Motorola is expected to be working on the new Moto G Stylus (2024), which is set to launch later this year. But while no official announcements have been made, a fresh report has revealed the full design and key specifications of the device. The design was showcased in all its glory via leaked renders, so here’s everything we know so far.

Moto G Stylus 2024 Renders

The report arrives from Smartmania, who collaborated with known tipster Onleaks. As the name suggests, the Moto G Stylus 2024 is the successor to the 2023 version and we now have an idea regarding its design. A 360 degree video was also shared which highlighted the entire design of the smartphone. The front houses a center aligned punch hole cutout for a selfie shooter. The display is also surrounded by minimal bezels.

Meanwhile, the rear packs a dual camera setup with an LED flash unit on a raised camera module. At the bottom, a USB-Type C port can be found along with a 3.5mm headphone hack and a slot to house the integrated stylus. The model seen in the renders was the black color option. Apparently, the device features a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back while the front houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Moto G Stylus 2024 is rumored to sport a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel that offers Full HD+ resolution and likely offers a high refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset that may be paired with 128GB of internal storage. It will likely run on the Android 13 operating system out of the box and may support 5G, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The device may be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack, offer water resistance coating, 190 grams of weight, and 8.09mm in thickness.

The Moto G Stylus (2022) was launched only a couple of months back but Motorola will soon be selling another variant of the device, this time with support for 5G.

Design-wise, both phones look the same from what we can tell, but the upcoming 5G variant packs a significantly more powerful chipset in the form of the Snapdragon 695, whose octa-core CPU is paired with the Adreno 619 GPU. Storage configs that’ll be available are unknown as of yet but Evan Blass (via 91mobiles) has revealed that the standard memory configuration consists of 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM alongside 128GB of storage.

Motorola phones typically have ever so slightly taller displays than your typical bezel-less smartphone, and the Moto G Stylus 5G has a display with an unconventional 1080×2460 resolution. Sized 6.78-inches, the LCD panel supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and houses a 16MP selfie camera within a center-aligned punch-hole. Its brightness peaks out at 650nits.

The rear camera module is made up of a 50MP primary unit, an 8MP secondary unit for ultrawide shots, and a 2MP depth sensor, which is identical to the 4G Moto G Stylus. For charging, there’s a USB-C port at the bottom, which is joined by a headphone jack.

The device looks rather thick, which is quite expected considering it houses a stylus inside along with a large 5,000mAh battery.

Just take the aforementioned specifications with a pinch of salt as none of them look officially confirmed as of yet.

Motorola’s Moto G Stylus 2022 seems to be inching closer to its release as the device was leaked several times. Only recently, the phone’s design was revealed in the form of renders, and a few weeks back, its specs were outed. Now, the popular leaker Evan Blass has leaked the phone’s promo video.

As per the promo video, the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2022 has a punch-hole display with thin bezels on all three sides, except for the bottom. The device has a triple camera array placed vertically at the rear. It is advertised to have Night Vision mode for its rear camera. The phone has a single selfie snapper.

Two of the phone’s major highlights will be the built-in Stylus-Pen support and a 2-day battery. The promo video shows the real-life usage of the Stylus-Pen, wherein, it can be used for sketches and for highlighting/marking certain things in pictures. The 2-day battery, as advertised will be courtesy of the 5,000mAh battery.

Apart from this, previous reports have already detailed the specs sheet of the phone. The device will feature a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a 90H screen refresh rate. It will have a 50MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth unit.

In terms of core hardware, it will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. We expect it to come with a microSD card slot for additional storage. The 5,000mAh battery will have a 10W standard charging speed. The phone will run on Android 11 OS out of the box.

Back in June, Motorola announced the Moto G Stylus 5G in the US. It offered Stylus-Pen support and Snapdragon 480 SoC at an affordable price. Coming to the end of this year, the rumours for a new stylus phone dubbed Moto G Stylus 2022 were up in the air. Last time, the phone’s renders were leaked in the Black colour variant and now, the device has appeared in another shade.

According to the renders(courtesy – Prepp), the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2022 edition will come with a flat-screen display. It seems to have a large punch-hole panel with the selfie camera cut-out at the top middle as compared to the predecessor’s left-side camera cut-out. The phone seems to have a side-facing fingerprint scanner which hints that the device may have an LCD screen and not an OLED panel.

