Now, ASUS has just revealed some of the models which will get Android M update in the coming months.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Download-Android-6.0-Marshmallow.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-61542" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Download-Android-6.0-Marshmallow.jpg?x10805" alt="Download-Android-6.0-Marshmallow" width="500" height="250" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Download-Android-6.0-Marshmallow.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Download-Android-6.0-Marshmallow-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>ASUS revealed on its official Zentalk forums that most of the latest models will be upgraded to the new Android 6.0 operating system. The list of models which will be upgraded are as follow:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>PadFoneS (PF500KL)</strong></li>
<li><strong>ZenFone2 (ZE550ML/ZE551ML)</strong></li>
<li><strong>ZenFone2 Deluxe / Special Edition (ZE551ML)</strong></li>
<li><strong>ZenFone2 Laser (ZE500KG/ZE500KL/ZE550KL/ZE600KL/ZE601KL)</strong></li>
<li><strong>ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>As you can see, the recent models are supported for the upgrade. However, the company has decided to leave out older models such as the ZenFone 5 and the first generation versions out of the upgrade. Not surprising given that they are more than a year old.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the company has not revealed when you can expect the Android M update. Considering the company&#8217;s timing of lollipop update this year, we can expect the Android 6 rollout to start only by a few months into 2016.</p>

The Chinese brand showed guts going up against ASUS, unveiling itself in one of the biggest Smartphone markets, India. Both bring to the table some powerful specs and full HD display. <p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-47029" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2.png?x10805" alt="comparison xiaomi mi4i and zenfone 2" width="800" height="487" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2.png 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2-300x183.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2-690x420.png 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2-640x390.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/comparison-xiaomi-mi4i-and-zenfone-2-681x415.png 681w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>First of all, the <b>Mi4i has beaten ASUS</b>, hands down, being the <strong>cheapest full HD LTE enabled flagship</strong>. While being the lighter one of the two flagships, in terms of weight and price, the Mi4i offers no less than the Zenfone in terms of power and speed. Mi4i bears a <strong>Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor</strong> at heart, whereas ASUS shows hardcore loyalty to <strong>Intel Chipset.</strong> Moreover, Xiaomi&#8217;s <strong>3120 mAh battery</strong> is more powerful than <strong>ASUS&#8217;s 3000mAh</strong> while the latter&#8217;s processor is more battery consuming; it is clear who the winner is in this round <a href="http://www.phonearena.com/news/Asian-sophistication-Xiaomi-Mi-4i-vs-Asus-Zenfone-2-vs-Meizu-M1-Note-specs-comparison_id68596">(1)</a>. However, the Zenfone has a better front camera and more storage, with <strong>16GB (non-expandable) on Mi4i</strong> against the<strong> 16GB expandable memory on the Zenfone</strong>.</p>
<p>Currently, the price stands at <strong>$200 for the Mi4i</strong> which is the same price as the ASUS Zenfone 2 (2GB model). However, depending on the RAM and other specs, prices can vary. With hardcore specs like that, it&#8217;s quite a sweet deal don&#8217;t you think?<br />
You can compare every specs of the devices in details from the table below.</p>

The Zenfone 2 lineup has a number of different variants, all priced according to their specifications.</p>
<p>Just yesterday, ASUS unveiled the entire Zenfone 2 lineup in its domestic market, Taiwan. This helped clear some things about the different variants of the device, since all of them are called as the Zenfone 2.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/asus-zenfone-2-launch-china.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-43277" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/asus-zenfone-2-launch-china.jpg?x10805" alt="asus zenfone 2 launch china" width="440" height="769" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/asus-zenfone-2-launch-china.jpg 440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/asus-zenfone-2-launch-china-172x300.jpg 172w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/asus-zenfone-2-launch-china-240x420.jpg 240w" sizes="(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px" /></a></p>
<p>Now, the company has released a new teaser on Weibo which confirms a Chinese launch of its latest flagship lineup on March 24. It is assumed that all the four models that were unveiled in Taiwan would make it to the Chinese market.</p>
<p>There are four different variants of the Zenfone 2 smartphone. At the top is the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML which features a 5.5-inch display, 4GB RAM, 13MP camera, 2.3GHz quad-core Intel processor and 32GB of internal storage. Below that is a slightly toned down version which features 2GB RAM and 1.8GHz quad-core Intel processor. In Taiwan, the top model retails for around $285 and the second model for $220.</p>
<p>There are two other phones in the lineup, namely ZE550ML and ZE500CL. The former model features a 720p 5.5-inch display with the same 1.8GHz processor and 2GB RAM as the earlier mentioned model. But the internal storage is reduced to 16GB. Finally, at the bottom is the ZE500CL which features a smaller 5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM and 1.6GHz Intel processor. The ZE550ML will cost about $190 and the ZE500CL will the the cheapest of the lot costing about $160.</p>
<p>Expect the pricing of the models in China to be similar to the pricing in Taiwan.</p>
<p>The Zenfone 2 clearly looks like one of the best value for money lineup in the market right now. If ASUS manages to price the 4GB RAM model under 1800 Yuan like in Taiwan, we can expect a very good response for the device in China.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
