Infinix looks set to bring the Note 60 Pro to India soon, and it’s already starting to tease some of the phone’s more unusual features. The device was announced globally earlier this year.

The company has begun its local campaign by highlighting what it calls the Active Matrix Display on the back. It’s essentially a set of LEDs built into the camera module, somewhat similar in concept to Nothing’s Glyph interface. It can show notifications, battery status, incoming calls, and even simple animations without needing to flip the phone. It’s more of a visual feature than a practical one, but it does help the phone stand out a bit.

Infinix has also confirmed that another feature will be revealed on April 4 at 12 PM, though most of the core specs are already out there from the global launch.

Up front, the phone uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Local peak brightness is claimed to be 4,500 nits, which sounds impressive, though global peak or full-screen brightness will matter more for outdoor visibility.

Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. That should be enough for everyday tasks like browsing, social media, and some casual gaming.

The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, along with an 8MP ultrawide. On the front, there’s a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery is one of the stronger points of this phone. It packs a 6,500mAh cell, with support for 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, along with reverse charging options. It runs Android 16 with XOS 16, and carries an IP64 rating for basic dust and splash resistance.

Reports point to a mid-April timeline in India, with April 13 being mentioned in a few listings. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet, but more details should show up as the teasers continue.

Overall, the Note 60 Pro doesn’t look radically different on paper, but the rear LED system and large battery could give it a bit of an edge in a crowded mid-range market.

The GT 50 Pro will feature the industry’s biggest micro-pump liquid cooling setup with a 6,437mm² diaphragm area, intended to improve heat dissipation during extended gaming sessions. The improved thermal system ensures full coverage of core heat zones, helping maintain stable performance under load.

Additionally, a new magnetic cooling accessory dubbed MagCharge 2.0 with wireless bypass charging is expected. This system directly powers the device while reducing battery heat, combining active cooling with wireless charging support. Anyways, the phone is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 2.5D curved design. Up front, there’s a 32-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear houses a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, paired with an 8-megapixel secondary lens and a 50-megapixel third camera.

Under the hood, the Infinix Note 60 Ultra could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip. Interestingly, this is the same SoC Infinix is reportedly planning to use in the GT 50 Pro. It’s expected to come with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Keeping everything running is a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging. Wireless charging is also on board at 50W, along with 10W wired and wireless reverse charging. The phone is tipped to ship with Android 16 out of the box.

The GT 50 Pro made its Geekbench run with the same setup, scoring 1,612 points in the single-core test and 6,686 points in the multi-core test.

It’s expected to be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and another 8MP sensor, along with dual flash modules. The Note 60’s Geekbench listing reveals that its MediaTek chip comprises four cores running at 2.0GHz and four cores operating at 2.60GHz. For graphics, it features the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. These details strongly suggest that the Note 60 is powered by the Dimensity 7400, which is likely to be marketed as the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate.

The Geekbench listing also shows 8GB of RAM and Android 16. In Geekbench 6.5’s single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 1,055 and 3,097 points, respectively.

It goes without saying that the orange variant is particularly eye-catching, and it is expected to be a common colour across flagship phones this year.

The front side features a curved-edge OLED display, and there is an additional green button on the right edge. The rectangular camera module on the back houses a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup along with an LED flash. For audiophiles, the device features JBL-powered dual speakers.

A side view of the phone shows a very slim profile. Its thickness is said to be just 7.2mm, despite housing a large 6,500mAh battery. The back panel uses a pearl-like gemstone finish inspired by a cat’s-eye gem, creating subtle light reflections and depth when viewed from different angles.

If you were stuck in an area with no network access, the best option I can think of is to use some primitive techniques. Like maybe making smoke signals to call for help?

Satellite connectivity gained traction in mainstream phones because of these emergencies. And in 2026, the technology has matured enough that satellite connectivity can support two-way communication, including voice calls, all without a traditional cellular signal.

Samsung and Infinix are among those brands that are working to make satellite connectivity more than a niche feature. 

