China‘s popular sub-brand Jetour officially launched its new mid-sized SUV, the X90 PRO, and the car has a compelling package for budget-minded families. With a starting price of 127,900 yuan (~$17,765), the X90 PRO has a solid range of features typically found in more expensive vehicles.

The central touchscreen in the car is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip

The X90 PRO comes in five trims, offering both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Powertrain options include a 1.6T or 2.0T engine, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. The 2.0T engine delivers a respectable 0-to-100 km/h time of 8.3 seconds.

Inside, the X90 PRO boasts a spacious and technologically advanced cabin. The wraparound cockpit features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a massive 15.6-inch central touchscreen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Standard features include 360° panoramic cameras, a panoramic sunroof, and a multitude of storage compartments.

The X90 PRO also emphasizes safety with L2.5-level driver assistance features and a comprehensive suite of airbags. Several trim levels come equipped with advanced parking technologies for added convenience.

China’s Jetour Auto wants to expand Globally with 12+ New Vehicles in the Pipeline

Jetour is a car manufacturer hailing from China. Although it has a presence in some markets, including UAE, South America, and Africa, the company is still relatively unknown in many prominent markets. The Chinese company is looking to change that as it is set to expand its international reach this year and is planning to enter ten additional countries, including Italy and Turkey. To aid the foray, Jetour will launch a dozen new models in the market within the next two years.

Jetour Auto is coming to Europe

Jetour’s General Manager Li Xueyong says the company has set ambitious sales goals. He noted that from 2027 onwards, the company’s overseas sales will account for half of its total deliveries. That’s a pretty bold target. To achieve this, the automaker is planning to expand its international footprint even further by foraying into 10 additional countries this year, including some European markets like Italy and Turkey.

As mentioned, Jetour Auto is all set to launch a whopping 12 new models in the market over the next two years. These will include six to seven urban SUVs, three to four off-road vehicles, and two pickups. But that’s not all, some of the company’s SUVs will feature intelligent features that allow them to travel in convoys when heading toward the same destination

Li Xueyong claims that China-made electric vehicles boast superior technology when compared to their European counterparts. And the company is not limiting itself to just one market. Jack Chen, the General Manager of Jetour International, has revealed that it will develop both left-hand and right-hand drive models to cater to different markets around the world.

Jetour X-1 Hybrid SUV unveiled, with Huawei L3 autonomous driving

JETOUR Motors has just announced a new hybrid vehicle. It is the Jetour X-1 Hybrid SUV crossover, which is powered by the Huawei L3 autonomous driving assistance system and more.

For those unaware, the Chinese company is a sub brand of Chery Automobiles. Now, the automobile maker has launched the X-1 from its Jetour brand. It features its self developed “Kunlun” architecture platform that is powered by Huawei’s high end L3 autonomous driving assistance system along with the latest technologies like the Smart Cockpit 3.0 and Healthy Cockpit 4.0. The new crossover SUV was announced on the 1st of January 2022.

Through the Chinese tech giant’s L3 self driving assistance system, the car can drive on its own in a number of scenarios, although, the drive would still have to take control in some situations like emergencies. Under the hood, the X-1 is equipped with the Chery Kunpeng DHT hybrid system and Chery core fuel powered platform. In other words, it is a hybrid that is powered by both fuel and electricity.

Notably, the four wheel drive version of the car is also equipped with a rear mounted single motor that supports 9 different modes like pure electric drive, extended range mode drive, parallel mode drive, engine direct drive, and more. This enables users to switch between power and fuel efficiency modes based on their requirements. Looking at the car, it features a unique radiator grille, which is part of the bumper along with an angular overall design. Unfortunately, finer details like specifications, pricing, and availability are still unknown at the moment.
