Now is the turn for the OPPO Find X2 Lite.

If you recall, the OPPO Find X2 Lite launched in April 2020 with Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset and came with ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 OS. So, the Android 11 stable update seems to be the first major update for the device.

Speaking of which, the report by Piunikaweb says that users of OPPO Find X2 Lite are getting a new update in Germany. The update has a firmware version CPH2005_11_C.76 and brings ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.

The rollout is said to be an initial one so expect the other regions to pick it up in the coming days. Talking about features, the ColorOS 11 brings a lot of UI customizations, OPPO Relax 2.0, FlexDrop, and more. If you want to know the entire features of the ColorOS 11, you can read our extensive coverage on the same.

Earlier this month, OPPO announced the ColorOS 11 update rollout plan for the month of March. The list had several devices including the OPPO Find X2 Lite smartphone and it was supposed to receive it in the Netherlands.

The list also had other devices like the OPPO F15 and Reno 10x Zoom and both of them have already received the ColorOS 11 stable update in their respective regions. If you are living in Germany, you can try out the new update by navigating to the software update section in the settings.

But is it the truth or you can get something better in the actual market? In order to find it out, we are comparing the new handsets with all the 5G phones released in the same price range. After comparing it to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and the Moto G 5G Plus, now it is time for two other affordable 5G phones sold in the global market. If we exclude the Huawei P40 Lite 5G, there are two other Chinese 5G affordable phones sold globally for less than €500. We are referring to the Realme X50 5G and the Oppo Find X2 Lite. Are they better than OnePlus Nord in terms of quality-price ratio? Let’s discover it together.

Design

At first glance, you may think that the Oppo Find X2 Lite has a less interesting design because it comes with a waterdrop notch instead of a punch-hole display. But the truth is that the Oppo Find X2 Lite is the device with the most premium design of this comparison. It comes with a glass back and an aluminum frame just like flagships, it is the most compact device and it is even thinner and lighter than Realme X50 5G and OnePlus Nord. So, despite it is more anonymous, you get a definitely better build quality. Unfortunately, it is not dual SIM, while OnePlus Nord and Realme X50 5G sport a dual SIM slot.

Display

If you want the best display overall, choose the OnePlus Nord without thinking twice. You get a lower refresh rate than Realme X50 5G (90 Hz vs 120 Hz), but unlike the X50, you get an AMOLED panel with the HDR10+ certification which provides a way higher image quality. We do not recommend the Oppo Find X2 Lite more than the OnePlus Nord because it lacks a high refresh rate, but it still comes with a great AMOLED panel. Unfortunately, Realme X50 5G has an IPS display with inferior image quality, but you get a 120 Hz refresh rate and, if you are a gamer, it might be a better option for you.

Hardware/Software

OnePlus Nord, Oppo Find X2 Lite, and Realme X50 5G are all powered by the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform including 5G connectivity. But with the OnePlus Nord, you can get a higher-end memory configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, if you spend a bit more. In the global market, Realme X50 5G is 6/128 GB, while Oppo Find X2 Lite is 8/128 GB. Note that Oppo Find X2 Lite is the only with a 3.5 mm audio jack. Realme X50 5G and Oppo Find X2 Lite have a similar customized UI based on Android 10, while OnePlus Nord is different with its Oxygen OS close to stock Android.

Camera

The OnePlus Nord takes the gold medal even when it comes to the camera department. It is the only one to feature OIS for the main cameras, and it has a better front camera department including a 32 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. But you should note that Oppo Find X2 Lite is very close, even better in several scenarios. If you want an above-average camera phone, just do not choose the Realme X50 5G.

Battery

Realme X50 5G has a bigger battery, but it does not mean that it lasts more on a single charge. We had no chance to test all of these devices, but according to us, Oppo Find X2 Lite may last more in a lot of scenarios due to its smaller display with a standard refresh rate and the AMOLED technology.

Price

OnePlus Nord is priced €399/$469 in its base variant, Realme X50 5G starts from €369/$435, and Oppo Find X2 Lite costs €499/$589. The OnePlus Nord looks like the most complete device in this comparison thanks to its great display and cameras, but do not forget that Oppo Find X2 Lite offers better build quality and the audio jack; it is even more compact.

Design

Despite Moto G 5G Plus and Huawei P40 Lite 5G come with a punch-hole display and Oppo Find X2 Lite has a classic waterdrop notch, Oppo Find X2 Lite is my favorite handset when it comes to the design. It is more compact, beautiful, minimalistic, thinner, and lighter than its two rivals. It is very elegant and it is easier to use with one hand. Motorola Moto G 5G Plus is made with cheaper materials, but it is splash resistant, so it remains a very interesting device in terms of build quality.

