OnePlus is gearing up to launch the Nord 2T 5G smartphone in India. It is set to be unveiled on July 1 in a launch event. Now, a new report has surfaced revealing the sale date of the smartphone.

According to MySmartPrice, the OnePlus Nord 2T will be available for purchase in India starting June July 5th from 12 PM. It will be available to purchase on Amazon, OnePlus.in, and OnePlus Stores across India.

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G in Europe last month. Leaker Abhishek Yadav has now tipped the launch date and the first sale date of the Nord 2T 5G for India. A couple of reports have claimed that it will be debuting this month in India. However, the new leak suggests that it will debut next month in the country.

According to Yadav, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G will be launching on July 1 in India. He added the first sale of the device will be carried out on July 5. Now, PassionateGeekz has spotted the smartphone on the OnePlus India website confirming that it will be available in four versions (Two colors, Two storage). Going by the recent report, the device will likely be available in Shadow Grey and Jade Fog color options. As for the storage and memory variants, the device will likely come in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations.

Last month, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G smartphone in some European regions. The smartphone has also been rumored for the Indian market, and now, we finally have a launch timeline.

Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz), citing industry sources has stated that the device will launch in India sometime in the month of June. The report does not give an exact launch date, but considering we are already in June, it will likely be revealed soon.

As the device is already on shelves in multiple regions, we already know all of its specifications and features. The device has a 6.43-inch flat AMOLED display panel with an FHD+ resolution and support for a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a punch-hole cutout on the top left and the fingerprint scanner is located on the power button.

Under the hood, the device houses a 5G enabled MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. OnePlus is all set to launch its new smartphone under the Nord series tomorrow, i.e. 19th May, dubbed as OnePlus Nord 2T. This upcoming launch event is for the European market and the Indian market.

The event, which is named Speed Games by the company, will take place on 19th May at 4:00 PM CEST or 7:30 PM IST. Also, the event will be live-streamed on the company’s official YouTube channel.

OnePlus is yet to officially unveil the Nord 2T but more details about the upcoming device are trickling in. The OnePlus Nord 2T has been the subject of much speculation ahead of its scheduled May 19 announcement. The company has now confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2T will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 chipset.

The Dimensity 1300 SoC was unveiled a few weeks back. It is expected that the OnePlus Nord 2T will pip other devices as the first to use the new chipset. The Dimensity 1300 offers some improvements from the Dimensity 1200. Both chips are produced through a 6nm process and the new chip has four Cortex A-78 cores, four A55 cores, with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 is produced from TSMC foundries.

In the buildup to the official announcement of the Nord 2T, OnePlus releases daily details about the device. OnePlus is planning to launch a new mid-range smartphone in the global market. The upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T has already appeared on AliExpress and in a recent hands-on video.

The device has now made an appearance on Geekbench with model number CPH2399. The listing revealed that the device comes powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC accompanied by 8GB of RAM. It operates on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1.

Jumping straight to the benchmarks, the device scores 474 points on the single-core test and 2933 points on Geekbench 5’s multi-core test.

The OnePlus Nord 2T is an upcoming mid-range smartphone by OnePlus. It was recently spotted on the NBTC certification website confirming the moniker.

Now, the OnePlus Nord 2T has been listed on AliExpress ahead of its launch, confirming all of its specifications and design.

Talking about the design, it is pretty much in line with the earlier revealed render of the Nord 2T. It features a 6.43-inch flat AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. It has a punch hole on the top left and slim bezels.

On the back, it has a rectangular camera island with two circular cutouts for the primary and auxiliary cameras. On the left side, it houses a volume rocker while the right side is occupied by the power button and what appears to be the iconic alert slider.

The listing on AliExpress confirms the Dimensity 1300 SoC on the smartphone. The SoC comes coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Earlier this year, a massive leak revealed almost the entire spec sheet of the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, leaving nothing but the price to speculation. But that changes today with yet another leak which says that the phone’s base variant will cost below Rs 35,000.

The info comes from tipster @Shadow_Leak on Twitter who also shared the already-known specifications of the Nord 2T. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300, which looks to be the successor of the Dimensity 1200. The Dimensity 1200 was actually MediaTek’s most powerful smartphone chip last year before it was dethroned with the announcement of the Dimensity 9000 in December 2021.

And if the past is any indication, then the Dimensity 1300 will be an upper mid-range offering and will be fair enough for a sub-Rs 35,000 phone.
