We have just 4 days to the launch of the OnePlus 3 and CEO Pete Lau aka Liu Zuohu has decided to whet our appetite by posting a night shot of the OnePlus 3. We’ve been getting a steady stream of camera samples of the OnePlus 3 and this is probably not going to be the last.

The picture is an outdoor one of a fireworks show and it does look impressive. The color reproduction is good,  noise reduction is great, and we can see the blacks are well reproduced.

The OnePlus 3 is going to sport a 5.5″ FHD screen; 4GB or 6GB of RAM and possibly multiple ROM configurations (32GB, 64GB, and 128GB); a Snapdragon 820 processor; 16MP rear camera capable of shooting in 4k and 8MP for selfies; NFC, fingerprint scanner; and a 3000mAh battery. Pricing is said to start at 1999 Yuan.

OnePlus has a tradition of hyping its flagship device before launch. This year is no exception, with the company promoting the upcoming OnePlus 3 in full spirit. We know that the OnePlus 3 will have several pop-up events in major cities around the world wherein you can purchase the device. We also know that the phone went for sale in limited quantities in China (shipping on June 15) for $450. Well, hardly anyone got hold of the unit in China since it was reportedly sold out in a second.

We also have seen a few camera samples taken by the company CEO. But now, OnePlus’s official twitter account has shared some wonderful images taken from the OnePlus 3. From the images, it looks like the phone’s been travelling, which is good, because we get to see some great shots from the device. Unfortunately, they aren’t full size, so we can’t judge the real quality until we get the original samples. However, from what we can see, the pictures have very good amount of detail and the color reproduction is good as well. We also saw an image of night time firework, which reveals good amount of light and hardly any noise. Check out the four samples from down below.

The phone is expected to come with a 16MP sensor at the back and an 8MP shooter up front. Not much details about the device’s camera are available yet, but the official announcement on June 14 should confirm additional details about the sensor inside.

OnePlus 3 is expected to be unveiled sometime early June, and the company has already starting hyping the device before its launch. We know that the company will continue the tradition of launching its smartphone in VR, as the OP3 will be unveiled in the company’s virtual space station called the Loop. Now, the CEO of OnePlus, Liu Zuohu aka Pete Lau has given us a first picture taken by the OnePlus 3 flagship.

The picture is taken from the front camera of the phone, which should be an 8MP sensor. While we can’t be sure of the lighting conditions when the photo was taken, it looks like the camera has done a decent job of capturing even the dark areas. But we would have liked the image to be clearer.

The company seems to have adopted a new sales strategy this year. For example, the OnePlus 3 launch will include the world’s first VR shopping experience, which allows viewers to purchase the device before anyone else when in virtual reality. So, it looks like OnePlus is finally ditching the invite system for good. The company also gave away 30,000 Loop VR headsets to its fans worldwide yesterday which can be used to watch the event. But the event can be viewed with any standard VR headset.

Off late Chinese Smartphone industry has matured to a great extent. The configuration and quality of devices can easily be compared to flagships of major global brands. Every device that comes out has top notch hardware, however, what these phones lack in, if at all, is the quality research that goes into creating a perfect device.

Over the period of time and after gaining experience in the market brands like, Xiaomi, Huawei etc. have started innovating. For Instance, Mi 5 has an incredible 4-axis image stabilisation technology which produces amazingly stable videos and images even if the device is highly mobile. Huawei P9 is a dual camera phone with Lecia certification!! The Meizu PRO 6 is not far behind, as the phone is equipped with ten ring flash at the back. These sort of innovative products come with experience and these three, Mi, Meizu and Huawei are leading in innovation.

Another young brand that is quietly innovating and is trying to come up with a really good all-round device is OnePlus. Yesterday evening, OnePlus CEO, Liu Zuohu aka Pete Lau posted a photo on his microblogging a/c with a caption “Park”. On first look, one may simply ignore this as a random shot. But if you closely see the image, then you realise that it is captured with a mobile device. Now relate the same with the upcoming OnePlus 3 for a moment and everything falls in place.

This image has near perfect Depth of Field or Bokeh Effect, the details captured, colour reproduction is worth noticing. Is Liu Zuohu trying to hint that the highlight of “OnePlus 3” will be its camera? Prior to this post as well we know that OnePlus is working on its next flagship which is most likely to be launched in May, thus his post becomes very relevant.

What we already know about OnePlus 3 is that it will have Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB ram along with 64GB internal storage. It may come with 2 memory option, like its predecessors. It will have an 8MP front and 16 MP rear camera and will support full NetCom. Other features may include a fingerprint sensor and fast charge.  But for the price will OnePlus still continue with around $300 for the OnePlus 3 ?
