The standard Watch X3, which recently launched in China, leans heavily into the premium side. It brings a titanium build, a bright 1.5-inch LTPO OLED display, and the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, along with features like ECG and skin temperature tracking. Battery life is also a strong point, especially in power-saving modes. It’s clearly positioned as a flagship smartwatch.

Now, according to tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo is also working on what’s being referred to as the Watch X3 Mini. The name isn’t confirmed, but the idea has been floating around for a while, and this latest mention makes it feel a bit more real.

If Oppo sticks to its earlier approach, the Mini version will likely focus on making the watch easier to wear for longer periods. That usually means a smaller case and display panel, probably somewhere in the 1.3 to 1.4-inch range. A slightly smaller battery is also likely, which could impact overall endurance a bit. These trade-offs aren’t unusual, though, and for many people, the more comfortable size matters more.

There’s still no clear word on when it might launch. Some earlier reports mentioned April, but nothing solid yet. Global availability is also a question mark. Oppo has reworked similar models under the OnePlus brand before, so there’s a chance this could follow a similar path.

Oppo has launched its latest smartwatch, the Watch X3, at a product event alongside the Find N6 foldable smartphone. The new smartwatch brings a high-end design, advanced health tracking features, and standalone smart functionalities.

Oppo Watch X3 Specifications

The Oppo Watch X3 features a lightweight full-titanium design using aerospace-grade TC4 titanium alloy, making it 16% lighter and 6.4% thinner than previous models. It includes a durable sapphire crystal display with a Mohs hardness rating above 8 and a 1.5-inch LTPO OLED screen offering up to 3000 nits peak brightness for sunlight visibility. The smartwatch is highly durable with IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.

The Watch X3 excels in health tracking, providing cuffless blood pressure risk assessments, daily blood pressure monitoring, and insights into lifestyle impacts. It features ECG, heart rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature sensors, along with a 60-second health check analyzing 14 metrics with AI insights. Its sleep tracking includes sleep stage detection, snore monitoring, and sleep issue risk analysis.

The smartwatch supports more than 100 sports modes. It includes a fat-burning running mode that provides guidance on posture and intensity. The watch tracks detailed fitness metrics such as ground contact time, stride balance, and calorie burn. It uses dual-frequency GPS for accurate outdoor tracking. The device also assesses training load and workout readiness to help users optimize performance.

The watch comes with standalone eSIM functionality for calls and messages, a WeChat smartwatch version for phone-free communication, and NFC for payments, transit cards, and access control. It supports music streaming, navigation apps, and more, running on ColorOS Watch 16 with customizable watch faces, quick notifications, and gesture controls.

The battery offers up to three days of heavy usage, five days of regular use, and 16 days in long battery mode.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo Watch X3 is available in three colors: Gravity Black, Infinite Titanium, and Cosmos Star Orange. The Gravity Black variant is priced at 2,599 yuan ($364), while the Infinite Titanium version costs 2,799 yuan ($392). The price for the Cosmos Star Orange variant has not been specified. Sales will begin in China on March 20 at 10:00 AM.

This suggests the smartwatch could feature a titanium alloy bezel or structural components, similar to the approach seen on its predecessor. Preview videos released by the brand indicate that the smartwatch will support several outdoor activity metrics. The interface appears capable of displaying information such as step count and altitude, suggesting that the device is being positioned for fitness tracking and outdoor usage scenarios.

The smartwatch was also previously spotted in China with the model number OWW261 during a radio certification process. Some reports claim that the device may feature a USB Type-C charging interface instead of the proprietary connectors commonly seen on smartwatches.

The smartwatch is expected to arrive in several color options, including black, silver, titanium and orange. There are also early reports suggesting that Oppo could be working on a smaller Watch X3 mini variant, although details about this model remain unclear.

Industry sources indicate that the Oppo Watch X3 and the Oppo Find N6 foldable smartphone could be unveiled around March 17 in China, though the company has not yet confirmed the exact launch date.

Recently, a OnePlu watch with model number OPWWE261 was spotted at Elements Certification, revealing support for 10W charging. This watch, which is believed to be a rebranded version of Oppo Watch X3, is likely to be called the OnePlus Watch 4 when it hits the global market.

Much of the Oppo Find N6’s specs were revealed in a leak from late December. The foldable will feature an 8.12-inch main display and a 6.62-inch cover screen, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Today, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has added a few missing details about the foldable, making the spec sheet more complete.

According to DCS, the Oppo Find N6 will support a new AI stylus and will also be compatible with a magnetic charging ecosystem. However, the device is unlikely to have magnets built in. Instead, the foldable may support magnetic charging and accessories via a case — at least, that’s what the tipster suggests in the comments.

The Find N6 will also have a 200MP rear camera with a 50MP and a 2MP multispectral lens. For selfies, the main and cover screen will house a 20MP camera. 

Moreover, the foldable is said to ship with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Battery specs include a dual-cell design that totals 6000mAh in typical value.

DCS also talks about the upcoming Watch X3 in the same post. Like the Watch X2, it will feature a dual-chip system, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Oppo appears to be preparing its next premium smartwatch, with a new device carrying the model number OOWW261 recently passing network access certification from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The listing is widely believed to point to the upcoming Oppo Watch X3.

According to reports, the Watch X3 could debut alongside Oppo’s next foldable flagship, the Find N6. While Oppo has yet to confirm launch details, early certification activity suggests the wearable is moving closer to release.

Tipster @experiencemore claims the Watch X3 may switch to USB-C charging, replacing Oppo’s proprietary solution. If accurate, this would make charging more convenient and reduce the need for specialized cables. Other specifications remain unconfirmed for now.

The Oppo Watch X2 from February 2025 started at 2,499 yuan (about $354 at the current exchange rate), with subsidies bringing the price down to around 2,124 yuan. It featured a titanium alloy bezel with dual-tone finishing, a 1.5-inch LTPO display with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits, and sapphire crystal protection rated above Mohs 8. The watch also included a rotating crown with a pyramid-style texture for navigation.

Battery life was another strong point. Thanks to Oppo’s Glacier Battery technology, the Watch X2 offered up to five days in full smart mode and up to 16 days in power-saving mode. Health features included ECG support, hypertension risk assessment, multi-channel heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, and wrist temperature tracking.
