<h2><strong>Lenovo Legion Y70 Specifications&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The Legion Y70 comes with a 6.82-inch BOE Q10 OLED display featuring a 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and LTPO technology for adaptive refresh rates. Lenovo says the panel can reach up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness and also supports Dolby Vision.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM running at up to 9,600 Mbps and UFS 4.1 storage. You can choose between 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB with 512GB, and 16GB with 512GB. There is also a higher-end variant with 1TB of storage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Lenovo-Legion-Y70-Design-and-Display.jpg?x44794" alt="Lenovo Legion Y70 Design and Display" class="wp-image-738927" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Lenovo-Legion-Y70-Design-and-Display.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Lenovo-Legion-Y70-Design-and-Display-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Lenovo-Legion-Y70-Design-and-Display-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Lenovo-Legion-Y70-Design-and-Display-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Lenovo-Legion-Y70-Design-and-Display-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>For cooling, Lenovo uses a large 5,500 mm² vapor chamber system, which the company claims can reduce CPU temperatures by up to 7 degrees Celsius during heavy workloads like gaming.</p>

<p>Backing this up is a massive 8,000mAh battery. The phone supports 90W fast charging and also includes bypass charging. Lenovo claims the battery is designed to maintain long-term health for up to 1,200 charging cycles.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the camera side, the Legion Y70 features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-710 main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera capable of focusing as close as 2.5cm for macro-style shots. A 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.</p>

<p>The phone also includes features such as IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, eSIM support, a 500Hz gyroscope, and Android 16 with Lenovo’s Tianxi AI 4.0 software features.</p>

<h2><strong>Price and Availability</strong></h2>

<p>The Legion Y70 is currently available for pre-order in China in Ice Soul White and Carbon Black color options. Pricing starts at CNY 3,099 for the 12GB + 256GB model, which roughly converts to around $450.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/lenovo/">Lenovo</a> is finally returning to the gaming phone market after staying quiet for the last few years, and the new Legion Y70 2026 looks like the company is jumping back in pretty aggressively. The phone is officially scheduled to launch in China on May 19, and based on the early details, Lenovo seems to be focusing heavily on battery life and thermal management rather than just chasing benchmark numbers.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-738082" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/legion-y70-1-1-1.jpg 1259w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>One of the first things that stands out is the display. The Legion Y70 2026 uses a 6.82-inch 2K OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, alongside a claimed peak brightness of 7,000 nits. Lenovo is using BOE&#8217;s Q10 display panel, which is claimed to be more power-efficient than many of the 1.5K panels used by competing gaming phones right now.</p>

<p>Under the hood is Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/17/qualcomm-snapdragon-8-gen-5-phone-list/">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a> chip, though notably not the Elite version. Even so, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/10/lenovo-legion-y70-geekbench-listing/">performance</a> should still land fairly close to last year’s top-tier flagship processors.</p>

<p>Lenovo also seems to be putting a lot of emphasis on cooling this time around. The company mentions a large vapor chamber cooling system paired with something described as &#8220;10W thermal conductivity gel&#8221;, alongside gaming-focused network optimizations like a dedicated antenna setup for lower latency and more stable connectivity during online gaming sessions.</p>

<p>But honestly, the battery may end up being the phone’s biggest selling point. The Legion Y70 packs an 8,000mAh battery, which is massive even by current gaming phone standards. Lenovo claims up to 19.3 hours of gaming and over 57 hours of regular use, though real-world numbers will obviously vary quite a bit depending on brightness, game load, and network usage.</p>

<p>Charging is handled through 90W wired fast charging, and the phone also supports bypass charging to reduce heat buildup during extended gaming sessions while plugged in. Other specs include up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, Android 16, and surprisingly strong durability ratings including IP66, IP68, and IP69 resistance.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="520" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-520x1024.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-738081" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-520x1024.webp 520w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-152x300.webp 152w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-768x1511.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-780x1536.webp 780w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-696x1370.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600-213x420.webp 213w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Core-highlights-of-the-Lenovo-Y70-gaming-phone-2026-q82-w-h1600.webp 813w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></figure></div>

<p>Pricing is expected to start around CNY 3,999 (roughly $588 at the current exchange rate), which could make the Legion Y70 2026 fairly competitive against other gaming-focused devices.</p>

