<p>Super Bowl LIX was not only a thrilling sports event but also a showcase of innovative technologies. Cutting edge innovation helped enhance the experience for fans, players, and broadcasters alike. From advanced broadcasting equipment to AI powered security measures, here&#8217;s a look at the cool tech that was used in Super Bowl LIX.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="718" height="540" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX.webp?x23692" alt="Cutting Edge Tech Used in the Super Bowl LIX" class="wp-image-672695" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX.webp 718w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX-300x226.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX-696x523.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX-558x420.webp 558w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX-80x60.webp 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Tech-used-in-Super-Bowl-LIX-265x198.webp 265w" sizes="(max-width: 718px) 100vw, 718px" /><figcaption>New Sony HDC-P50A 4K box camera (Pic Credit: Forbes)</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Advanced Broadcasting with Over 100 Sony Cameras</h3>

<p>Fox Sports pulled out all the stops for their Super Bowl LIX broadcast, deploying over 140 cameras to capture every angle of the game. It used <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/sony/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sony</a>&#8216;s brand new SkyCam that offers 4K 240Hz video recording. So you get an ultra high definition aerial view of the sporting event with great clarity. Meanwhile, the lower SkyCam used LiDAR and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology for precise positioning, enhancing the performance of augmented reality (AR) graphics during the broadcast. </p>

<h3>AI Integration in Advertising and Security</h3>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/09/amazon-going-big-on-ai-in-2025-with-plans-to-spend-an-insane-100-billion/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Artificial intelligence</a> played a significant role in Super Bowl LIX, especially in advertising and security. During the major American sporting event, debuted its first-ever Super Bowl commercial, a 60-second spot highlighting humanity&#8217;s technological evolution and the practical applications of AI, such as ChatGPT.</p>

<p>Moving away from its mainstream presence, AI powered systems were also used with facial recognition technology for improved security at the event. hese technologies aimed to ensure a secure environment for attendees by efficiently monitoring and managing crowd activities. <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/luisromero/2025/02/09/ai-takes-over-super-bowl-2025-ads-analysis-and-player-safety/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"></a></p>

<h3>Cool Synchronized LED Wristbands</h3>

<p>To create a more interactive and visually stunning experience, fans at the Super Bowl were provided with LED equipped wristbands. Stuff like these are usually seen in major music concerts, but the Super Bowl LIX synchronized these LED wristbands with the stadium&#8217;s music and lighting system. This allowed for a coordinated light show that added a dynamic element to the live experience.</p>

<h3>Immersive Viewing Through Augmented Reality</h3>

<p>Super Bowl LIX was special this year as it employed Augmented Reality (AR) during their broadcasts. The AR elements provided an overlay with dynamic graphics onto the liv efeed, which gave viewers real time statistics, player highlights, and interactive visuals. This also enhanced the overall experience.</p>

<p>In conclusion, Super Bowl LIX was a great stage that showcased how cutting-edge technology can elevate the experience of a major sporting event. From advanced broadcasting techniques and AI applications to immersive fan engagement tools, the integration of these innovations ensured a new and improved experience of the Super Bowl.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google </a>fact checking tool has just been updated which has made it even more useful. The company&#8217;s tool can now fact check images as well, with the functionality currently being live in a global beta. </p>

<h4>Google fast checking now applies to images too</h4>

<p>Since its conception, the Search Engine giant&#8217;s fact checking tool has already helped many. Now, people can even scrutinize a picture found online as well. To use this tool, one simply requires the image itself that they can upload or copy and paste the URL and click on the search image option on the right corner of the search bar. After this, the fact checker tool kicks in, providing key details and references of this image from all across the internet. Notably, this announcement also arrives a couple of days after the brand&#8217;s researchers introduced a new language model dubbed the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/06/26/google-audiopalm-ai-language-model/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AudioPaLM</a>.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="575" height="286" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Screenshot-2023-06-30-205634.png?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-548212" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Screenshot-2023-06-30-205634.png 575w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Screenshot-2023-06-30-205634-300x149.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Screenshot-2023-06-30-205634-324x160.png 324w" sizes="(max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px" /></figure></div>

<p>Furthermore, the beta tool can also offer details about topics and locations that are related to the image being searched. This, in turn, help make the process much fast as well. As per official notes, Google&#8217;s new tool can find out if an image is being used in the wrong context. In other words, it can find out if someone is manipulating the truth by using an image to spread misinformation.</p>