It also has the volume rocker above the side fingerprint reader which apparently also doubles up as a power button. Moving to the rear, the device has a triple camera system and rumours reveal that it is a 48MP sensor. We expect the other sensor to be an ultra-wide and a tertiary lens. The phone also has a Motorola brand at the rear.

Previously, the smartphone was touted to come with a 6.81-inch display and have a Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset. The device is tipped to house either a 4,500mAh or a 5,000mAh battery cell. It is expected to run on Android 12 out of the box.

Motorola has proven itself to be a giant phonemaker for the mid-tier segment of the market. The company is continuing to be a frontrunner with the unveiling of the new G Stylus, G Power and G Play 2021 models. The three new G-series mid-rangers are packed with several exciting features, which the company aims will retain its share of the market and even make inroads into other areas. All three models can be ordered today, but only the G Play 2021 is ready to ship, with the G Stylus 2021 and G Power 2021 coming on board in a week’s time.

The Moto G Stylus 2021 has a 6.8-inch 1080p display, which holds the record as the largest G-series model yet, comes with a “push-pen” stylus, having a clickable top that makes it possible to pull it out of its sheath inside the phone. The stylus can be used to sketch stuff or highlight text and quickly copy it to another app. A Snapdragon 678 which runs on Android 10 provides seamless operation of the Stylus-specific custom software like the Moto Note app.
The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage (with a microSD slot option). The battery has 4,000 mAh capacity and supports only the standard 10W for charging.

The camera has a 48MP main sensor together with an 8MP ultrawide (118°), 2MP macro and an additional 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP module having pixel binning support. The main camera is capable of recording 4K 30 fps videos, while the ultra wide and selfie cameras can shoot hyperlapses.

The build of the G Stylus is plastic and it is designed for some waterproof capabilities, although no IP rating was provided.

The Moto G Stylus 2021 sells at $300 and can be ordered right away, although the first units will be shipped from January 13.

The Moto G Power 2021 has a larger capacity battery but a smaller screen when matched with the G Stylus, in addition to the absence of the stylus. The battery is 5,000 mAh and can last up to 3 days on a single full charge, which is quite higher than that of the Stylus, which can only last two days.

It comes with a 10W charger although it has support for 15W charging, with the right power charging device. It is powered by Snapdragon 662 chipset, and has options of 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage (with a free microSD slot for memory expansion). With a lower screen resolution (720P), it has a main 48MP camera, limited to 1080p resolution for videos. Also, the ultrawide module is absent, while the two 2MP modules are retained.

The new G Power sells for $250, while shipping begins from January 13.

The Moto G Play 2021 comes in the rear as the least expensive of the three models at $170 and sales and shipment begin today. It is a 6.5” IPS LCD with 720p resolution with Android 10 operating system, running on a Snapdragon 460 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage (and a microSD slot).

The battery is at par with the G Power at 5,000 mAh and 10W USB-C charging. All three G-series phones have 3.5 mm jacks and they all lack NFC.

The camera features a 13MP main camera (1080p/60fps video), a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP selfie camera. The selfie camera is in a notch instead of a punch hole as the other three, underlining that this is the low budget edition.

Holiday shopping has begun already and if phones are part of what you plan to hand out as gifts this year, then you may want to look towards Motorola’s lineup.

The US arm of the Lenovo-owned company has announced a discount of up to $100 on its Moto G series alongside some other models. Below are some of the notable ones:

Moto G Stylus

The Moto G Stylus launched earlier this year and specs of a successor have already been leaked. The phone which had a launch price of $299 can now be purchased for $199. That price gets you a phone with a 6.4-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 665 processor 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 48MP triple rear cameras, and a 4000mAh battery. As the name says, you also get a stylus along with some cool software features such as a notification when the stylus has not been reinserted after a while.

The phone is known as the Moto G Pro in Germany with slightly different features and a promise it will get Android 11 and Android 12, so we expect the US version will receive the same treatment.

Moto G Power

The Moto G Power which has a similar design and uses the same processor as the Moto G Stylus is also on sale. It launched for $249 in February but can be picked up for $179.99 now. While it has just 64GB of storage, you still get 4GB of RAM. There is a MicroSD card slot for adding up to an additional 512GB of storage. It has also got 16MP+8MP+2MP triple rear cameras, a 16MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, and a 5000mAh battery that should last up to days on a single charge.

