But one of the coolest announcements included laptops this year, which showed off bold designs, experimental form factors, and impressive features. These laptops push the boundaries of portable computing, so here are some of the most unique models that were showcased during the major tech event.

Huawei MateBook Fold Ultimate Design

While foldable laptops aren’t a new concept, they are still not a dime a dozen. But the new MateBook Fold Ultimate Design from Huawei is the latest foldable notebook on the block. It sports a tall 18-inch LTPO OLED display that offers 3.3K resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio, and a compact form that matches a 13-inch laptop when folded. This model is a thin and light notebook, which measures just 7.3mm thick and weighs 1.16 kilograms.

The MateBook Fold Ultimate Design is a premium model with a leather finish. Huawei claims that this laptop has the largest folding hinge, measuring 285mm. It is also one of the first HarmonyOS powered laptops that promise to deliver a seamless ecosystem with other HarmonyOS devices.

Razer Blade 14

Unlike the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design, the Razer Blade 14 has a more conventional design. However, its build is still one of the most notable aspects. Razer’s Blade series is known for offering powerful specs at a compact build, and the 2025 Blade 14 doesn’t disappoint. It measures just 15.7mm at its slimmest point and weighs 1.63 kilograms. This makes it the thinnest 14-inch gaming laptop on the market.

As the name suggests, it sports a 14-inch OLED display with a 2.8K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut. But what really impresses is the fact that it packs an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU under the hood. The CPU also offers up to 50 TOPS of AI performance and can be paired with up to 64GB of RAM. Considering how the RTX 5070 is also one of Nvidia’s latest graphics cards, this is a beast of a machine in such a slim body.

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i (2025)

Lenovo’s Yoga Book 9i is a next gen dual-display laptop that was unveiled at the tech expo. The 2025 edition brings upgrades with taller 14-inch dual OLED screens with a 120Hz variable refresh rate support. Combining this with a 360 degree hinge, wide color coverage, and more, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i (2025) has even been touted as one of the best content creation laptops. It is even powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H that packs enough horsepower and AI capabilities.

MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyo-e Edition & Prestige 16 AI+ Mercedes-AMG Motorsport

During the Computex 2025 event, MSI announced a bunch of new products, with one of the highlights being the MSI Claw A8 gaming handheld. Even the laptop lineup got some notable announcements, but the latest collaborations stood out the most. The first is the Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyo-e Edition that features Hokusai’s “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” on the top lid, which even received the COMPUTEX Best Choice Award for blending classical art with modern computing.

The second collaboration is with a racing brand, which is the Stealth A16 AI+ Mercedes-AMD Motorsport. This carries the iconic Mercedes AMG branding on the top lid with the MSI logo. While the Prestige 13 is a thin and light model, the Stealth 16 is a powerful laptop with up to an RTX 5070 GPU.

Nvidia Unveils Grace Blackwell and NVLink Fusion

Nvidia introduced its Grace Blackwell NVL72 architecture at Computex 2025, positioning it as a new standard for high-performance AI computing. The hybrid architecture combines GPUs and CPUs in a tightly fused package and is capable of running trillion-parameter models, real-time inference, and large-scale scientific workloads.

The company also launched NVLink Fusion, a next-generation interconnect designed to enable high-speed chip-to-chip communication. Nvidia confirmed that companies like MediaTek, Qualcomm, and Marvell will adopt NVLink Fusion for building semi-custom AI compute solutions. Intel Expands AI and GPU Lineup with Arc Pro and Gaudi 3

Intel introduced the Arc Pro B50 and B60 GPUs, designed for AI inference and workstation-grade computing. The B60 GPU includes 24GB of memory, while the B50 version ships with 16GB. Both models support multi-GPU scaling and are optimized for applications in architecture, engineering, and design.

Intel also showcased Project Battlematrix, a workstation-class platform supporting up to eight Arc Pro B60 GPUs and capable of running AI models with up to 150 billion parameters. The platform is based on Intel Xeon processors and targets AI developers and researchers.

