<p>Samsung is also targeting a wider audience with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</a>. It retains the core flip experience while dialing back some premium specs to lower the entry price. The main 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen supports 120Hz refresh, while the 3.4-inch cover screen handles notifications and quick tasks.</p>

<p>The Z Flip 7 FE runs on the Exynos 2400 processor with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The battery capacity is slightly smaller at 4000mAh, but it still supports fast charging and wireless power sharing. The IP48 rating is retained for water resistance.</p>

<p>The camera system is similar to the flagship model, with a 50MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide rear camera setup. It includes AI camera tools and Flex Mode features for hands-free photography. The phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8 and includes most of the Galaxy AI tools found in the regular Flip 7.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE starts at $899.99/Rs. 89,999 and comes in Black and White color options. It provides an affordable way into Samsung’s foldable ecosystem without sacrificing core functionality.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/infinix/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infinix</a> entered the flip market with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/infinix-zero-flip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zero Flip</a> last year, delivering a surprisingly capable device for Rs. 49,999. It uses a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display inside and a 3.64-inch outer display with app widgets and animated pet characters. The hinge is rated for 400,000 folds.</p>

<p>The device is powered by the Dimensity 8020 SoC and comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It has a 4720mAh battery with support for 70W wired charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP dual rear camera and a 32MP front camera, with 4K video recording supported on all sensors.</p>

<p>The Zero Flip features AI vlogging tools and a DV-style grip when folded. It runs on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14, offering customization options. Infinix promises two years of OS updates and three years of security patches. Considering its price, the Zero Flip stands out as an impressive entry-level foldable.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo V40 Pro vs Infinix Zero Flip" class="wp-image-656051" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-V40-Pro-vs-Infinix-Zero-Flip.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Vivo V40 Pro vs Infinix Zero Flip</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3>Reasons to Pick the Infinix Zero Flip</h3>

<p>Infinix is shaking up the foldable smartphone segment by launching the Zero Flip for just Rs 49,999. This is half of what the Galaxy Z Flip 6 costs in India. Of course, there are some compromises when launching a flip phone for this price, like the mid range MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC. Most flip phones are premium devices that pack top end processors, so the Infinix Zero Flip is an outlier. But you don&#8217;t always need the best chipset or performance.</p>

<p>The design and display of this phone are also pretty impressive for its price. It has a 3.64-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1100 nits of peak brightness. This is better than Samsung&#8217;s Z Flip 6 in some ways. The main screen is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1400 nits of peak brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. </p>

<p>For optics, there is a 50MP (Main) + 50MP (Ultrawide) dual camera setup on the rear, while the front houses a 50MP selfie camera. Infinix has even advertised it as a vlogging phone, capable of recording 4K 60fps video recording from the front and back cameras. It also has a sizeable 4,720mAh battery pack with 70W wired fast charging. All of this makes it a great package for those looking to experience a flip phone without burning a hole in your wallet. You get capable hardware in an accessible foldable phone, which is what many have been waiting for. So how does the Vivo V40 Pro compare?</p>

<h3>Reasons to Pick the Vivo V40 Pro</h3>

<p>The Vivo V40 series launched as the first V series smartphones to be a part of from the brand&#8217;s collaboration with Zeiss. Vivo&#8217;s recent mid range lineup features great specs but the cameras are its key selling point. For optics, the Vivo V40 Pro features Zeiss lenses for the 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom. The rear also has a smart Aura Light. Meanwhile, the front houses a 50MP shooter for selfies and video calls.</p>

<p>This smartphone has received praise for its cameras, having one of the best photography experiences at this price. However, it isn&#8217;t simply a one trick pony. The Vivo V40 Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which is a high end chipset. So you get impressive performance with a massive 5,500mAh battery pack. The front house is a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, DHR10+, 4500 nits of peak brightness, and FHD+ resolution.</p>

<p>So if you have to pick between the Zero Flip and V40 Pro, Vivo&#8217;s offering promises a solid overall experience with great cameras. Many still don&#8217;t see the appeal of a foldable phone, so the V40 Pro is easily recommendable for photography enthusiasts who also need a little more horsepower under the hood.</p>

If you are considering buying a flip phone and are on a budget, these options may catch your interest. This article will compare the two models to help you decide which one suits your needs better.</p>

