As scheduled, POCO has officially launched the POCO X4 Pro 5G in India today. The successor of POCO X3 Pro initially went official at MWC 2022 a few weeks back. It is basically a tweaked Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (aka Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G), and therefore, it differs from its predecessor in almost every aspect.

POCO X4 Pro 5G Specifications and Features

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is the same as the variant sold in other international markets, except for two differences. The Indian version lacks NFC and features a 64MP primary camera instead of a 108MP sensor.

The device flaunts a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has support for 395 PPI, DCI-P3 color gamut, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and 1,200 nits peak brightness level.

The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. For comparison, the POCO X3 Pro houses a much more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC and a faster UFS 3.1 storage module.

Talking about photography and videography, the phone’s 64MP main camera is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide unit and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, there’s a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The connectivity options on the smartphone include dual-SIM card slots, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GNSS. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, a MicroSD card slot (hybrid), dual stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. 

The device boots MIUI 13 for POCO based on Android 11. It also has additional features, such as an IR blaster, a z-axis linear vibration motor, Hi-Res Audio certification, liquid cooling technology, and IP53 rating for splash resistance.

Last but not least, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

POCO X4 Pro 5G Price and Availability in India

The POCO X4 Pro 5G will retail at the following price tags in India.

• 6GB + 64GB – ₹18,999 ($249)
• 6GB + 128GB – ₹19,999 ($262)
• 8GB + 128GB – ₹21,999 ($289)

Customers can purchase the handset in colors like POCO Yellow, Laser Yellow, or Laser Black. The first sale is scheduled for at 12 PM on April 5 via Flipkart.

Buyers can get a flat ₹1,000 discount on HDFC Bank credit/debit cards and EMI transactions. Also, previous-gen POCO X series users are eligible for an additional discount on exchange.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G made its global debut at the Mobile World Congress 2022. We listed it as one of the best smartphones at the trade show. Weeks after its announcement, the handset has been now confirmed to release in India next week.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G will be launching in India on March 28. The virtual event will be live-streamed on the brand’s official YouTube channel from 12 PM IST. We also expect live tweets from the company’s official Twitter account.

As far as the device is concerned, we know everything about it since it is not only already official but also on sale in multiple regions for weeks. In some markets, it also comes with a free YouTube Premium subscription. We are not sure if this offer will be available in India.

But we are somewhat certain that the phone will lack NFC in the country. Further, going by the image tweeted by the brand, the handset will arrive with a 64MP main camera instead of a 108MP sensor like the original model.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G with a tweaked design and a cheaper price tag. Hence, it has the exact same set of features.

They are unlike their predecessors in terms of both design and specs. They are tweaked versions of already released Redmi phones.

POCO X4 Pro 5G Specifications and Features

The POCO X4 Pro 5G is a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G sold in global markets. It has the exact same specs, except for a redesigned rear panel.

The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 395 PPI, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The DCI-P3 color gamut-supported screen has a 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio and can reach a peak brightness level of 1,200 nits.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is a downgrade from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 present inside the POCO X3 Pro. The new phone also comes with slower UFS 2.2 storage instead of UFS 3.1 but the RAM remains the same LPDDR4x.

For photography and videography, the handset uses a triple camera system on the rear consisting of a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro snapper.  Whereas, on the front, it sports a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The connectivity options on the smartphone include dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC (market dependent), GNSS, and USB Type-C. POCO M4 Pro Specifications and Features

The POCO M4 Pro is the 4G variant of the POCO M4 Pro 5G from late last year. It is a rebadged Redmi Note 11S with a different rear design and camera system.

The phone is built around a 6.43-inch centered punch-hole AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 409 PPI, and up to 90Hz refresh rate. The panel has support for DCI-P3 color gamut, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness level.

The handset is run by a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It boots MIUI 13 for POCO based on Android 11 and gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery, which can charge at a maximum rate of 33W.

On the back, the device features a triple camera setup comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter. As far as selfies and video calls are concerned, it uses a 16MP snapper.

The smartphone offers multiple connectivity options like dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, NFC (market dependent), and USB Type-C. Other features of the handset include liquid cooling technology, IP53 rating for splash resistance, Hi-Res Audio certification, dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, dedicated MicroSD card slot, z-axis linear vibration motor, IR blaster, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi’s POCO launched the M4 Pro this week in the budget segment. Now, the company is gearing up for the launch of a mid-range series dubbed the POCO X4 5G. Earlier today, we learned some specs of the POCO X4 Pro 5G, and now, SmartDroid has shared the hands-on images of the phone.

Unfortunately, the publication seems to have removed the images, however, the tipster Abhishek Yadav has managed to share the images online. As per the images, the Poco X4 Pro 5G has an entirely new design.

The phone replaces the circular rear camera module of the X3 Pro with a wide island that holds three cameras, an LED flash, and has the Poco branding. Interestingly, if we zoom in, we also get to see the “108MP” mentioned on the right-side. The publication reveals that is an HM2 primary sensor.

To recall, the existing Poco X3 Pro has a 48MP primary lens. Having a 108MP sensor on the X4 Pro will surely be a big upgrade, at least on paper. However, this is contrary to what the tipster Yogesh Brar revealed recently.

As per the tipster, the Poco X4 Pro 5G will feature a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.

The publication has all other specs in line with what the tipster revealed. The Poco X4 Pro 5G will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED DotDisplay. In the images, we get to see the punch-hole screen with thin bezels. Furthermore, the smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging support.

On the protective film, we can read that the device has dual speakers, NFC support, and has a Snapdragon 5G chipset. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset and come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device will boot on Android 11 OS and run on the MIUI 13.

We just reported on the phone’s official wallpaper leak, in addition to information on its primary camera. Within a few minutes, we are back again with another story revealing the entire specs of the upcoming handset.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G has been long rumored to be a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G sold outside China. The earlier certifications and leaks are indeed true, except for a minor change. The device will arrive with a 64MP primary camera instead of a 108MP main sensor.

The latest leak from Xiaomiui revealed that the smartphone will house a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL SK5GW3 primary camera. Now, Tipster Yogesh Brar also corroborates that the phone will have a 64MP main camera, in addition to an 8MP ultra-wide unit and a 2MP macro snapper. 

As far as the remaining specifications are concerned, the POCO X4 Pro 5G will be an international Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G inside out. But it is anticipated to differ in terms of colors and rear design.

The device will be built around a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

It will have a 16MP front-facing camera and get its juice from a 5,000mAh battery, which will have support for 67W fast charging. Though the leaker does not mention them, we can also expect the handset to feature dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Last but not least, it will boot MIUI 13 based on Android 11, which is disappointing.
