher display resolution, and faster charging at a slightly lower price, which strengthens its value proposition. Apple’s pricing reflects ecosystem advantages, long software support perception, and advanced video tools. Buyers already invested in Apple services may find the premium justified, while Android users may see Samsung as offering more hardware per rupee.

Is the Price Justified?

The Galaxy feels aggressively priced for what it delivers, especially in display and battery. The iPhone’s higher cost makes sense for users prioritizing camera workflows and iOS integration, but value seekers may hesitate.

Verdict

Samsung wins on value for money; Apple justifies pricing mainly through ecosystem and camera sophistication.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

Galaxy S26 Plus stands out with Samsung DeX, larger battery capacity, sharper display resolution, and fast charging that suits heavy multimedia and productivity users. The iPhone 17 Pro differentiates itself through advanced video recording, spatial media features, satellite safety tools, and deep hardware-software optimization. Samsung feels more feature-packed on paper, while Apple focuses on refinement and consistency that quietly improve daily usage. Choosing between them often comes down to ecosystem preference rather than pure specifications.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 Plus is the better pick for users wanting display quality, battery endurance, and strong value. The iPhone 17 Pro feels more suited to creators and users who prioritize video performance, polished software experience, and long-term ecosystem integration.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

Samsung Galaxy S26 and iPhone 17 both focus on premium glass-and-metal construction, but they deliver different experiences. Samsung leans toward a lighter, sharper-edged feel with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Armor Aluminum 2, while Apple keeps a familiar aluminum frame paired with Ceramic Shield 2. Both carry IP68 protection, yet Apple’s deeper water resistance adds extra reassurance for long-term durability. The Galaxy feels more tech-centric and modern, whereas the iPhone feels polished and minimal, appealing to users who prefer subtle refinement over aggressive styling. The overall handling experience depends more on ecosystem preference than materials alone.

Display Quality

Both phones use advanced LTPO OLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates, making scrolling and animations extremely smooth. The Galaxy S26 emphasizes vivid contrast and punchy HDR performance with high peak brightness, while the iPhone 17 focuses on color accuracy and balanced brightness, backed by Dolby Vision support. Samsung’s display feels more dramatic for media lovers, while Apple’s panel tends to look more natural in daily use. Both are excellent, but the difference lies in tuning rather than raw quality.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 feels more vibrant and futuristic, while the iPhone 17 offers a cleaner, more consistent visual experience. Choice here depends on whether bold visuals or natural color balance matters more.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The Galaxy S26 runs either Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600, depending on region, both designed for flagship-level speed and long-term Android updates. The iPhone 17 uses Apple’s A19 chip, which typically prioritizes efficiency and smooth optimization with iOS. In real usage, both deliver top-tier performance, but the iPhone often feels more consistent in long-term app optimization, while the Galaxy provides stronger multitasking flexibility and desktop-style features like DeX. Samsung’s higher RAM also helps heavy users who keep many apps open simultaneously.

Battery and Charging

Samsung packs a larger battery and supports wired, wireless, and reverse wireless charging, giving more versatility overall. The iPhone 17 compensates with strong efficiency and faster wireless charging via MagSafe/Qi2. Apple’s charging feels polished and reliable, while Samsung’s larger capacity provides more confidence during long usage days. Charging speed differences are noticeable but not dramatic in everyday routines.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 is better suited for power users needing flexibility and endurance, while iPhone 17 focuses on efficiency and stable long-term performance. Both feel flagship-grade but with different philosophies.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

Samsung equips the Galaxy S26 with a versatile triple-camera setup, including a dedicated telephoto lens that adds real optical zoom flexibility. This makes it more adaptable for portraits and distant shots. The iPhone 17 uses a dual-camera system with high-resolution wide and ultrawide sensors, prioritizing consistency and color science over hardware variety. Apple’s processing usually produces natural tones, while Samsung tends to deliver more contrast and vibrant output. For users who enjoy experimenting with framing, Samsung’s extra lens adds creative freedom.

Selfie Camera

Galaxy S26 focuses on sharp and reliable selfies with dual-pixel autofocus and HDR support, delivering clean results in mixed lighting. The iPhone 17 introduces an ultrawide selfie sensor with advanced depth hardware, improving group shots and cinematic video capture. Apple’s front camera generally feels more polished for video creators, while Samsung keeps things simple and consistent for everyday use.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 wins for versatility and zoom options, while iPhone 17 excels in natural video quality and balanced image processing. The better choice depends on shooting style rather than pure specs.

Pricing

Samsung Galaxy S26 starts at roughly $900 / ₹88,000, while the iPhone 17 comes in lower at around $800 / ₹83,000. Samsung’s higher price reflects extra hardware features like the telephoto camera, larger battery, and multitasking-focused software additions. Apple, on the other hand, offers strong ecosystem integration and long-term software consistency at a slightly more accessible entry price. The gap is not huge, but it changes how each device is positioned in the market.

Is the Price Justified?

The Galaxy S26 feels justified for users wanting maximum hardware flexibility and productivity features. The iPhone 17 feels like a safer long-term investment for users prioritizing ecosystem stability and optimized performance. Both offer flagship value, but the definition of value changes depending on whether hardware features or software longevity matter more.

Verdict

Galaxy S26 offers more hardware per dollar, while iPhone 17 delivers stronger ecosystem value at a lower starting price.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

The Galaxy S26 stands out with Samsung DeX, stronger multitasking potential, and a more flexible camera system that suits creators and power users. The iPhone 17 focuses on refined software integration, satellite safety features, advanced Face ID hardware, and a tightly optimized user experience. Samsung feels more experimental and feature-rich, while Apple keeps things simple and reliable. Both devices represent mature flagship strategies rather than dramatic reinventions.

Final Verdict

If only one phone has to be chosen, the iPhone 17 is the safer overall pick thanks to its lower price, smoother optimization, consistent camera performance, and long-term reliability, making it ideal for most users.

Samsung Galaxy S26 is better for those who want more hardware flexibility, a telephoto camera, a larger battery, and advanced multitasking features.

For most people: iPhone 17 feels more balanced and safer long-term.

For tech enthusiasts / power users: Galaxy S26 is arguably the more capable phone.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Galaxy S26 series follows a clear upgrade ladder rather than three completely different designs. The S26 acts as the baseline flagship with premium glass and Armor Aluminum 2, focusing on comfort and everyday practicality. Moving to the S26+, the main change is scale; it feels more immersive without dramatically changing the design philosophy. The S26 Ultra introduces the biggest functional upgrade: Gorilla Armor 2 with anti-reflective coating and built-in stylus support. This shift makes the Ultra less about style and more about productivity and precision input. The upgrade path here is practical, compact usability on S26, a larger media-focused experience on S26+, and professional utility on Ultra.