<h2><strong>Design and Display</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="795" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Infinix-Zero-Flip-5G.jpg?x44794" alt="Infinix Zero Flip 5G" class="wp-image-655575" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Infinix-Zero-Flip-5G.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Infinix-Zero-Flip-5G-300x265.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Infinix-Zero-Flip-5G-768x678.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Infinix-Zero-Flip-5G-696x615.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Infinix-Zero-Flip-5G-475x420.jpg 475w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Infinix Zero Flip 5G</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Both phones sport a similar clamshell design with a large foldable inner screen and a smaller cover display. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-razr-50/">Razr 50</a> has a slightly larger 3.6-inch cover screen compared to the Zero Flip&#8217;s 3.64-inch one. However, the Zero Flip&#8217;s cover screen supports over 100 apps, offering greater functionality. Both phones feature a durable Gorilla Glass Victus display on the outside.</p>

<p>When unfolded, the Razr 50 offers a 6.9-inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED panel, while the Zero Flip has a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen. Both deliver vibrant colors and smooth visuals, making them ideal for media consumption and gaming.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Razr 50 is powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-7300X">MediaTek Dimensity 7300X</a>, while the Zero Flip packs the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-8020">Dimensity 8020</a>. Even though the 6nm Dimensity 8020 is an 8000-series chip that appears to be better, the 4nm Dimensity 7300X is a newer and more powerful chip. Both chipsets offer capable performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming. The Razr 50 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Zero Flip offers 8GB of RAM and a more generous 512GB of storage. Both support virtual RAM expansion for enhanced multitasking. E&nbsp;</p>

<p>Software-wise, the Razr 50 runs on Android 14 with Motorola&#8217;s My UX, known for its clean and near-stock Android experience. The Zero Flip also runs on Android 14 but with Infinix&#8217;s XOS 14.5 skin on top. While XOS offers extra features and customization options, it might not be to everyone&#8217;s taste. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The camera setup is where these two phones significantly differ. The Razr 50 features a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens that doubles as a macro camera, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/infinix-zero-flip/">Zero Flip</a>, on the other hand, features a triple camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor (Samsung GN5) with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera (Samsung JN1) with autofocus. <p>The new flagship smartphone season is upon us. With the introduction of the iPhone 16 lineup, Android brands are now gearing up to debut their premium phones.</p>

<p>The first of which will be unveiled as early as next week from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Vivo/">Vivo</a>. These won’t be the only handsets arriving in the next few days.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Honor/">Honor</a> will take wraps off its latest mid-rangers. Whereas, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Realme/">Realme</a> will announce yet another budget model. Finally, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Infinix/">Infinix</a> will bring its first-ever foldable to India.</p>

<p>Let’s check out all these devices one by one.</p>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones Next Week</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Vivo X200 Series</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo X200 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/08/vivo-x200-x200-pro-x200-pro-mini-to-launch-on-october-14-with-dimensity-9400-top-notch-cameras/">will be made official</a> in China on October 14 (Monday). The lineup will include three devices, namely Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro Mini.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="575" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-1024x575.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X200 Pro" class="wp-image-653970" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-768x431.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-1536x862.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-1068x600.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-1920x1078.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image-748x420.jpg 748w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Vivo-X200-Pro-image.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>These phones will be the first to feature MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. They will be also the first to ship with Android 15 out of the box. Unsurprisingly, they will sport Zeiss optics like their predecessors.</p>

<p>The three of them will come with a flat frame and a circular camera module. The Pro models will sport a new Sony LYT-818 50MP main camera. The mini will be thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro and will yet pack a larger 5,700mAh battery.</p>

<p>As for pricing, the X200 series is tipped to start at ¥3,999 and go all the way up to ¥6,199.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme P1 Speed</strong></h3>

<p>The Realme P1 Speed is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/09/realme-p1-speed-5g-launch-india-oct-15/">set to launch</a> in India on October 15 (Tuesday). It will be the third model in the P1 series after P1 and P1 Pro.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Realme-P1-Speed-5G.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme P1 Speed 5G" class="wp-image-654361" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Realme-P1-Speed-5G.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Realme-P1-Speed-5G-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Realme-P1-Speed-5G-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Realme-P1-Speed-5G-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Realme-P1-Speed-5G-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The handset will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. The chipset will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.</p>

