The wait is over! After several months running on the Open Beta programme announced back in February this year, Realme has finally announced on its community forum that the brand has finally officially rolled out the stable Realme UI 3.0 OS update based on Android 12, to its Realme 8 Pro, Realme 7 Pro, and Realme C25s users!

The Realme UI 3.0 stable update rollout will be released to users in batches, and to be eligible for the update, users will have to make sure that they are on the latest firmware version of Realme UI 2.0. For Realme 8 Pro users, that will be RMX3081_11.A.47 / RMX3081_11.A.48 ; for Realme 7 Pro users, that will be RMX2170_11.C.30 / RMX2170_11.C.32 ; and for Realme C25s users, that will be RMX3197_11.A.19 / RMX3197_11.A.20.

As for what new features the update brings, Realme says that Realme UI 3.0 is now revamped with a new design, which aims to deliver a more comfortable, natural and simpler user experience. The Realme UI 3.0 update changelog for the Realme 8 Pro, Realme 7 Pro and Realme C25s are identical, and if you want to read further through all the new features and highlights, you can do so with the changelog we have attached below.

If you do decide to upgrade to Android 12, Realme notes several common issues it received from users after the Android 12 upgrade:

1. It may take a longer time to boot for the first time, especially if there are many third-party applications on your phone.
2. In order to improve the system operation efficiency and eliminate potential safety risks, the system will perform a series of actions such as application adaptation, background optimization and security scanning which may cause slight hanging and faster power consumption.

However, these software issues will normally go away once a week has passed and your phone has adapted to the new system.

The Realme 7 Pro is the oldest device here among the three with it launching back on September 14, 2020, almost 2 years ago. It launched with Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10 out of the box. And the Android 12 update is expected to be the last major Android OS upgrade for the smartphone, as it had received 2 Android OS upgrades in its life cycle. The phone came with the first AMOLED display on a Realme number series device, a mid-range Snapdragon 720G processor, as well as support for 65W SuperDart fast wired charging to boot, making it a very competitive mid-range device in the market at that time.

Meanwhile, both the Realme 8 Pro and Realme C25s were launched in 2021 with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. The Realme 8 Pro came with a Snapdragon 720G chipset, 108MP main camera, and 50W fast wired charging whilst the Realme C25s launched with an Helio G85 SoC and 6000mAh battery.

Realme 7 Pro is the latest smartphone from the brand to join the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access program. Interested users of the handset can enroll themselves to experience Android 12 before the general public. Here’s how to do it.

According to the official announcement post on Realme Community, applicants should be on firmware version RMX2170_11.F.10 to register for Realme 7 Pro Realme UI 3.0 Early Access initiative.

To sign up, participants need to go to Settings > Software Update > Trial Version >  Apply Now > and submit details to finish the quiz. The candidates who get selected will receive the Android 12 beta release via OTA. Those who don’t get selected can try their luck during the next round of recruitment. 

As far as the lucky applicants are concerned, they can roll back to the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 stable channel if they don’t find the Early Access program interesting. However, by doing so, they can no longer re-join the initiative.

It’s not clear when the device will get access to the stable release. Because Realme is not known for disclosing the timeline for stable update rollout, unlike OPPO.

Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 is the last major software update for Realme 7 Pro. The phone debuted with Realme UI (Android 10) and was updated to Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) last year.

Chinese handset maker realme has been releasing Android 11-based realme UI 2.0 builds for eligible devices since September 2020. However, the brand has only updated a handful of phones to the stable version worldwide. Now, months later, the company’s popular realme 6 Pro and realme 7 Pro have started receiving the Android 11 stable update.

Both the realme 6 Pro and the realme 7 Pro debuted with realme UI based on Android 10. Though they were launched months apart from each other, they are getting the stable Android 11-based realme UI 2.0 update at the same time.

The latest system update for these phones arrives with the following firmware versions.

• realme 6 Pro – RMX2061_11.C.15
• realme 7 Pro – RMX2170_11.C.20

In order to receive the new update, users need to be on firmware version RMX2061_11.A.49 (realme 6 Pro) and RMX2170PU_11.A.37 (realme 7 Pro).

Anyway, like any other major system update, this one is also being rolled out in stages. Therefore, it may take some time to reach every unit.  Also, it is worth noting that this update has been also released for users running the Open Beta build.

That said, users who don’t like the realme UI 2.0 update or facing any issues can roll back to Android 10 (realme UI). But that process will wipe the internal storage.

