<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro and Huawei Pura 80 Pro represent two of the most advanced flagships from China’s top brands in 2025. This comparison matters because it highlights two contrasting approaches: Xiaomi’s cutting-edge Snapdragon performance and Leica camera tuning versus Huawei’s powerful imaging hardware and HarmonyOS ecosystem. Both cater to premium users seeking a balance between photography, power, and design finesse.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="935" height="617" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-26.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-709647" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-26.png 935w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-26-300x198.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-26-768x507.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-26-696x459.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-26-636x420.png 636w" sizes="(max-width: 935px) 100vw, 935px" /></figure></div>

<p></p>

<h3><strong>Design and Display</strong></h3>

<p><strong>Build and Feel:</strong><strong><br></strong>Xiaomi 17 Pro uses an aluminum frame with Dragon Crystal Glass, giving it a modern yet durable premium feel. Its IP68 rating ensures strong protection up to 4 meters underwater. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro also features a solid glass-metal build but adds IP69 certification, offering better resistance against high-pressure water jets. However, Huawei’s larger frame feels bulkier, while Xiaomi’s compact form offers better ergonomics.</p>

<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro feels sleeker and more user-friendly, whereas Huawei Pura 80 Pro provides tougher durability. Xiaomi takes the edge for comfort and finish.</p>

<p><strong>Display Quality:</strong><strong><br></strong>Xiaomi’s 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED panel boasts HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and an incredible 3500 nits peak brightness. It even includes a 2.7-inch secondary display for rear camera selfies and notifications, a standout feature. Huawei counters with a larger 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display offering HDR Vivid and 3000 nits brightness. The Pura’s screen is slightly lower in brightness but more immersive.</p>

<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro’s dual-display setup and higher peak brightness make it more innovative, while Huawei’s bigger screen suits multimedia users better.</p>

<h3><strong>Specifications&nbsp;</strong></h3>

<p><strong>Performance:</strong><strong><br></strong>Xiaomi 17 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 3nm powerhouse with Oryon cores and Adreno 840 GPU. It delivers class-leading AI, gaming, and multitasking performance. Huawei’s Pura 80 Pro relies on its in-house chipset (likely Kirin-based), which, while efficient, cannot match Snapdragon’s raw speed or gaming prowess. HarmonyOS, however, provides smoother ecosystem integration.</p>

<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro outperforms Huawei’s chipset in benchmarks and multitasking, making it superior for performance-driven users.</p>

<p><strong>Battery and Charging:</strong><strong><br></strong>Xiaomi packs a 6300 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, exceptionally efficient for longevity and power. Huawei offers up to 5700 mAh with 100W wired and a faster 80W wireless system, making it excellent for quick top-ups. However, Xiaomi’s larger capacity ensures better endurance overall.</p>

<p>Huawei wins in wireless speed, but Xiaomi 17 Pro’s higher capacity and balanced charging efficiency provide better long-term battery performance.</p>

<h3><strong>Camera</strong></h3>

<p><strong>Main and Secondary Lenses:</strong><strong><br></strong>Xiaomi’s triple 50MP Leica-tuned setup includes a 1/1.28” main sensor, 5x periscope telephoto, and ultra-wide lens, supporting 8K HDR video and Dolby Vision. The Leica optics enhance color science and tone realism. Huawei’s 50MP 1-inch main sensor, 48MP telephoto, and 40MP ultra-wide deliver impressive detail and low-light performance, though video recording caps at 4K.</p>

<p>Huawei’s 1-inch sensor gives it an edge in still photography, but Xiaomi’s superior video recording and Leica tuning make it more versatile overall.</p>

<p><strong>Selfie Camera:</strong><strong><br></strong>Xiaomi 17 Pro’s 50MP front sensor supports 4K HDR10+ video, ideal for vloggers and creators. Huawei’s 13MP ultrawide selfie camera is more flexible for group shots but lacks detail and cinematic video features.</p>

<p>Xiaomi’s 50MP HDR-capable selfie shooter easily outshines Huawei’s front camera in sharpness and video quality.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing</strong></h3>

<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro costs around $800, while the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is priced at $1000. The $200 gap is significant given Xiaomi’s inclusion of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, secondary display, and Leica camera system. Huawei justifies its higher price with a larger 1-inch sensor and stronger IP69 protection, but it offers less raw performance for the cost.</p>

<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro provides greater overall value, blending performance and premium features at a lower price point.</p>

<p><em>Disclaimer:</em><strong><br></strong><em>Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.</em><em></em></p>

<h3><strong>Conclusion</strong></h3>

<p>Xiaomi 17 Pro stands out with its secondary rear display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and Leica partnership, combining innovation and raw power. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro’s strengths lie in its 1-inch sensor, satellite messaging, and HarmonyOS integration, making it ideal for Huawei ecosystem users and photography purists.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict:<br></strong>For users seeking maximum performance, longer battery life, and balanced innovation, the Xiaomi 17 Pro is the smarter choice. However, for those prioritizing photography and ecosystem features, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro remains a powerful alternative.</p>

<p>The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra and Pura 80 Pro represent Huawei’s latest flagship push, each tailored to different premium users. With both phones offering stunning design, powerful cameras, and top-end displays, the real question lies in how much extra value the Ultra brings over the Pro’s more affordable price. This comparison matters for anyone deciding between Huawei&#8217;s best, whether to go all-in or stick with high-end essentials.</p>

<h3><strong>Design and Display</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="551" height="619" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-90.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 ultra" class="wp-image-693564" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-90.png 551w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-90-267x300.png 267w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-90-374x420.png 374w" sizes="(max-width: 551px) 100vw, 551px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><strong>Build and Feel:</strong><strong><br></strong>Both models feature premium materials: a glass front and back with an aluminum frame, and both are IP68/IP69 rated for water and dust resistance. However, the Pura 80 Ultra feels more solid and flagship-grade due to its slightly heavier build and second-gen Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass. This added durability justifies its higher tier. The Pura 80 Pro shares the same dimensions but uses standard Kunlun Glass 2, making it slightly lighter but offering slightly less resilience in extreme conditions.</p>

