Qualcomm, one of the topmost manufacturers of chips in the world, has announced a staggering seven products that are designed for IoT applications. The IoT solutions are made for a variety of applications, featuring various new technologies and designs. These include connected healthcare, digital signage, industrial handhelds, and more.Qualcomm

At the top of the pack is the Qualcomm QCS8250 which is designed for digital signage, connected healthcare, retail, and video applications for collaboration. It also features the Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine, the Qualcomm Kryo 585 CPU architecture, and an ISP to support up to 7 cameras running concurrently and able to encode up to 4K resolution at 120 frames per second.

Designed for connected healthcare, logistics management, retail, warehousing, and transportation are the Qualcomm QCM6490 and QCS6490. To provide 5G connectivity worldwide, the chips were optimized to have lightning-fast Wi-Fi 6E for high-tier IoT-enabled devices.

The Qualcomm QCM4290 and QCS4290 main targets are IoT applications like industrial handhelds, security panels, and cameras. The architectures they use are the Kryo260 CPU and 3rd generation Qualcomm AI Engine, which enhances dynamic camera capabilities, powerful performance, and broad connectivity options.

Finally, Qualcomm QCM2290 and QCS2290 are designed for camera applications, industrial handhelds, retail, and tracking, having the Cortex A53 CPU architecture. They provide a cost-effective solution as greater performance is being delivered with higher graphics capabilities, and as an entry-level platform.Qualcomm QCS8250