Display Quality

All three use Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panels with 120Hz refresh rates and high peak brightness, so smoothness and color quality stay consistent. The main upgrade difference is resolution and usability. The S26 sticks with FHD+ for efficiency, while the S26+ and Ultra move to QHD+ for sharper text and better large-screen clarity. The Ultra adds anti-reflective treatment, which noticeably improves outdoor visibility and long viewing sessions.

Verdict

Design upgrades mainly scale from comfort to immersion to productivity, while display upgrades focus on sharper visuals and improved real-world readability as you move up.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

Performance differences are subtle because all models use flagship-level chipsets and the same software support window. The S26 and S26+ share identical performance configurations depending on region, meaning real-world speed is nearly the same between them. The Ultra’s upgrade lies less in raw speed and more in sustained performance and higher memory options, which benefit heavy multitasking, long gaming sessions, and advanced editing workloads. The progression is about workload capacity rather than basic performance gains.

Battery and Charging

Battery upgrades follow a clear usage-based ladder. The S26’s smaller battery targets normal daily use with moderate charging speeds. The S26+ adds capacity and faster wired charging, which better supports heavier media consumption and longer screen time. The Ultra improves further with the fastest wired and wireless charging, reducing downtime for power users. These upgrades mainly affect convenience rather than fundamental endurance differences.

Verdict

Performance upgrades emphasize consistency across the lineup, while battery improvements primarily support heavier usage patterns and faster top-up convenience.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The biggest upgrade differences in the series appear in the camera system. The S26 and S26+ share identical hardware, meaning the move from base to Plus does not change photographic capability. Both focus on reliable flagship photography with 3x zoom and strong video features. The S26 Ultra introduces meaningful hardware upgrades: a 200MP main sensor, dual telephoto setup including a 5x periscope, and a higher-resolution ultrawide. These changes expand shooting flexibility rather than just improving quality, enabling better long-distance zoom, higher-detail crops, and more creative framing options. The upgrade here is clearly aimed at users who push mobile photography further.

Selfie Camera

All three use the same 12MP dual-pixel autofocus selfie camera, so selfie quality and video performance remain consistent across the lineup. This keeps the front-camera experience equal regardless of model choice.

Verdict

Camera upgrades are concentrated entirely on the Ultra, while S26 and S26+ maintain the same reliable flagship camera experience.

Pricing

The pricing structure reflects how upgrades are distributed. The Galaxy S26 starts at about $900 / ₹88,000, establishing the core flagship experience. The S26+ moves to roughly $1100 / ₹1,20,000, where the extra cost mainly pays for a larger, sharper display and bigger battery rather than performance or camera improvements. The S26 Ultra reaches around $1300 / ₹1,40,000, with pricing tied to significant camera upgrades, stylus integration, premium display treatment, and higher memory options.

Is the Price Justified?

The S26+ feels like an upgrade for comfort and endurance rather than capability. The Ultra’s price increase is easier to justify for users who will actively use Zoom flexibility, stylus features, or heavy multitasking. The value depends less on raw specs and more on whether those functional upgrades match daily usage.

Verdict

Pricing directly mirrors upgrade intent: screen and battery improvements in the middle tier, and feature-driven professional upgrades at the top.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

The S26 lineup is structured around progressive upgrades rather than drastic differences. The S26 provides the full flagship foundation. The S26+ upgrades the viewing and battery experience without changing core performance or cameras, making it a lifestyle upgrade for media-heavy users. The S26 Ultra introduces the most functional upgrades,  advanced cameras, an anti-reflective display, stylus integration, and higher-end hardware options, targeting users who treat their phone as a productivity or creative tool. The lineup feels intentionally tiered so buyers can choose upgrades based on usage rather than marketing labels.

Verdict

The differences between S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are less about which is “best” and more about how upgrades align with usage: Galaxy S26 is best suited for users who want a clean flagship experience without extra complexity,  ideal for everyday performance, compact handling, and long-term reliability.

The S26+ fits users who consume more content, game longer, or simply prefer a bigger and sharper screen with stronger battery comfort, making it the most balanced upgrade for mainstream buyers.

The S26 Ultra is clearly built for power users, creators, and multitaskers who will actually use advanced zoom cameras, stylus features, and top-tier hardware.

S26 for simplicity, S26+ for balance, Ultra for maximum capability.

The Vivo V70 Elite and iQOO 15R have entered the Indian market with flagship-level features and competitive pricing. Both devices cater to premium users, but each smartphone targets a different audience. Here’s a detailed comparison of the two devices based on design, display, performance, cameras, and pricing.

Vivo V70 Elite

Design and Build Quality

The Vivo V70 Elite focuses on elegance and comfort. It features a flat-edge design with an aerospace-grade metal frame and ultra-narrow bezels. The phone is designed to fit comfortably in one hand, thanks to its Golden Grip size. It comes in colors like Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black, adding a premium look.

The iQOO 15R takes a performance-oriented approach to design. It uses Schott Shield glass for added durability and comes in two colors: Dark Knight with a matte black finish and Triumph Silver with a patterned back exclusive to India. The iQOO 15R is slightly thicker and heavier than the Vivo V70 Elite, but it maintains a modern and sturdy build.

Both devices have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Vivo V70 Elite appeals to users who prefer a sophisticated design, while the iQOO 15R is better suited for gamers and those looking for a robust build.

Display

The Vivo V70 Elite and iQOO 15R feature 6.59-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels. However, there are differences in refresh rates and display features.

The Vivo V70 Elite comes with a 120Hz flat AMOLED display that offers a peak brightness of 5000 nits. It supports 4320Hz PWM dimming, making it ideal for content consumption with vibrant colors and smooth animations.

The iQOO 15R also features a flat OLED panel, but with a higher 144Hz refresh rate and a 3200Hz touch sampling rate. It also supports 5000 nits peak brightness, DC-like dimming, and offers a faster touch response, making it better for gaming.

Performance and Software

The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It includes a 4200mm² VC cooling system and supports features like 4D game vibration for enhanced gaming.

The iQOO 15R takes performance a step further with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It comes with the Q2 gaming chip and supports up to 144 FPS gaming and features advanced cooling systems, including a 6500mm² VC cooling panel and dual-layer graphite sheets. The iQOO 15R also includes a network enhancement chip for improved connectivity.

Both devices run Android 16 with OriginOS 6. iQOO 15R performs better for gamers and power users, while the Vivo V70 Elite handles multitasking and general use efficiently.