The upcoming Lenovo Legion Y70 has now been confirmed for a May 19 launch in China, while several details about its hardware and gaming-focused features have surfaced online ahead of the announcement.</p>

<h3><strong>Lenovo Legion Y70 specifications </strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1-768x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Legion Y70" class="wp-image-737136" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Legion-Y70-1-1.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption>Legion Y70-</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lenovo-legion-y70">Lenovo Legion Y70</a> is expected to arrive with a 6.8-inch flat display that supports a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The company is reportedly positioning the panel as an energy-efficient option despite its high resolution. Powering the device could be Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a> chipset, which is likely to place it among the top-end gaming smartphones launching this year.</p>

<p>The phone is also said to focus heavily on thermal management. Reports suggest Lenovo may introduce a new three-layer cooling setup combining a vapor chamber, liquid metal cooling, and thermal gel. The cooling system is said to include a 5,500mm² VC plate aimed at keeping temperatures under control during extended gaming sessions and demanding workloads.</p>

<p>For battery performance, the Legion Y70 is tipped to pack a large 8,000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. Lenovo is also said to be focusing on long-term battery durability, with claims suggesting the battery could retain over 80 percent health even after several years of usage cycles.</p>

<p>In terms of design, the handset may continue the Legion gaming phone styling with a textured glass back panel and an aluminium frame. It is expected to arrive in black and silver color options. Apart from the Legion Y70, Lenovo is also expected to unveil several other products during its May 19 event, including new tablets, laptops, and foldable devices.</p>

The images highlight a noticeable shift in styling while retaining some familiar elements from the Legion lineup.</p>

<h3><strong>Legion Y70 (2026) design revealed</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-768x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Legion Y70 (2026)" class="wp-image-735097" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-scaled.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Legion-Y70-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption>Legion Y70 (2026)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Legion Y70 (2026) <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/13/lenovo-legion-y70-2026-gaming-phone-launch-details/">gaming phone</a> continues with a flat frame and possibly a flat display combination, keeping the sharp and clean aesthetic intact. &nbsp; On the back, there is a square camera module equipped with what appears to be three camreas and an LED flash. The layout appears more refined and less aggressive, aligning closer to mainstream flagship designs rather than a typical gaming-centric look.</p>

<p>The teaser also shows two color options, including a light silver finish and a darker black variant. Both versions carry a prominent Legion branding on the back, but the finish appears more polished this time. The edges look slightly softened compared to earlier Legion devices, suggesting a better in-hand feel.</p>

<p>Another key visual detail is the placement of a dedicated AI button on the left side, positioned towards the upper section. This button is expected to activate Lenovo’s Tianxi AI assistant, pointing towards a shift in focus from pure gaming hardware to smarter, AI-driven features.</p>

<p>At present, there is no information about the device’s specifications. The device is expected to go official <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/16/lenovo-may-19-launch-legion-y70-razr-fold-ai-ecosystem/">on May 19 in China</a>. The same event is expected to see the arrival of the Y900 tablet and Razr Fold foldable phone.</p>

<p>Lenovo is set to host a major product launch event on May 19, 2026, in China, bringing together its latest innovations across smartphones, laptops, and tablets. The event, themed “Tianxi AI, All-in-One Multi-Terminal, All-Scenario New Product Super Night,” clearly signals the company’s growing focus on building a deeply connected AI ecosystem across devices. This launch is not just about individual products; it’s about how they work together seamlessly in real-world scenarios.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="515" height="681" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-116.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734922" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-116.png 515w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-116-227x300.png 227w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-116-318x420.png 318w" sizes="(max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px" /></figure></div>