<p>Further, the device will come with a 120Hz OLED display, a 50MP main camera, and an IP65 rating. It will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Honor X60 Series</strong></h3>

<p>The Honor X60 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/08/honor-x60-series-set-to-launch-on-october-16/">will be announced</a> in China on October 16 (Wednesday). There will be two devices, namely Honor X60 and Honor X60 Pro.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="911" height="700" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image.png?x44794" alt="Honor X60" class="wp-image-654315" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image.png 911w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image-300x231.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image-768x590.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image-696x535.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image-547x420.png 547w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Honor-X60-official-image-80x60.png 80w" sizes="(max-width: 911px) 100vw, 911px" /></figure>

<p>Both phones will feature an identical design. However, there will be a difference in their specs. Also, only the top-end variant of X60 Pro will support satellite-based messaging service.</p>

<p>The vanilla X60 will house a 5,800mAh battery with support for 35W charging. While the X60 Pro will be equipped with a much larger 6,600mAh battery and will support 66W charging.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, both of them will come with less powerful chips. They are said to arrive with MediaTek Dimensity 7025 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile platforms.</p>

<h3><strong>Infinix Zero Flip</strong></h3>

<p>The Infinix Zero Flip <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/05/infinix-zero-flip-indian-launch-date-confirmed/">will debut</a> in India on October 17 (Thursday). For the unaware, it is the brand’s first-ever foldable phone that was unveiled globally last month.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image.jpg?x44794" alt="Infinix Zero Flip image" class="wp-image-650425" width="894" height="537" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image.jpg 894w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-300x180.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-768x461.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-696x418.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-699x420.jpg 699w" sizes="(max-width: 894px) 100vw, 894px" /></figure>

<p>Infinix just unveiled its first-ever foldable smartphone called <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/27/infinix-zero-flip-launched-specifications-price/">Infinix Zero Flip</a>. The company’s first product in the category is a clamshell, which is commonly known as a flip phone.</p>

<p>These vertically folding handsets are less complex than their bigger horizontally folding phones called Fold. Thus, they are priced lower and are bestsellers across the globe.</p>

<p>In 2024, many smaller brands (mostly Chinese) entered the foldable segment by releasing affordable flip phones. Infinix is the latest to join the bandwagon.</p>

<p>For the uninitiated, Infinix is part of Transsion, a holding company that owns Tecno and Itel.</p>

<p>Thus, it is not surprising to learn that the Infinix Zero Flip is eerily similar to the recently released <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/14/tecno-phantom-v-flip2-5g-launched/">Tecno Phantom V Flip 2</a>. Despite being almost identical, there’s a $100 price between them.</p>

<p>So which one should you get?&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Availability in Your Region</strong></h3>

<p>Infinix and Tecno are predominantly present in African and Asian nations. So it will be easy for anyone residing in these countries to get their hands on Zero Flip and Phantom V Flip 2.</p>

<p>However, these premium devices will likely be available in a limited fashion, like the first-gen foldables from Tecno. Hence, they may not be sold in some countries though the brands have a presence in the region.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Tecno PHANTOM V Flip 2" class="wp-image-650191" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Tecno-PHANTOM-V-Flip-2.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Tecno Phantom V2 Flip</figcaption></figure>

<p>For now, we know that the Infinix Zero Flip costs NGN 1,065,000 (~$640) for 8GB + 512GB in Nigeria. The brand announced that the device is priced at $599 globally. The international price is usually an average cost of the product across all the countries.</p>

<p>On the other hand, despite boasting a lesser 256GB storage, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 is costlier at $699. As of writing this story, we don’t have access to any local pricing. Given the $100 surge in global pricing, it will be likely costlier in most regions.</p>

<p>It is worth noting that Tecno is the most premium brand of Transsion. It is followed by Infinix and Itel in terms of hierarchy. So it makes sense why Tecno is charging more.</p>

<p>At present, we do not know if both phones will be available in the same countries. If Transsion goes the Oppo way, it will be easy for consumers to choose. For the unaware, Oppo is selling its current-gen flagship foldable as Find N3 in some markets and OnePlus Open in others.</p>

<h3><strong>Your Choice of Color and Software</strong></h3>

<p>Though the core product is about the same, there are some differences between the Infinix Zero Flip and Tecno Phantom V Flip 2.</p>

