<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to </span><a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/KwqWxkcpG"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Digital Chat Station</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, Huawei has got access to two other </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Qualcomm/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Qualcomm</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Snapdragon SoCs other than Snapdragon 888. These are Snapdragon 778G and the upcoming SM8450 (aka Snapdragon 898).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Just like the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?post_type=aps-products&amp;s=HUAWEI+P50"><span style="font-weight: 400;">HUAWEI P50 series</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> phones, the handsets using these chipsets will also lack 5G connectivity. That’s because Huawei will be getting a special 4G version due to the US sanctions. Unfortunately, the leaker does not mention which </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/HUAWEI/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">HUAWEI</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> phones will be using these two SoCs. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Going by the Chinese tech giant’s now disrupted smartphone release cycle, the 4G version of Snapdragon 778G might power the rumored HUAWEI nova 9 series. On the other hand, the 4G variant of the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/04/qualcomm-sm8450-specs-leak/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">unreleased SM8450</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> could drive the delayed HUAWEI Mate 50 series.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As of now, we don’t have any solid proof for this claim. However, since most of the information shared by Digital Chat Station has been accurate so far, the new details posted by him on Weibo could also be indeed true.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last but not least, the leaker also says that Huawei might also use </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MediaTek/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">MediaTek</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> chipsets, however, the deal is yet to be finalized.</span></p>

This year, it followed it up with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lenovo-legion-2-pro/">Legion Phone 2 Pro</a> a.k.a. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lenovo-legion-duel-2/">Legion Phone Duel 2</a>. Now it has revealed details of its successor which will launch as the Legion Phone 3 Pro.</p>
<p>The General Manager of Lenovo China Mobile Division, Chen Jin, took to Weibo earlier today to talk about Qualcomm&#8217;s upcoming processor with part number SM8450. Multiple reports have revealed that it will launch as the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-898">Snapdragon 898</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-408148" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Lenovo-Legion-3-Pro.png?x10805" alt="Lenovo Legion Phone 3 Pro" width="611" height="238" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Lenovo-Legion-3-Pro.png 611w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Lenovo-Legion-3-Pro-300x117.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 611px) 100vw, 611px" /></p>
<p>The post mentioned that the chipset, which will power the Legion Phone 3 Pro, will bring a new flagship GPU with a significantly upgraded performance. He also claims that the flagship phone will feature industry-leading fine-tuned performance.</p>
<p>Mr. Jin also took the chance to market the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lenovo-legion-duel-2/">Legion Phone 2 Pro</a>. He stated that the Snapdragon 888-powered phone is now discounted and worth buying.</p>
<p>It is also worth noting that it appears Lenovo does not plan on launching another gaming phone this year even though its competitors are planning to or have already launched refreshed models powered by the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-888-plus">Snapdragon 888 Plus</a> processor.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 898 should launch by the end of the year going by Qualcomm&#8217;s previous announcements. The chipset should be announced at the annual Qualcomm summit and if all goes well, we may even see the first smartphones powered by the processor get announced before the year ends.</p>
<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/04/4nm-snapdragon-895-series-production-to-be-split-between-samsung-and-tsmc/">the foundry in charge of producing the 4nm processor</a>. Leaks have <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/04/4nm-snapdragon-895-series-production-to-be-split-between-samsung-and-tsmc/">revealed it will have a Kryo 760 CPU, an Adreno 730 GPU, Spectra 680 ISP, and a Snapdragon X65 5G modem</a>.</p>

<p>Evan Blass <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/1400520509897510912">claims</a> that the chipset will be manufactured using the 4nm process. For those who are unaware, the current-generation Snapdragon 888 SoC is manufactured using the 5nm process.</p>
<p>It is said that the processor will come packed with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/09/qualcomm-next-gen-snapdragon-x65-5g-modem-10gbps-speeds/">Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF system</a>. Launched in February this year, the modem promises to bring superior speed and support for up to 10Gbps speeds on both standalone and non-standalone 5G networks.</p>

<p>The chipset will have Kryo 780 CPU built on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/arm">ARM</a> Cortex v9 technology along with Adreno 730 GPU, Adreno 665 Video Processing Unit (VPU), Adreno 1195 Display Processing Unit (DPU). For image processing, the chipset will come with Spectra 680 ISP.</p>
<p>It will support quad-channel package-on-package LPDDR5 RAM. It will also support up to 1GHz mmWave downlink and 400MHz Sub-6 D along with support for Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 subsystem. It is said to have Qualcomm secure processing unit (SPU260) as well as Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9380/WCD9385 audio codec.</p>