Display

The Oppo Find X2 Lite wins the display comparison because it sports an AMOLED panel: it provides more brilliant colors and deeper blacks, for a more interesting overall image quality, as well as lower energy consumption. Right after, we got the Moto G 5G Plus which offers the HDR10 certification and a 90 Hz refresh rate, but it has a classic LCD display. Huawei P40 Lite 5G lacks both an AMOLED display and a high refresh rate, but it still comes with an above-average LTPS panel.

Hardware/Software

On benchmarks, the Kirin 820 chipset found on the Huawei P40 Lite 5G actually obtains higher results than the Snapdragon 765G by Qualcomm. However, a lot of people trust Qualcomm’s chipsets more for their stability, modding compatibility, and more. Further, Huawei P40 Lite 5G lacks Google services out of the box: instead, it comes with Huawei Mobile Services to replace them in the global market. If you do not mind about the above-mentioned disadvantages, then you can go for the Huawei P40 Lite 5G. But I would personally choose the Oppo Find X2 Lite with its Snapdragon 765G which offers 2 GB RAM more than the Huawei P40 Lite 5G.

Camera

You should not focus too much on the cameras while choosing between one of these devices. Not because they are bad, but because their camera departments are more or less at the same level. In each case, we are talking about above-average, but not high-end, camera phones. Note that with the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus you get the best front cameras: an ultrawide dual sensor with 16 and 8 MP resolutions.

Battery

Motorola Moto G 5G Plus lasts a lot more on a single charge because it sports a way bigger battery than Huawei P40 Lite 5G and Oppo Find X2 Lite. Huawei P40 Lite 5G wins the fast charging comparison with its 40W power, and it even supports reverse charging.

Price

In the global market, you can get the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus and the Huawei P40 Lite 5G for €399/$450 (4/64 GB and 6/128 GB respectively), while Oppo Find X2 Lite is priced €499/$564 in the configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. At the end of the day, we can not pick a definitive winner because it mostly depends on the user’s needs. Oppo Find X2 Lite has a great design and an AMOLED display, as well as very nice rear cameras and more RAM. Huawei P40 Lite offers higher charging speeds and reverse charging, as well as a great chipset. Motorola Moto G 5G Plus has pretty nice cameras and longer battery life, but in its base configuration, it has just 4/64 GB. Which one would you pick?

Design

TCL is a relatively new brand in the smartphone market: it owns Alcatel and BlackBerry, but it started releasing handsets under its own brand in 2019. Yet this TCL 10 5G not only offers an incredibly high quality-price ratio but even an impressive design. It is the only device of the tiro to feature a punch-hole display, and it comes with premium materials including a glass back and an aluminum frame. But you should not underestimate the Oppo Find X2 Lite which sports the same premium materials, a more compact body, a thinner and lighter design.

Display

On the paper, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite is the handset with the most interesting display since it features both the AMOLED technology and the HDR10+ certification allowing to get a high quality even while streaming video content. TCL 10 5G has an IPS panel, but it still comes with an impressive image quality thanks to the NXTVISION technology and upscaling of content from SDR to HDR. Even Oppo Find X2 Lite has a pretty nice display, despite it lacks an HDR certification. Note that Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite sport an under-display fingerprint reader, while TCL 10 5G does not.

Hardware/Software

TCL 10 5G, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, and Oppo Find X2 Lite are all powered by the Snapdragon 765G including a dual-mode 5G integrated modem (the Snapdragon X53). However, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite (in its most expensive configuration) and the Oppo Find X2 Lite offers a higher amount of RAM: up to 8 GB instead of 6 GB found on the TCL 10 5G. The TCL 10 5G has a nearly-stock user interface based on Android 10, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite are highly-customized.

Camera

Overall, the Oppo Find X2 Lite looks like the most advanced camera phone. It has a quad rear camera with a 48 MP main sensor and a bright f/1.7 focal aperture, as well as an awesome 32 MP f/2.0 front snapper. Right after, we got the TCL 10 5G with a 64 MP quad camera. Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite takes the last place with a 48 MP quad camera and a 16 MP selfie snapper.

Battery

Thanks to a bigger 4500 mAh battery, TCL 10 5G wins the battery life comparison. Oppo Find X2 Lite wins the fast charging comparison thanks to the VOOC 4.0 technology with a 30W power. And a 30W is included out of the box.

Price

TCL 10 5G is sold globally with a €399/$448 price tag, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite is priced €369/$414 in its base variant. For the Oppo Find X2 Lite, you need €499/$560. The Oppo Find X2 Lite is surely more interesting when it comes to the camera department, it has a more compact design, more RAM than TCL 10 5G, and faster charging. TCL 10 5G comes with a better battery, a punch-hole design, and still pretty nice cameras. We would not recommend the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite (unless you want to save the highest amount of money since it is actually available for less than €330 thanks to street prices) due to its inferior cameras and less impressive design, but it actually comes with a great display.

