The company has so far launched a few smartphones and is now gearing up to launch another.</p>
<p>A new Hi Nova series smartphone has appeared in the listing from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealing some key details about the device. The phone is believed to be named Hi Nova 9 SE.</p>
<figure id="attachment_448540" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-448540" style="width: 987px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-448540 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Nova 9 SE" width="987" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE-.jpg 987w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--300x182.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--768x467.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--696x423.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Huawei-Nova-9-SE--691x420.jpg 691w" sizes="(max-width: 987px) 100vw, 987px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-448540" class="wp-caption-text">Huawei Nova 9 SE</figcaption></figure>
<p>It has been revealed that the smartphone features a 6.7-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/lcd">LCD display</a> that offers a screen resolution of 2388 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the phone is said to be powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.2GHz.</p>
<p>While the exact processor has not been revealed, it is likely to be the MediaTek Dimensity 700, which is different from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 680 that&#8217;s powering the Huawei Nova 9 SE smartphone.</p>
<p>The leak also reveals that the device is powered by a 3,900mAh battery and comes with support for 66W fast charging technology. With some differences, we expect the smartphone to be similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-nova-9-se/">Huawei Nova 9 SE</a>.</p>
<p>The Hi Nova 9 SE could come with a quad-camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor. On the front side, there could be a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.</p>
<p>As the smartphone is not produced by Huawei, it is unlikely to come running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/harmonyos">HaarmonyOS</a>. Instead, the phone will be running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android">Android</a> operating system with a custom user inter have from China Post.</p>

<p>China Post Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. has opened a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/weibo">Weibo account</a> in August this year but had not posted anything for a long time. That changed when the account became active earlier this year and teased content like &#8220;Hi, Future, &#8220;Hi, World,&#8221; and &#8220;Hi Dream,&#8221; forming &#8220;Future World Dream,&#8221; whatever that means.</p>
<p>Now, it has been confirmed that the company is all set to launch the Hi Nova 9 series smartphones in the country which is likely to have two models &#8212; Hi Nova 9 and the Hi Nova 9 Pro, made by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a>.</p>
<p>If the leaked images are to be believed, then the upcoming Hi Nova 9 series looks very similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-nova-9">Huawei Nova 9 series phones</a> launched by the Chinese giant. The front panel has a screen with a punch-hole cutout for housing two camera sensors in the top-left corner and the device has a frosted glass cover.</p>
<p>The camera module on the back panel is also similar to what we&#8217;ve seen. Not just the design, but the color of the smartphone in the leaked image is the same as what Huawei is offering for the Nova 9. However, on the back panel, instead of the Huawei branding, it reads &#8220;Hi Nova,&#8221; indicating the phone to be a rebranded model.</p>
<p>While the company has not yet revealed more details related to these upcoming smartphones, we expect them to be similar to the Huawei Nova 9 lineup in terms of specifications and color options. To know more about the phones, including the pricing and availability details, we will have to wait for a few more days for the official launch.</p>

While FedEx claimed it was done in error, the development prompted Huawei to issue a statement that it would re-evaluate its cooperation with the US courier company. The Chinese company has now gone into an alliance with China’s state-owned logistics giant China Post, a move that may not be unconnected with the FedEx issue.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-257475" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-1024x436.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="696" height="296" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-1024x436.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-300x128.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-768x327.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-696x296.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-1068x454.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500-987x420.jpg 987w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/FedEx-M-Size-1-1175x500.jpg 1175w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p>China Post released a statement via a WeChat post that it’s forming a new “comprehensive strategic partnership” with Chinese telecoms giant Huawei. The Chinese courier firm stated that the two parties have signed a cooperation agreement which will see them deepening cooperation in finance, technology innovation, logistics, and talent cultivation. The post also revealed that Huawei&#8217;s co-chairman Eric Xu and China Post chairman Liu Aili were at the agreement signing ceremony held Wednesday. The partnership will see both companies set up a new technology application lab and a joint innovation center. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/huawei-logo-featured.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-236959" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/huawei-logo-featured.png?x10805" alt="huawei-logo-featured" width="720" height="420" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/huawei-logo-featured.png 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/huawei-logo-featured-300x175.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a></p>
<p>This is in no way related to courier services but the timing is obviously a show of unity and this makes it special. Just a few days back, China’s postal regulator hinted that it will launch an investigation into US delivery company FedEx.</p>