Satellite connectivity is no longer just for emergencies

Until recently, satellite features on smartphones were extremely limited. Apple, Google, and Samsung all introduced versions of satellite emergency messaging over the past few years, but these were tightly controlled experiences.

You could send a short message, usually guided by on-screen prompts, and only in specific situations. It was useful, but clearly not meant for everyday communication.

That limitation shaped how people think about satellite features. It was framed as a safety tool and not something you’d rely on regularly. However, that narrative is changing in 2026. 

Infinix takes an unexpected lead

One of the more interesting developments this year came from Infinix, a brand better known for value-focused smartphones.

The approach makes sense if you take Infinix demographics into consideration. The company sells most of its phones in regions where coverage gaps are common. 

Samsung is taking a more methodical approach

Samsung is one of the first Android brands to introduce satellite connectivity in the Galaxy S25 series. As we mentioned earlier, the feature is currently limited to text-based communication.

What’s important from Samsung is its preparation for the next step. The company is working on the Exynos Modem 5410, which is expected to support a wider range of satellite communication standards. And yes, this includes the technical capability for satellite voice calls, and maybe even low-quality video calls.

Whether those features actually reach users will depend on carriers, regulators, and partnerships with satellite operators. But if the rumors are true, the Galaxy S26 series will be the first device to feature this modem. 

From “no service” to limited service everywhere

One way to think about satellite calling is not as a replacement for cellular networks, but as a safety net underneath them. Cellular connections will always be faster, cheaper, and better for most use cases. Satellites step in when that system fails.

Satellite calling doesn’t mean your phone suddenly works the same way in the middle of the ocean as it does in a city. Latency will be higher. Call quality can be inconsistent. Weather and line-of-sight can make or break a connection. These systems come with real trade-offs.

But they also reduce the number of situations where your phone is completely useless. Instead of “no service,” the future may look more like “limited service,” and that’s a meaningful difference.

Why this matters

It’s easy to dismiss satellite calling as something only adventurers care about. But the real impact is much broader.

For travelers, it means fewer dead zones and less dependence on local infrastructure. For rural communities, it offers another path to connectivity where building towers isn’t practical. While official pricing hasn’t been fully confirmed, the innovative connectivity and the introduction of HydroFlow liquid cooling and ModuVerse modular accessory support suggest that Infinix is aiming for a mix of utility and differentiated features at an attractive price point.

A particularly intriguing announcement at CES 2026 was the Clicks Communicator, a smartphone designed with a physical QWERTY keyboard that evokes the nostalgia of classic BlackBerry-style devices. At CES 2026 this week, Infinix unveiled the Note 60 series as the first smartphones to support global satellite calling. While satellite calling is no longer a new feature on smartphones, the news is about the unique approach from Infinix that turns it beyond an “emergency-only” feature.

According to Infinix, global satellite calling on the Note 60 series is built as an always-on emergency connection rather than a novelty add-on. A report from Android Headlines says the feature covers nearly two-thirds of the Earth’s surface and works without any extra registration from the user. This essentially means you can use this feature almost anywhere in the world. 

The transmission speeds are limited to just 4Kbps, but Infinix claims the system is optimized for HD voice calls and two-way SMS. Infinix says the phone can automatically switch between satellite and roaming networks, which should allow it to maintain connectivity even in areas with no traditional mobile signal.

Gaming and accessories

Alongside satellite calling, Infinix introduced what it calls the HydroFlow liquid cooling system. The Note 60 is the first phone to use the company’s new cooling architecture, which pushes coolant at a rate of 6.5ml per minute using dual piezoelectric ceramic pumps. 

The setup is paired with a new vibrating piezoelectric fan that doesn’t rely on traditional rotating blades. Instead, the fan uses ultra-thin vibrating blades that are just 0.1mm thick and pulse 25,000 times per second. Infinix claims this solid-state design controls heat far more efficiently than conventional fans, especially during extended gaming sessions or demanding AI workloads.

The company is also tapping into the gaming accessories market with what it says is the industry’s first split controller. It has a pressure-sensitive touchpad designed for ultra-low latency. There’s also a wireless magnetic trigger featuring mouse-grade microswitches.