<p><strong>Display Quality:</strong><strong><br></strong>Both phones sport a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with 1B colors, HDR Vivid, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1440Hz PWM dimming, delivering stunning visuals and peak brightness of 3000 nits. In day-to-day use, the difference is negligible, but the Ultra&#8217;s upgraded screen protection means it&#8217;s better suited for long-term durability. Both provide nearly identical visual quality and brightness.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict:</strong><strong><br></strong>While both are stunning in design and display, the Pura 80 Ultra offers a more rugged premium build and enhanced glass protection, making it the better choice for users seeking both elegance and added durability.</p>

<h3><strong>Specifications</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="603" height="668" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-97.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro" class="wp-image-693581" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-97.png 603w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-97-271x300.png 271w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-97-379x420.png 379w" sizes="(max-width: 603px) 100vw, 603px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><strong>Performance:</strong><strong><br></strong>The Pura 80 Ultra runs on the new 7nm Kirin 9020 chipset paired with the Maleoon 920 GPU, offering advanced processing and power efficiency. Its 16GB RAM configuration ensures smoother multitasking compared to the 12GB RAM options on the Pura 80 Pro. The Pro also lacks clear chipset details but seems less tuned for extreme multitasking or heavier tasks. In high-performance gaming or editing, the Ultra will hold up better under pressure.</p>

<p><strong>Battery and Charging:</strong><strong><br></strong>Both models come with a 5170 mAh battery internationally (5700 mAh in China), but charging speeds set them apart. The Ultra supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging across all regions, whereas the Pro offers only 66W wired charging outside China. The Ultra also supports both 20W reverse wireless and 18W reverse wired charging, offering more flexibility. For international users, especially, the Ultra brings more complete fast-charging capabilities.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict:</strong><strong><br></strong>The Pura 80 Ultra outperforms the Pro in both raw performance and charging versatility, making it the more future-proof option for power users and international buyers.</p>

<h3><strong>Camera</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="533" height="636" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-88.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Ultra" class="wp-image-693502" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-88.png 533w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-88-251x300.png 251w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-88-352x420.png 352w" sizes="(max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><strong>Main and Secondary Lenses:</strong><strong><br></strong>The Ultra houses a quad-camera setup, including two periscope telephoto lenses (3.7x and 9.4x optical zoom), in addition to a 1.0&#8243; type 50MP main sensor and a 40MP ultrawide. The Pura 80 Pro features a triple setup with a 48MP telephoto lens (4x zoom) and similar wide and ultrawide sensors. The Ultra&#8217;s dual telephoto system offers significantly better zoom versatility and maintains detail even at extreme distances. Also, the Ultra uses the same large sensor across its zoom lenses, leading to more consistent image quality.</p>

<p><strong>Selfie Camera:</strong><strong><br></strong>Both phones have a 13MP ultrawide selfie camera with autofocus, capable of 4K recording and HDR. In practice, there’s little difference in selfie output, but the Ultra may have a slight edge in software tuning thanks to its higher-tier processing power.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict:</strong><strong><br></strong>The Ultra leads in camera hardware, especially in telephoto versatility. It’s the superior option for photography enthusiasts or professionals who need reliable zoom and high detail across focal lengths.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing</strong></h3>

<p>The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is priced at around $1500, while the Pura 80 Pro sits at approximately $1000. The $500 difference reflects the Ultra’s superior chipset, larger RAM, dual periscope lenses, and more robust charging options.<br><br>For users seeking value and core flagship features, the Pura 80 Pro offers excellent performance for its price. However, for those prioritizing top-tier zoom photography, longer-term durability, and ultimate power, the Ultra justifies the premium.<br><br><em>Disclaimer:</em><strong><br></strong><em>Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.</em></p>

<h3><strong>Conclusion </strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="579" height="578" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-99.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro" class="wp-image-693583" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-99.png 579w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-99-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-99-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-99-421x420.png 421w" sizes="(max-width: 579px) 100vw, 579px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Pro </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Pura 80 Ultra stands out with its dual periscope telephoto cameras, upgraded Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass, 100W charging globally, and a higher RAM configuration. It also brings more advanced satellite calling features in China. These upgrades are not just incremental but impactful for power users, photographers, and travelers needing rugged reliability.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict:<br></strong>The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is a full-fledged ultra-premium flagship built for professionals and enthusiasts who demand the best of Huawei’s tech. Meanwhile, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is a refined flagship that offers excellent performance at a much lower price, making it ideal for those who want a top-tier experience without the ultra-premium cost.<br><br>Choose the Ultra for maxed-out specs, or go with the Pro for excellent value.</p>