A select number of Realme 7 Pro owners in India have begun receiving the new realme UI 2.0 update which is based on Android 11. The Early Access update is available to just 300 users but a wider roll-out is definitely in the works.

Chinese smartphone brand realme unveiled realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 in September. The company’s 2020 flagship smartphone, the realme X50 Pro is the only device to get this update (in the form of beta builds) so far. But soon realme 7 Pro users will also get to experience the latest software as the brand has opened registrations for alpha recruitment.

Normally, brands have beta programs for their new software but realme, on the other hand, is running an alpha program called ‘Alpha Squad’ for its popular realme 7 Pro smartphone. That means we can expect two more such programs in the form of ‘Closed Beta’ and ‘Open Beta’ aka ‘Public Beta’ before the final release.

Therefore, we can expect the stable update to roll out from January 2021. The update may even arrive later as the realme X50 Pro whose first beta recruitment began in early September is yet to receive a single stable build.

Having said that, if you are a realme 7 Pro user, you can apply for the realme UI 2.0 ‘Alpha Squad’ in a link provided in the official announcement post on realme Community (via Tushar Mehta of XDA).

Unsurprisingly, realme is only recruiting 50 users for this program. Above all, the requirements for selection are bizarre as well. Because you must have a realme service center nearby as these alpha builds do not support rollback. Hence, users will have to take their phone to a nearby service center to install the latest stable build in case of any problem.

Also, only users who are regularly active in the realme community are eligible for the program just like on the basis of how Xiaomi recruits MIUI beta and pilot testers. In a nutshell, this program is not meant for everyone and most users should stay away from risking their smartphone during the pandemic.

But does it have the highest value for money you can expect in this second half of 2020 or is it all about 5G and there is something better in the market? Design

None of these devices offers a stunning design like flagships, but they are still pretty nice phones when it comes to aesthetics. The POCO X3 NFC has not the most beautiful look but it comes with a higher build quality: it features an aluminum frame and the IP53 certification making it dust resistant and waterproof. My favorite one is the Realme 7 Pro because it has a thinner and lighter design, as well as a cleaner look and a more compact body. Its body is entirely made of plastic, but the look is actually better. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is bigger, thicker, and heavier than Realme 7 Pro, but more compact than POCO X3 NFC.

Display

The king of the display here is the Realme 7 Pro for a simple reason: it has a Super AMOLED display instead of an IPS panel. So, it provides more vibrant colors and deeper blacks. Further, it has an in-display fingerprint scanner. But you should not underestimate the POCO X3 NFC despite it has an IPS panel. The POCO X3 NFC comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 certification allowing for great image quality. Most people still consider 60 Hz AMOLED panels a better choice, but the POCO X3 NFC still offers a nice screen. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is inferior to both with its 90 Hz IPS display.

Specs & Software

If you need the highest performance, you should opt for the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Despite it has a chipset from Snapdragon 6xx series, it is actually more powerful than the Snapdragon 732G and the Snapdragon 720G found on its rivals (we are talking about both CPU and GPU performance). Further, unlike its two opponents, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G supports 5G connectivity. The POCO X3 NFC has a slightly stronger chipset than the Realme 7 Pro, but the Realme 7 Pro comes in a variant with more RAM: up to 8 GB. All are based on Android 10, but OnePlus already confirmed that the Nord N10 5G will only get one major Android update.

Camera

On paper, the best rear camera setup belongs to the POCO X3 NFC. While it offers the same main camera as its rivals, it actually comes with better secondary sensors including a 13 MP ultrawide camera. If you need better selfies, then you should go for the Realme 7 Pro with its 32 MP front camera.

Battery

The POCO X3 NFC has a longer battery life thanks to its huge 5160 mAh battery, but the Realme 7 Pro charges a lot faster thanks to its 65W fast charging technology. And the Realme 7 Pro takes the silver medal when it comes to battery life thanks to a 4500 mAh battery and its efficient display.