<p>These devices sport different colors. The Tecno version of the phone comes in Moondust Grey and Travertine Green. While the Infinix variant arrives in Rock Black and Blossom Glow.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="970" height="647" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-Blossom-Glow.jpg?x44794" alt="Infinix Zero Flip Blossom Glow" class="wp-image-652577" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-Blossom-Glow.jpg 970w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-Blossom-Glow-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-Blossom-Glow-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-Blossom-Glow-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-Blossom-Glow-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px" /><figcaption>Infinix Zero Flip</figcaption></figure>

<p>Further, both ship with different software as well. The base OS is Android 14 but the skin is XOS14.5 on Infinix and HiOS 14 on Tecno.</p>

<p>Additionally, the after-sales experience may vary depending on your country.</p>

<p>Therefore, even if both handsets become available in your region officially, you can choose based on your color, software, and after-sales preferences.</p>

<p>These factors are also applicable to someone looking to import either of these smartphones to a country where neither of these brands has an official presence.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/infinix/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infinix</a> has teased the launch of its first flip phone, the Zero Flip, but hasn&#8217;t announced a release date yet. However, leaks have been trickling details about it every now and then. In the most reliable leak so far, tipster Paras Guglani has <a href="https://x.com/passionategeekz/status/1837198883316752629" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">revealed</a> the phone&#8217;s key specs.</p>

<p>According to the leak, the phone will feature a 3.6-inch AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Flipping it open will reveal a 6.9-inch AMOLED panel with 1080 x 2640 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and also support for LTPO technology.</p>

<p>Unfolded, the Zero Flip is shown to be slim at just 7.64mm thick. However, in its folded state, it will not be as slim of a device as it measures 16.04mm—about 4mm thicker than the Samsung Z Fold 6.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

<p>The extra thickness allows to accommodate a larger battery, though. The Infinix Zero Flip is revealed to house a 4720mAh cell. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Software-wise, it will run XOS 14.5 based on Android 14.</p>

<p>For cameras, the phone will feature a 50MP main lens and a 50MP ultrawide lens on the cover screen. There&#8217;s also a 50MP selfie camera on the main display. Colors for the Zero Flip include a Rock Black and a Blossom Glow (more like Pink) option.&nbsp; When it comes to connectivity, it will include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB-C port.</p>

<p>Although this leak doesn’t confirm it, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/17/infinix-zero-flip-full-specifications-leaked-before-official-announcement/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">previous ones</a> suggest the Zero Flip 5G will also feature stereo speakers, dual high-quality microphones, and support for DTS, Hi-Res Audio, and TUV certification. <p>The foldable phone market is getting crowded, but that&#8217;s not necessarily a bad thing. While established players like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorola </a>continue to refine their offerings, new entrants like Tecno are shaking things up with innovative designs and competitive pricing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, Infinix is throwing its hat into the ring with the Zero Flip, its first foray into the foldable space. Although the company hasn&#8217;t revealed much officially,<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/16/infinix-zero-flip-officially-teased-leaked-image-reveals-complete-design-colors-key-features/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> leaks</a> give us a good idea of what to expect. So, should you look forward to Infinix&#8217;s foldable debut?&nbsp; Let&#8217;s delve into the specs and see if the Zero Flip lives up to the hype (or lack thereof).</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="894" height="537" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image.jpg?x44794" alt="Infinix Zero Flip image" class="wp-image-650425" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image.jpg 894w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-300x180.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-768x461.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-696x418.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-image-699x420.jpg 699w" sizes="(max-width: 894px) 100vw, 894px" /><figcaption>Infinix Zero Flip image</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3><strong>A Familiar Fold</strong></h3>

<p>From the leaks, we know that the Infinix Zero Flip has a design that borrows heavily from the likes of the newer Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr. We&#8217;re looking at a large, foldable main display on the inside and a smaller cover display on the outside.</p>

<p>The cover screen is expected to be a 3.64-inch OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. That’s even a bigger screen than the one on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, which of course isn’t a bad thing. It should provide a more responsive experience for checking notifications or accessing quick features without unfolding the phone.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-819x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>A banner leak about the Zero Flip highlights a &#8220;zero-gap hinge&#8221; that supposedly minimizes the crease and reduces dust or debris build-up within the hinge itself. This remains to be seen, as similar claims from other brands haven&#8217;t always translated to perfect long-term durability in other foldables.</p>

