<p>Well, a fire incident involving Samsung’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25+</a> has reignited concerns about smartphone safety, echoing uncomfortable memories of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/01/15/samsung-galaxy-note-7-investigation-battery-cause-explosions/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Note 7 saga</a>. This time, the explosion occurred not during charging but during regular use, a troubling development for the company’s latest flagship series.</p>

<h3><strong>Not Charging but Still Caught Fire</strong></h3>

<p>The incident took place in South Korea and was first reported on Samsung’s official community forum by the device owner, who described a terrifying sequence. According to the user, the S25+ suddenly began to overheat while being held, followed by a loud popping sound. The phone was immediately tossed to the floor, and that quick reaction may have prevented a more serious injury. Despite the effort, flames broke out, and the user sustained minor burns on their fingers.</p>

<p>Photos shared on the forum show a severely damaged S25+, with a charred frame and a warped display. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> has since collected the phone and begun an internal investigation, although early findings from the company’s service center cite the cause as “unknown.”</p>

<p>What makes this case more alarming is the absence of charging at the time of the explosion. Typically, such fires are linked to charging malfunctions or third-party cables. This time, the fault may lie deeper, possibly in the battery management system, thermal dissipation, or even abnormal chip heating. Until more information is available, the incident remains an isolated but deeply concerning outlier.</p>

<p>Samsung has reportedly issued a full refund to the affected user. Meanwhile, safety experts and consumers are left wondering whether the Galaxy S25+ or other models in the lineup might be at risk.</p>

<p>For now, if your S25+ starts to run unusually hot or behaves erratically, shut it down immediately and contact Samsung support. This might just be a one-off, but it is a hot one, literally.</p>

<p>Sticking to its promise, Samsung has finally started the rollout of stable One UI 8.0, based on Android 16. This major upgrade brings a host of new features and improvements throughout the software, better AI capabilities, and keeps the device safer and secure.</p>

<p>Let’s see which Galaxy models are getting it, where the update is rolling out, and how you can install this update.</p>

<h2>Galaxy S25 models getting the first bite</h2>

<p>It was already confirmed that the Galaxy S25 will be the first phone to receive stable One UI 8 update when the rollout begins, and now it’s getting the update. The update is currently available for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra users in <strong>South Korea</strong>. It comes with a firmware version <strong>BYI3</strong>, and the download size varies depending on whether you’re a beta tester or not.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Galaxy-S25-stable-One-UI-8-update.webp?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Galaxy-S25-stable-One-UI-8-update.webp?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 stable One UI 8 update" class="wp-image-706764" width="234" height="585" /><figcaption>Image via Tarun Vats/<a href="https://x.com/tarunvats33/status/1967473787173318678" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">X</a></figcaption></figure></div></a></div>

<p>Those already running One UI 8 beta on their Galaxy S25 are receiving a smaller update that weighs around 550MB. That’s because major changes have already been installed into beta devices via beta builds. The latest update changes the beta state to stable and brings minor improvements. For other users, the update weighs around 3.9GB.</p>

<p>The stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series is currently rolling out in South Korea, but it shouldn&#8217;t be long before users in other regions also start getting the update. You can head over to <strong>Settings &gt; Software updates</strong> and tap on <strong>Download and install</strong> to see if it&#8217;s available for your device.</p>

<p>What’s the surprise here that is mentioned in the title? Well, it’s the stable update for the Galaxy S25 Edge (more on that below).</p>

<h2>Stable One UI 8 update also arrives for Galaxy S25 Edge</h2>

<p>The Galaxy S25 Edge, launched in May, was not a part of the One UI 8 beta program. Hence, we were expecting the stable update to take time once it begins for the regular S25 models, but it turns out the S25 Edge has already started getting the update. It’s currently available in South Korea, with more regions to follow soon.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Galaxy-S25-Edge-One-UI-8-update-652x1024.webp?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Galaxy-S25-Edge-One-UI-8-update-652x1024.webp?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 Edge One UI 8 update" class="wp-image-706763" width="332" height="511" /><figcaption>Image via Tarun Vats/<a href="https://x.com/tarunvats33/status/1967488394914902046" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">X</a></figcaption></figure></div></a></div>

<p>It appears that Samsung is moving quickly with the One UI 8 rollout. With half of this month still to go, we strongly believe that more Galaxy devices will receive the stable update later this month. That might include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.</p>

<p>Samsung has already confirmed that it will complete the stable rollout of One UI 8.0 to all eligible Galaxy devices before the end of the year, and the latest actions also suggest the same.</p>