Price

POCO X3 NFC is priced at €229/$271 globally, Realme 7 Pro can be found for less than €300/$355, and OnePlus Nord N10 5G starts from €349/$414. If we exclude the 5G support, OnePlus Nord N10 5G is inferior to its two rivals. Realme 7 Pro has the best display and faster charging, as well as the most interesting design, while POCO X3 NFC has a bigger battery. With the POCO X3 NFC, you get a 120 Hz refresh rate and the HDR10 certification, which are not present on its rivals. The Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime have a standard refresh rate and they lack HDR10, but a lot of people would still prefer them because they offer a Super AMOLED panel instead of an IPS display. This means you can get more brilliant colors and deeper blacks. With the Realme 7 Pro, you even get an in-display fingerprint reader. What would your choice be: a 120 Hz HDR10 IPS display or a Super AMOLED panel with a standard refresh rate and no additional technologies?

If you want the most advanced processor, you should go for the POCO X3 NFC packing a Snapdragon 732G mobile platform. My favorite handset of this comparison is the Realme 7 Pro due to its AMOLED display, water-repellent coating, good selfie camera, and 65W fast charging. But some may like the POCO X3 NFC a bit more for the above-mentioned reasons. Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime is a better choice only if battery life is your main concern or if you want to save as much money as possible.

realme has started rolling out a new update for the realme 7 Pro. The October 2020 OTA update for the device brings the latest security patch, improvements in the camera. And fixes some bugs in the system.

The new OTA(Over The Air) update for realme 7 Pro has a firmware Version RMX2170PU_11_A.17. It comes with the latest October 2020 security patch. And a few other improvements for the Camera and System. The changelog for camera optimization is as follows:

Camera

• Front camera- Over Exposure
• Rear Camera- Color Shifts, Dynamic range of 64M mode.

Additionally, the update also carries fix for the issues like low brightness and fast charging. The changelog for fixing the issues and optimizations is as follows:

• Screen dim after unlocking fingerprint outdoors – Fixed
• Unable to fast charge in certain scenarios – Fixed

Having said that, realme says the update is a staged rollout. And this means it will be pushed to certain users randomly first before ensuring there are no bugs. Once that’s out of the way, you can expect a wider rollout that should happen in the coming days.

The former is the sleekest one with its thin body and it is even lighter, while the latter is built with better materials, including aluminum for the frame. Realme 7 Pro has a water-repellent coating, so you can use it under the rain without so many problems. And so you can with the POCO X3 NFC which boasts the IP53 certification. The Samsung Galaxy F41 is entirely built of plastic, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint reader (unlike the Realme 7 Pro which has it built in the display) and a waterdrop notch instead of a punch-hole design.

The Realme 7 Pro looks more beautiful with its less invasive camera module and a more compact design. On the other hand, POCO X3 and Redmi Note 9 Pro are built with better materials: the former has an aluminum frame and a plastic back, while the latter has a plastic frame and a glass back. Unfortunately, the Realme 7 Pro has a full plastic design.

Display

If you want the best display in terms of image quality, then you should go for the Realme 7 Pro without thinking twice. It has a smaller display and a standard refresh rate, but the Super AMOLED technology guarantees more brilliant colors. Further, the Realme 7 Pro has an in-display fingerprint scanner. Right after, almost at the same level, we got the POCO X3 with the HDR10 certification and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Redmi Note 9 Pro is disappointing: it has a Full HD+ panel, but it is an IPS display with a standard refresh rate.

Specs & Software

The most advanced hardware department belongs to the POCO X3 which is powered by a stronger chipset: the Snapdragon 732G is an upgrade of the Snapdragon 730G and it is paired with 6 GB of RAM. You can get more RAM with the 7 Pro (up to 8 GB), but the chipset is weaker: we are talking about the Snapdragon 720G that is the same chipset found on the Redmi Note 9 Pro. All of these devices run Android 10 out of the box with a highly-customized user interface on top.

Camera

On the paper, the POCO X3 NFC is a better camera phone. POCO X3 NFC, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Realme 7 Pro all come with a 64 MP main sensor, but the POCO X3 NFC has a better ultrawide secondary camera. The Realme 7 Pro is actually better at shooting selfies thanks to its great 32 MP front camera. Redmi Note 9 Pro is inferior to both the devices (overall) but you should note that it has a better macro sensor than Realme 7 Pro and POCO X3 NFC. However, given that macro sensors are often useless, the ultrawide lens of the POCO X3 NFC makes more sense.

Battery

The POCO X3 NFC has the biggest battery with a 5160 mAh capacity, but not the longest battery life. Given that Redmi Note 9 Pro has a standard refresh rate instead of 120 Hz, it lasts more on a single charge with its 5020 mAh battery, unless you disable the 120 Hz refresh rate on the POCO X3 NFC. While Note 9 Pro and POCO X3 NFC are superior battery phones, Realme’s mid-ranger wins the fast charging comparison thanks to its amazing 65W fast charging technology bringing the battery from 0 to 100 percent in just 34 minutes.