<p>The Chinese tech giant has released three models in the Pura 80 lineup, which consists of the base <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Pro</a>, and the flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Ultra</a>. To recall, these are premium devices, with the Pro and Ultra packing a massive 1-inch main camera on the rear. Huawei&#8217;s Pura 80 Pro will be available in multiple color options, namely Glazed Red, Glazed White, and Glazed Black. It is only available in a single 12GB + 512GB variant, which costs 1,099 Euros.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the Pura 80 Ultra has a 1,499 Euro price tag for the lone 16GB + 512GB option. Buyers can get this model in two color variants, which include Prestige Gold and Golden Black. Lastly, we have the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025), which arrives in Violet and Space Gray. The 8GB 129GB standard model costs 289 Euros, while the 8GB + 256GB PaperMatte Edition with bundled keyboard costs 429 Euros.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="623" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Huawei-MatePad-11.5-2025.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025)" class="wp-image-696490" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Huawei-MatePad-11.5-2025.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Huawei-MatePad-11.5-2025-300x183.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Huawei-MatePad-11.5-2025-768x467.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Huawei-MatePad-11.5-2025-696x423.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Huawei-MatePad-11.5-2025-690x420.jpg 690w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Unfortunately, the pricing for the vanilla Pura 80 model is still at large at the moment, but more details should be available closer to launch. All of these devices are coming to the European market soon with a wider release, possibly planned for select regions in Africa and Asia. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a> made a strong return to the ultra-premium smartphone market this June with the launch of its Pura 80 Series in China. The lineup includes the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">80 Pro</a>, 80 Pro+, and the top-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>Design and imaging take center stage across the board, but the Ultra variant leads with a new 1-inch ultra-dynamic sensor, dual optical zoom levels at 3.7x and 9.4x, and a sensor-shift stabilization system. It pairs a 50MP ultra-large telephoto and a 40MP ultra-wide, moving mobile photography closer to mirrorless camera territory.</p>

<p>All models come with OLED displays and 120Hz refresh rates. The Pro and Ultra versions support 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, with battery capacities reaching 5,700mAh. Huawei also introduced second-gen Kunlun Glass protection and dual satellite connectivity on the Pro+ and Ultra. HarmonyOS 5.1 brings new features like AI-powered privacy tools and cross-device file teleportation.</p>

<p>Pricing starts at 6,499 yuan ($906) for the Pro model and goes up to 10,999 yuan ($1,532) for the Ultra. Huawei has confirmed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/25/huaweis-pura-80-series-photography-flagship-gets-a-global-launch-date/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 series will launch globally on July 10</a> at an event in Dubai.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> is preparing to host one of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/23/xiaomi-june-26-launch-yu7-mix-flip-2-k80-ultra-pad-7s-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">its most ambitious product events of the year</a> on June 26, bringing a diverse lineup that spans foldable smartphones, high-performance tablets, wearables, and even an electric SUV. The company has teased its intent to expand far beyond mobile, and this event solidifies its push into a broader hardware ecosystem.</p>

<h4><strong>Xiaomi Mix Flip 2</strong></h4>

<p>The star of the event is expected to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mix-flip-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mix Flip 2</a>, Xiaomi’s first flip-style foldable and its only foldable for 2025. The device aims to compete directly with Samsung’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7</a>, and the specifications make that ambition clear. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and features a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display alongside a 4.01-inch outer screen.</p>

<p>Imaging is handled by a dual rear camera setup tuned by Leica, including a 50MP main sensor. The device is rated IPX8 for water resistance, and battery life should be among the best in the flip segment thanks to a 5,100mAh cell. The phone supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. With no Mix Fold launching this year, the Mix Flip 2 stands as Xiaomi’s sole entry into the foldable market in 2025.</p>

<h4><strong>Redmi K Pad</strong></h4>

<p>Xiaomi is also entering the compact gaming tablet segment with the new Redmi K Pad. It features an 8.8-inch LCD panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, making it well-suited for fast-paced gaming. The device is powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and comes equipped with dual USB-C ports for flexibility and accessory support.</p>

<p>In performance tests, the K Pad scored 8915 in Geekbench’s multi-core benchmark, positioning it among the top-performing Android tablets of its size. Xiaomi has added custom thermal tuning to keep temperatures in check during extended sessions. The display supports Dolby Vision, and the device has been designed to be lightweight and easy to use with one hand, appealing to both gamers and productivity users.</p>

<h4><strong>Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro</strong></h4>

<p>For users looking for a larger, more powerful tablet, Xiaomi will unveil the Pad 7S Pro. This model features a 12.5-inch 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also debuts Xiaomi’s in-house Xring O1 chip, designed to enhance performance and energy efficiency. The tablet supports 120W wired charging, placing it in flagship territory for speed and usability.</p>

<p>The Pad 7S Pro is expected to compete with premium devices like the iPad Pro, though pricing may be slightly more accessible. It is designed for creative professionals and power users who are already part of Xiaomi’s HyperOS ecosystem.</p>

<h4><strong>Redmi K80 Ultra</strong></h4>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k80-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K80 Ultra</a> is also set to launch at the event. This device will serve as Redmi’s summer performance flagship, with a focus on gaming and raw processing power. While full specifications are yet to be detailed officially, it is expected to come with aggressive pricing and a hardware configuration that reflects the brand’s high-performance identity. The design language continues Redmi’s trend of blending industrial aesthetics with practical functionality.</p>

<h4><strong>Xiaomi YU7 Electric SUV</strong></h4>

<p>In a move that highlights Xiaomi’s broader ambitions, the event will also mark the debut of the company’s first electric SUV, the Xiaomi YU7. The vehicle has already been spotted in leaked renders and spec documentation. It is expected to feature a 96.3kWh battery, deliver a driving range of up to 835 kilometers, and offer rapid acceleration capabilities.</p>

<p>The YU7 marks Xiaomi’s formal entry into the automotive sector following the debut of its SU7 electric sedan earlier in the year. With smartphones, tablets, and now cars under its belt, Xiaomi is positioning itself as a multi-category hardware company capable of delivering across different consumer segments.</p>

<h4><strong>Smart Band 10 &amp; More</strong></h4>

<p>The wearable segment is also set for a refresh. Xiaomi will introduce the Smart Band 10, featuring a 1.72-inch AMOLED display, a 233mAh battery, and support for up to 150 sports modes. According to earlier leaks, the Band 10 will launch globally on June 30 and is expected to retain a budget-friendly price tag.</p>

<p>In addition to the Band 10, Xiaomi will also unveil new accessories, including the Watch S4 (41mm), Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro, and updated AI Glasses.</p>