<p>If you’re unsure about One UI 8’s eligibility for your Galaxy device, check the complete list <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/27/samsung-one-ui-8-update-rollout-timeline-eligible-devices-new-features-and-more/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>. <p>Every year, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>drops not just one, but a trio of Galaxy S flagships. The regular <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25</a> is the entry point, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ultra </a>is the all-in luxury beast, and sitting right in the middle is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Plus</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Plus has always been the “middle child” of the lineup. It often feels like it exists just to be a bigger version of the regular model, without bringing anything truly new to the table. That might explain why last year’s S24 Plus was the least popular of the bunch.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Plus-vs-Galaxy-S25-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus vs Galaxy S25" class="wp-image-704867" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Plus-vs-Galaxy-S25-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Plus-vs-Galaxy-S25-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Plus-vs-Galaxy-S25-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Plus-vs-Galaxy-S25-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Plus-vs-Galaxy-S25-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>So if you’re stuck choosing between the Galaxy S25 and the S25 Plus, here’s how they stack up and whether the “middle child” makes sense for you for this year.</p>

<h3><strong>Design and size</strong></h3>

<p>The Galaxy S25 is Samsung’s smallest flagship this year. At 6.2 inches, it’s slim, light (162g), and easy to use one-handed.</p>

<p>The S25 Plus, on the other hand, stretches that to 6.7 inches with a noticeably larger body and weight (190g). If you’ve ever felt cramped typing on a smaller display or squinting at videos, the Plus fixes that immediately.</p>

<p>Both phones share the same premium build: Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back, Armor Aluminum 2 frame, and IP68 water resistance. Basically, durability is identical; it really comes down to how big you want your phone to feel in the hand.</p>

<h3><strong>Display</strong></h3>

<p>The difference in screens isn’t just size. The Galaxy S25 Plus bumps resolution to 1440p, giving you sharper visuals compared to the S25’s 1080p. Both are Samsung’s best AMOLED tech: LTPO 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and up to 2600 nits peak brightness. Whether you’re doomscrolling outdoors or streaming HDR content, both look fantastic.</p>

<p>But if you’re the type who notices pixel density, the Plus is clearly the sharper option.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance</strong></h3>

<p>Under the hood, there’s no difference. Both the S25 and S25 Plus run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 12GB RAM and fast UFS 4.0 storage. The only catch is that the S25 starts at 128GB, while the Plus skips that and begins at 256GB.</p>

<h3><strong>Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung kept things simple here. Both phones pack the same triple-camera system:</p>

<ul><li>50MP wide</li><li>10MP 3x telephoto</li><li>12MP ultrawide</li></ul>

<p>You also get the same 12MP selfie camera, with 4K video up front and up to 8K video recording on the rear. In other words, whether you go small or Plus, your photos and videos will look identical.</p>

<h3><strong>Battery and charging</strong></h3>

<p>Here’s where the S25 Plus finally pulls ahead. The smaller S25 has a 4000 mAh battery with 25W charging, while the Plus packs a 4900 mAh cell and supports 45W wired charging.</p>

<p>And that’s a notable difference. The Plus won’t just last longer, it also charges faster, hitting 65% in 30 minutes, compared to the S25’s 50% in the same time.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Extra perks</strong></h3>

<p>There’s one more bonus on the S25 Plus: Ultra Wideband (UWB) support. It’s not a must-have for everyone, but if you use Samsung’s SmartTags or plan to use your phone as a digital car key in the future, UWB could be a nice future-proof feature</p>

<h3><strong>Which one should you choose?</strong></h3>

<p>If you like compact phones, the Galaxy S25 is honestly one of the best small Android flagships you can buy. It’s powerful, pocketable, and doesn’t cut corners where it matters.</p>

<p>But if you don’t mind a bigger phone, and especially if you want better battery life, faster charging, and a sharper display, the Galaxy S25 Plus could be a better pick for you.</p>