Design and modules

The company also introduced its AI Module Universe, a modular ecosystem of magnetic accessories. These include a conferencing module for instant translation, a VlogCam module with AI-based subject tracking, and add-ons like a professional microphone module and an expandable battery pack called StackPower. The idea is to let users adapt the phone for specific tasks rather than relying on one fixed setup.

Infinix hasn’t shared pricing or an official release date yet for the Note 60 series, including the Note 60 Ultra.

The Infinix Note Edge surfaced earlier this month via Indonesia’s SDPPI certification. Now the phone has shown up in a fresh leak, this time courtesy of tipster Paras Guglani on X.

The leaked image reveals the Infinix Note Edge in a green finish with a relatively slim profile. Around the back, the camera module stretches wide across the upper portion of the phone. It houses two camera lenses, an LED flash, and what appears to be an additional filler light.

According to Guglani, the Infinix Note Edge will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset. The processor hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the leak claims it will be built on a 6nm process.

Software-wise, it’s likely to come pre-installed with Android 16. Infinix is also said to be promising three years of Android platform updates and five years of security patches. 

Up front, the Note Edge is said to feature a 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Keeping everything running will be a sizable 6,500mAh battery. 

Guglani adds that the Infinix Note Edge is currently slated to debut in January 2026.

The Infinix Note Edge seems to be a new phone line from the Chinese brand. It received SDPPI recognition alongside the Infinix Note 60 and Note 60 Pro.

The Note 60 Pro has already popped up on Geekbench with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which was announced earlier this year. 

The only other phone to feature this chip is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which is currently available only in China. The Note 60 Pro is also revealed to feature 8GB of RAM and Android 16.

While nothing is official just yet, there’s a good chance Infinix could launch all three phones together.

According to Infinix, the alliance aims to elevate craftsmanship across its premium lineup by incorporating the firm’s heritage in elegance, engineering precision and lifestyle-driven design. While specifications for the Note 60 Ultra remain undisclosed, Infinix states that its design philosophy and related details will be announced in the near future.

This is not Infinix’s first project with a company rooted in automotive design. Past collaborations include the Note 30 VIP Racing Edition and the Note 40 series, both created with BMW’s DesignWorks studio. Each project introduced different aesthetics inspired by motorsport, which appear to have paved the way for Infinix’s continued interest in design-driven partnerships.

Infinix has mainly been using MediaTek chips to power its smartphones for several years. It now appears that the brand is gearing up to launch a new Snapdragon-powered Infinix phone. In fact, this new mysterious phone seems to use a brand-new chip that has been previously seen only on the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

Infinix X6878 Geekbench listing

The above screenshot shows that a forthcoming Infinix phone with the model number X6878 has surfaced in Geekbench’s database. Before appearing on Geekbench, this device was also spotted in Europe’s EEC certification, but that listing did not reveal anything significant.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the Infinix X6878 phone is powered by a Snapdragon chip that includes a prime core running at 2.71GHz, three cores operating at 2.40GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.80GHz. For graphics, the chipset is equipped with the Adreno 810 GPU.

Although the chipset’s name is not specified, the device appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, which went official in August this year. The handset scored 1,232 in Geekbench 6.5’s single-core test and 2,882 in the multi-core test. The only other phone that features the said chip is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which debuted in August in China.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the Infinix X6878 phone has 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. Unfortunately, there is no information about the final marketing name of this phone. There is a possibility that it could be the forthcoming Infinix Zero 50 or Note Edge phone. Likely, the said device may go official in November, but there’s no clarity about its targeted markets.

Infinix has officially confirmed that the Infinix GT 30 will globally launch on Sept. 11. To recall, the device debut in India with an exciting price tag of Rs 19,499 (~$220) in India last month. For the global release, Infinix has partnered with Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group, the developer behind the tactical shooter title Delta Force.