Cameras

The Vivo V70 Elite focuses heavily on photography. It uses Zeiss optics with a 50MP Zeiss night telephoto camera, a 50MP Zeiss OIS main camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom. The phone includes AI-powered features like AI Holi Portrait, making it ideal for low-light and detailed photography.

The iQOO 15R has a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front camera. While the iQOO 15R delivers good picture quality, it does not match the telephoto and low-light capabilities of the Vivo V70 Elite.

For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo V70 Elite is the better choice. The iQOO 15R offers decent cameras but prioritizes performance over photography.

Battery and Charging

The iQOO 15R includes a 7600mAh battery with 100W FlashCharge support. The phone can charge up to 50% in 33 minutes. It uses advanced silicon anode and semi-solid-state battery technology, which improves durability and performance.

The Vivo V70 Elite has a slightly smaller 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. While it offers good battery life, it does not charge as quickly as the iQOO 15R or provide the same level of durability.

The iQOO 15R is the better option for users who need long battery life and fast charging.

Pricing and Value

The Vivo V70 Elite starts at ₹51,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 256GB model costs ₹56,999, and the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at ₹61,999.

The iQOO 15R starts at ₹44,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at ₹47,999, and the 12GB + 512GB model costs ₹52,999.

The iQOO 15R offers better value for money, especially for gamers and performance enthusiasts. The Vivo V70 Elite justifies its price with premium design and superior cameras.

Verdict

The Vivo V70 Elite is the better choice for users who prioritize design, photography, and an immersive display. Its Zeiss optics and sleek build make it ideal for lifestyle users.

The iQOO 15R is the better option for gamers and performance-oriented users. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 144Hz display, and fast charging deliver excellent performance at a competitive price.

Both devices excel in their respective areas, but the iQOO 15R offers better overall value for most users.

The ongoing price cut on the official website significantly improves the value proposition of the Ninkear S13. iQOO is reportedly working on the Z11 series of smartphones. The brand recently unveiled the Z11 Turbo equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. While this phone is likely to remain exclusive to the Chinese market, the brand is said to be working on the iQOO Z11 and Z11x, which are expected to be released in multiple markets. Recently, the iQOO Z11x 5G was spotted on certification platforms such as SIRIM (Malaysia) and NBTC (Thailand). Now, the device has appeared on Geekbench, revealing the chipset that powers it.

iQOO Z11x Geekbench listing

The iQOO Z11x has surfaced with model number I2507 in Geekbench’s database. The listing suggests that the device could be powered by the Dimensity 7400 chip. As usual, the listing does not specify the chip’s name directly, but its CPU configuration and GPU details available via metadata are enough to confirm the inclusion of the D7400.

The iQOO Z11x Geekbench listing further reveals 8GB of RAM and Android 16. The 1057 single-core and 2507 multi-core scores are in line with the usual performance of the D7400 chip.

To recall, the iQOO Z10x came with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It was powered by the Dimensity 7300 chip and was priced at Rs 12,499 for its 6GB+128GB base variant.

While the iQOO Z11x will arrive with a chipset upgrade, it should be noted that the Dimensity 7400 is essentially a minor refresh of the 7300, offering only a small 100MHz (4 percent) boost to its performance cores and roughly 15 percent better AI processing, with almost all other hardware remaining identical.

In India, the iQOO Z10x was sold via Amazon, and its rebranded version, dubbed the Vivo T4x, was sold through Flipkart. Therefore, there is a possibility that the Vivo T5x could also be a rebadged version of the iQOO Z11x. Likely, the Z11x / T5x may debut in March or April across different countries.

A new leak suggests that Vivo could be jumping on the big-battery bandwagon with an upcoming smartphone.

According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo is currently testing a new phone equipped with a 10,000mAh battery.

The device reportedly uses a 4.53V single-cell silicon battery with a rated capacity of 10,000mAh. The typical value, however, is said to range between 11,000mAh and 12,000mAh, plus or minus a small margin.

More and more brands are moving toward 10,000mAh

Battery capacity in smartphones has been steadily increasing over the past few years, especially among Chinese manufacturers.

5,000mAh is now the bare minimum, and devices with 7,000mAh to 8,000mAh batteries have become increasingly common in China. In fact, Honor and Realme have already launched phones with a 10,000mAh cell.

Vivo V70 vs Oppo Reno 15
Vivo V70

Speaking of which, the leak also sparked discussion about competitors. When asked about Xiaomi’s plans for large-battery phones, the tipster said such devices are currently in the planning stages and would include “all the necessary features.” This hints that Xiaomi is also considering similar moves, though nothing has been finalized yet.

In a separate response, the blogger addressed whether this year’s flagship phones from Vivo might reach 9,000mAh. According to DCS, the main flagship line is unlikely to hit that level, but phones from its sub-brand iQOO could feature a 9,000mAh cell.

For now, it’s just a leak. As mentioned above, the Vivo phone with a typical battery capacity of 11,000mAh or even 12,000mAh is still under testing, which means it could take a considerable amount of time to launch — even if the tests go well. We’ll keep you updated.

According to X tipster PassionateGeekz, the V70 FE could debut on February 28, though the date is said to be tentative. An India launch is also reportedly in the works, possibly with a few changes to the specifications.

Vivo V70 FE Specifications

As for what it bears now, the V70 FE headline’s feature is a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). The rear setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, while the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The phone is capable of recording up to 4K, and some of its camera features include AI Travel Portrait, AI Retouch, AI Best Face, and a Film Photo mode.

On the front, the phone reportedly features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and rounded corners. The design will be available in Muse Purple, Ocean Blue, and Titanium Silver.

Under the hood, the V70 FE will run on the Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor built on a 4nm process. Memory configurations include 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB with 256GB, and 8GB with 512GB.

As mentioned earlier, the tentative launch date is February 28th, but it might launch in India on a later date.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Vivo V70 focuses on a more premium construction with an aluminum alloy frame, stronger water resistance, and a cleaner flagship-style finish. It feels more refined thanks to better materials and attention to detail, especially with the Zeiss branding and polished design language. The OnePlus Nord 5 keeps things practical with a glass back and plastic frame, offering durability but slightly less premium appeal. The higher IP rating on the Vivo also adds confidence for long-term use. In everyday handling, the Vivo feels closer to flagship territory, while the Nord 5 prioritizes utility and comfort over luxury.

Display Quality

Both phones use AMOLED panels with smooth refresh rates, but their focus differs. The Vivo V70 emphasizes brightness and HDR impact, delivering punchier highlights and better outdoor visibility. The Nord 5 counters with a faster 144Hz panel, which feels smoother during gaming and fast scrolling. Color output is strong on both, though Vivo’s tuning looks more cinematic while OnePlus leans toward sharper motion clarity.