<p>While most Chinese smartphone makers are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/31/vivo-y300-pro-announced-massive-7300mah-battery/">pushing the limits</a> of existing battery technology, finding new solutions and, of course, packing in as much capacity as possible to stay competitive—you’ll find Apple, Google, and Samsung on the other end of the spectrum. The idea here is that they prioritize the safety of their phones and users above all.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GtyXrekXcAAxX-n.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693394" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GtyXrekXcAAxX-n.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GtyXrekXcAAxX-n-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GtyXrekXcAAxX-n-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GtyXrekXcAAxX-n-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GtyXrekXcAAxX-n-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>But then news breaks: another smartphone has exploded, and it’s one of Samsung’s latest and best offerings—the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/23/galaxy-s25-s25-launched-with-snapdragon-8-elite-new-galaxy-ai-features/">Galaxy S25 Plus</a>. It’s easy to shift the blame to the user with something like “the phone might have been used with an unofficial charger or cable,” but PD support (a universal charging protocol) basically suggests users don’t have to stick to Samsung’s own charger.</p>

<p>Sure, a generic (if such a thing even exists) power brick or cable might cause something similar—but the chances are very low. For instance, you can’t just replace the original 3A cable with a generic 0.5A one and expect it to still deliver 3A. Both the phone and the power brick are smart enough to detect that. And yes, not every Samsung device with an issue has to be a “fake Samsung.”</p>

<p>The tweet that shared the images and talked about the incident has now been deleted, which removes a lot of useful context for assessing the case—but that doesn’t automatically mean it was an out-of-season April Fool’s joke or a “fake Samsung.”</p>

<p>And this isn’t an isolated incident either. While reading about this case, I came across <a href="https://x.com/BobShinanigan/status/1935103417468264907">another</a> where a Galaxy S23 Ultra suddenly began overheating while charging, and the battery swelled enough to crack the back glass. It’s not just phones either: a Galaxy Buds FE unit <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/23/sad-news-samsungs-galaxy-buds-fe-suddenly-explode-leaving-one-user-with-hearing-loss/">reportedly exploded</a> in someone’s ear last year, causing permanent hearing damage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="487" height="457" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-21-222908.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693396" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-21-222908.png 487w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-21-222908-300x282.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-21-222908-448x420.png 448w" sizes="(max-width: 487px) 100vw, 487px" /></figure></div>

<p>And to be clear, I’m not cherry-picking here—I can recall a total of five fairly recent incidents: one involving a OnePlus device, one from Poco, and three from Samsung, whose lackluster battery and charging performance is often justified in the name of safety. And let’s not forget the Galaxy Note7 fiasco, which stemmed from a major battery manufacturing flaw.</p>

<h2>This limited-time deal lets you save £369!</h2>

<p>Following their earlier Galaxy S25+ offer with free Buds 3, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> has upped the ante. This new deal slashes £150 off the Galaxy S25+, dropping the 256GB model to £849 (from £999) and the 512GB to £949 (from £1,099).</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="897" height="625" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-683105" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount.png 897w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount-300x209.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount-768x535.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount-696x485.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount-603x420.png 603w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/galaxy-s25plus-bundle-discount-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px" /><figcaption>Source: Samsung UK</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On top of that, you get the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at no extra cost. These earbuds, normally £219, are Samsung’s best yet, boasting Blade Lights and planar driver tech for crisp, immersive audio. Even if you buy them separately, they’re currently £40 off, but snagging them free with the S25+ is a real win.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="785" height="236" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Screenshot-2025-04-22-143458.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-683106" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Screenshot-2025-04-22-143458.png 785w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Screenshot-2025-04-22-143458-300x90.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Screenshot-2025-04-22-143458-768x231.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Screenshot-2025-04-22-143458-696x209.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 785px) 100vw, 785px" /><figcaption>Source: Samsung UK</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Galaxy S25+ itself is a solid choice for Samsung enthusiasts — it packs a 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with 2600 nits of brightness, more than enough for outdoor usage on a sunny day. It’s powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/">S25 Ultra</a>, ensuring seamless execution of almost anything you can through at it. Although its middle frame is made of aluminum instead of the Ultra&#8217;s titanium, the overall build quality is still impressive, as per reviews and durability tests. While it lacks the S Pen, it’s the best non-Ultra slab phone Samsung offers — and its slightly smaller size makes it more appealing to those who prefer one-hand use.</p>

<p>This deal is only available for a short time, so you’ll need to act fast. Head to <a href="https://www.samsung.com/uk/smartphones/galaxy-s25/buy/">Samsung’s UK e-shop</a> to grab the S25+ in your choice of storage and color. With £369 in savings, this bundle is a perfect time to upgrade for Galaxy fans.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-plus/">Samsung Galaxy S25+</a> might look a lot like its predecessor at first glance—same flat frame, same minimalist back with three camera lenses. But as it turns out, it&#8217;s not actually the same phone as last year with just a new chip.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="590" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-1024x590.png?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 plus teardown" class="wp-image-671798" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-1024x590.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-768x443.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-1536x885.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-696x401.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-1068x615.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1-729x420.png 729w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-teardown-1.png 1645w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> has actually spent some time thinking about how to improve its performance and sustainability further. A recent teardown by YouTuber PBKreviews shows there is a larger VC cooling inside, even though it looks the same as the S24+ from the outside.</p>