Moto G Fast

Want something even more affordable? Then the Moto G Fast should do it for you. This phone, which also has a Snapdragon 665 processor as the ones above but 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, launched in the US in June for $200. Right now, Motorola is selling it for $149.99.

Other features are a 6.4-inch HD+ screen, triple rear cameras, a 4000mAh battery, a water-repellent coating, and a fingerprint scanner. The phone also runs Android 10 out of the box.

Motorola has not said how long the prices will be discounted but you should hurry as the stock may be limited. All phones are available on Motorola’s website.

The Moto G Pro has landed in Germany and it has a stylus. No, this is not another Motorola phone with a stylus but a rebadged Moto G Stylus.

The Moto G Pro packs a 6.4-inch Max Vision display with a punch-hole at the top left corner. The IPS display has a 19.2:9 aspect ratio and a 2300 x 1080 resolution.

Motorola ships the phone with a Snapdragon 665 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. A 4000mAh battery with a promised 2-day battery life and support for 15W TurboPower charging is included (18W charger included).

The Moto G Pro has triple rear cameras. The main sensor is a 48MP f/1.7 camera with Quad Pixel technology. There is also a 16MP Action Camera with a 117° field of view, and a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor. The phone is packed with lots of camera features including portrait mode, time-lapse, and cinemagraph mode.

The highlight of the Moto G Pro is its stylus which allows the user to take down notes, draw, design, and edit. There is a slot for it on the bottom right corner of the device.

The phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and also has an audio jack. There is NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and support for two nano SIMs. The Moto G Pro is an Android One phone and it runs Android 10 out of the box. Motorola has promised two Android upgrades, so it should get Android 11 and Android 12.

The Moto G Pro is available for pre-order on Amazon Germany for €329.99. It comes in a single color variant called Mystic Indigo. The Amazon page says it will be available on June 19.

A few days ago, Motorola launched the Moto G Stylus: the only last-generation smartphone with a stylus if we exclude the Samsung Galaxy Note series. It does not offer the pressure sensitivity and all those amazing features of the S Pen, but it is available at an affordable price since it is a mid-ranger. This is a comparison between the new handset and two of its most interesting rivals: Oppo F15 and Poco X2. Does the new Motorola’s mid-ranger offer a higher value for money than its concurrence? Design

Xiaomi Poco X2 offers the most premium design if we talk about materials. It is the only to come with both an aluminum frame and a glass back. And all the glasses on the phone are protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Motorola Moto G Stylus has a 6000 series aluminum frame, but its rear side is made of plastic. On the other hand, it is splash resistant. Despite it is an elegant and minimal phone, Oppo F15 has a full plastic design. But the Oppo F15 is slimmer and lighter.

Display

While Oppo F15 does not shine for its materials, it is definitely amazing when it comes to the display. It sports a Full HD+ AMOLED panel with high brightness and an under-display fingerprint reader. It even has the best memory configuration with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage which you can furtherly expand through a micro SD slot. Just like the Moto G Stylus, Poco X2 comes with Android 10 out of the box (customized by MIUI), while Oppo F15 is still based on Android Pie. Note that Poco X2 and Oppo F15 both come with UFS 2.1 internal storage, while Moto G Stylus has an eMMC storage.

Camera

Poco X2 has the most complete camera department including a 64 MP quad camera on the rear and a dual front camera with a depth sensor. But Moto G Stylus is still an amazing camera phone, with great autofocus and a very nice video quality. On the paper, Oppo F15 is inferior.

Battery

Thanks to its bigger battery, the Poco X2 will be able to offer a longer battery life on a single charge. And it even has a faster charging technology, so you do not have to worry about charging times despite the bigger capacity.

Price

Motorola Moto G Stylus hitten the shelves with a €270/$295 price tag in the configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, Oppo F15 is available for about €355/$388 in the 8/128 GB configuration, and Poco X2 starts from just €205/$225 in the 6/64 GB variant. Overall, Poco X2 looks like a more complete device with its better chipset, great cameras, bigger battery, great software, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. And it is even a smartphone with a higher value for money, but you should note that these devices are sold in different markets, so it is currently impossible to make a fair price comparison.