Verdict

Vivo V70 wins for premium feel and display brightness, while Nord 5 suits users who value ultra-smooth visuals and a practical design approach.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The biggest gap appears in raw performance. The OnePlus Nord 5 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which clearly targets high-end gaming and heavy multitasking. Apps open faster, sustained performance is stronger, and GPU power gives it a noticeable edge for demanding users. The Vivo V70’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is efficient and smooth for daily use, but it sits more in the upper mid-range category. Storage speed also favors Vivo with UFS 4.1, helping loading times feel quick despite lower chipset power. Overall, Nord 5 feels built for performance enthusiasts, while Vivo aims for balanced efficiency.

Battery and Charging

Vivo’s large 6500mAh battery and 90W charging deliver excellent endurance and quick top-ups, making it ideal for heavy daily usage. Nord 5 offers up to 6800mAh in some markets, but charges slower at 80W. Both include bypass charging, which gamers will appreciate.

Verdict

Nord 5 leads in raw speed, but Vivo V70 feels more balanced with better efficiency and faster charging support.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The Vivo V70 clearly positions itself as the camera-focused option. Its triple-camera setup includes a dedicated periscope telephoto lens with optical zoom, giving it real versatility for portraits and distant subjects. Zeiss optics also help with color consistency and image character, producing photos that feel more polished. The Nord 5 keeps things simpler with a dual-camera system focused on reliable everyday shots. While its main sensor performs well in good light, the lack of a telephoto lens limits creative flexibility. Vivo’s setup simply feels more complete for users who enjoy photography beyond casual snapshots.

Selfie Camera

Both devices feature high-resolution 50MP selfie cameras with autofocus, delivering sharp and detailed results. The Nord 5 supports higher frame rate video recording, which may appeal to vloggers, while Vivo’s selfie tuning leans toward natural tones and balanced exposure.

Verdict

Vivo V70 wins decisively for camera versatility and zoom capability, while Nord 5 delivers dependable results but remains more basic overall.

Pricing

Vivo V70 sits around ₹50,000, while the OnePlus Nord 5 is priced near ₹34,000. This creates a clear positioning difference: Vivo targets premium mid-range buyers, whereas Nord 5 focuses on performance-driven value. At its price, the Nord 5 offers flagship-level processing power, making it extremely attractive for gamers and power users. The Vivo V70 justifies its higher cost with better build quality, stronger camera hardware, higher durability rating, and faster charging. The decision depends largely on priorities, performance per rupee versus an all-round premium experience.

Is the Price Justified?

Nord 5 feels like a strong value for performance seekers. Vivo V70, however, feels justified for users who prioritize cameras, display brightness, and premium design touches.

Verdict

Nord 5 wins on pure value, while Vivo V70 justifies its premium through features that feel closer to flagship phones.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

Vivo V70 stands out with Zeiss-tuned cameras, a periscope zoom lens, stronger water resistance, and a bright flagship-style display. It feels designed for users who want a premium all-rounder without stepping into ultra-premium pricing. The OnePlus Nord 5 focuses on performance and fluidity, combining a powerful chipset with a high refresh rate display and competitive pricing. It targets users who care more about speed and smoothness than camera experimentation. Both devices support long-term software updates, making them safe choices for multi-year usage.

Final Verdict

Overall, the OnePlus Nord 5 is the better choice for most users because it delivers significantly stronger performance, a smoother everyday experience, and excellent value at a much lower price, making it the smarter long-term buy.

Vivo V70 remains a better pick only for users who prioritize a more premium feel and versatile camera setup, but for pure balance of price, power, and practicality, the Nord 5 stands out as the overall winner.

Both phones come from the same ecosystem but target very different buyers, with one focusing on a premium experience and the other pushing aggressive performance at a lower price. This comparison breaks down the real differences that actually impact gaming, photography, and long-term usability, helping buyers understand which phone truly fits their priorities.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Vivo V70 Elite focuses on a premium experience with a glass build, aluminum alloy frame, and stronger water resistance ratings, giving it a more flagship-like identity. The overall design feels refined and polished, aimed at users who value aesthetics alongside durability. The iQOO Neo 10 takes a more performance-first approach with a simpler build and practical materials, which helps keep the cost lower while still offering decent protection. The difference in construction clearly reflects the target audience; one prioritizes elegance, while the other leans toward utility and gaming-focused durability.

Display Quality

Both devices use AMOLED panels with vivid colors and HDR support, but their tuning differs. The Vivo V70 Elite emphasizes brightness and cinematic visuals, making media consumption feel richer and more premium. Meanwhile, the iQOO Neo 10 pushes higher refresh rates and advanced PWM dimming, which feels smoother for gaming and scrolling. The display experience on Vivo feels more balanced overall, while iQOO clearly targets speed and responsiveness.

Verdict

Vivo V70 Elite wins for premium display experience and build quality, while iQOO Neo 10 suits users wanting a fast, gaming-oriented screen.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The Vivo V70 Elite runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, delivering flagship-level performance that comfortably handles multitasking, camera processing, and heavy apps. The iQOO Neo 10 steps ahead with the newer Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, giving it stronger raw power and better sustained gaming performance. Everyday users may not notice a massive gap, but gamers and power users will appreciate the extra headroom. The software experience also differs, with Vivo focusing on smoother refinement and iQOO leaning toward aggressive performance tuning.

Battery and Charging

Battery capacity clearly favors the iQOO Neo 10 with a larger cell and faster 120W charging, making it more practical for long gaming sessions and quick top-ups. Vivo’s battery is still large and efficient, with 90W charging providing fast enough speeds for most users. Both include bypass charging, which is a useful feature for reducing heat during heavy use. iQOO feels more future-proof for heavy usage patterns.

Verdict

iQOO Neo 10 wins for raw performance and battery value, while Vivo V70 Elite focuses more on balanced flagship-level optimization.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The Vivo V70 Elite clearly targets photography enthusiasts with a triple-camera setup, including a high-quality periscope telephoto lens and Zeiss optics. This gives it stronger versatility for portraits and zoom shots, producing more flagship-style results. The iQOO Neo 10 keeps things simpler with a dual-camera system that focuses on reliability rather than flexibility. While the main sensor performs well in good lighting, the lack of a dedicated telephoto lens limits creative shooting options. Vivo’s camera system feels more complete and premium in real-world use.

Selfie Camera

Vivo again takes the lead with a higher-resolution autofocus selfie camera and Zeiss tuning, delivering sharper portraits and more detailed video calls. The iQOO Neo 10’s selfie camera is capable but more standard, aimed at casual usage rather than content creation. The difference becomes noticeable when shooting videos or selfies in varied lighting conditions.