Design

This design comparison is like a double-sided medal. You get a better front design on the Huawei P40 Lite 5G because it features a punch-hole display instead of a traditional waterdrop notch, but on the other hand, you get a more attractive rear design on the Oppo Find X2 Lite due to its smaller camera module. Overall, I would go for the Oppo Find X2 Lite because, besides offering a cleaner glass back, it is also more compact and thinner than its rivals. Do you agree with me or your choice would be different?

Display

With the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and the Oppo Find X2 Lite you get an AMOLED display with more brilliant colors and deeper blacks, while the Huawei P40 Lite 5G has an IPS panel, but it is HDR-compliant. Each of these devices offers a great image quality despite they are not flagship smartphones, but the AMOLED panels with in-display fingerprint scanners found on Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite look more interesting. Note that Oppo Find X2 Lite has a smaller diagonal than Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite: 6.4 inches vs 6.57 inches.

Hardware/Software

If we only talk about chipsets, you should not notice differences in performances with any of these handsets, even though the Huawei P40 Lite offers a different Kirin 820, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite pack the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. In each case, you get a 5G integrated modem, but Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite offer a higher amount of RAM: up to 8 GB. Note that Oppo Find X2 Lite does not feature expandable storage, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Huawei P40 Lite do. That is why Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G wins the hardware comparison, at least in its higher-end variant. But we are only talking about marginal differences. All are based on Android 10, but Huawei P40 Lite 5G lacks Google services, replaced by Huawei Mobile Services.

Camera

We had a very nice experience with Oppo’s camera phones, but the rear camera departments of these three handsets should offer similar performances. Huawei P40 Lite 5G has the main sensor with a higher resolution, while Oppo Find X2 Lite has a brighter focal aperture. Oppo Find X2 Lite wins the selfie comparison thanks to a 32 MP front snapper.

Battery

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite has a bigger 4160 mAh battery and it is likely the longest lasting phone of this trio on a single charge. Huawei P40 Lite 5G has the smallest battery, but it offers two interesting features: a faster 40W charging technology and reverse charging. So it will charge faster and it will be able to charge other devices just like a power bank.

Price

Huawei P40 Lite 5G carries a €399/$432 price tag, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G costs €349/$378. You need €499/$540 to purchase the Oppo Find X2 Lite, but note that it is the price for the 8/128 GB configuration, while the price tags of its rivals are the ones for the 6/128 GB variant. At the end of the day, these three devices are very close, so whatever you choose, you will make a good choice. It is essentially a draw with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite offering a slightly bigger battery, Huawei P40 Lite 5G offering faster charging and reverse charging, and Oppo Find X2 Lite offering a compact and attractive design, as well as interesting cameras.

In each case, we are talking about upper-midrange handsets coming with advanced specs sheets, but they are not flagships and they are focused on value for money.
Design

If we consider aesthetics, my favorite handset here is the Oppo Find X2 Lite. It offers a very thin and lighter design, as well as a less invasive camera module on the rear side making it more minimalistic. It is equipped with a glass back and an aluminum frame for a premium look. Definitely a beautiful device, like every handset from the Find X2 series. But with its curved display edges, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite remains a very elegant and futuristic device. Even the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite has a great design, it features a flat display but a smaller camera module than Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite on the back. All of these devices come with an in-display fingerprint reader.

Display

On the paper, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite offers a more interesting display. The panel is HDR10-compliant, so it may provide a richer image quality, even while streaming content. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite offers a wider diagonal. Thanks to its smaller display, Oppo Find X2 Lite is slightly more compact. Do not underestimate it: unfortunately, we still had no chance to test that display, but Oppo usually equips its handsets with great panels.

Hardware/Software

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite offer a stronger hardware thanks to the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. Unlike the Mi Note 10 Lite, they support 5G networks thanks to a 5G integrated modem. You should get very similar high-end performances with Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite, but the former has a micro SD slot to expand the internal storage, while the latter does not. Android 10 is installed out of the box on all of these smartphones.

Camera

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, and Oppo Find X2 Pro are midrange camera phones. Oppo Find X2 Lite looks more convincing with its bright focal aperture and an amazing selfie camera. But Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite’s quad-cameras are great as well. You should get a similar photo quality, judging by the camera specs.

Battery

Due to its mammoth 5260 mAh battery, Mi Note 10 Lite will most likely offer a way longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite with all the usage patterns. Also consider that Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite does not support 5G, so it is even more efficient. It also comes with a fast 30W charging technology, but the 30W fast charging found on the Oppo Find X2 Lite will charge it faster because the battery is smaller.

