The Vivo X60 Pro+ received generally positive reviews when it launched, with several publications and reviewers praising its camera performance. DxOMark has published its own in-depth camera review, and while the new Vivo flagship does make it to the top 10, what is surprising is that it trails behind the Vivo X50 Pro+, its predecessor.

With an overall score of 128 points, the Vivo X60 Pro+ scores higher than the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the OPPO Find X2 Pro. The photo score is 131 points and the review praises its performance in a wide range of lighting conditions. It also commends its exposure, wide dynamic range, accurate white balance, and high detail but mentions that noise is sometimes visible and that autofocus failures prevented it from scoring higher.

For Zoom, the device scores 84 points which is great thanks to its dual telephoto cameras, but could have been better if it didn’t lack detail at long range and suffer from exposure instabilities when compared to phones such as the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra.

Vivo X60 Pro+ DxOMark

DxOMark reveals that it is the issues with the photo and zoom that resulted in the phone scoring lower than the Vivo X50 Pro+.

For video, the X60 Pro+ scored 110 points and garners praise for its color rendering and accurate white balance which makes videos really pop whether you are recording indoor or outdoor. It does get noisy when in low-light conditions, so the key to getting the best out of the cameras is to make sure that there is enough light.

The full review on DxOMark’s site goes into deeper details and includes photo and video samples as well as comparisons with some other devices, so do check that out.