<p>The Chinese tech giant just confirmed the official launch date for the overseas market. The Pura 80 lineup will make its global debut in Dubai on 10th July 2025. As of right now, Huawei has yet to confirm the availability details, so its unclear which regions it will release in. To recall, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is the flagship model, which brings the world&#8217;s first dual lens telephoto shooter. </p>

<p>That&#8217;s not all, the primary sensor is a 1-inch 50MP camera with a f/1.6-4 variable aperture, which is paired with a 40MP ultra wide angle lens, a 1.5MP spectrum sensor, and a 50MP + 12.5MP dual periscope telephoto lens setup (3.7x and 9.4x optical zoom). On the other hand, the Pura 80 Pro models also pack the 50MP 1-inch RYYB primary sensor with variable aperture support and a 40MP ultra wide angle lens, but the periscope telephoto shooter only offers 4x optical zoom.</p>

<p>Huawei&#8217;s entire Pura 80 series is equipped with the Kirin 8020 SoC, support for wired and wireless fast charging, and satellite communication as well. These are flagship devices with a premium price tag, so we can expect these models to start from 1,000 US Dollars in the global market as well.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a>’s latest Pura 80 series has officially arrived in China, and this year’s lineup is all about pushing imaging technology forward while improving the overall user experience. The four new models, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Pro</a>, Pura 80 Pro+, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Ultra</a>, bring the brand’s most advanced camera hardware to date, along with bigger batteries, better displays, and more versatile satellite connectivity.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="427" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-1024x427.webp?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro+" class="wp-image-691474" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-1024x427.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-300x125.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-768x320.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-1536x640.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-2048x853.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-696x290.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-1068x445.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-1920x800.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-1-1008x420.webp 1008w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Pro+</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>This is not just a routine upgrade. The Pura 80 series builds on Huawei’s imaging-first strategy, once driven by the P series and now fully rebranded under the Pura name. And while we still don’t know what chips power these phones (Huawei continues to stay mum), the hardware is ambitious across the board. Here is everything you need to know.</p>

<h3><strong>Familiar but refined design</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="521" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-1024x521.webp?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Ultra" class="wp-image-691478" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-1024x521.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-300x153.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-768x391.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-1536x782.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-2048x1043.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-696x354.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-1068x544.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-1920x978.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1-825x420.webp 825w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>All four Pura 80 models share a sleek design language, with the Pro and Ultra models getting a touch more flair. The Pura 80 sticks to a 6.6-inch flat OLED panel, while the Pro, Pro+, and Ultra bump it up to a 6.8-inch curved OLED. The panels all support LTPO 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rates, 10-bit color depth (1.07 billion colors), HDR Vivid certification, and a peak local brightness of 3000 nits.</p>

<p>Second-generation Kunlun Glass is used across the range for added durability, and the entire series is IP68/IP69 rated for water and dust resistance. The Ultra takes it a step further with a unique &#8220;sun-pattern&#8221; rear finish and gold accents that subtly highlight its flagship positioning.</p>

<h3><strong>Big batteries for a long-lasting experience</strong></h3>

<p>If there is one practical area where Huawei clearly listened to user demand, it is battery life. The base Pura 80 comes with a 5600mAh battery that supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Pro, Pro+, and Ultra models all bump battery capacity to 5700mAh and support 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, plus 18W reverse wired and wireless charging.</p>

<p>Charging speeds are now among the fastest in the premium segment, which is especially welcome on devices focused so heavily on photography and AI-powered processing.</p>

<h3><strong>Imaging: where Huawei still plays to win</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="569" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-1024x569.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Ultra camera" class="wp-image-691480" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-1024x569.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-300x167.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-768x427.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-696x387.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-1068x593.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera-756x420.jpg 756w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-camera.jpg 1296w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>While the base Pura 80 has an impressive setup, including a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture and a 12MP periscope telephoto (5.5x optical), the Pro, Pro+, and Ultra models leave no doubt that Huawei still aims to lead the smartphone camera race.</p>

<p>Both the Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ adopt a 1-inch 50MP main sensor with a variable f/1.6–f/4.0 aperture, optical image stabilization, and an updated image processing pipeline. These are backed by a 48MP telephoto camera capable of 4x optical zoom and tele-macro shots, a 40MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor that helps with color accuracy and depth mapping.</p>

<p>The Ultra takes the biggest leap with a dual-focal-length switchable periscope telephoto system. This innovative module allows users to switch between two native optical zoom levels: 3.7x and 9.4x, both using a 1/1.28-inch sensor for superb image quality across the zoom range. Huawei claims the Ultra’s main 50MP sensor also delivers 16EV of dynamic range, the highest ever recorded in a smartphone camera, with up to 15x higher dynamic range than the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-70-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 70 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>Beyond the numbers, Huawei is adding more computational photography tools to its lineup this year. New shooting modes include Nature, Film, Movie, and Cartoon presets, along with a real-time video fusion feature that improves highlight retention and tone mapping in difficult lighting.</p>

<h3><strong>Satellite messaging: smarter, faster, and two-way</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="521" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-1024x521.webp?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Ultra satellite messaging" class="wp-image-691481" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-1024x521.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-300x153.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-768x391.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-1536x782.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-2048x1043.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-696x354.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-1068x544.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-1920x978.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-satellite-messaging-825x420.webp 825w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Huawei was one of the first brands to adopt satellite messaging on its consumer smartphones, and the Pura 80 series evolves this capability further. The Pura 80 and Pura 80 Pro support two-way Beidou satellite messaging, allowing not just text but also photo transmission.</p>

<p>The Pro+ goes a step further with dual satellite system support (Beidou + Tiantong), enabling more consistent satellite lock-on and improved reliability during emergencies. Users no longer need to manually align the phone for transmission, the system intelligently manages satellite selection and connectivity.</p>