Collaboration with Delta Force

The new collaboration will bring a special edition of the GT 30, which is expected to be featured in esports competitions across Southeast Asia. The GT 30 Delta Force Special Edition will also serve as the official tournament device for multiple regional events, offering players smoother frame rates and an edge in competitive gameplay.

Instead of the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate that powers the GT 30 Pro, the GT 30 features the Dimensity 7400 that promises stable performance for demanding games.  The device retains the GT Trigger shoulder key, which uses capacitive sensors to replicate console-style controls. Besides enhancing gameplay in shooters and MOBAs, the trigger can also act as a shortcut for camera and video features. High-frame-rate certification for popular games such as PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends and Delta Force confirms that the device can push up to 120 FPS for consistent responsiveness.

On the design front, the GT 30 introduces a Mechanical Light Waves aesthetic, offering two new colour options, Cyber Blue and Pulse Green, in addition to Shadow Ash and Blade White. To ensure credibility, Infinix collaborated with an ILAC-accredited laboratory that carried out precise laser measurements at multiple points. The results confirmed a thickness of 5.95mm at its thinnest area and 6.09mm at the thickest section, the latter being used as the official Guinness benchmark.

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ specifications

Despite its slim design, the Hot 60 Pro+ offers a solid feature set. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset and sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 1,224p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Infinix has started teasing the arrival of the Infinix GT 30 5G in India. Its landing page available on Flipkart gives a hint that its launch may not be far away. A new report released by GSMArena gives the first look at the device’s design.

Infinix GT 30 design

The Infinix GT 30’s design is almost identical to the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which debuted in June. There have been speculations that the standard model may not feature gaming trigger buttons that are available on the Pro model. However, the image below confirms that the non-Pro version will also feature gaming trigger buttons.

The Infinix GT 30 also features customizable LED light strips on the back, like the Pro version. There’s a dual camera setup with an LED flash at the upper-left corner. While its front has not been revealed yet, it is likely to feature a flat OLED panel.

Infinix GT 30 specifications, price (rumored)

Infinix is yet to reveal the technical details of the Infinix GT 30. Recent reports have revealed that the device’s display will support a 1.5K resolution. It will be powered by the Dimensity 7400 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and Android 15. It is expected to pack a 5,200mAh battery with 45W charging support.

As far as gaming is concerned, the device is said to have received a certification from Krafton to support 90fps gaming on BGMI.

The Infinix GT 30 will be positioned lower than the Pro version. Therefore, it is likely to cost around Rs 20,000 in India. The phone is also expected to debut in other markets in the coming days.

Infinix has confirmed that the Infinix GT 30 5G+ will launch soon in India. It will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, where a microsite for the phone is already live. The phone comes with the tagline “The Game Starts With You” and features a rear panel design that matches earlier leaks. It also includes an LED lighting setup similar to the one seen on the Infinix GT 30 Pro.

As reported by folks at TheTechOutlook, the device has already appeared on several certification sites, including TUV Rheinland, FCC, Google Play Console, and Geekbench. Its listing on the Carlcare Spare Parts page also suggests the launch is near.

According to these listings, the phone will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and an ARM Mali G615 GPU. It will have a 1.5K display with a resolution of 1224 x 2720 pixels and a screen density of 480 xxhdpi. The operating system will be Android 15 with XOS 15.1.2 on top.

Connectivity features include support for dual-band WiFi at 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth, and NFC. It will come in two variants, one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and another with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone will support 45W wired fast charging.

There is some confusion about the battery capacity. TUV Rheinland lists a 5350mAh battery, while FCC mentions two different units with 5200mAh and 6000mAh capacities. These differences may depend on the region where the phone is sold.

Infinix has not shared an official launch date yet. But with the Flipkart microsite live and certifications in place, the GT 30 5G+ is expected to go on sale in India soon.

The Infinix Hot 60 5G is not just another budget 5G phone; it aims to offer several AI-driven features at an entry-level price. After using the Infinix Hot 60 5G for a week as my secondary device, I got a fair sense of what it offers, where it delivers well and where there is room for improvement.