<p>Apart from this, the Fact Check Explorer will one to trace the origin of the image as well as its original context. As an example, you can find the image listed based on the timeline where Google first indexed it or found a mention of it on the internet. Keep in mind that the tool is still in beta stages, so it might not work as intended every time. But for those interested, you can join the waitlist to try out this feature by clicking <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSct_cdI7947e_2wqPxYKNkT2q-A0cnNuF41xRoYrYcBJ78fJA/viewform" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, the Chinese electronics giant, has announced a breakthrough in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/solid-state-batteries/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">solid-state battery</a> technology that promises to deliver higher energy density, better low-temperature performance, and enhanced safety. The company claims that its pre-developed solid-state battery technology achieves energy density of over 1000Wh/L, a 20% improvement in low-temperature discharge performance, and a significant increase in the acupuncture experiment passing rate.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="537" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Solid-State-Battery-Technology.jpg?x23692" alt="Xiaomi Solid-state Battery Tech" class="wp-image-519268" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Solid-State-Battery-Technology.jpg 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Solid-State-Battery-Technology-269x300.jpg 269w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Xiaomi-Solid-State-Battery-Technology-376x420.jpg 376w" sizes="(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px" /></figure></div>

<p>The main difference between solid-state batteries and traditional batteries is the electrolyte, which is upgraded to a solid state. Solid electrolytes offer better mechanical strength and stability than liquid electrolytes, which are commonly used in traditional batteries. They also have the potential to solve many of the challenges facing traditional batteries, such as low energy density, poor low-temperature performance, and safety issues.</p>

<p>Solid-state batteries have the potential to revolutionize the battery industry, and Xiaomi&#8217;s new technology promises to be a game-changer. The company&#8217;s laboratory tests have shown that its solid-state batteries have an energy density of over 1000Wh/L, which is a significant improvement over traditional batteries. This means that more energy can be stored in a smaller space, which is critical for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The company packed a super large 6000mAh battery capacity into the prototype of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-13/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 13</a> smartphone, significantly improving battery life.</p>

<p>In addition to the high energy density, Xiaomi&#8217;s solid-state batteries also offer improved low-temperature performance. At low temperatures, the viscosity of the electrolyte in traditional batteries rises sharply, hindering the transport capacity of lithium ions and resulting in a rapid decline of 60% lithium conductivity. However, solid-state batteries can maintain sufficient lithium conductivity at low temperatures, which means they can perform better in cold environments. Xiaomi claims that its solid-state batteries have more than 20% higher discharge performance than traditional batteries at -20°C, making them suitable for use even in high latitudes.</p>

<p>Another major benefit of Xiaomi&#8217;s solid-state batteries is their improved safety. The use of a solid electrolyte can prevent the penetration of lithium dendrites, which can cause short circuits and other safety issues. Xiaomi&#8217;s technical team has also developed a method to improve the resistance to acupuncture of its solid-state batteries. By coating the positive electrode with solid electrolyte ceramics, the battery can better withstand needle puncture and prevent the communication between the positive and negative electrodes, ensuring the safety of use.</p>

<p>Overall, Xiaomi&#8217;s new solid-state battery technology represents a significant step forward in the development of next-generation batteries. The technology has the potential to significantly improve the performance and safety of batteries and could lead to the development of new innovations for mobile devices and other electronics.</p>

In other words, drinking more hot water can charge one&#8217;s smartphone as well, as per its description. In other words, the power bank also doubles as a thermos. As smartphones becoming more common in the modern world, power banks have become even more essential as well. Furthermore, the gadget working as a thermos ensures that the user stays hydrated and the device topped up.</p>

<p>As a thermos, the device is just compact enough to be portable and at room temperature, it can preserve heat for up to 6 hours above 65℃ and even preserve cold water below 9℃ for up to 6 hours as well. When working as a power bank, the hot water mug can convert thermal energy into electrical energy to charge various electronic products, even supporting wireless charging as well. So, one can essentially use this in various areas where there is no supply of electricity, an example being camping outside.</p>
<p>This is achieved by what is apparently called Aerospace black technology, which uses high-performance thermoelectric conversion technology from the aerospace field. In other words, this is technology quite literally originates from aerospace or rocket engineering. Let us know in the comments section down below if you would ever use such a unique power bank.</p>