Motorola is still in celebration mood as a result of the sales of the Moto G series exceeding 100 million units. The US company has now launched to new G series models to commemorate this monumental feat. The Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus were announced today for the US and Canada markets. The two models are not really new as they have been keeping the tech media space buzzing from several weeks running. However, Motorola dropped the number from the name, opting for G instead of G8.

Both the Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus ar premium mid-range models bt the G Stylus is on top of the line. This isn’t as a result of only the Stylus pen which it bundles along but also due to better camera setup.

The Motorola Moto G Power sports a 6.4-inch LCD display with a FullHD+resolution of 1080p and a punch-hole camera. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and there is 64GB of storage onboard. Motorola has trimmed down the bezels a little this year, but there’s still a noticeable “chin” below the screen.

The G Power packs a mammoth 5,000mAh battery which Motorola says should get you about three days on a full charge. The device utilises a plastic body and is equipped with stereo speakers. The device has a thickness of 9.63mm. The phone also packs a fingerprint sensor at the back embedded with the Moto logo. There is equally a headphone jack onboard.

For photography, the Moto G Power packs a triple camera setup arranged vertically at the top left corner. The camera includes a  16MP main sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter (118-degrees). The samples shared by Motorola shows the camera setup has some prospect.

The Moto G Stylus packs a similar plastic chassis under a similar 6.4-inch LCD FHD+ display. The fingerprint sensor, processor, and RAM are similar to those of the G Power. But the 4GB RAM teams up with 128GB of internal storage. The device also packs a smaller 4000mAh battery which isn’t too bad. Despite having a stylus pen, the G Stylus is slightly thinner at 9.2mm. Talking of the stylus, it is located at the bottom right edge f the display and it has to be removed manually as there is no pop-up mechanism.

On the camera aspect, the G Stylus features a triple camera setup as well, but the sensors are a bit different. The only camera the new G phones share is the 2MP macro lens. There’s a 48MP main sensor on the G Stylus that defaults to “quad-pixel” binned images at 12MP. Plus, the pixels are larger at 1.6μm compared to the Power’s 1.12μm pixels. There’s also a 16MP action cam with a 117-degree field-of-view. Like the One Action from last year, you can hold the phone vertically and capture landscape video. There’s a button to toggle between “regular” video and the action cam video

Pricing and Availability
The new Moto G models are expected to be released in the US and Canada sometime in the Spring. The G Power will retail for $249.99 while the G Stylus will cost $299.99.

Motorola‘s Moto G series is undoubtedly its most popular series. Little wonder the Lenovo-owned company recently rolled out the drums to celebrate the cumulative sales of over 100 million G-series units. Tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has released a picture containing the real renders of the three Moto G8 models.

The renders show the Moto G8 models will all pack a full-screen design with a punch-hole screen housing the front camera. The tipster says the renders are for the three models which means they will all have the same design, save for some few differences. The Moto G8 seems to have a slightly bigger chunk of bezel at the chin. All three models feature a punch-hole at the top left corner that houses the selfie shooter. At the rear, the models pack a quad camera setup. A fingerprint sensor seems to be embedded under the logo at the back.

As for the expected specs, the Moto G8 is tipped to come with a 6.39-inch display with support for 720 x 1560 pixels HD+ resolution. The G8 Power could be coming with a 6.36-inch display with support for 1080 x 2300 pixels full HD resolution. Both models are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 665 mobile platform.

On the other hand, the Moto G Stylus will have a 6.36-inch 2300 x 1080 display with a hole in the top left corner for the selfie camera. There will be a Snapdragon 665 processor inside and it will be paired with 64GB or 128GB of storage. The device is said to have a Stylus pen, hence the name.

The G8-series is expected to all run Android 10 out of the box. Motorola is yet to disclose when the models will be launched.

It is no longer news that Motorola plans to announce a phone with a stylus. The device which will launch as the Moto G Stylus has been in the news a lot lately. Now a new leak reveals the full spec sheet as well as features of the stylus and a render of the device.

The Moto G Stylus will have a 6.36-inch 2300 x 1080 display with a hole in the top left corner for the selfie camera. There will be a Snapdragon 665 processor inside and it will be paired with 64GB or 128GB of storage. There is no mention of storage expansion but XDA Developers reports that the phone will come in single SIM and dual-SIM variants

With respect to cameras, it turns out the Moto G Stylus has three sensors on its back and not four. We erroneously reported it has four cameras but on closer inspection, the fourth hole actually houses a laser focus system and not a sensor.