<h2>The apparent Galaxy S24+ twin boasts a larger heat sink inside</h2>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/21/snapdragon-8s-elite-everything-we-know-about-it/#:~:text=Snapdragon%208s%20Elite%3A%20Everything%20we%20know%20so%20far&amp;text=The%20chip%20has%20one%20core,Elite%20has%20an%20Adreno%20830.">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> is already more efficient than the previous generation. But Samsung isn’t taking any chances. While the company hasn’t officially revealed anything about the cooling setup for the base and Plus models, the teardown hints that they might share some tech with the Ultra model, which has a fancy redesigned vapor chamber (VC) for better heat management. It also happens to be 40% larger. So even if this model doesn&#8217;t have an &#8220;Ultra&#8221; on its name, it has the kind of resources required to handle most of the heavy titles available on Android.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1014" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-1024x1014.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-671796" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-1024x1014.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-300x297.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-768x760.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-696x689.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-1068x1057.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size-424x420.png 424w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Galaxy-S25-plus-vs-S24-Plus-VC-cooling-size.png 1090w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Galaxy S25+ vs S24+ VC cooling size</figcaption></figure>

<p>But what about repairability? After all, its a $900 flagship, and no one who is looking for a company&#8217;s best wants to deal with broken or non-functional parts. PBKreviews gave the Galaxy S25+ a solid 9 out of 10 for repairability, which is pretty impressive.</p>

<iframe loading="lazy" title="Samsung Galaxy S25+ Teardown Disassembly Phone Repair Video Review" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0LC9mEP2q-I?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p>Sure, you still have to deal with the glued-back panel, but once you’re inside, things get easier. There are 21 screws to deal with, which might make replacing the battery a bit of a chore, but Samsung has added a larger adhesive tab to make pulling the battery out less of a headache.</p>

<p>Pre-order Samsung Galaxy phones now &amp; get up to $1,250 off + a chance to win $5,000 credit (US only) – <a href="https://howl.link/erlejlgnge89i">https://howl.link/erlejlgnge89i</a></p>

<p>And if you’re the DIY type, Samsung sells original spare parts directly to consumers, which is a big win for anyone who likes to fix their own gadgets. Sure, phones like the Fairphone 5 are still the kings of repairability, but the Galaxy S25+ shows Samsung is at least heading in the right direction.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S25 Series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset across all models, dismissing earlier speculation about the Exynos 2500 SoC. Additionally, the base RAM for the series has been confirmed to start at 12GB.</p>

<p><strong>Leaked Pricing for Galaxy S25 Series in India</strong></p>

<ul><li><strong>Galaxy S25:</strong><ul><li>12GB RAM + 256GB Storage: ₹84,999</li><li>12GB RAM + 512GB Storage: ₹94,999</li></ul></li><li><strong>Galaxy S25+:</strong><ul><li>12GB RAM + 256GB Storage: ₹1,04,999</li><li>12GB RAM + 512GB Storage: ₹1,14,999</li></ul></li><li><strong>Galaxy S25 Ultra:</strong><ul><li>12GB RAM + 256GB Storage: ₹1,34,999</li><li>16GB RAM + 512GB Storage: ₹1,44,999</li><li>16GB RAM + 1TB Storage: ₹1,64,999</li></ul></li></ul>

<p>When compared to the Galaxy S24 Series, the base variant of the S25 (12GB + 256GB) is ₹5,000 more expensive, increasing from ₹79,999 to ₹84,999. The price hike is consistent across all models, suggesting that Samsung may be positioning the S25 Series as a premium offering with upgraded hardware and memory.</p>

<p>Rumors about a potential Galaxy S25 Slim variant persist, but its absence from leaked Vietnamese retailer listings casts doubt on its debut at the upcoming event.</p>