TUM Introduces Cloud-Free AI Chip Inspired by the Human Brain

Researchers from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) revealed the AI Pro chip, a neuromorphic processor that does not require cloud connectivity or internet access. The chip performs real-time, on-device inference using a memory-compute integrated architecture. It employs hyperdimensional computing, allowing it to recognize patterns using limited training data.

Professor Hussam Amrouch led the development of the chip, which consumes only 24 microjoules per task, significantly less than conventional AI processors. The AI Pro chip targets specific applications in healthcare, robotics, and autonomous navigation where local processing and data security are essential.

Qualcomm Previews Snapdragon X2 and Teases September Launch

Qualcomm did not launch new chips at Computex but used the stage to confirm the dates for its next major event. The company announced that the annual Snapdragon Summit will take place from September 23 to 25 in Hawaii. Qualcomm is expected to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for smartphones and possibly introduce the Snapdragon X2 Elite for Windows laptops.

CEO Cristiano Amon said Qualcomm plans to expand its presence in the PC market, aiming for more than 100 Snapdragon-powered laptop models by next year. He also highlighted the growth of native Arm-compatible apps, claiming that over 1,400 games now run on Snapdragon devices.

At the recent COMPUTEX 2025 event, Acer has launched the Swift X lineup of laptops, including Acer Swift X 14 AI and the Swift X 14. Both models are built for creators and professionals who need reliable performance, good graphics, and accurate visuals in a lightweight design.

Swift X 14 AI: AMD Ryzen with AI Acceleration

The Swift X 14 AI (model SFX14-61G) runs on up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor with a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that delivers up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. It includes the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU based on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. The laptop supports NVIDIA Studio Drivers, DLSS 4, and NVIDIA NIM Microservices, making it suitable for creative work like video editing, rendering, and AI development.

It features a 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen is Calman-verified, VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certified, and protected by smudge-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass.

It supports up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, with the added option of dual SSD slots. It also has a 1080p IR webcam, dual microphones, DTS:X Ultra audio, and the same port configuration. The battery capacity remains 76 Wh but offers up to 16 hours of video playback. This version supports Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. It weighs 1.58 kg and features the same aluminum build and color as the AMD model.

Shared Features and Build

Acer FreeSense Ring: What makes it special?

The new smart ring is a first from Acer, bringing advanced health tracking technology and AI features. As per the official announcement, the FreeSense Ring packs biometric sensing features that can track users’ heart rate, blood oxygen levels, heart rate variability, and even sleep quality. It also takes all of this information and makes personalized wellness insights and suggestions.

All of this is packed in a lightweight titanium alloy body that measures around 2 to 3 grams. Users can even buy the FreeSense Ring in sizes ranging from 7 to 13. It is also 5ATM rated for water resistance, allowing you to wear it when swimming (not diving). So the new Acer smart ring is clearly competing with the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring.

Acer will release the FreeSense smart ring in two color options, namely Black in a glossy finish and the matte finish Rose Gold. At the moment, the company has yet to announce the pricing and availability details of the new smart ring. But we can expect more details to surface in the upcoming weeks. Acer showed off two new thin and light laptops at COMPUTEX 2025: the Swift Edge 14 AI and the Swift Go AI series. Both use Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200V Series processors and have built-in AI features, targeting users who need good performance, long battery life, and advanced media tools.

Acer Swift Edge 14 AI

The Swift Edge 14 AI (SFE14-51/T) is made to be portable and handle AI tasks well. It weighs just 0.99 kg and has a 14-inch 3K OLED screen (2880 x 1800) with a 16:10 aspect ratio, edge-to-edge glass, full DCI-P3 color, and DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification. It’s the first laptop with Corning Gorilla Matte Pro, which cuts down screen reflections by up to 95% and makes it easier to see outdoors.

This laptop can have up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 288V with integrated Intel Arc graphics and a built-in NPU that delivers up to 48 TOPS for AI tasks. It supports up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The 65Wh battery is rated for up to 21 hours of video playback.