<h3><strong>Software smarts and AI integration</strong></h3>

<p>All Pura 80 models run HarmonyOS 5.1 and include Huawei’s Xiaoyi AI assistant. Huawei is pushing more AI-driven features this year, such as AI anti-peeping alerts, AI-based file transfer (AI Teleportation), and AI noise reduction for calls.</p>

<p>The Ark Engine, a new optimization framework in the Pro and Ultra models, is claimed to deliver up to 36% better performance than the previous generation, though Huawei has not disclosed the exact chipset in use. Expect these phones to run on updated in-house Kirin silicon or possibly new SMIC-manufactured 7nm or 5nm chips.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing and availability</strong></h3>

<p>Huawei has already begun taking orders for the Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ in China, with the Ultra launching slightly later. The base Pura 80 will be available in July.</p>

<p>Here is a quick breakdown of pricing:</p>

<p><strong>Pura 80 Pro:</strong></p>

<ul><li>12GB + 256GB: 6499 yuan ($903)</li><li>12GB + 512GB: 6999 yuan ($972)</li><li>12GB + 1TB: 7999 yuan (~$1111)</li></ul>

<p><strong>Pura 80 Pro+:</strong></p>

<ul><li>16GB + 512GB: 7999 yuan ($1111)</li><li>16GB + 1TB: 8999 yuan ($1251)</li></ul>

<p><strong>Pura 80 Ultra:</strong></p>

<ul><li>16GB + 512GB: 9999 yuan ($1390)</li><li>16GB + 1TB: 10999 yuan ($1529)</li></ul>

<p>At these prices, Huawei is clearly targeting the premium Android market, competing against the likes of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-15-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 15 Ultra</a>.</p>

<h3><strong>Final thoughts</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="501" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1024x501.webp?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Ultra" class="wp-image-691482" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1024x501.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-300x147.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-768x376.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1536x752.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-2048x1003.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-696x341.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1068x523.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-1920x940.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-858x420.webp 858w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-324x160.webp 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Ultra-533x261.webp 533w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Pura 80 series demonstrates that Huawei still sees imaging innovation as its key differentiator in a crowded smartphone market. The introduction of dual-focal-length telephoto on the Ultra model, along with continued use of 1-inch sensors and big batteries, makes the Pura 80 lineup a compelling option for mobile photographers and tech enthusiasts alike.</p>

<p>That said, the absence of any mention of 5G support or global availability remains a limitation for now, as these phones are likely to remain China-first products unless Huawei can overcome ongoing geopolitical restrictions.</p>

<p>Still, even in this limited scope, the Pura 80 series shows that Huawei is far from done reinventing the smartphone camera experience, and it will be fascinating to see how other brands respond in the coming months.</p>

These are also premium devices with cutting edge camera hardware and sleek designs. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>Huawei Pura 80 Pro Series</h2>

<p>The new Pura 80 Pro series doesn&#8217;t skip out on the 1-inch camera sensor. Both models pack a 50MP 1-inch RYYB primary sensor that has a f/1.6-4 variable aperture and OIS support, along with a 40MP ultra wide angle lens, a 48MP RYYB periscope telephoto shooter with 4x optical zoom and OIS support, and a multispectral sensor. For selfies and video calls, the front houses a 13MP shooter.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="815" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-1024x815.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro Series" class="wp-image-691378" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-1024x815.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-300x239.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-768x611.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-696x554.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-1068x850.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series-528x420.png 528w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-series.png 1256w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Pro series</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Pro variants sport a taller 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, P3 wide color gamut, and 2nd gen Kunlun Glass (2nd Gen basalt tempered on the Pura 80 Pro+) for protection. Huawei&#8217;s entire Pura 80 lineup is equipped with the Kirin 9020 SoC. The regular Pro variant couples this with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Meanwhile, the Pura 80 Pro+ upgrades the RAM to 16GB with up to 1TB of storage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="507" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1024x507.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro Plus reservations" class="wp-image-690184" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1024x507.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-300x149.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-768x380.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-696x345.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1068x529.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-848x420.jpg 848w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>A large 5,700mAh battery pack powers both variants, which support 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless fast charging, and 18W reverse wired and wireless charging. Other notable features include two-way Beidou satellite messaging, side mounted fingerprint scanners, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, WiFi 7, and Huawei Histen sound on the dual stereo speaker system.</p>

<h2>Huawei Pura 80</h2>

<p>The base variant doesn&#8217;t come with a 1-inch sensor, but still includes a 50MP main camera with f/1.6-4 variable aperture and OIS support. This camera is paired with a 13MP ultra wide angle lens, a 12MP periscope telephoto shooter with 5.5x optical zoom, and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor. The front retains the 13MP selfie shooter.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="525" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80" class="wp-image-691397" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-300x154.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-768x394.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-696x357.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-819x420.jpg 819w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>You get a smaller 6.6-inch flat LTPO OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass, and 3000 nits of peak brightness. Despite the smaller form factor, it still houses a sizeable 5,600mAh battery pack with 66W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. Other notable features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers, Beidou satellite messaging, and NFC.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/">Huawei</a> is set to launch its flagship Pura 80 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/huawei-pura-80-series-launch-june-11/#:~:text=Huawei%20Pura%2080%20series%20to,in%20mobile%20imaging%20expected%20%2D%20Gizmochina">on June 11</a> and has been teasing it as a camera powerhouse. Now prolific leaker Digital Char Station has revealed some more interesting information about the Pro and Pro+ models&#8217; build and design.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="507" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1024x507.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro Plus reservations" class="wp-image-690184" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1024x507.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-300x149.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-768x380.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-696x345.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1068x529.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-848x420.jpg 848w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Alleged Huawei Pura 80 Ultra in the hands of a company executive</figcaption></figure>

