<p>The China version of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ comes with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-8100-max/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dimensity 8100 Max</a> SoC, while the Reno 8 Pro and the Reno 8 come with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Snapdragon 7 Gen 1</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-1300" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dimensity 1300</a> chipsets respectively. Now, ahead of its global launch, the Reno 8 Pro has been spotted on the Geekbench database suggesting that the device will feature an entirely different chipset from the Chinese variant.</p>

<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/20/oppo-reno-8-pro-global-variant-geekbench-dimensity-8100/oppo-reno-8-pro-5g-cph2357-geekbench-gpu/'><img width="566" height="817" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/OPPO-Reno-8-Pro-5G-CPH2357-Geekbench-GPU.webp?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G Global" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/OPPO-Reno-8-Pro-5G-CPH2357-Geekbench-GPU.webp 566w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/OPPO-Reno-8-Pro-5G-CPH2357-Geekbench-GPU-208x300.webp 208w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/OPPO-Reno-8-Pro-5G-CPH2357-Geekbench-GPU-291x420.webp 291w" sizes="(max-width: 566px) 100vw, 566px" /></a>

<p>According to the listing, the Reno 8 Pro global variant has the model number CPH2357. It is powered by a chipset featuring an octa-core CPU with four cores clocked at 2.00GHz and the remaining four clocked at 2.85GHz. The SoC also brings along the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU making it pretty obvious that it is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (or 8100 Max) chipset.</p>
<p>Other than that, the listing reveals that the device has 12GB of RAM and runs Android 12 out of the box. Coming to the benchmark results, the device scores 898 points in the single-core test and 3555 in the multi-core test of Geekbench 5.</p>
<p>An earlier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/24/oppo-reno-8-pro-india-variants-variants-color-options-tipped-could-be-rebranded-phone/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from tipster PassionateGeekz has revealed that the Reno 8 Pro+ will not be launching in the Indian market. This could also be the case for the global variant, which is likely why the Reno 8 Pro model has the Dimensity 8100 (Max) chipset instead of the Snapdragon Gen 1 chipset.</p>
<p>Going with the possibility that the Reno 8 Pro+ model will be launched as the Reno 8 Pro global variant, we can expect a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 950 nits of peak brightness. The device will likely combine the Dimensity 8100 Max chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.</p>
<p>For the camera system, the device will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro unit. On the front, the smartphone will have a 2MP Sony IMX709 selfie snapper, and the device will also likely come equipped with the MariSilicon X NPU. Other than that, we can expect the device to come with a 4500mAh battery unit with 80W fast charging.</p>

<p>Now, an OPPO smartphone with a PFZM10 model number has appeared on Geekbench&#8217;s database rocking a premium-midrange MediaTek SoC.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-459538 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/OPPO-PFZM10-Geekbench.png?x10805" alt="" width="689" height="818" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/OPPO-PFZM10-Geekbench.png 689w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/OPPO-PFZM10-Geekbench-253x300.png 253w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/OPPO-PFZM10-Geekbench-354x420.png 354w" sizes="(max-width: 689px) 100vw, 689px" /></p>
<p>According to the listing, the smartphone has an octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.00GHz and the other four clocked at 2.85GHz. Going by these details, this is most likely the Dimensity 8100 or the Dimensity 8100-Max SoC.</p>
<p>Other than that, the listing reveals that the smartphone has 12GB RAM and operates on Android 12. OPPO has yet to debut a smartphone with the Dimensity 8100 SoC. But according to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/10/oppo-reno-8-series-to-come-with-sd-7-gen-1-dimensity-8100-dimensity-1300-socs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">recent rumors</a>, the company will provide this chipset in the upcoming Reno 8 Pro. This leads us to speculate that the PFZM10 model number could belong to the Reno 8 Pro. However, this is still unconfirmed so we suggest our readers take it with a pinch of salt.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-453076 size-full td-animation-stack-type0-2" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render.jpg?x10805" alt="OPPO reno8" width="2039" height="1349" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render.jpg 2039w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-300x198.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-768x508.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-1024x677.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-696x460.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-1068x707.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-635x420.jpg 635w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OPPO-reno8-render-1920x1270.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2039px) 100vw, 2039px" /></p>
<p>Separately, some specifications of the upcoming vanilla Reno 8 have already surfaced online. The device is expected to come with a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC at its core, which will likely be coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.</p>
<p>The device will draw juice from a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support and will operate on Android 12. For optics, the device will carry a 50MP IMX766 primary sensor clubbed together with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP camera. On the front, the device will get a 32MP snapper for video calls and selfies.</p>