Other features include a fingerprint reader that lights up, a touchpad with an AI activity light, and a soft-touch keyboard with a UV coating to prevent wear. Acer Swift Go AI Series

The Swift Go AI series has two models: a 16-inch (SFG16-74) and a 14-inch (SFG14-75). Both use up to Intel Core Ultra 7 processors with Intel Arc graphics and have a built-in NPU for AI functions. The 16-inch model can have up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, while the 14-inch model goes up to 1 TB. Both can be configured with up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM.

The Swift Go 16 has a 16-inch OLED WUXGA+ screen (2048 x 1280) with a 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, full DCI-P3 color, and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The Swift Go 14 has a 14-inch OLED WUXGA screen (1920 x 1200) with the same color and HDR specs. Both screens are Eyesafe 2.0 certified.

These laptops have a 1080p IR webcam, three microphones, and Acer User Sensing for automatic screen lock and wake. They also have Acer’s Multi-Control Touchpad for media and conferencing shortcuts, and MyKey, which lets you open groups of apps with one click. Audio comes from DTS:X Ultra and dual speakers.

Both models have Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, and a MicroSD card slot. Acer ProCreator PE320QK X

Acer has refreshed its Predator Orion 3000 desktop with new hardware and a redesigned chassis. It now comes with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 265F and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. It’s built for gamers and creators who need strong performance in a smaller form factor.

The Orion 3000 has up to 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz RAM. Storage includes a 2 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD and an optional 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD. It fits into a 28-liter case with mesh panels for airflow and a tempered glass side panel.

Cooling is handled by front and rear 120 mm RGB-lit system fans, which work with a mesh-lined chassis and tempered glass side panels to maintain airflow and reduce heat buildup. The Predator Orion 3000 will be available in EMEA in July 2025, starting at EUR 1,099, and in Australia in Q3 2025, starting at AUD 4,499.

Acer also launched the Predator Triton 14 AI, a lightweight laptop for creators, and the Predator Helios Neo 14 AI, a portable gaming laptop. All three devices use the latest Intel Core Ultra and NVIDIA RTX 50 Series hardware.

Acer has expanded its Helios lineup with the new Predator Helios Neo 14 AI, a portable gaming laptop built for users who need high performance in a compact design. It features a 14.5-inch OLED 2.8K WQXGA+ display with a 0.2 ms response time and full DCI-P3 color coverage, offering sharp visuals for both gaming and creative work.

Under the hood, the Neo 14 AI is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. It supports up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X 7467 MHz RAM and 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, delivering fast load times and smooth multitasking. NVIDIA Advanced Optimus handles GPU switching for better battery life and performance balance.

To keep temperatures in check, Acer uses a mix of 5th Gen AeroBlade fans, liquid metal thermal grease, vector heat pipes, and its Vortex Flow system. This allows the laptop to maintain consistent performance in a slim chassis.

The device includes a metal lid with a customizable RGB logo and a three-zone RGB keyboard, combining clean design with gamer-focused aesthetics. Connectivity options include Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and multiple USB ports.

Acer has unveiled the Predator Triton 14 AI, a compact high-performance laptop aimed at creators, professionals, and gamers who need serious power in a lightweight build. Weighing just 1.6 kg and measuring 17.31 mm thick, this 14.5-inch laptop packs top-tier hardware in a sleek form factor.

Acer Predator Triton 14 AI features

At its core, the Triton 14 AI runs on the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. This setup allows for heavy creative tasks and smooth gaming. It also introduces a first-of-its-kind feature: graphene thermal interface material on the CPU, which delivers 14.5% better heat dissipation compared to standard thermal grease. Dual 6th Gen AeroBlade metal fans and a vapor chamber further improve cooling.

The laptop’s OLED WQXGA+ display (2880 x 1800 resolution) offers 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time. It’s Calman Verified and supports touch input, making it well-suited for video editors, designers, and digital artists. The haptic Gorilla Glass touchpad and bundled stylus, which supports multiple pen protocols and pressure levels, add to the creative flexibility.