<p>Leading the announcements is the new Legion Y70, a next-generation gaming smartphone expected to deliver significant upgrades in performance, thermal management, and gaming-centric features. Lenovo is likely aiming to push deeper into the mobile gaming space with this refreshed model.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="758" height="562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734923" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117.png 758w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117-300x222.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117-485x360.png 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117-696x516.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117-566x420.png 566w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-117-80x60.png 80w" sizes="(max-width: 758px) 100vw, 758px" /><figcaption>Moto Razr Fold</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Another highlight is the Moto Razr Fold, Lenovo’s first large-format foldable smartphone, previously showcased at MWC 2026. It comes powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 16GB RAM and a massive 6000mAh battery. With support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, it positions itself as a premium foldable priced at around €1999.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="638" height="650" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-118.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734924" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-118.png 638w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-118-294x300.png 294w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-118-412x420.png 412w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-118-356x364.png 356w" sizes="(max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px" /><figcaption>YOGA Air 14 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the productivity side, Lenovo will introduce the YOGA Air 14 Ultra, an ultra-lightweight AI PC weighing under 1kg. Designed for portability and premium usage, it emphasizes AI-driven features and a sleek design.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="687" height="686" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-119.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734925" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-119.png 687w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-119-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-119-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-119-421x420.png 421w" sizes="(max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px" /><figcaption>Legion Y900 tablet</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The event will also feature the Legion Y900 tablet, expected to blend gaming and productivity with AI enhancements, alongside the Legion Y7000X laptop, which targets users needing powerful CPU and GPU performance for both gaming and creative workloads.</p>

<p>Overall, Lenovo’s May 19 event reflects a clear strategy: unify gaming, productivity, and AI into a cohesive multi-device experience.</p>

<p><strong>Original story continues&#8230;</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmcohina.com/tag/lenovo">Lenovo</a> will unveil the Lenovo Legion Y70 smartphone <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/07/26/lenovo-legion-y70-design-teased-august-launch-confirmed/">on Aug. 13 in China</a>. Before launch, a couple of official images of the device have surfaced to give a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/08/01/lenovo-legion-y70-design-revealed/">good look at its design</a>.</p>
<p>The Legion branding reveals that the Legion Y70 will be a gaming phone. However, its images show that it will be a toned-down device as compared to the Legion Y90 that debuted in March 2022. The Chinese manufacturer has confirmed that the Y70 will come in three colors: Ice Soul White, Titanium Crystal Grey, and Flame Red. Among the three, the red variant sports a dual-tone design.</p>

Reports have revealed that its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/25/upcoming-lenovo-halo-legion-phone-with-new-snapdragon-flagship-chip-in-works-specifications-revealed/">codename is Halo</a>, and it may debut in China with the Legion Y70 moniker. A new Lenovo smartphone with an <a href="http://zd.taf.org.cn/#/equipmentDetail?code=R7qY3Tz3r2TqFXIIjr5xo6SFsQkmDpZ7YYrFj%2F402okro85w0VbDQZt79UKUm6%2FLARIsh2c%2BIclIM21tDj63ow%3D%3D">L71091 model number</a> has bagged approval from the TENAA authority of China. The certification has revealed the specifications and images of the device.</p>
<h3><strong>Lenovo Legion Y70 specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>
<p>The alleged Legion Y70 has 163.72 x 77.11 x 7.99mm dimensions and weighs around 205 grams. It is equipped with a 6.58-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>The device was recently spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. However, the clock speed of 3.0GHz mentioned in the TENAA listing does not match the chip. Tipster <a href="https://weibo.com/2430711645/LA4Drxdwo">WHYLAB</a> has claimed that it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_467928" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-467928" style="width: 960px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-467928" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Lenovo-Legion-Halo.jpg?x44794" alt="Lenovo Legion Y70 TENAA images" width="960" height="640" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Lenovo-Legion-Halo.jpg 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Lenovo-Legion-Halo-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Lenovo-Legion-Halo-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Lenovo-Legion-Halo-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Lenovo-Legion-Halo-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-467928" class="wp-caption-text">Lenovo Legion Y70 TENAA images</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>The Legion Y70 will come with 8 GB / 12 GB / 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB / 512 GB of internal storage. It has a 4,880mAh rated battery, which seemingly <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/07/lenovo-legion-halo-bags-3c-certification-launch-seems-imminent/">supports 68W fast charging</a>. It will come preinstalled with the Android 12 OS.</p>
<p>The Legion Y70’s image reveals a triple camera setup on its back panel. The TENAA listing confirms that it comprises a 50-megapixel main camera. A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/25/upcoming-lenovo-halo-legion-phone-with-new-snapdragon-flagship-chip-in-works-specifications-revealed/">previous report</a> revealed that the camera setup includes a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro/depth camera. It is expected to arrive in two colors: silver and grey. Now that the device has been TENAA certified, it is likely to break cover as early as next month (July) in China.</p>