<h3>Speculated Hardware Upgrades:</h3>

<p>All models are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, an overclocked variant of Qualcomm’s high-end SoC. The base RAM is rumored to start at 12GB. It is still speculated that some regions could receive Exynos 2500 SoC variant.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S25 and S25+ are rumored to feature 6.36-inch and 6.7-inch AMOLED displays, respectively, with 120Hz refresh rates. The S25 is said to offer FHD+ resolution, while the S25+ may step up to QHD+. Battery capacities could differ, with the S25 reportedly housing a 4,000mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging and the S25+ offering a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Both models are expected to support Qi2 wireless charging.</p>

<p>Camera configurations for the S25 and S25+ are rumored to include a 50MP primary sensor, 10MP telephoto, 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP front camera.</p>

<h3>Galaxy S25 Ultra: Rumored Features</h3>

<p>The Galaxy S25 Ultra is speculated to distinguish itself with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display featuring a 1440p resolution and Corning Gorilla Armor Glass. It is rumored to incorporate a glass and titanium build, making it slimmer, narrower, and lighter than its predecessor.</p>

<p>Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and starting with 12GB of RAM, the Ultra is expected to offer camera features including a 200MP primary sensor, 12MP telephoto, 50MP periscope telephoto, and 50MP ultra-wide, alongside a 10MP front shooter. It may include a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging support.</p>

<p>Although earlier Geekbench listings hinted at the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/05/galaxy-s25-surfaces-with-exynos-2500-on-geekbench-lags-significantly-behind-in-single-core-performance/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Exynos 2500 SoC for the Galaxy S25 Plus</a>, the latest information confirms that the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This suggests Samsung will once again offer the device with the Exynos version in some regions, while others will receive models powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.</p>

<h2>Galaxy S25 series: Everything we know so far</h2>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25</a> and S25+ share many features, with the base model offering a compact design and the Plus variant providing a larger, flagship-sized option. Both models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC for Galaxy, while it looks like some regions might get the Exynos 2500 variants. The S25 includes a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, while the S25+ features a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging.</p>

<p>Leaks suggest that the S25 has a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, while the S25+ comes with a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ display. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera systems on both models include a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP front camera.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Ultra</a> will be the top-tier model, featuring a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1440p resolution and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/27/galaxy-s25-ultra-to-exclusively-offer-2nd-gen-gorilla-armor-glass-stronger-with-anti-reflective-coating/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">second-generation Gorilla Armor Glass</a>. It will feature a refined design with a glass and titanium build, making it slightly slimmer and lighter than the previous model. The device uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, comes with 12GB of RAM, and includes a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired and Qi2 wireless charging.</p>

<p>The Ultra’s camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, along with a 10MP front-facing camera.</p>

<p>Now, completing the puzzle with pricing details, <em>SpillSomeBeans</em> has leaked the full price list for the Galaxy S25 series for the Vietnamese market.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-668363" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2><strong>Galaxy S25 Series Pricing</strong></h2>

<p>Previous rumors have suggested that the Galaxy S25 series might come with a price hike, and the latest leak seems to confirm this.</p>

<p>According to the report, the base <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25</a> model in Vietnam will cost <strong>23,990,000 VND (~$999)</strong> for the 256GB version, while the 512GB variant will be priced at <strong>27,490,000 VND (~$1,149)</strong>.</p>

<p>Similarly, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Plus</a> will be available at <strong>27,990,000 VND (~$1,169)</strong> for the 256GB version and <strong>31,490,000 VND (~$1,299)</strong> for the 512GB variant.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-668365" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-leak-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-leak-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-leak-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-series-price-leak-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>For the top-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Ultra,</a> the base 256GB model will retail at <strong>34,990,000 VND (~$1,449)</strong>, the 512GB version at <strong>38,490,000 VND (~$1,599)</strong>, and the 1TB variant at <strong>45,790,000 VND (~$1,899)</strong>.</p>

