<p>Xiaomi is known for a wide variety of products other than smartphones. It is also one of the leading wearable brands.</p>

<p>The company sells different types of smartwatches, including a series targeted at kids. But this lineup largely remains exclusive to China.</p>

<p>Xiaomi’s kids smartwatch series uses ‘Mitu’ branding. According to a finding, the company will soon introduce a new model in the lineup.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mitu Kids Smartwatch 6X" class="wp-image-571412" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Xiaomi-Mitu-Kids-Smartwatch-6X.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi Mitu Kids Smartwatch 6X</figcaption></figure>

<p>An upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> wearable for kids has been spotted in the IMEI database by <a href="https://xiaomiui.net/xiaomi-kids-smart-watch-7x-spotted-on-gsma-imei-database-51662/"><em>Xiaomiui</em></a>. As per the listing, this product bears model number MTSB25XUN and will be officially called Mitu Kids Smartwatch 7X.</p>

<p>As the name suggests, it will be the successor of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/11/01/xiaomi-mi-rabbit-childrens-watch-6x-ultra-3d-floor-positioning-launched/">Mitu Kids Smartwatch 6X</a> from 2022. But unfortunately, the listing does not reveal anything about the device.</p>

<p>Given that the wearable has been listed in the IMEI database, it should have cellular connectivity, like the previous models. This will enable the wearers to make audio/video calls to parents/guardians, chat via WeChat/QQ, update real-time location, and more.</p>

<p>We can expect the product to have a sturdy design and come in attractive colors. It should be water-resistant and feature a camera and a microphone.</p>

<p>Going by its predecessor, the Mitu Kids Smartwatch 7X should also offer educational apps, contactless payment support, basic workout modes, and more. This device will likely be announced quietly via social media.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>has just launched a brand new product for children in China. The device in question is the MITU C7A, which is a kids smartwatch/Phone Watch that is an upgrade model of the older <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/22/xiaomi-launch-mitu-childrens-4g-phone-watch-5c/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MITU 5C Phone Watch </a>model. So let&#8217;s have a look.</p>

<h4>Xiaomi MITU C7A is a smartwatch with SIM support for Kids</h4>

<p>The Chinese tech giant&#8217;s latest entry in its MITU Phone Watch series is another smartwatch built for children that can act as a standalone device, independent from a partner smartphone. It sports a 1.4 inch square shaped TFT display that has a 240x240px resolution and supports SIM card for full 4G connectivity. Thanks to this, children can make HD video calls thanks to the built in camera as well. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/aa196087-7ac8-4b62-b1d5-cb20f1e1ee18-664x1024.webp?x10805" alt="Xiaomi" class="wp-image-537060" width="564" height="870" /></figure></div>

<p>The body is rated with IPX8 water resistance and also features silicone straps. Furthermore, the MITU C7A model is also waterproof, supports GPS positioning, has a long standby, and even supports XiaoAI assistant that is great for learning with XiaoAI Classmate functionality. Under the hood, a 950mAh battery pack runs the device, and the watch only weighs around 55 grams.</p>

<p>Other notable features include MITU&#8217;s exclusive customized system and a partner app for better controls for parents. As of right now, the MITU C7A Kids Phone Watch is available for pre-orders in the Chinese market via JD.com. This period will last till another 15 days. </p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Ever since Xiaomi started selling smartphones, it has been popular among the modding community. In fact, its devices are most favored by developers. That’s because Xiaomi is known for allowing bootloader unlock and releasing proper kernel sources, unlike most Chinese OEMs. Secondly, the company’s devices offer a better price to performance ratio and are also affordable when compared to products from other brands.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">If you are one of those custom ROM users of </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, you should be familiar with the fastboot screen on your devices. For years, this screen has had a picture of a rabbit fixing an Android with a blue-colored ‘FASTBOOT’ text below it. No other OEM has this sort of uniqueness. Unfortunately, the company has removed it in the latest MIUI Weekly Beta release.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to a report by </span><a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/588/729.htm"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">ITHome</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, Xiaomi has now replaced the image with a simple yellow-colored ‘FASTBOOT’ text for the fastboot screen in MIUI Beta 21.11.16 release. It is a known fact that the new changes in MIUI are first introduced in the weekly beta channel. However, not all of them make their way to the stable channel. If Xiaomi really intends to change the fastboot screen, it will be most likely be introduced with MIUI 13 update.</span></p>
<p><figure id="attachment_427143" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-427143" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-427143 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu-768x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi MIUI Fastboot Screen New Without Mi Bunny Mitu" width="696" height="928" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Xiaomi-MIUI-Fastboot-Screen-New-Without-Mi-Bunny-Mitu.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-427143" class="wp-caption-text">Xiaomi MIUI Fastboot Screen With A Simple Look</figcaption></figure></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi has been shedding its past as time moves on. The rabbit in the fastboot screen is none other than the company’s official mascot. It is known as </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Mitu/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mitu</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in China, while internationally it’s called </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Mi-Bunny/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi Bunny</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">In the past few years, Xiaomi has removed Mi Bunny (Mitu) from almost everywhere in international markets. It can be currently only seen in error pages on Mi.com, in addition to the fastboot screen, which is also going away.</span></p>

<p>MiTu Children&#8217;s Watch 2S supports AI real-time positioning, and can accurately pinpoint the user&#8217;s location, regardless of whether they&#8217;re indoors in large shopping malls, at high-speed rail stations or even on airfields. The built-in 600mAh battery paired with the watch&#8217;s low power chip means it can achieve up to 7 days of standby on a single charge.</p>
<p>The watch also has a built in AI assistant called a XiaoAI classmate. It features AI question answering, chatting, playing music, encyclopedic questioning, essentially things that most AI assistants can do. It also features the ability to stay silent during classes, which can be enabled through the MiTu app. This leaves it with only time checking and SOS messages. Overall, it&#8217;s a relatively solid watch for children, especially with the inexpensive price.</p>