Price

In the global market, you can find POCO X3 NFC and Redmi Note 9 Pro at less than €200/$235 thanks to online street prices. Realme 7 Pro will go global on October 7 and its global price is yet to be revealed. A recent leak revealed that Realme could be announcing multiple products in October. Apart from the mysterious Realme 7 Pro SE, the other products that are expected to get announced are the same devices that were teased by the company at the IFA 2020 tech trade exhibition that was held earlier this month. A new tweet by Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth carries an image that showcases multiple leather cases. Probably, the company is gearing up to announce new leather cases for the Realme 7 Pro. Some are speculating that the executive could be teasing the Realme 7 Pro SE smartphone with a leather back.

Sheth’s tweet has a #Realme7Pro hashtag which indicates the cases have something to do with the Realme 7 Pro smartphone. It is advisable to wait for newer details to surface to know whether Sheth is really teasing the arrival of the Realme 7 Pro SE or just a leather case for the Realme 7 Pro.

As far as the Realme 7 Pro SE is concerned, the rumor mill is silent on the specifications of the smartphone. Probably, it may arrive as a weaker version of the Realme 7 Pro. Whether or not Realme 7 Pro SE is coming to India, the country is very likely to receive the Realme 7i since its name has popped up on the official support page.

The Realme 7i is expected to arrive in India in Fusion Blue and Fusion Green colors. It is likely to come in 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage versions. The device may carry a starting price of less than Rs 15,000 (~$204).

The Realme 7i has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 662 powers the device with LPPDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It features a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (B&W) quad-camera setup and it a 16-megapixel front camera. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

At the beginning of the month, Realme announced the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro in India. A few weeks later, the Realme 7i was launched in Indonesia. Now, it has been reported that the series will be making its way to Europe, and ahead of the launch, the possible price range for the phones have been leaked.

The Realme 7 will launch in two color variants and two configurations in Europe. The colors are Mist Blue and Mist White, same as the ones sold in India; and buyers will be able to choose between having 6GB RAM with 64GB of storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage.

The source, Sudhanshu Ambhore, says the 6GB RAM version will be priced between €200 and €230 while the 8GB RAM version will sell for between €240 and €270.

The Realme 7 Pro will be available in a single configuration – 8GB RAM + 128GB – with the option to choose between Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver color variants. The price tag is expected to be between €290 and €320.

The Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro both have punch-hole displays but the latter is an AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate while the former has a 90Hz LCD panel. The standard version is powered by the Helio G95 while the Realme 7 Pro has a Snapdragon 720G processor. Both phones have 64MP quad rear cameras and 16MP selfie cameras.

Realme ships the Realme 7 with a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging while the Realme 7 Pro has a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. Unlike the variants sold in India, the version heading to Europe will have NFC.

Realme Europe is yet to announce a launch date for the phones in Europe but we expect them to land in the old continent in the first week of October.

The Realme 7 Pro is the only handset of this trio to feature an AMOLED panel, and that is the reason why it wins the comparison. Realme decided to equip this device with an AMOLED display after listening to the users’ feedbacks: it seems like users prefer AMOLED display with a standard refresh rate instead of IPS panels with high refresh rates. OPPO F17 has definitely no rivals in this comparison if we talk about the design. Just think that, alongside the vanilla Oppo F17 it is the thinnest smartphone of 2020: it is just 7.5 mm thin. Further, it is one of the most lightweight handsets of the year: it weighs just 164 grams. It is even available in outstanding color variants. Unlike the Oppo F17 Pro which is entirely made of polycarbonate, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a glass back and it has a water-repellent body (the Realme 7 Pro is water-repellent too), but the Oppo F17 Pro is still the winner of the design comparison.