Price

The global price of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite ranges from €350/$383 to €400/$438, while Oppo Find X2 Lite starts from €499/$546. On the paper, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite looks more gorgeous due to its huge battery, but it lacks 5G support and it has an inferior chipset. Oppo Find X2 Lite offers an amazing and compact design, great cameras, and faster charging and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite is more or less at the same level (slightly bigger battery, potentially inferior cameras). Which one would you pick?

They belong to different price segments ranging from the mid-range one to the top-tier flagship. While it is kinda obvious which device is the best from the trio and which is the inferior one, it is not clear to everyone which one offers the highest value for money and how much it is worth choosing one or another. In this comparison, you will find all the important differences between the handsets from the new global lineup.

Design

With the Oppo Find X2 Neo and the Find X2 Pro, you get a similar form factor, including a punch-hole display and all the camera elements included in the rear camera module for a cleaner design. But with the Oppo Find X2 Pro, you get a more stunning build quality. It comes with unique material as it is available in a Ceramic Black color variant with a ceramic body and one made of vegan leather, while Oppo Find X2 Neo only comes with a glass back and a metal frame like most of the high-end phones out there. Further, Oppo Find X2 Pro is waterproof with the IP68 certification. On the other hand, with a thickness of just 7.7 mm, the Find X2 Neo is the thinnest 5G smartphone. Oppo Find X2 Lite still offers a premium design with a glass back and an aluminum frame, but it lacks a punch-hole display.

Display

Oppo Find X2 Pro packs the most impressive display: it is the only to sport a Quad HD+ resolution, it offers a high 120 Hz refresh rate and a 10 bit panel which can display one billion colors. It also comes with very high brightness (800 nits) and the HDR10+ standard. Right after we got the Oppo Find X2 Neo: it has a lower resolution, but a still high 90 Hz refresh rate. Oppo Find X2 Lite has a display with a standard 60 Hz refresh rate, but it is still a pretty nice AMOLED panel which you should not underestimate.

Hardware/Software

Oppo Find X2 Pro offers way higher performance than Oppo Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite thanks to its Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with 12 GB of LPPDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. The difference between the performance of Oppo Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite (which I reviewed and tried for a long time) is not huge: you only get more RAM and more internal storage with the Find X2 Lite (12 GB). Android 10 is installed out of the box, customized by ColorOS 7. Note that all of these devices feature 5G connectivity (both SA and NSA standards), but Oppo Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite pack integrated 5G modem, while Find X2 Pro relies on an external Snapdragon X55 modem.

Camera

There is an important difference even on the camera side between Oppo Find X2 Pro and Find X2 Neo. The former packs two 48 MP sensors and a periscope lens with up to 5x optical zoom, while the latter has a quad camera with just one 48 MP sensor and a 13 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. But given the great main sensor and OIS, the Find X2 Neo is still an amazing camera phone. Even the Find X2 Lite is pretty nice with its awesome video stabilization and a pretty good main sensor, but it is just a midrange camera phone and it lacks both OIS and a telephoto lens.

Battery

There should not be a big difference between the battery life of these three devices. The Oppo Find X2 Pro has a bigger battery, but it has to manage less efficient components, so we do not believe it will last more than Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite which comes with the same 4025 mAh capacity. What makes the difference is the charging speed: you get blazing speeds with the Find X2 Pro with a 65W fast charging technology (the fastest commercial technology), while Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite come with slower 30W fast charging.

Price

Oppo Find X2 Pro has a global price of €1,199/$1298, Oppo Find X2 Neo costs €699/$756, and Oppo Find X2 Lite is priced €499/$540. In each case, you get an above-average device with impressive specifications under every point of view. The Find X2 Neo sits in the middle, it is the perfect compromise and it is worth the money asked. Find X2 Pro brings a lot of innovation and it is a top-tier flagship without compromises, but it is recommended only for those seeking the max performance, the most amazing display, and the best camera department. If you just need a well-balanced device which does not disappoint under every point of view, even Find X2 Lite may be enough for your needs.

Now, the company is all set to launch a lighter variant of the same, dubbed as OPPO Find X2 Lite.

We have now come acoss a render of the Find X2 Lite smartphone, showcasing the phone’s design. While the leak shows the design, the specifications of the device remains unknown, which will definitely be toned-down compared to the standard model.

The render leak shows that the smartphone has a small waterdrop notch on top of the display. On the back side, the device will have a quad-camera setup with sensors aligned vertically and placed in the top-left corner.

This is interesting given that the Find X2 and X2 Pro features a triple camera setup on the back side. The upcoming Lite model will also come with a video stabilisation mode found on other devices from the company. We expect to know more about this phone in the coming days or weeks.