Verdict

Vivo V70 Elite wins comfortably for cameras, offering more versatility and a stronger flagship photography experience.

Pricing

Vivo V70 Elite is priced around ₹55,000, placing it in the premium flagship segment where users expect strong design, cameras, and polished software. The iQOO Neo 10 comes in at approximately ₹32,000, making it significantly more affordable while still offering high-end performance hardware. This price gap changes the comparison entirely. Vivo sells a premium experience, while iQOO focuses on delivering maximum specifications per rupee. For buyers prioritizing gaming and speed, the iQOO price feels extremely aggressive and difficult to ignore.

Is the Price Justified?

Vivo’s pricing is justified mainly by its camera hardware, build quality, and overall flagship polish. iQOO, however, offers outstanding value for performance-focused users who do not need advanced camera versatility. One feels like a lifestyle flagship, while the other feels like a performance bargain.

Verdict

iQOO Neo 10 wins on value for money, while Vivo V70 Elite justifies its higher price through premium features.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

Vivo V70 Elite stands out with Zeiss-powered cameras, a premium build, stronger water resistance, and a more photography-focused approach. It targets users who want a balanced flagship experience that feels refined in everyday use. The iQOO Neo 10 focuses on pure performance, offering a newer chipset, faster charging, and a large battery that makes it ideal for gaming and heavy multitasking. Both phones include modern extras like stereo speakers, bypass charging, and AMOLED displays, but their priorities are clearly different.

Final Verdict

Overall, the iQOO Neo 10 is the better choice for most users because it offers stronger performance, a larger battery, faster charging, and significantly better value for money at a much lower price. It feels like a smarter all-around purchase for gaming, heavy usage, and long-term performance. The Vivo V70 Elite still stands out with its premium build and superior camera system, making it a better option only for users who prioritize photography and flagship styling over raw performance and value.

Choosing between two phones that look almost identical but promise very different experiences can be surprisingly tricky, and that’s exactly the case with the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite. On paper, both share the same premium design, display, and camera hardware, yet their real difference lies in performance and positioning. One focuses on balanced value, while the other pushes toward flagship-level power. This comparison matters because the price gap isn’t huge, making it important to know whether the extra money truly changes the everyday experience or just adds numbers on a spec sheet.

Amazon Pre-Sale Discounts (Vivo V70 Series)

Amazon’s pre-sale for the Vivo V70 series is live, with official shipments starting from February 27. The Vivo V70 base variant is priced at ₹50,000, but the pre-sale discounted price brings it down to ₹46,000. The Vivo V70 Elite base variant, originally priced at ₹55,000, is available at a discounted pre-sale price of ₹52,000. Buyers can also combine these price cuts with additional launch offers, including bank discounts, EMI options, exchange bonuses, and other deals listed on the Amazon product page.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

Both Vivo V70 and V70 Elite follow a premium design approach with a glass front, aluminum alloy frame, and either glass or fiber-reinforced back finishes. The overall styling feels modern and refined, giving both phones a flagship-like presence in daily use. Water and dust resistance adds a practical layer of durability, making them feel reliable beyond just looks. Since the design language is shared, the difference here is more about positioning than appearance; the Elite feels like a performance-focused variant rather than a visual upgrade. This similarity can actually be a positive, as buyers don’t have to compromise on aesthetics when choosing the more affordable model.

Display Quality

Both devices use the same AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and very high peak brightness. Colors look vibrant, contrast remains deep, and smooth animations make scrolling and gaming feel premium. Outdoor visibility is excellent, and the display experience feels equally polished on both models. In real-world use, there is virtually no separation between them visually.

Verdict

Design and display are essentially tied. The V70 stands out as the smarter pick here since it delivers the same premium viewing experience without paying extra.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The main difference between these two phones appears under the hood. Vivo V70 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which handles daily apps, multitasking, and moderate gaming smoothly. Vivo V70 Elite steps up to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, offering noticeably stronger performance for demanding games, heavier editing tasks, and longer-term performance stability. The Elite feels faster under pressure, especially when pushing graphics or multitasking heavily. Still, the standard V70 proves that upper mid-range chips now deliver a very polished everyday experience without feeling slow.

Battery and Charging

Both phones pack a large 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, reverse wired charging, and bypass charging. Endurance should comfortably last a full day, even with heavy use, and charging speeds remain equally impressive. The V70 may feel slightly more power-efficient due to its chipset, while the Elite focuses more on raw speed and sustained performance.

Verdict

Performance clearly favors the V70 Elite, but battery experience remains equally strong on both. The choice depends on whether raw power or balanced efficiency is more important.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

Camera hardware is nearly identical across both devices, featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. Image output should be very similar, delivering sharp details, balanced colors, and strong zoom versatility. The V70 Elite adds a color spectrum sensor and slightly improved HDR video processing, which can help with more consistent tones in complex lighting scenes. In everyday photography, however, differences remain subtle rather than dramatic, making both phones strong camera performers in their segment.

Selfie Camera

Each model uses the same 50MP autofocus selfie camera capable of 4K video recording. Selfies are expected to look detailed with natural skin tones, and autofocus helps maintain sharpness in both photos and video calls. Social media creators and casual users alike will find the front camera experience consistent across both models.

Verdict

Camera performance is nearly equal, but the V70 Elite takes a slight lead due to small processing improvements. The V70 still delivers flagship-style results without clear compromises.

Pricing

Vivo V70 is priced at around ₹50,000, while Vivo V70 Elite comes in at approximately ₹55,000. The almost ₹5,000 difference mainly reflects the jump to a more powerful processor and small imaging refinements rather than major hardware changes. For buyers comparing pure features, the pricing gap feels narrow enough to make the decision more about usage style than budget limits.

Is the Price Justified?

The V70 offers stronger value because it delivers the same design, display, battery, and almost identical camera experience at a lower price. The Elite justifies its higher cost for users who want extra performance headroom for gaming or long-term heavy usage. The pricing strategy feels balanced, but the benefits of the Elite are more performance-focused than all-around upgrades.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Verdict

Vivo V70 wins on value for most users, while V70 Elite makes sense for buyers prioritizing performance and future-proofing.

Conclusion

Both smartphones offer premium AMOLED displays, large batteries, fast charging, and Zeiss-tuned camera systems, creating a flagship-like experience regardless of choice. The real separation lies in processing power; the V70 Elite targets users who want stronger gaming performance and longer-term speed consistency, while the V70 focuses on delivering a balanced experience at a more accessible price. This makes the lineup easy to understand, as buyers are essentially choosing between value and extra performance rather than completely different devices.