<h3><strong>Big Screen, Mid-Range Power</strong></h3>

<p>When unfolded, the Zero Flip is said to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED main display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While it may not sound like the best screen feature-wise, it should still provide a solid viewing experience for everyday use.</p>

<p>However, the Zero Flip might fall short if you&#8217;re looking for flagship-level performance. Leaked specs suggest it will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor. It’s a capable mid-range chipset sufficient for most tasks, but it might not offer as good of an experience as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for more demanding activities like high-end gaming.</p>

<h3><strong>Camera System</strong></h3>

<p>The Zero Flip will feature a dual-camera setup on the back. The primary sensor will clock in at 50 megapixels paired with another 10.8MP camera.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-1024x579.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>On the front, the foldable will have a 12-megapixel selfie camera on the cover display for video calls and casual selfies. There’s no mention of a telephoto lens, but that’s a common emission for flip phones right now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Something that’s extra on the Infinix Zero Flip is that it will have a GoPro mode, allowing users to control their GoPro cameras. While the camera system appears basic and doesn&#8217;t stand out, its real-life performance will be the true test.</p>

<h3><strong>Battery and Other Specs</strong></h3>

<p>The Zero Flip is expected to come with a 4,590mAh battery, making it one of the largest in any flip phone, surpassing competitors like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. You will likely also get support for 70W fast charging, allowing for quick top-ups when needed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other leaked specs include stereo speakers, which is a plus for multimedia consumption. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 and 5G support, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Audiophiles will also appreciate the inclusion of DTS and Hi-Res Audio support.</p>

<h3><strong>The Price is Right&#8230;Maybe?</strong></h3>

<p>While there&#8217;s no official confirmation on pricing yet, but the Zero Flip will likely be an affordable foldable offering competing with the likes of Motorola Razr 50 rather than 50 Ultra or Galaxy Z Flip 6. It&#8217;s rumored to come in black and pink color options.</p>

<h3><strong>So, Should You Fold for the Zero Flip?</strong></h3>

<p>The Infinix Zero Flip brings a familiar foldable design with appealing features like a large high-refresh-rate display and fast charging. However, its mid-range processor and basic camera setup may not satisfy power users.</p>

<p>Ultimately, the Zero Flip&#8217;s success depends on its pricing. If Infinix can significantly undercut competitors, it could secure a safe spot in the budget-friendly foldable market. Otherwise, it may struggle to stand out in an increasingly competitive foldable space.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Here’s a quick recap of Infinix Zero Flip specifications based on rumors:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table is-style-stripes"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Feature</strong></td><td><strong>Specification</strong></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Internal Display</strong></td><td>6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate foldable screen</td></tr><tr><td><strong>External Display</strong></td><td>3.64-inch AMOLED 120Hz refresh screen with Gorilla Glass</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Processor</strong></td><td>MediaTek Dimensity 8020</td></tr><tr><td><strong>RAM</strong></td><td>8GB LPDDR4x</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Storage</strong></td><td>512GB UFS 3.1</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Battery</strong></td><td>4,590mAh</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Charging</strong></td><td>70W</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Front Camera</strong></td><td>12MP</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Rear Camera</strong></td><td>50MP + 10.8MP dual camera</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Video Recording</strong></td><td>4K 30fps (both front and rear), Go Pro camera features</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Audio Features</strong></td><td>Dual microphones, dual speakers with DTS, Hi-Res Audio</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Fingerprint Sensor</strong></td><td>Side-mounted</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Connectivity</strong></td><td>5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Operating System</strong></td><td>Android 14 with XOS 14.5</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/infinix">Infinix</a> Zero Flip is expected to launch globally soon. The brand has already started teasing its first clamshell-style foldable phone, which suggests that it may be officially unveiled by the end of this month. Recently, a Pakistani retailer shared a banner image revealing the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/16/infinix-zero-flip-officially-teased-leaked-image-reveals-complete-design-colors-key-features/">design, color options, and key features</a> of the Zero Flip. Now, a Vietnam-based retailer, <em>Queen Mobile, </em>has published the full specifications of the phone on social media. However, readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt, as its accuracy has not been confirmed.</p>