<p>According to DCS, the Pura 80 Pro+ will feature a slightly curved display paired with a curved metal middle frame. This design should offer a more comfortable grip compared to rivals that use a completely flat display and frame.</p>

<p>The display includes a single punch-hole selfie camera smack in the center, which might mean Huawei’s ditching its fancy 3D facial recognition tech for another year. The Pura 80 Pro could sport a similar vibe, though only the Ultra’s rumored to get a slick tandem OLED panel.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="930" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-1024x930.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-691047" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-1024x930.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-300x272.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-768x697.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-696x632.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-1068x970.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv-463x420.jpg 463w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/006BlblIgy1i28zwbho59j30vo0srwiv.jpg 1140w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Now, the cameras? They’re stealing the show. Tipster Digital Chat Station says both the Pro and Pro+ might rock Huawei’s new 1-inch 50MP main sensor, paired with a 24mm variable aperture lens—a step up from the 25mm in the Pura 70 Pro+. Plus, there’s talk of a periscope zoom lens, now at 89mm instead of 93mm.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="591" height="180" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-10-165321.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-691045" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-10-165321.png 591w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-10-165321-300x91.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 591px) 100vw, 591px" /></figure></div>

<p>Interestingly, it&#8217;s said to be equivalent to 3.7x optical zoom compared to the 3.5x in the Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Pro+. The brand has already <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/huawei-pura-80-teasers-promise-a-photography-powerhouse/">hinted</a> at a 2x (48mm) and 3.7x (89mm) telephoto setup, and is rumored to equip the series with a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei </a>is opening up reservations for its upcoming Pura 80 series, ahead of an official unveiling <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/huawei-pura-80-series-launch-june-11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">set for June 11 </a>in China. The pre-launch routine follows a familiar playbook for the company, which often invites early interest before pulling the curtain back on its new devices.</p>

<p>Starting today, Huawei’s VMall store has begun accepting <a href="https://www.vmall.com/product/comdetail/index.html?prdId=10086153236238&amp;sbomCode=2601010565801" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">pre-reservations</a> for the Pura 80 Pro and the Pura 80 Pro+. These are two of the four expected models in the lineup. As of this writing, the pair has already attracted over 34,000 combined reservations.</p>

<h2><strong>Pura 80 retains Huawei’s iconic camera design</strong></h2>

<p>The pre-reservation listing may also offer an early glimpse at one of the phones. A promotional image shows what appears to be the Pura 80 in a pleasing red finish. The camera module retains the iconic triangular design, complete with the company&#8217;s XMAGE imaging branding. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="507" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1024x507.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro Plus reservations" class="wp-image-690184" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1024x507.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-300x149.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-768x380.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-696x345.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-1068x529.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-848x420.jpg 848w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-and-Pro-Plus-reservations.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The broader Pura 80 lineup is rumored to include four models: the base Pura 80, the Pro, the Pro+, and an Ultra version. According to reporting from <em><a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/1051/1051855.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MyDrivers</a></em>, the vanilla Pura 80 and top-tier Ultra may not arrive alongside the others and could be saved for a later launch.</p>

<p>Details on the Pura 80 Pro+ have started to emerge through leaks. Tipster <em><a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/Pv5JltlXC?pagetype=profilefeed" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Digital Chat Station </a></em>claims the device will feature a 50MP triple-camera setup with a large sensor, along with a multispectral sensor.  </p>

<p>The device also features a curved metal frame and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The entire Pura 80 series will debut with HarmonyOS 5 out of the box, making it the first flat-flagship line-up to do so. Since its unveiling in March, HarmonyOS 5 has received iterative updates focused on improved security, fluidity, and ecosystem integration.</p>

<p>There’s still a lot that Huawei hasn’t confirmed. But we don’t have to wait much as the launch is just a week away.</p>

<p>Huawei is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/huawei-pura-80-series-launch-june-11/">preparing to unveil</a> its highly anticipated Pura 80 series smartphones on June 11th. Building upon the foundation of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?post_type=aps-products&amp;s=Huawei+Pura+70">Pura 70 series</a>, which launched in April 2024, the new lineup promises to bring significant advancements and upgrades.</p>

<p>Recent leaks have fueled anticipation among tech enthusiasts, painting a picture of what&#8217;s to come. The Pura 80 series is said to feature a more powerful chip and will debut with the new HarmonyOS 5. Enhancements are also expected in the camera system, alongside a tweaked design, signaling Huawei&#8217;s continued focus on mobile imaging and user experience.</p>

<p>Without further ado, let&#8217;s dive into a roundup of what we know so far about the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?post_type=aps-products&amp;s=Huawei+Pura+80">Huawei Pura 80 series</a>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Pura-80-Ultra-look.jpg?x44794" alt="Alleged Huawei Pura 80 Ultra" class="wp-image-689555" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Pura-80-Ultra-look.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Pura-80-Ultra-look-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Pura-80-Ultra-look-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Pura-80-Ultra-look-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Pura-80-Ultra-look-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Alleged Huawei Pura 80 Ultra in the hands of a company executive</figcaption></figure>

<h3><strong>Familiar Form, Enhanced Prominence</strong></h3>

<p>As per recent leaks and official teasers, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/">Huawei Pura 80</a> series will arrive with a slightly tweaked design, evolving the aesthetic seen in its predecessor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The phones are expected to retain the distinctive rounded triangular (or shield-like) camera module from the Pura 70 series. However, this signature element will likely be even more of a focal point, as indications suggest the module will be bigger and therefore more prominent on the new devices.</p>

<p>Leaked images, particularly those purported to be of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/">Pura 80 Ultra</a>, appear to confirm these design adjustments. This enlarged camera housing isn&#8217;t just for visual emphasis; the module is expected to include an advanced camera array, with some reports suggesting it could house two periscope telephoto shooters.</p>