Verdict

Vivo V70 is the smarter all-round choice thanks to its pricing and balanced specifications. Vivo V70 Elite is the better option for power users who want higher performance ceilings and slightly refined imaging performance without changing the overall experience.

The Vivo V70 and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G are two of the latest smartphones competing in the mid-to-high-end segment in India.

Both devices bring strong specifications, including premium displays, powerful processors, and advanced camera systems, making them direct competitors in this space.

Here’s a detailed comparison to help you decide which phone meets your needs better.

Please Note: When you buy something using the links in our articles, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

Design and Display

The Vivo V70 features a flat-edge design with an aerospace-grade metal frame. Vivo has focused on making the phone ergonomic with its Golden Grip size, which ensures comfortable one-handed use. The phone comes in color options like Passion Red, Lemon Yellow, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black.

The Realme 16 Pro+ uses a unique Urban Wild design with a back panel made of bio-based organic silicone. Realme offers a wheat-grain texture on its Camellia Pink variant, which is exclusive to India. Other options include Master Gold and Master Grey.

The Vivo V70 has a 6.59-inch flat 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5000 nits peak brightness. The Realme 16 Pro+ offers a slightly larger 6.8-inch flat 1.5K OLED display with a faster 144Hz refresh rate. The Realme display reaches up to 6500 nits peak brightness, making it better for outdoor use.

While both displays are HDR10+ certified, Realme’s higher refresh rate and brighter screen give it an edge in this category.

Performance

The Vivo V70 and Realme 16 Pro+ are both powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process. While both devices feature LPDDR5X RAM, the Vivo V70 uses UFS 4.1 storage, offering faster read and write speeds compared to the UFS 3.1 storage in the Realme 16 Pro+.

Both phones feature vapor chamber cooling systems and perform well for gaming and heavy tasks. Vivo includes 4D game vibration with an X-axis linear motor for an immersive gaming experience, while Realme adds AI Gaming Coach features, which provide useful insights and tools for gamers.

The performance is nearly identical, but the V70 takes the lead in this round due to its inclusion of UFS 4.1 storage.

Cameras

The Vivo V70 boasts a Zeiss-engineered triple camera setup. It includes a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

The Realme 16 Pro+ uses a 200MP primary camera featuring a Samsung HP5 sensor. It also includes a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with up to 120x digital zoom, along with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

Realme offers stronger on-paper camera hardware, but Vivo may deliver more consistent real-world results, especially in low-light scenes and color accuracy.

Battery and Charging

The Vivo V70 packs a 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The Realme 16 Pro+ has a larger 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Both phones offer excellent battery life and quick charging speeds.

Software and Others

The Vivo V70 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, while the Realme 16 Pro+ runs Realme UI 7.0. Vivo promises four major OS updates and six years of security patches, whereas Realme offers three major Android OS updates and four years of security patches.

The Vivo V70 is equipped with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which offers faster and more accurate recognition, even with wet or oily fingers. The Realme 16 Pro+ uses an optical fingerprint sensor, which is reliable but not as advanced as Vivo’s ultrasonic solution.

Pricing

The Vivo V70 is priced at ₹45,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs ₹49,999.

The Realme 16 Pro+ initially launched at ₹39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, but a recent price hike has raised the starting price to ₹43,999.

Verdict: Which Should You Buy?

To be honest, both the Vivo V70 and Realme 16 Pro+ are extremely competitive at their respective price points. Both devices offer balanced performance and well-rounded camera setups, making it difficult to choose between them. However, if you ask me, I would pick the Vivo V70 for its strength in camera tuning. While the Realme 16 Pro+ comes with a 200MP sensor, Vivo’s expertise in camera optimization gives it a slight edge, especially in consistency and low-light performance.

When it comes to gaming, both phones are solid performers, but Realme offers a slight advantage with its gaming-focused features, such as AI Gaming Coach. If you’re someone who’s nitpicky about software tools and gaming-specific specs, Realme might be the better option for you.

Ultimately, it all comes down to pricing. If we compare the two in terms of value for money, Realme is the clear winner here, offering many flagship-level features at a more affordable price.

Compact smartphones have been growing in popularity, with more brands launching their own small devices. Initially, most of these new releases were a part of the premium lineup. But now, Oppo and Vivo have just released two phones that are a part of their sub-flagship lineup, targeting users who want near flagship-level features in sleek, easy-to-hold designs without the bulk of larger phones. So in this comparison, we’ll break down the key differences between the Vivo V70 and Oppo Reno 15 to help you decide which deserves your attention this year.

Design & Display

Both the Vivo V70 and Oppo Reno 15 lean into refined aesthetics, opting for minimalist designs with slim bodies and compact form factors. The duo features premium materials like aluminum frames and a glass rear panel. But while the Vivo V70 emphasizes a modern and minimalistic design, the Reno 15 pairs an elegant look with shiny new designs, especially in the Glacier White and Aurora Blue color variants.

Oppo Reno 15 (Global)
Oppo Reno 15

In terms of display specs, both phones deliver similar visual experiences, with sharp resolutions and smooth refresh rates that make everyday interactions fluid and responsive. So you get a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and solid brightness levels.

Performance

Reno15 Aurora Blue
Oppo Reno 15 – Aurora Blue

Just like with the design and display, Oppo and Vivo are basically tied in terms of performance as well. The two phones are equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Although the Vivo V70 maxes out at 256GB for storage, the Reno 15 has a more expensive 512GB variant. Under the hood, a massive 6,500mAh battery pack powers the Vivo V70 and Oppo Reno 15. Vivo has an edge with a faster 90W wired fast charging support. But this is only marginally faster than the 80W charging support on the Reno 15.

Camera

You get a versatile camera system on Oppo and Vivo, although there are a few differences. The main camera on the Reno 15 is a 50MP main shooter, which is coupled with an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter with a 3.5x optical zoom.

Vivo V70 vs Oppo Reno 15
Vivo V70

The primary camera on the Vivo V70 is a 50MP sensor, with a same sensor size as the Reno 15. The tiny 8MP ultra wide angle lens returns here as well. But a big advantage is with the 50MP periscope telephoto shooter that has a 3x optical zoom and a larger sensor size. This should translate to better performance in lowlight scenes.

Furthermore, the tuning from Zeiss should offer another advantage in the shooting experience, thanks to various filters and more. For selfies and video calls, there is a 50MP camera on both devices, but the V70’s front camera gets autofocus support as well.

Software & Ecosystem

Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite

In 2026, Vivo made the switch to OriginOS 6 that made its software experience more refined and modern. It has great customization options, a cleaner look, and various AI powered tools. But ColorOS 16 on the Reno 15 is one of the best Android skins out there. Despite being on the same Android 16 platform, the latter brings a bunch of thoughtful features and a UI that could appeal to fans of iPhones and iOS.