The primary camera is a 48MP f/1.7 Samsung S5KGM1 camera and it is paired with a 16MP f/2.2 117° wide-angle “Action Cam”. The wide-angle camera is the same one that debuted on the Motorola One Action. The camera allows users to record wide-angle videos even though the phone is held in portrait mode. The third sensor is a 2MP f/2.2 macro camera. Motorola has put a 25MP f/2.0 camera in front for selfies.

The Moto G Stylus has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 4000mAh battery. While we expect it to have support for at least 15W fast charge, it is said that the FCC filing for the device says it supports just 10W fast charge.

The phone will have NFC in some regions while other regions will miss out on the feature. What is consistent across all markets is that it will run Android 10 out of the box.

The phone will have four regional variants – North America, Latin America, China, and an international variant.

The source also mentions some software features of the phone. The Moto G Stylus will have an app that can be configured to launch an app or shortcut when the stylus is removed from its slot. There is also a feature called “Moto Note” whose function doesn’t need to be explained. However, it has been revealed that users will be able to erase with a finger while using the stylus. They will also be able to add a watermark with a date on written notes.

This app will also record the time and location you removed the stylus and send you a notification if the stylus has not been reinserted after a certain duration. This way, you can keep track of the location of the stylus.

The Moto G Stylus is the name of Motorola’s upcoming mid-range phone with a stylus. Reports say the phone is based on the Moto G8 Power, and now live photos of the phone have surfaced on the web.

The images were posted on Twitter by a user that goes by Gustavo Gonzalez who seems to have gotten his hands on a production unit. The images confirm the Moto G Stylus indeed has a punch hole at the top left corner of the screen for the selfie camera.

We also get a look at the stylus, which as expected is just basic and doesn’t have any special features. One of the images shows the phone’s lockscreen with multiple notifications in Spanish. But the striking ones are the first and second which translate into “Finish setting up your moto g (7)” and “If you are not using the pencil, insert it back into your device” respectively.

The first one says the phone is the Moto G7 which is surprising but since this is a prototype unit, we presume it is running unfinished software. The second message confirms that the phone has a slot for the stylus, though not visible in any of the images, and will notify you when it is not inserted and not in use.

In another set of live photos, this time from 91 Mobiles, the rear of the Moto G Stylus is visible and we can see it has four rear cameras, one of which is a 48MP sensor. The image also shows it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Indian tech blog also includes some specifications of the phone, reported to have been gotten from their sources. It says the Moto G Stylus will have a screen size of 6.3 or 6.4 inches with a 1080p resolution. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 600 series processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is also stated that it likely has a 4000mAh battery capacity and support for fast charge.

The Moto G Stylus has also been seen on Geekbench today and the benchmark result confirms it has 4GB of RAM, a Qualcomm chipset, and runs Android 10.

Last week, a press render of a Motorola phone with a stylus was leaked on the web. The phone has been erroneously referred to as the Motorola Edge+, another upcoming Motorola phone, by several publications. Now the same source that revealed the image has revealed the official name of the device.

Popular leaker, Evan Blass (@evleaks) has revealed the Motorola phone with a stylus will launch as the Moto G Stylus. This not only confirms the name but also shows that the phone will belong to the mid-range category. But that is not all there is to know about the device.

The editor-in-chief of XDA Developers,  Mishaal Rahman, did some extra digging and found more details about the phone.

Apparently, the Moto G Stylus has model number XT2043-4. He decided to look it up on the FCC’s database and found out that the phone is codenamed “sofia+”. That codename is similar to that of the Moto G8 Power which is “sofiar”, and thus came to the conclusion that the Moto G Stylus is a variant of the Moto G8 Power.

Using that, I looked it up on the FCC https://t.co/yIaqu9rUoS and identified the phone as code-name "sofia+". This confirms the Moto G Stylus is a variant of the Moto G8 Power, which itself is code-named "sofiar."

Alleged specs of the Moto G8 Power include a 6.36-inch FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 665 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It has also been reported that it will have 16MP quad rear cameras, a 25MP selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W Turbo Charging. It will also run Android 10 out of the box.