<h3><strong>Powered by Kirin 9020 and HarmonyOS 5</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/09/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-kirin-9020-chip/">HiSilicon Kirin 9020 chip</a> will power the Huawei Pura 80 series. Although it shares the 7nm SMIC manufacturing process with the Kirin 9010, the 9020 delivers key upgrades. Its CPU offers a faster main TaiShan V121 core at 2.5 GHz, incorporates different Taishan-Little efficiency cores, and the newer Maleoon 920 GPU is clocked higher at 840 MHz.</p>

<p>The Kirin 9020 also brings faster LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage, and a significant leap in connectivity with the newer Balong 6000 modem<strong>, </strong>Wi-Fi 7<strong>, </strong>and Bluetooth 5.4. AI tasks continue to be handled by Huawei&#8217;s Da Vinci NPU architecture.</p>

<p>On the software front, the Pura 80 series will run the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/27/how-harmonyos-next-is-different-from-android/">HarmonyOS 5</a>. This latest version of Huawei&#8217;s operating system brings substantial advancements, with a core focus on deep AI integration throughout the user experience, leveraging technologies like Huawei&#8217;s Pangu large language model.&nbsp;</p>

<p>HarmonyOS 5 delivers improved system fluency, refined UI aesthetics, more seamless cross-device collaboration, and a mature, independent app ecosystem, built upon the &#8220;HarmonyOS NEXT&#8221; architecture.</p>

<h3><strong>Self-developed Camera Sensor</strong></h3>

<p>Recent leaks, largely from tipster Digital Chat Station, point to significant camera advancements in the Huawei Pura 80 series. The Pura 80 Pro is now tipped to feature a brand new 1-inch, 50MP main sensor, potentially a Huawei-developed <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/27/huawei-pura-80-pro-smartsens-1-inch-camera/">&#8220;SmartSens&#8221; (possibly SC5A0CS)</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pura 80 Ultra is also expected to boast a 1-inch, 50MP main sensor, with reports suggesting Huawei is experimenting with an RYYB color filter array for it, as well as for its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/11/both-1-main-and-1-1-31-periscope-telephoto-of-huawei-pura-80-ultra-to-use-ryyb-configuration-claims-dcs/">1/1.31″ periscope telephoto lens</a>. RYYB technology is known for boosting low-light performance by capturing more light. While this can present color accuracy challenges, Huawei has experience mitigating these, as seen in previous models like the Pura 70 Ultra.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the entire Pura 80 series is said to come equipped with variable aperture on the main sensors, offering greater control over light and depth of field.</p>

<h3><strong>Models Anticipated</strong></h3>

<p>The upcoming Huawei Pura 80 lineup will include the following devices.</p>

<ul><li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/">Huawei Pura 80</a></li><li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-pro/">Huawei Pura 80 Pro</a></li><li>Huawei Pura 80 Pro Plus</li><li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/">Huawei Pura 80 Ultra</a></li></ul>

<p>The official launch is set for June 11 at 2:30 PM GMT+8. The event will be live-streamed on Huawei’s social channels.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei">Huawei</a> has officially announced that the Huawei Pura 80 series and a suite of smart products will be launched at 2:30 PM (local time) on 11 June in China. The tagline, “See beyond with foresight”, underlines the series&#8217; focus on advanced mobile imaging.</p>

<h3><strong>Huawei Pura 80 series teaser confirms imaging-focused design</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="600" height="900" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-series-launch-date.png?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 series launch date" class="wp-image-689803" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-series-launch-date.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-series-launch-date-200x300.png 200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Huawei-Pura-80-series-launch-date-280x420.png 280w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 series launch date</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The launch teaser prominently displays two camera lenses, reinforcing expectations that Huawei will be taking a bold step forward in smartphone photography. The elliptical shapes have led to speculation that both may be periscope-style telephoto lenses — a design shift that aligns with earlier leaks hinting at a dual-periscope zoom system, possibly reserved for the Ultra model.</p>

<p>This wouldn&#8217;t be Huawei’s first venture into dual telephoto territory, as the P40 Pro+ introduced the concept years ago. However, a dual-periscope setup at this level could reaffirm Huawei’s commitment to cutting-edge imaging, not just for zoom, but for overall optical performance.</p>

<p>According to reports, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/">Huawei Pura 80 Ultra</a> will debut a custom 1-inch LOFIC CMOS sensor <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/27/huawei-pura-80-pro-smartsens-1-inch-camera/">developed by SmartSens (model SC5A0CS)</a>. This sensor will utilise Huawei’s RYYB pixel arrangement, known for improving low-light sensitivity, and represents a major leap in mobile sensor technology. LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology enhances dynamic range and low-light performance at the hardware level, signalling Huawei’s ambition to set a new imaging benchmark.</p>

<p>Additionally, the Ultra model is said to feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/11/both-1-main-and-1-1-31-periscope-telephoto-of-huawei-pura-80-ultra-to-use-ryyb-configuration-claims-dcs/">a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch periscope telephoto lens</a> — one of the largest in the market — outpacing Samsung’s HP9 sensor in size. This combination could make the Pura 80 Ultra a photography powerhouse in both wide and zoom shots.</p>

<p>While the Ultra will lead the charge, the rest of the Pura 80 series — including the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/">Pura 80,</a> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-pro/">Pura 80 Pro</a>, and Pura 80 Pro+ — are expected to benefit from significant upgrades. All four models may feature Huawei’s latest Maple Original Colour Imaging technology (possibly updated to version 2.0), improving colour accuracy and visual fidelity through advanced calibration algorithms.</p>

<p>Huawei is also expected to drop the retractable lens design this time, focusing instead on a more compact multi-camera module that can house four sensors within a triangular or concentric layout, depending on the model.</p>