Which One Should You Pick?

Looking at their competitive specs and features on offer, picking between the two devices isn’t so easy. The starting price tag of the Vivo V70 and Oppo Reno 15 is Rs 45,999 for the same 8GB + 256GB base configuration. But there are a few things to consider.

Choose the Vivo V70 if:

  • You prioritise camera performance, especially in varied lighting conditions.
  • You want strong low-light imaging and refined colour output.
  • You prefer a minimalistic design.

Choose the Oppo Reno 15 if:

  • You prefer a slightly cleaner software experience with thoughtful refinements.
  • You enjoy stylish UI flourishes and additional customisation features.
  • You want a more unique design.

So the difference here basically boils down to the design, software, and camera. Meaning, the choice you make, depends on your priorities.

Vivo has launched the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite in India. Both phones focus on camera performance, AI features, and battery life, while the Elite model brings flagship-level hardware with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

Vivo V70 and V70 Elite

ZEISS Camera System with Multi-Focal Portrait

The main highlight is the ZEISS co-engineered camera system. Both devices include a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor with NICE 2.0 Lite processing. It supports up to 10x zoom and is paired with a large 1.3cm sensor for better low-light shots and more detail. The primary camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-700V sensor with optical image stabilization for sharper photos and smoother videos in different lighting conditions. On the front, both phones feature a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.

V70 and V70 Elite

The ZEISS Multi-Focal Portrait system allows users to shoot portraits at different focal lengths. These include 23mm landscape portraits with hexagonal bokeh, 35mm street portraits with triangular bokeh flares, 50mm classic portraits with swirling bokeh, 85mm figure portraits with soft cinematic blur, and 100mm close-up portraits with leaf-like bokeh effects.

Video recording supports 4K at 60fps on both the front and rear cameras with zoom clarity at 1x, 2x, and 3x levels. Vivo also added AI Audio Noise Eraser, which identifies voices, wind, music, and background noise to improve sound quality in recordings.

AI Photography Features

The phones include several AI photography tools designed for everyday use. India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait maintains natural skin tones in color-heavy scenes. AI Magic Weather can change skies with effects like morning glow, clear sky, evening glow, and twilight. AI Floral Blessing adds animated flower petals to portraits. AI Magic Landscape improves travel photos using scene detection and color optimization. AI Creativity Style adds artistic looks such as cyber, oil blend, animation, and fireworks without using third-party apps.

Performance and Gaming Capabilities

Performance is different between the two models. The Vivo V70 Elite runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 built on a 4nm process with a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz and an AnTuTu score of 1.89 million. It supports up to 90fps gaming. The standard V70 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 27 percent faster CPU performance, 30 percent better GPU performance, and 26 percent higher gaming efficiency compared to the previous generation. Both phones use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. A 4200mm² vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain stable performance. Vivo V70 FE Key Specs Leaked

The headline feature here appears to be a 200MP main camera, which is also visible in the leaked teaser image poster shared by PassionateGeekz. This clearly showcases the photography focus of the Vivo V70 FE, which is a step below the brand’s X300 lineup. It is unclear whether it will support Zeiss tuning like some of its predecessors, although this will likely not be the case. Vivo’s next budget phone can be seen with a secondary shooter on the rear, but details on the other camera are still at large.

Under the hood, it might be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC and run on the Android 16 OS based OriginOS 6 custom skin out of the box.

A gigantic battery pack might power this model, which could have a massive 7,000mAh capacity. Fast charging support is a given, and the report hints at 55W charging speeds. Lastly, we also get a look at the Vivo V70 FE in two color options, which include what appears to be Dark Blue and Lavender.

The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are set to launch in India on February 19, and for the first time, the V-series is gunning for a slice of the upper-midrange performance pie. These aren’t just iterative upgrades over the V60 series.

They mark a shift in Vivo’s strategy, bringing flagship-class specs like Snapdragon 8-series chips, a 6,500mAh battery, Zeiss-branded optics, and 90W fast charging, while still staying under the ₹50,000 price ceiling.

Vivo V70 and V70 Elite

Two models

Vivo has divided the lineup into two distinct tiers. The standard Vivo V70 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It targets performance-conscious users in the upper midrange category. In contrast, the Vivo V70 Elite debuts as the first V-series phone powered by a Snapdragon 8-series processor; the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Geekbench scores for the Elite show 1,973 points in single-core and 4,863 points in multi-core tests. The phone includes 12GB of RAM and will ship with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. Vivo has confirmed four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches for the series.

Display and design

Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite

Both phones feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a resolution classified as 1.5K. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 459 PPI pixel density, and 5,000 nits of peak brightness. The front-facing camera is housed in a centered punch-hole cutout.

Vivo claims the phones have the narrowest bezels in their price segment, measuring just 1.25 mm. The design introduces a flat-edge frame and a new square camera module. The V70 will come in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, while the V70 Elite adds Sand Beige and Authentic Black to the mix.

Cameras

Both the V70 and V70 Elite feature a 50MP main camera using the Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization. They also include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with the Sony IMX882 sensor, supporting 3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom. The rear setup is completed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

The front camera is a 50MP unit with a 92° field of view and supports seamless zoom between 0.8x and 2x. ZEISS has co-developed all camera modules.

Vivo also adds a range of AI photography features, including AI Magic Weather, AI Audio Noise Eraser, and AI Petal Shower Portrait. The India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait will be available from February 19 to March 15.

Battery and extras

Vivo V70 Elite

Both devices pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. Vivo includes bypass charging technology to keep temperatures lower during extended gaming and streaming sessions. The phones come with IP68 and IP69 certifications for water and dust resistance.

The V70 Elite includes an X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback in games and system navigation. Both models feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, along with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that works with wet fingers. The frame is made of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy.

The inclusion of this chipset is not a surprise, as Vivo has already confirmed the processor through its official microsite. In fact, the V70 Elite will be the company’s first V-series phone to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chip.

The standard Vivo V70 has also been spotted on Geekbench recently. While Vivo has not officially revealed its chipset, the benchmark listing suggested that it will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, the same chip that also powered the Vivo V60.

upcoming smartphone launches in February 2026

Major smartphone brands are lined up to unveil their exciting smartphones in February 2026. We’ll see many high-end phones, including the Galaxy S26 series, iQOO 15 Ultra, and the Vivo V70 series, launching next month, along with a couple of mid-range phones, such as the Pixel 10a, Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, and a few Galaxy A-series phones. Apple could also unveil the iPhone 17e in the same month.

If you’re planning an upgrade, these upcoming smartphones are worth paying attention to. Please note that some launches are already confirmed, while others have been added to the list based on strong leaks. The launch details for those devices should be announced officially in early February.