<p>That’s a consistent $40 price increase across the lineup compared to the launch prices of the S24 series, with the exception of the S25 Ultra, which sees a slightly higher $50 hike. Here&#8217;s how the Galaxy S25 series pricing stacks up against the S24 series.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table is-style-stripes"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Model</strong></td><td><strong>Memory Configuration</strong></td><td><strong>Galaxy S25 Series (2025)</strong></td><td><strong>Galaxy S24 Sereis (2024)</strong></td><td><strong>Price Difference</strong></td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S Ultra</td><td>256GB</td><td>34,990,000 VND</td><td>33,990,000 VND</td><td>+1,000,000 VND (~$40)</td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S Ultra</td><td>512GB</td><td>38,490,000 VND</td><td>37,490,000 VND</td><td>+1,000,000 VND (~$40)</td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S Ultra</td><td>1TB</td><td>45,790,000 VND</td><td>44,490,000 VND</td><td>+1,300,000 VND (~$50)</td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S Plus</td><td>256GB</td><td>27,990,000 VND</td><td>26,990,000 VND</td><td>+1,000,000 VND (~$40)</td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S Plus</td><td>512GB</td><td>31,490,000 VND</td><td>30,490,000 VND</td><td>+1,000,000 VND (~$40)</td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S</td><td>256GB</td><td>23,990,000 VND</td><td>22,990,000 VND</td><td>+1,000,000 VND (~$40)</td></tr><tr><td>Galaxy S</td><td>512GB</td><td>27,490,000 VND</td><td>26,490,000 VND</td><td>+1,000,000 VND (~$40)</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> has officially locked in January 22, 2025, for its Winter Unpacked event, where we’re likely to see the unveiling of the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 lineup.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This year, the event will take place in San Jose, California. The company started sending out invitations on January 6, just as CES 2025 kicks off in Las Vegas.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025" class="wp-image-667532" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-Unpacked-2025.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The event is expected to introduce more than just new phones. Samsung is placing a heavy emphasis on AI and claims this will &#8220;change the way Galaxy users interact with the world.&#8221;</p>

<p>If the AI enhancements we saw last summer with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are anything to go by, the new Galaxy S devices might bring even more impressive tools and smarter user experiences.</p>

<h3><strong>When and Where to Watch</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung’s first Unpacked event for 2025 will be livestreamed on January 22 at 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT. You can tune in via the Samsung Newsroom, Samsung.com, or the company’s YouTube channel.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>What to Expect – The Galaxy S25 Line</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung appears to be staying true to its signature design language for the S25 series, keeping significant visual overhauls off the table. Based on leaked renders, the phones will look familiar but come with refinements that should make them feel noticeably better in hand.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Ultra</a> is expected to sport rounded corners in place of the sharp-edged design of the S24 Ultra. While those sharp corners gave the S24 Ultra a sleek and professional look, they also tended to make extended use uncomfortable. The softer edges of the S25 Ultra should improve grip and overall handling.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667352" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Ultra variant is also expected to continue Samsung’s use of premium materials, featuring a titanium back panel, while the standard S25 and S25+ will likely settle for aluminum frames. As with previous Ultra models, an embedded S Pen is almost certainly returning, housed neatly at the bottom of the device.</p>

<p>Display upgrades are part of the package for the S25 series, especially the Ultra. According to leaks from Ice Universe, the S25 Ultra will pack a 6.86-inch screen – marginally larger than its predecessor’s 6.8 inches.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Despite the larger display, the overall width of the phone will shrink slightly to 77.6mm, compared to the S24 Ultra’s 79mm. Samsung has reportedly shaved the bezels down to just 2.3mm, resulting in a higher screen-to-body ratio that maximizes the viewing experience.</p>

<p>Along with this, the Ultra’s display will reportedly feature second-generation Corning Gorilla Armor Glass, offering improved durability and anti-reflective properties. The core display specs – a 120Hz LTPO panel and 1440p resolution – are expected to remain unchanged.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667350" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>A major shift might be happening under the hood. All S25 models, including the base and Plus versions, are tipped to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor globally, bypassing Samsung’s usual regional split between Snapdragon and Exynos chips.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, production issues with the Exynos 2500 have forced Samsung to stick with Snapdragon across the board.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The S25 is likely to stick with a 4000mAh battery, while the S25+ could feature 4900mAh, and the S25 Ultra should maintain its 5000mAh capacity. Charging speeds will likely stay at 25W for the S25 and 45W for the S25+ and Ultra. One big change, though, could be that the S25 series is rumored to adopt Qi2 wireless charging.</p>

<h3><strong>A Possible New Addition to the Lineup</strong></h3>

<p>While the focus remains on the three primary models, rumors suggest Samsung could unveil a fourth device at Unpacked. It won’t be an<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/12/galaxy-s25-fe-could-come-as-a-slim-device/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> S25 FE</a> but potentially a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-slim/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Slim</a> – a thinner, lighter device designed to rival Apple’s rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-17-air/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone 17 Air</a>. Even the Unpacked event teaser shows four distinct devices, lending weight to this speculation.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a>’s Galaxy S25 series is expected to make its debut at the Unpacked event on January 22. As we inch closer to the launch, leaks continue to give us a clearer picture of what to expect.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, we at Gizmochina have gotten our hands on one of the color variants of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Plus</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Ultra</a>. The images offer a closer look at the design and confirm a few rumored features we have been hearing about.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>New Colors and Design Refinements</strong></h3>

