Honor has unveiled a new mid-range 5G phone, the Honor X50i+ in China. To recall, the company unveiled the Honor X50 featuring a 120Hz LCD panel and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, in July this year. The X50+I, which is positioned higher than the X50, comes equipped with key specifications, such as a 90Hz OLED screen, a Dimensity 6080 chipset, and 108-megapixel dual rear cameras. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and price of the device.

Honor X50i Plus specifications and features

The Honor X50i Plus houses a 6.7-inch OLED screen that produces an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, 3240Hz PWM dimming, and up to 2,000 nits of brightness. On the front, the device is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera, and its unique rear camera island on the back has a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash.

The X50i Plus features the Dimensity 6080 chipset, 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 8 GB of virtual RAM, up to 512 GB storage, and runs on Magic OS-based Android 13. It packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 35W charging.

For security, the X50I+ is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint sensor. It measures 161.05 x 74.55 x 6.78mm and weighs 166 grams.

Honor X50i Plus price

The Honor X50i Plus has arrived in China in two configurations, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. These variants are priced at 1,599 Yuan (~$219) and 1,799 Yuan (~$247), respectively. It comes in four shades, such as pink, blue, green, and black.

The X50i+ seems like a good rival for the Oppo A2 5G, which features a 90Hz LCD display, a Dimensity 6020 chip, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and 512 GB of storage. The A2 has a starting price of 1,699 Yuan (~$233).

Last month, Honor unveiled the Honor Play 8T smartphone featuring the Dimensity 6080 chipset in China. A recent report revealed that the brand is gearing up for the Honor X50 GT smartphone equipped with an OLED display and Snapdragon 888 chipset. While there is no official confirmation of its existence yet, a poster that is now being circulated on Weibo suggests that Honor will soon launch a new phone named the Honor X50i+.

Honor X50i+ design

In the above poster, the Honor X50i+ can be seen gracing a unique rear camera module, which houses two cameras and an LED flash. The edges of the phone are flat, and it is expected to come in blue and pink color variants. Since the front side of the device has not been revealed yet, it is unclear whether it has a punch-hole or a waterdrop-notch screen. The device seems to be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

Honor X50i+ specifications (rumored)

It is speculated that the Honor device with the model number LLY-AN00 that has received approval from Chinese certification platforms like 3C and TENAA could be the upcoming Honor X50i+. As per the TENAA listing, the X50i+ will feature a 6.7-inch LCD FHD+ display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and probably a high refresh rate. It will be powered by a 2.4GHz unspecified chip, which supports 5G connectivity.

The X50i will come in multiple RAM options, including 6 GB, 8 GB, 12 GB, and 16 GB, along with various storage capacities such as 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. It will lack support for external storage.

The Honor X50i+ will have a 4,500mAh battery with 35W charging support. It will have an 8-megapixel camera on the front, while the rear camera setup will consist of a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera.

The Honor X50i+ is said to be available for pre-orders in China and is expected to go official on Nov. 10, a day for China’s Double Eleven (Nov. 11) shopping festival.