Upcoming smartphone launches in February 2026

Galaxy S26 series render

1. Samsung Galaxy S26 series

Launch date: February 25, 2026 (expected)

This is one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of 2026. While the official launch date is still under wraps, strong leaks suggest a February 25 launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

The company will unveil the main trio at the upcoming event: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The remaining models, such as the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE, if planned, may launch later this year.

Based on past leaks, we aren’t expecting significant upgrades to the Galaxy S26 series, but refinements across display, camera hardware, and bigger batteries. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ will reportedly feature the Exynos 2600 in some markets, including India, while the S26 Ultra will only come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. These will be the first phones to run One UI 8.5 software, based on Android 16.

2. iQOO 15 Ultra, 15R

  • Launch date (iQOO 15 Ultra): February 4, 2026 — China
  • Launch date (iQOO 15R): February 24, 2026 — India

iQOO will unveil its top-tier iQOO 15 Ultra in China in the first week of February. The phone is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a large LTPO AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, and three 50MP sensors on the back. It could house a 7,400mAh battery capacity with 100W wireless charging support. Some leaks say the wired charging speed could be up to 200W.

The leaked spec sheet for the iQOO 15 Ultra sounds pretty powerful, so I’m excited to see how it performs in real life. After this launch, we’ll see the brand unveil the iQOO 15R in India, a premium mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This phone could offer an even larger battery at 7,600 mAh with 100W fast charging support.

3. Vivo V70 series

Launch date: Mid-February (expected)

The popular Vivo V-series could gain two new members, as the brand reportedly plans to unveil the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite next month. Both of them will likely be camera-focused, offering two 50MP sensors (primary and telephoto) and an 8MP ultrawide unit.

The regular Vivo V70 is said to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the V70 Elite could come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Leaks say the phones will bring a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging.

4. Google Pixel 10a

Launch date: February 2026 (expected)

We usually have an affordable version of the latest Pixel lineup around February, and this year will be no different. The Pixel 10a could be unveiled in mid-February, with sales expected to begin in early March.

The upcoming Pixel 10a should be powered by the Tensor G4 chip, the same chip that powers other Pixel 10 models. It is said to feature a dual-camera setup on the back, led by a 48MP primary shooter, and a 5,100mAh battery with support for 23W wired charging.

5. Apple iPhone 17e

Launch date: February 2026 (expected)

The iPhone 16e arrived in February last year, and the industry is expecting Apple to follow the same launch timeline for its successor, the iPhone 17e. The smartphone could come with the Apple A19 chip, the same chip powering the iPhone 17. Other rumored specs include a 6.1-inch OLED screen and a single 48MP rear camera.

Galaxy A56

6. Samsung Galaxy A57, Galaxy A37

Launch date: February 2026 (expected)

In addition to the Galaxy S26 flagship series, the company could also unveil two mid-range phones in February: Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37. Both phones are said to be powered by the in-house chips: Exynos 1680 on the Galaxy A57 and Exynos 1480 on the Galaxy A37.

According to recent leaks, the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 will pack 5,000mAh batteries with support for 45W fast charging and a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP primary shooter (with OIS). The phones could come with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 skin out of the box.

Motorola-Edge-70-Fusion-Design-and-Render

7. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion

Launch date: February 2026 (expected)

The Edge 70 was announced in October, and now the brand is gearing up to unveil the second model in the lineup, the Edge 70 Fusion. While the official launch date is under wraps, leaks suggest it could go official in late February.

The Motorola phone could feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, and a 50MP triple rear camera setup. It is said to pack a 7,000mAh battery, the largest on a Motorola phone to date, with support for 68W fast charging.

The Vivo V70 Elite will reportedly become the first-ever V-series smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. According to a report by SmartPrix, the V70 Elite will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

The successor to the Vivo V60 series is arriving soon. But ahead of any official announcement, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite just surfaced in a fresh leak that revealed their expected India launch timeline and some key features. So here are all the details.

Vivo V70, V70 Elite India launch timeline leaks

The latest information arrives from known tipster Yogesh Brar, who shared the details on X (formerly Twitter). In his tweet, he claims that the upcoming Vivo V70 lineup will debut in the Indian market sometime in mid February 2026. Brar adds that the rumors of the January release are baseless. Furthermore, both models will feature Snapdragon chipsets and Zeiss optics for improved photography.

Vivo V60 alternatives
Vivo V60

Based on what we know so far, the base Vivo V70 is expected to pack the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, while the new V70 Elite model could get the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The older Vivo V60 series debuted with Zeiss optics, so it’s no surprise that the successor also continues this collaboration. Both models are also rumored to run on the Android 16 OS based OriginOS 6 custom skin out of the box.

Yogesh Brar claims that a Vivo V70 FE model will join the V70 lineup, but its release will be at a later date. Apart from this, the only other info shared was about “plenty” of upgrades planned for this new lineup. In related news, the Vivo V70 FE recently bagged the Bluetooth SIG certification along with the iQOO 15R and iQOO Z11x 5G. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite was spotted in India’s BIS database.

Vivo’s upcoming V70 lineup has quietly been in the works in the background. The series is expected to include four phones — the Vivo V70, V70 Lite, V70 Elite, and V70E — but not all of them may be headed to India.

A new report from SmartPrix claims Vivo is planning to launch the V70 series in India by mid-February. However, only two models will make the cut: the standard Vivo V70 and the higher-end V70 Elite.

The V70 Lite and V70E, which have shown up in earlier leaks, are likely intended for other markets.

Vivo V60 alternatives
Vivo V60

However, an earlier report suggested that Vivo could launch the V70 phones alongside the Vivo X200T in India. The latter device is expected to arrive in late January, and Vivo has already started teasing it, which makes this earlier timeline feel more grounded.

In other words, the mid-February claim doesn’t quite line up with what we’ve heard before, so it’s best to treat the latest leak with some caution.

What to expect from the Vivo V70

The Vivo V70 is expected to be offered in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Color options are reportedly limited to red and yellow.

The phone is said to feature a 6.517-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, Vivo is expected to include a triple-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.

Pricing is rumored to land around ₹45,000 for the Vivo V70, while the V70 Elite could be closer to ₹50,000.

As for the V70 Elite itself, details are still thin. What we do know is that the phone exists; it recently showed up in BIS certification listings in India. But beyond that, we don’t know how it will differ from the standard V70.

At present, there is no information about the specifications of the iQOO Z11x 5G and Vivo V70 FE. As far as the iQOO 15R is concerned, it could be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which is scheduled to debut on Jan. 15 in China.