<p>The images reveal the Blue variants of the Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, which are likely to be dubbed &#8220;Icy Blue&#8221; and &#8220;Titanium Blue,&#8221; respectively.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the names suggest, the two shades are visibly different. Both devices are encased in transparent Spigen Crystal Flex cases, offering us a clear view of their design.</p>

</figure>

<p>One of the standout features is the impressively thin bezels on both models. The edges appear slimmer than what we’ve seen on any recent flagship, including Apple’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-16-pro-max/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone 16 Pro Max</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This aligns with earlier claims from reputable leaker Ice Universe, who suggested the Galaxy S25 series would have the slimmest bezels on the market.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The exact measurement of the bezels has yet to surface, but they do indeed look slimmer than most rival phones. However, the overall dimensions of both phones seem consistent with their predecessors.</p>

<h3><strong>MagSafe-Like Wireless Charging, With a Caveat</strong></h3>

<p>The images also reveal a MagSafe-style ring on the back of both devices. Samsung is reportedly adopting magnetic wireless charging for its flagship series. However, some reports also suggest the feature will rely on an external accessory rather than being built into the phones.</p>

<p>This means the Galaxy S25 series likely won’t include the built-in magnets required for Qi2 wireless charging. Instead, users must purchase a dedicated &#8220;Magnet Case&#8221; to enable this feature.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" data-id="667353" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667353" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Blue-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a><figcaption>Galaxy S25</figcaption></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" data-id="667354" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-667354" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-Blue-Back-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a><figcaption>Galaxy S25 Ultra </figcaption></figure>
</figure>

<p>While the case will allow compatibility with MagSafe accessories and Qi2 wireless charging, it adds an extra cost for users looking to leverage this functionality.</p>

<p>This is a first for Samsung’s flagship lineup. In the past, the company avoided magnetic cases due to potential interference with the S Pen. The Galaxy S25 series appears to have resolved this issue, allowing Samsung to compete with brands like OnePlus and Oppo, which offer similar solutions for their devices.</p>

<p>As more leaks surface, it’s clear that Samsung is refining its flagship lineup while addressing consumer demands for modern features like magnetic wireless charging. We’ll have to wait until January 22 to see how these features perform in real-world use.</p>

<p>More and more aspects of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-s25/">Galaxy S25</a> series, expected to launch in Q1 2025, are getting revealed thanks to leaks and rumors. Two of the most recent ones include images of the screen protectors (that hint at even slimmer bezels) and aluminum dummy units of all three models along with the precise dimensions.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1005" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/S25-S25-S25Ultra-dummy-units.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-655996" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/S25-S25-S25Ultra-dummy-units.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/S25-S25-S25Ultra-dummy-units-300x294.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/S25-S25-S25Ultra-dummy-units-768x754.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/S25-S25-S25Ultra-dummy-units-696x683.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/S25-S25-S25Ultra-dummy-units-428x420.jpg 428w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>It looks like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> is continuing its minimalist design approach with the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus, while the Ultra model is getting a major shift in design &#8211; rounded corners.</p>

<h2>Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra dimensions:</h2>

<p>The Galaxy S25 measures 146.94 x 70.46 x 7.25 mm, down from 7.6mm of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s24/">Galaxy S24</a>.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S25 Plus measures 158.44 x 75.79 x 7.35 mm, down from 7.7mm of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s24-plus/">Galaxy S24 Plus</a>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe loading="lazy" title="Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus Leaked as Dummy Phone" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bUaXXrc4Mnc?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p>Galaxy S25 Ultra measures at 162.82 x 77.65 x 8.25 mm, down from 8.6mm of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra/">S24 Ultra</a>. The upcoming Ultra flagship is also slightly narrower, down from the 79mm of the S24 Ultra, which is possibly due to the slimmer bezels.</p>

<h2>Front design</h2>

<p>The S25 Ultra will be the brand&#8217;s first Ultra model to feature a completely flat display, addressing several issues: easier availability of screen protectors, better display protection from the middle frame covering the sides, and fewer accidental touches.</p>

<p>Leaked images of the screen protectors also hint at slimmer bezels for all three models.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="738" height="741" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Series-Screen-Protectors.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-656010" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Series-Screen-Protectors.jpg 738w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Series-Screen-Protectors-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Series-Screen-Protectors-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Series-Screen-Protectors-696x699.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Series-Screen-Protectors-418x420.jpg 418w" sizes="(max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px" /></figure></div>