Display

Redmi Note 9 Pro loses the display comparison because it sports a classic IPS panel with lower image quality. Realme 7 Pro and Oppo F17 Pro are better with their great AMOLED displays. We did not test the display of the Oppo F17 Pro, but on the paper, it seems better than Realme 6 Pro. In both cases, you get an in-display fingerprint reader, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a rear-mounted biometric sensor. Note that with the Realme 7 Pro you get stereo speakers, which are not present on the Oppo F17 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Specs & Software

The best hardware department belongs to the Realme 7 Pro. Both Realme 7 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 720G mobile platform, but the former has up to 8 GB of RAM, while the latter stops at 6 GB. Oppo F17 Pro lags behind with an Helio P95 chipset by MediaTek: it has more RAM than Redmi Note 9 Pro, but the chipset is inferior. With Oppo F17 Pro and Realme 7 Pro, you get a similar software experience (Realme UI is based on ColorOS), while Redmi Note 9 Pro has a different Android 10 customization (MIUI 11 out of the box).

Camera

The best camera phone of the trio is the Realme 7 Pro because it features a better main camera on the rear side. We are talking about a Sony sensor with a 64 MP resolution: not the best camera out there, but still better than the 48 MP sensors found on the Oppo F17 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Even the 32 MP front camera is the most amazing, despite Oppo F17 Pro has dual front cameras which can calculate depth info in a better way.

Battery

The king of battery life is Redmi Note 9 Pro because it features a bigger 5020 mAh battery. Despite its display is more energy-demanding, it lasts more on a single charge. Right after, we got the Realme 7 Pro with its 4500 mAh unit that reaches a full charge very quickly compared to its opponents’ thanks to 65W fast charging technology.

Price

Realme 7 Pro has an Rs. 20,999 starting price in India, Redmi Note 9 Pro starts from Rs. 13,999, and Oppo F17 Pro costs Rs. 22,990. Despite its bigger battery, there is no way for the Redmi Note 9 Pro to compete with Realme 7 Pro and Oppo F17 Pro, but it has a higher value for money. In my opinion, Realme 7 Pro is the best with its AMOLED display, great hardware, good cameras, and 65W fast charging. But do not forget how sleek, thin and lightweight Oppo F17 Pro is.

Realme renewed its midrange lineup with three new smartphones: one of them is the Realme X7 and it went official a few days ago alongside the Realme X7 Pro. The remaining ones are the Realme 7 series, composed of the Realme 7 and 7 Pro. According to the official info provided, Realme listened to the users’ feedbacks in order to realize the Realme 7 series. But did it listen well? And which of the new mid-rangers by the company actually offers the highest value for money. While waiting for the global launch of these three handsets, we will try to give an answer to the above questions through a dedicated specs comparison.

Realme 7 vs Realme 7 Pro vs Realme X7

Design

Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro, and Realme X7 do not differ too much when it comes to aesthetics. They all feature a punch-hole display and a rectangle-shaped camera module on the rear side. I actually prefer the Realme X7 for a simple reason: it is thinner and lighter than Realme 7 and 7 Pro. At the same time, it is even more compact. And its Rainbow color variant with the big company slogan on the rear side is very original.

Display

AMOLED with a 60 Hz refresh rate or IPS at 90 Hz? Most people prefer the first option, that is why Realme decided to equip the Realme 7 Pro with an AMOLED panel which sports a standard refresh rate in order to keep the price affordable. You get the same with the Realme X7, while Realme 7 has a 90 Hz IPS display. If you want a better image quality, you should go either for the Realme 7 Pro or the X7: choose the 7 only if you do not care about having the best image quality and you need a smoother viewing experience (e.g. if you are a gamer).

Hardware/Software

The winner of the hardware comparison is the Realme X7. The Dimensity 800U by MediaTek is actually a more powerful chipset, but that is not all: the Realme X7 is also the only one to support 5G networks. But you should note that despite packing max 128 GB of internal storage, the X7 does not have a micro SD slot, while Realme 7 and 7 Pro do. Each of these devices runs Android 10 out of the box, customized by Realme UI just like all the other Realme phones launched in the last period.

Camera

Realme X7 and 7 Pro have exactly the same camera department including a 64 MP quad camera on the rear side and a 32 MP front camera. Realme 7 has the same rear cameras as well, but its front camera is an inferior 16 MP sensor. You should not focus so much on the cameras since you will get similar photo quality with these devices. They are all midrange camera phones, nothing special, but they can record 4K videos with their main camera and 1080p videos at 120 fps from the front camera.

Battery

Realme 7 packs a bigger 5000 mAh battery, but this does not necessarily mean that its battery life will be longer. It has a bigger battery, but its IPS display running at 90 Hz is more energy-demanding. Further, its processor is built with a less efficient production process (12 nm), while the Dimensity 800U found on the Realme x7 is built at 7 nm and the Snapdragon 720G of the Realme 7 Pro is built at 8 nm.

