Lenovo is reportedly working on a toned-down version of the Legion Y90 gaming smartphone, which debuted in the first half of 2022 in China. Reports have revealed that its codename is Halo, and it may debut in China with the Legion Y70 moniker. A new Lenovo smartphone with an L71091 model number has bagged approval from the TENAA authority of China. The certification has revealed the specifications and images of the device.

Lenovo Legion Y70 specifications (rumored)

The alleged Legion Y70 has 163.72 x 77.11 x 7.99mm dimensions and weighs around 205 grams. It is equipped with a 6.58-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The device was recently spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. However, the clock speed of 3.0GHz mentioned in the TENAA listing does not match the chip. Tipster WHYLAB has claimed that it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

A previous report revealed that the camera setup includes a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro/depth camera. It is expected to arrive in two colors: silver and grey. Now that the device has been TENAA certified, it is likely to break cover as early as next month (July) in China.