<p>Inside, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite) chip, which is expected to deliver significant improvements in raw performance and AI processing compared to its predecessor. However, the chip will be notably more expensive. Although earlier rumors suggested that the base and Plus models would adopt MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400, a recent report from Sammy Fans indicates that the Snapdragon chip will be used across the entire lineup.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> tends to play it safe when it comes to major upgrades for its Galaxy S series. This conservative approach appears to extend to the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup, with a recent leak revealing no significant changes in battery size for the Plus model.</p>

<p>According to the reliable source <em><a href="https://www.galaxyclub.nl/samsung/galaxy-s25/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">GalaxyClub</a></em>, the Galaxy S25 Plus will pack the same battery as its predecessor, the S24 Plus. This translates to a rated capacity of 4,755mAh, with Samsung likely marketing it as a 4,900mAh battery (similar to the S24 Plus).  </p>

<p>Leaks also suggest the base S25 and the top-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/19/galaxy-s25-ultra-battery-upgrade-hopes-dashed-by-new-information/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S25 Ultra </a>will retain their respective 4,000mAh and 5,000mAh batteries from the S24 generation.  </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="796" height="511" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Render-Featured.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S25" class="wp-image-650000" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Render-Featured.png 796w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Render-Featured-300x193.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Render-Featured-768x493.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Render-Featured-696x447.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Render-Featured-654x420.png 654w" sizes="(max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px" /></figure></div>

<p>While a stagnant battery size isn&#8217;t ideal news, it&#8217;s important to remember that capacity alone doesn&#8217;t dictate battery life. Other factors like the power efficiency of the chipset and the display technology play a crucial role. And here&#8217;s where things get a bit more interesting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The rumored 3nm chipset powering the S25 series could potentially deliver improvements in efficiency compared to the 4nm chips in the S24 lineup. This, in turn, could translate to better battery life despite the unchanged capacities.</p>

<p>That said, the lack of a battery bump could put the S25 series at a slight disadvantage compared to some competitors. Phones like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-12/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus 12</a>,<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x100-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Vivo X100 Pro</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/asus-rog-phone-8/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Asus Rog Phone 8</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/honor-magic-6-pro/">Honor Magic 6 Pro</a> all boast batteries exceeding 5,400mAh. </p>

<p>The competition is only getting fiercer, with rumors swirling about the next OnePlus flagship potentially sporting a monstrous 6,000mAh battery.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ultimately, whether the S25 series can compete in the battery life department remains to be seen. We&#8217;ll have to wait for official specs and real-world testing to get a clearer picture. But from what we know so far, if you prioritize a phone with the absolute biggest battery, the S25 series might not be the best choice in 2025.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> is making a major change to its Galaxy S lineup! Recently, the team at <a href="https://www.androidheadlines.com/2024/07/exclusive-samsung-makes-radical-change-with-galaxy-s25-series-no-more-plus-model.html">Android Headlines</a> has been sharing new details about Samsung&#8217;s future devices. It seems that Samsung might ditch the Plus model from the Galaxy S25 series.</p>

<p>While leaks have confirmed the existence of a regular <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/01/galaxy-s25-might-run-genshin-impact-at-120-fps/">Galaxy S25</a> and a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/06/28/galaxy-s25-ultra-design-leaks-suggest-slimmer-profile-and-rounded-corners/">Galaxy S25 Ultra</a>, Galaxy S25 Plus did not make an appearance. The model numbers of the upcoming Samsung phones are: SM-S931B/DS, SM-S938B, SM-S938U, SM-S938N, and SM-S9380. Regular Galaxy S25 and the S25 Ultra are here but unfortunately the S25 Plus is missing.</p>

<p>Initial leaks for Galaxy S24 series, back in July 2023, pointed towards a traditional three-model lineup with the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. However, recent leaks suggest a potential shift in Samsung&#8217;s tradition, with only two models coming up in the S25 lineup. The company seems dissatisfied with the sales rates of the S24 Plus, leading to the decision to drop the S25 Plus model.</p>

<p>Earlier, Samsung used a better display in the S24+ compared to the regular S24. While both the S23 and S23+ featured 1080 x 2340 resolution screens, this year, the Plus model boasted a higher resolution display (1440 x 3120). Despite this, it appears users still are not convinced enough to go for the Plus model.</p>