<p>In this list, Huawei has made a massive jump in recent times, crossing 42 positions to reach the number 6 spot in the list just below <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Samsung</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/microsoft/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Microsoft</a>. Back in 2014, the company was at the very bottom and has made its way up since then. Keep in mind it wasn&#8217;t a straight line up, as Huawei did see a healthy rise in 2015, but it was quickly followed by a decline to the 48th position. However, from here the popular consumer electronics maker took off, beating the likes of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/sony/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sony</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/facebook/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Facebook</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/alibaba/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Alibaba</a>, and more.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/24/huawei-flagship-store-china/">Huawei challenges Apple with a new flagship store in Shanghai, China</a></strong></h6>
<p>Furthermore, the rankings also include many known tech based brands as well, including <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple</a> that currently holds the top spot. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Google</a> follows close behind in second place followed by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amazon/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Amazon</a>. Xiaomi also made the list as a returnee this year, meaning they were not ranked since 2016. Now, the Chinese vendor holds the 24th spot on this list.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-268731 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/9sjoum0c_huawei-logo-afp_625x300_07_March_19.jpg?x23692" alt="Huawei" width="650" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/9sjoum0c_huawei-logo-afp_625x300_07_March_19.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/9sjoum0c_huawei-logo-afp_625x300_07_March_19-300x185.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/9sjoum0c_huawei-logo-afp_625x300_07_March_19-356x220.jpg 356w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></p>
<p>There can be many possible reasons for this immense rise in innovation for Huawei. The company is a pioneer in 5G networking and has been pushing the adoption of the newer and faster bandwidth in many regions despite pressures from the US. Additionally, the ban from the US has also forced the company to innovate and adapt on multiple fronts with proprietary development occurring for both software and hardware.</p>

<p>The South Korean tech giant made the announcement after it was tasked to develop the futuristic technology for a national R&amp;D project. This project will be a cooperative effort with over 20 companies, institutions, and universities. The goal for LG Display is to develop a display product that can be stretched by up to 20 percent. In other words, we may soon see more robust displays that can be stretched and folded in the near future.</p>

The company just announced that they will soon launch their new device to the masses. The most interesting thing is that the device has a very innovative design of finger print scanner and the whole device. Also, the Newman device has Alibaba&#8217;s YunOS 3.0 pre-installed.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44189" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233141" width="1000" height="750" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-100x75.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-180x135.jpg 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-238x178.jpg 238w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-640x480.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233141-681x511.jpg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></a></p>
<p>As you can see, the finger print scanner is located right below the camera sensor on the back. We have never seen this done before as the camera sensor is located at the left top corner of the device.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44188" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233140" width="650" height="455" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-300x210.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-600x420.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-640x448.jpg 640w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a></p>
<p>The smartphone comes in two colour options &#8211; white and black.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44187" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233140-52" width="1000" height="750" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-100x75.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-180x135.jpg 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-238x178.jpg 238w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-640x480.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-52-681x511.jpg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></a></p>
<p>The device has a 5.5 inch Full-HD display with 5mp front and 13mp rear camera, which is accompanied by the dual tone dual LED flash. The front side looks a bit similar to the Xiaomi Mi4.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233138.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44181" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233138.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233138" width="650" height="506" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233138.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233138-300x234.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233138-540x420.jpg 540w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233138-640x498.jpg 640w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a> <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44186" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233140-51" width="650" height="436" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51-300x201.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51-626x420.jpg 626w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51-537x360.jpg 537w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233140-51-640x429.jpg 640w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a></p>
<p>Another interesting feature, which seems to have made a comeback on this device from the early days of smartphones (or even feature phones) is the rotating wheel &#8220;flywheel&#8221; on the side of the phone. What it does is basically lets you scroll through the menus with your thumb without the need to touch the screen. It may sound a bit funny, why the manufacturer would put this outdated piece of hardware. However, Apple thinks the same way with their smartwach.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44185" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233139" width="650" height="453" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-300x209.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-603x420.jpg 603w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-640x446.jpg 640w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a> <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-52.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44184" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-52.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233139-52" width="650" height="521" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-52.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-52-300x240.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-52-524x420.jpg 524w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-52-640x513.jpg 640w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a></p>
<p>What is more, the finger print scanner is very high quality as it uses the same module as the Huawei Mate 7.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-50.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-44182" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-50.jpg?x23692" alt="16-150320233139-50" width="650" height="432" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-50.jpg 650w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-50-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-50-632x420.jpg 632w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/16-150320233139-50-640x425.jpg 640w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a></p>
<p>We are not yet informed about the hardware specs of this device yet as this is non-final unit. Pricing and availability is not yet disclosed either. Anyway, we think that these two design aspects are innovative and should attract some of the consumers attention, when the device is released officially to the public.</p>