So let&#8217;s take a look at what the new device has in store for us.</p>
<h3>Display &amp; Design</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-454847 size-full td-animation-stack-type0-2" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/0bbae507-7dcc-479e-b0fa-48e5b2f04d14.jpg?x10805" alt="OnePlus Ace" width="690" height="388" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/0bbae507-7dcc-479e-b0fa-48e5b2f04d14.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/0bbae507-7dcc-479e-b0fa-48e5b2f04d14-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>Design-wise, the smartphone is quite distinct from the previous OnePlus devices. It features a design <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/04/15/exec-reveals-oneplus-ace-details-live-images-leaked-too/">inspired by straight lines</a> and has a flat-edged frame with rounded corners. The rear panel has a two-tone <span class="red-underline" data-startindex="208" data-endindex="212" data-paragraphid="29">color</span> scheme with vertical lines going all the way down like a waterfall. The camera island of the device also comes with a unique look, occupying the top-left edge of the back panel to house the triple camera and LED flash.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-455985 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-1024x512.jpg?x10805" alt="OnePlus Ace" width="1024" height="512" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02-1920x960.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/004dYw4Bgy1h1hl32swyrj61o00u045p02.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p>To make the device easier and more comfortable to hold, the brand has included a subtle edge arc on the back using “2.5D step processing.” OnePlus has officially revealed that the Ace measures 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams.</p>
<p>On the front, it sports a 6.7-inch OLED display that has an FHD+ resolution and also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and even a 720Hz gaming touch sampling rate as well. It also offers 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The screen has a punch-hole cutout in the top center for the front camera.</p>

We know that it will be a rebadged model of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-ace/">OnePlus Ace </a>which is slated to arrive on April 21 in China. Since it&#8217;s a rebadge, the phone is expected to pack the same chipset as the Ace, however, in the newest development, we learn that the phone may launch with a tweaked chipset in the Indian market.</p>
<p>The OnePlus 10R has been teased by the brand and it is said to launch with <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-8100">MediaTek&#8217;s Dimensity 8100</a> Max chipset. This is different from the non-Max Dimensity 8100 with which the OnePlus Ace would arrive. Currently, it is unclear what the exact difference is between the Max and non-Max variants of the chipset.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-454945 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R.jpg?x10805" alt="OnePlus 10R " width="1200" height="627" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R-768x401.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R-1024x535.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R-1068x558.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/OnePlus-10R-804x420.jpg 804w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>The non-Max Dimensity 8100 is an octa-core chipset with <span class="red-underline" data-startindex="56" data-endindex="57" data-paragraphid="206">4x</span> Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at a peak frequency of 2.75GHz. The chipset also has <span class="red-underline" data-startindex="149" data-endindex="150" data-paragraphid="206">4x</span> Cortex-A55 economy cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It has a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU and a MediaTek 580 APU.</p>
<p>Coming back to the OnePlus 10R, the phone was recently confirmed to arrive with 150W SuperVOOC fast charging support and a 4,500mAh battery. The phone is expected to charge from 0% to 100% in less than 17 minutes.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-454810 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-A.jpg?x10805" alt="Oneplus Ace / Oneplus 10R" width="698" height="465" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-A.jpg 698w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-A-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-A-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Oneplus-Ace-Oneplus-10R-Featured-A-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 698px) 100vw, 698px" /></p>