<p>The entire Pura 80 series will debut with HarmonyOS 5 out of the box, making it the first flat-flagship line-up to do so. Since its unveiling in March, HarmonyOS 5 has received iterative updates focused on improved security, fluidity, and ecosystem integration. Paired with the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/kirin-9020">Kirin 9020</a> processor, the Pura 80 series is expected to offer a refined, high-performance user experience.</p>

<h2>Huawei Pura 80 Pro is bringing a huge primary camera sensor</h2>

<p>The latest leak arrives from known tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the information on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). In the online post, he claims that the upcoming Huawei Pura 80 Pro will feature a brand new 1-inch main camera, which might be part of a new line called SmartSens. This camera will have a 50MP resolution and will reportedly offer top-of-the-line photography experience. </p>

<p>DCS adds that the sensor could carry the SC5A0CS moniker and might be developed by Huawei. In other words, it won&#8217;t be using third party image sensor makers like Sony or OmniVision. The company has experience in imaging technology, so SmartSens could be a direct competitor that it might offer to other Chinese brands. Notably, this is in stark contrast to Digital Chat Station&#8217;s previous leak, where he claimed that the Pura 80 Pro would employ a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/20/huawei-pura-p8-pro-leak-reveals-a-6-78-inch-flat-display-1-inch-sony-imx989-50mp-camera-sensor/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">1-inch Sony IMX989 50MP main camera</a>.</p>

<p>Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report at the moment, so take this news with a pinch of salt. Based on what we know so far, the Pura 80 Pro may sport a tall 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and high refresh rate. This model will likely run on the latest HarmonyOS iteration. The 50MP main 1-inch camera could also be paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter and a 50MP ultra wide angle lens. All three sensors will reportedly use a custom RYYB color filter for improved low light photography.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a> just wrapped up a major launch event in China, unveiling the Nova 14 series and its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/19/huawei-launches-matebook-fold-ultimate-design-its-first-foldable-laptop/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first foldable PC</a>. But the spotlight may soon shift to the company’s next big release: the Pura 80 series.</p>

<p>According to multiple leaks, the lineup will likely include three models — the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Pro</a>, and a top-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-pura-80-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pura 80 Ultra</a>. Among the three, the Pro model is now said to feature a custom image sensor developed by Huawei itself.</p>

<h2><strong>Huawei Pura 80 Pro to use custom SmartSens sensor</strong></h2>

<p>A new report from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claims the Pura 80 Pro will feature a custom image sensor developed by Huawei. Specifically, it may use the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/07/huawei-is-quietly-building-its-own-image-sensors-for-future-phones/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">SmartSens SC5A0CS</a>, a 50-megapixel, 1-inch RYYB sensor. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="264" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-Camera-Sensor.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Pura 80 Pro with custom SmartSens SC5A0CS 50MP 1-inch sensor " class="wp-image-688536" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-Camera-Sensor.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-Camera-Sensor-300x88.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-Camera-Sensor-768x225.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Huawei-Pura-80-Pro-Camera-Sensor-696x204.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>This is in contrast with the tipster’s earlier claim. DCS previously hinted that the Pura 80 Pro would come with a Sony IMX989 sensor. And seems like Huawei was indeed<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/20/huawei-pura-p8-pro-leak-reveals-a-6-78-inch-flat-display-1-inch-sony-imx989-50mp-camera-sensor/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> testing the Sony sensor in the engineering machine of the Pura 80 Pro</a> a couple of months ago. But DCS says the company has changed the course while finalizing the hardware.</p>

<p>If Huawei has only swapped out the main sensor, the rest of the rear camera setup may remain unchanged from previous leaks. It is said to have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto macro camera. And reportedly, all three sensors will use a custom RYYB color filter, which enhances low-light performance by increasing light intake by up to 40 percent.</p>

<p>Beyond the camera hardware, the Pura 80 Pro is also rumored to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and support for LTPO variable refresh rate.</p>

<p>The Huawei Pura 80 series is expected to launch sometime in the second quarter of this year.</p>

<p>Several reports have claimed that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei">Huawei</a> is working on the Pura 80 series of flagship phones for the Chinese market. Recently, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared details of an engineering prototype, which is believed to be the Huawei Pura 80 Pro. The leak reveals that it will feature a flat display and an advanced camera system.</p>

<h3><strong>Huawei Pura 80 Pro specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-101.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-677950" width="746" height="229" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-101.png 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-101-300x92.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-101-768x236.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-101-696x214.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 746px) 100vw, 746px" /><figcaption>Huawei Pura 80 Pro specs leak by DCS</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As per the leak, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is being tested with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, featuring a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/16/huawei-pura-80-leak-camera-display-specs/">2.5D flat design</a> and ultra-thin bezels. This marks a shift from curved screens in the previous generation. The device is expected to ship with HarmonyOS Next.</p>

<p>The leaker further states that the Pura 80 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 main sensor with a variable aperture. If true, this would make the Pura 80 Pro one of the few Pro-tier devices to retain a 1-inch sensor, as most brands reserve such features for Ultra models.</p>

<p>The main snapper will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto macro camera. All three sensors will reportedly use a custom RYYB color filter, which enhances low-light performance by increasing light intake by up to 40 percent. </p>

<p>DCS revealed that the Huawei Pura 80 series could launch in the second quarter of this year. While he mentioned the specs of the Pura 80 Pro&#8217;s engineering prototype, he also stated that they have not been finalized.</p>

<p>In related news, Huawei will hold a launch event today (March 20) to unveil a new foldable phone with an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/17/huaweis-upcoming-pura-foldable-phone-to-sport-new-form-factor-with-an-unconventional-1610-screen-ratio/">unconventional screen aspect ratio of 16:10</a>. While the device’s name is under wraps, it is expected to be the first device to come preloaded with the HarmonyOS Next.</p>
