Motorola‘s Moto G6 real life pictures have made a surprise appearance on TENAA. The live pictures were put on display by the Chinese Telecoms certification agency but the specifications were not disclosed. We believe the full certification page would go live any moment from now with the specs in tow.

The Moto G6 recently got network certified in Thailand and Indonesia which is an indication that its launch is imminent. This TENAA appearance could be seen as reaffirming that stance. Apart from TENAA, the Moto G6 was allegedly listed on Amazon but the page was later pulled down. That wasn’t before a screenshot of the product page was grabbed, though.

The Moto G6 is listed to feature a 5.7-inch FullHD+ display with 2160 x 1080p resolution and a dimension of 154.5×72.2×8.3mm. There will be an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz at the helm of affairs and that is believed to be a Snapdragon 450 chipset going by previous leaks. The processor will be paired with a 4GB RAM while a 3000mAh battery will keep the lights on. The device will also pack dual rear cameras comprising a 12MP main sensor + 5MP secondary sensor. There is no word yet on when the G6 line up will be officially unveiled.

Lenovo’s Motorola brand has got a handful of new models which would be released this year. The models spread across the flagship range to midrange models and even budget phones. The Z17 series caters for the flagship while the G series is Motorola’s midrange army, then there is the budget E series.

Moto’s 2018 G series models will be called G6 and G6 Play. The Moto G6 has just been benchmarked on Geekbench with some of its key specs revealed. Notable among the specs is the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The G6 is also shown to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The SD 450 Chip was announced last year by Qualcomm. The The SD450 mobile platform uses leading-edge 14 nm technology to power premium experiences in high-tier smartphones without draining the battery. It comes with features like support for real time Bokeh camera effects, integrated X9 LTE, and an Adreno 506 GPU. The chipset is designed to provide fast connectivity, vibrant displays, and performance that’s both powerful and efficient. The benchmark score shows a considerably higher score than the SD430. On the single core test, SD 450 scored 709 points while it’s multi-core test is 3582. The Moto G6 Play was recently spotted on Geekbench confirming the presence of a Snapdragon 430 mobile platform. The single core score of the G6 Play stood at 472 points while the multi-core score is 1801 points.

The G6 is thus an higher model than the G6 Play. Previous leaks tied the device to also feature NFC, as well as a 3000mAh battery. The device will come with a dual camera setup at the rear with the second sensor likely being a Boehner sensor. The device will be launched sometime in Q2 2018 and it will come with a Rs. 15,000 (~$234) price tag.

Hello Moto fans! Here’s one leak that you might find interesting. A tipster has leaked yet another render of the expected Moto G6 on Twitter. Not only that, he also revealed some juicy details of Motorola’s 2018 smartphone offerings, including their names and Touch ID locations.

The Moto G6 has been a regular in leaks over the past few weeks. The G6 series comprises of the G6, G6 Play and G6 Plus but this leaked render (pictured above) is said to be that of the Moto G6 and we can confirm that to some extent based on previous leaks.The Moto series are all said to feature the 18:9 aspect ratio and we can see that in the render. The renders also feature a dual rear camera with a unique design.

More importantly, the leak also includes details of Motorola 2018 smartphones and the tipster attributed the leaked details to Alibaba suppliers. This year, the smartphones that Motorola would be launching is given to include the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus. Others include the Moto E5, Moto X5, Moto Z3 Play and the Moto Z3. On the location of touch ID, the Moto G6 Plus and G6 Play are detailed to pack a front fingerprint sensor while the Moto G6 will have a rear-mounted one. The Moto E5 is also listed as featuring a rear fingerprint sensor as well as the Moto Z3 Play packs a side fingerprint sensor. Also of interests are the Moto X5 and Moto Z3 which are said to utilise 3D Front Facing Camera (FFC) as their own Face ID unlock technology. The source stated that it is unclear if they would still pack a fingerprint sensor and the location of the sensor. Motorola is expected to announce a couple of its latest offerings including the G6 series later this month at Mobile World Congress 2018 which begins on February 26 but a number of the listed models are likely a long way from being launched. That is if they are indeed in existence.