Design and Build

The first thing that stood out was how lightweight and slim it felt. At 7.8mm, the phone does not feel bulky even when used with a case. The overall design is not too different from the Hot 50 5G from last year. The Tundra Green edition that you can see in this post has a matte gradient back panel that does not attract fingerprint marks.

For durability, the device comes with an IP64-rated dust and water resistance. The top edge is barren, while the bottom is populated with a speaker grille, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a 3.5mm jack. Its left spine has a SIM slot, whereas the right side features a volume rocker, a power button, and a new One Tap AI button in orange color.

Display and Audio

The 6.7-inch IPS LCD punch-hole display runs at 120Hz, which keeps things smooth when scrolling or navigating through apps. The resolution is HD+, not Full HD+, and that is something I did notice while watching YouTube videos or viewing photos closely. Sharpness could have been better. The display legibility under the sun is not the best, but it is acceptable for the price you are paying for this device.

The dynamic bar is an interesting addition, though I personally did not use it much beyond checking charging status and call alerts. Audio from the single speaker was passable for casual use but lacked depth for music or gaming.

Performance and Software

Performance was largely dependable on everyday tasks. The Dimensity 7020 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM, handled multitasking well. I did not encounter any slowdowns when switching between apps.

The brand claims support for 90fps gaming, but I could get around 40fps to 60fps in battle royale games. The UI, XOS 15 based on Android 15, felt lighter than the previous Infinix versions I have used, with fewer distractions and cleaner visuals. As far as updates are concerned, the device will support up to two years of security updates.

What I found noteworthy was the promise of five years of “lag-free” use at this price. Obviously, I cannot verify that within my use of 10 to 15 days, but animations and app launches did remain consistently smooth during my usage. The RAM extension feature (up to 12GB including virtual RAM) seemed to help when I left multiple apps running in the background.

Battery life was solid. The 5200mAh battery lasted over a day consistently, even with some gaming and hotspot use. Charging speeds with the 18W adapter were not the fastest, but bypass charging during gameplay did keep the phone cooler than expected. There is support for 10W reverse charging, which can help in powering accessories like smartwatches and TWS earbuds. Here is how the device performed on benchmarking apps, such as AnTuTu, Geekbench, and CPU Throttle.

One Tap AI button

This was one of the features I actually found myself experimenting with more than I expected. The dedicated One Tap AI button is not just a shortcut key to open apps, it goes a bit deeper. What stood out to me is that in certain apps like YouTube or Snapchat, it does not just launch the app but can directly open specific internal features.

For instance, I could set it to open YouTube Shorts or the Maps tab inside Snapchat directly, which cuts down on a few extra taps. It is customisable for over 30 apps, so once I got used to it, it did feel handy for quicker navigation. It also works with AI actions like summarising content or screen awareness in certain contexts, though I did not use those as often.

Speaking of AI, this entry-level 5G phone differentiates itself from the crowd by offering a suite of AI-driven features. The Infinix AI suite brings features like Folax assistant, AI call translation, AI document summarizer, AI wallpaper generator, and more.

Camera and other features

The 50-megapixel rear camera takes decent photos in good lighting. Colour reproduction was generally neutral, though dynamic range varied depending on the scene. Low-light shots had noticeable grain, but the Super Night mode helped slightly. The 8-megapixel front camera was fine for video calls and casual selfies, though detail was average.

The front camera has an LED flash, and the torch app allows you to turn on the front and rear LEDs at the same time. It also comes with other features like a side-facing fingerprint sensor and a microSD card slot.

Final Thoughts

Priced at Rs 10,499 for the sole 6GB+128GB option, the Infinix Hot 60 5G manages to pack in a lot: a stylish build, dependable performance, AI enhancements, and long-term reliability, all under a competitive price tag. It also comes in shades like Sleek Black, Shadow Blue, and Caramel Glow.

The inclusion of a One Tap AI Button and LPDDR5x RAM gives it an edge in the segment. While a higher resolution display or stereo speakers could have made it a near-perfect budget phone, it still stands out as one of the most innovative offerings in its category.