<p>Several reports have claimed that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/infinix">Infinix</a> is working on its first-ever flip phone, dubbed the Infinix Zero Flip. The brand has finally started teasing its arrival by releasing an image. Surprisingly, a Pakistani retailer named Chugtai Mobile released a Zero Flip banner image last month, which went completely unnoticed. The image not only revealed the complete design of the phone but also shed a few details about its key features.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Infinix Zero Flip’s first teaser released</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="819" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-819x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Infinix Zero Flip teaser" class="wp-image-650423" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-768x960.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-696x870.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-1068x1335.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser-336x420.jpg 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-teaser.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /><figcaption>Infinix Zero Flip teaser</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The official teaser mainly <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/04/infinix-working-on-first-foldable-smartphone/">confirms the Zero Flip moniker</a>, reveals the black variant and focuses on its hinge design. However, it does not reveal anything about the specifications of the device. The image below, released by <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=984293053493348&amp;set=a.540191921236799">Chugtai Mobile</a>, reveals that in addition to black, the device will also be available in a Violet Garden color, similar to the Infinix Zero 40 5G.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="579" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-1024x579.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-650424" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-1024x579.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-300x170.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-768x434.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-696x393.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-1068x603.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image-743x420.jpg 743w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Infinix-Zero-Flip-banner-image.jpg 1223w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Infinix Zero Flip image by Chugtai Mobile on Facebook</figcaption></figure>

<p>The above image confirms that the Infinix Zero Flip will have a 3.64-inch cover OLED panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass. The so-called “zero-gap hinge” will ensure minimal creases on the foldable display.</p>

<p>It will be a vlogging-focused device, allowing users to capture 4K video using the front and rear cameras. Like the Infinix Zero 40 5G, the Zero Flip will also come equipped with Go Pro features for an enhanced videography experience.</p>

<p>The Zero Flip appears to feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Its bottom edge has a SIM slot, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. The left edge appears to be barren, and the top edge seems to feature a secondary microphone. The Zero Flip&#8217;s overall design appears to be similar to the Phantom V Flip 2 from Tecno&#8217;s sibling brand.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/06/13/infinix-zero-flip-fcc-certification/">As per other reports</a>, the Infinix Zero Flip will measure 170 x 73.4 x 7.64mm in the unfolded state. It is likely to pack a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/12/infinix-zero-flip-5g-battery-size-revealed-via-certification-launch-imminent/">4,700mAh or 4,720mAh battery</a> with 70W rapid charging support. Under the hood, the Zero Flip could be equipped with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-8020">Dimensity 8020</a> chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.</p>

<p>Back in April of this year, it was reported that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/infinix">Infinix</a> was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/04/infinix-working-on-first-foldable-smartphone/">working on a flip phone</a> called the Infinix Zero Flip. At that time, the IMEI database identified the device with the model number X6962. It appears that the device is going to launch soon, as it has received approval from the FCC authority. The certification has revealed the device&#8217;s key specifications and design.</p>

<h3><strong>Infinix Zero Flip FCC certified</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="607" height="664" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Infinix-Zero-Flip-FCC-1.png?x44794" alt="Infinix Zero Flip FCC 1" class="wp-image-631499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Infinix-Zero-Flip-FCC-1.png 607w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Infinix-Zero-Flip-FCC-1-274x300.png 274w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Infinix-Zero-Flip-FCC-1-384x420.png 384w" sizes="(max-width: 607px) 100vw, 607px" /><figcaption>Infinix Zero Flip&#8217;s FC certification reveals design</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The above image, which appeared in the FCC&#8217;s database, showcases the design of the Zero Flip. It reveals that it will have a large square-shaped cover display and a vertically aligned dual-camera setup, followed by a pill-like LED flash. The overall design of the Zero Flip looks quite similar to the rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/06/05/tecno-phantom-v2-flip-fcc-certification/">Phantom V2 Flip from the sibling brand, Tecno</a>.  While the two devices have an almost identical design, it is unclear whether they will pack similar internals.</p>

<p>The FCC certification has revealed that the Zero Flip will ship with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. While there is no information about its battery, it appears that the device will ship with a 70W fast charger.</p>

<p>The Zero Flip will support multiple 4G and 5G bands, as shown in one of the images above. It also reveals that the device will be available in a Titanium Black shade. Apart from the FCC, Europe’s EEC platform has also approved the device.</p>

<p>With key certifications under its belt, it appears that the Zero Flip may go official by the end of this month or in July. At present, there is no official confirmation from Infinix of the existence of this device.</p>