Price

Unfortunately, these three phones are yet to go global. Realme X7 starts from €220/$260 in China, Realme 7 costs €170/$200 in India, and Realme 7 Pro begins at €230/$272. While Realme 7 loses the fight from the beginning, it is not easy to pick a winner between Realme 7 Pro and Realme X7. On the paper, the Realme X7 looks more attractive due to 5G support (and I would probably pick the X7 for this reason) and a sleeker design, but it has a smaller battery.

The Realme 7 measures 162.3 x 75.4 x 9.4mm and weighs 196.5 grams. It comes in two attractive colors such as Mist White and Mist Blue. On the other side, the Realme 7 Pro has 160.9 x 74.3 x 8.7mm dimensions and it weighs 182 grams.

The Realme 7 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel, whereas the Realme 7 Pro has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. Both phones support Full HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Realme 7 offers a 90Hz refresh rate, whereas the Realme 7 Pro supports a 60Hz refresh rate. Both devices come with Gorilla Glass protection. Realme 7 has a side-facing fingerprint sensor whereas the Realme 7 Pro features an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Realme 6 series came with Samsung GW1 64-megapixel sensor. Realme has now confirmed that the successor models will be sporting a new Sony-branded 64-megapixel primary shooter with a 1/1.73-inch sensor size and f/1.8 aperture. The other thing that is mentioned about the Realme 7 series will be powered by the “world’s first processor.”

Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro specifications (Rumored)

As per leaked information shared by the tipster, the  Realme 7 could be the first phone to feature the all-new Helio G95 chipset. It may come with other specs such as a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 5,000mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge technology, 6 GB / 8 GB LPPDR4x RAM, 64 GB / 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and side-facing fingerprint reader.

Earlier today, realme officially announced to launch realme 7 series in India on September 3. The brand even confirmed support for 65W charging. Now, within a few hours, the entire specs of the Pro variant leak leaving nothing to the imagination. The only thing that is not known about this phone is its rear design.

The realme 7 Pro specifications leak come from Mukul Sharma, a popular Indian tech influencer. He tweeted a picture mentioning all the specs of this upcoming phone from his Twitter handle @stufflistings.

According to the image shared by him, the forthcoming realme 7 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G just like its predecessor realme 6 Pro. But all other parameters are different and some of them are even better.

For instance, it will sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a single punch-hole cutout instead of the 6.6-inch LCD panel with dual punch-hole on its predecessor. However, it is worth noting that the latter handset features a 90Hz refresh rate panel but the leak does not mention similar trait for realme 7 Pro.

Further, the new realme device will come equipped with a 64MP (wide – Sony IMX682) + 8MP (ultra-wide – 119° FOV) + 2MP (monochrome portrait) + 2MP (macro) quad-camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera with 85° field of view. Although the primary sensor and selfie camera are better on this one, the previous model features a useful 12MP 2x telephoto unit and an additional 8MP front-facing ultra-wide camera with 105° FOV.

Talking about the key selling point of this product, it is expected to be the cheapest smartphone with support for 65W fast charging (SuperDart). What’s more appealing is that the proprietary fast-charging brick required to fill its 4,500mAh battery (opposed to 4,300mAh in realme 6 Pro) will be included in the box. 

This handset will also sport dual stereo speakers, which are absent in the previous phones in the series. As for size an weight, it will measure 160.9 x 74.3 x 8.7mm in dimensions and weigh 182g. Whereas, for biometrics, it will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Last but not least, the realme 7 Pro is expected to come in two storage configurations – 6GB + 128GB/8GB + 128GB and two colors – Mirror Blue/Mirror Silver respectively.

On Sept. 1, Realme will be launching the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro smartphones in China. Today the Chinese firm took to Twitter to confirm that it will be launching the Realme 7 series in India on Sept. 3. The company has officially confirmed the front design and some of the key features of the Realme 7 series.

The microsite of the Realme 7 series is now live on Realme India’s website. It reveals that the launch event of the Realme 7 series will take place at 12:30 PM (local time) in India. The Chinese firm is now receiving blind orders with a payment of Rs. 1,000 until Sept. 2.

The remaining amount can be paid between Sept. 3 and Sept. 15. The ordered unit will be dispatched after the balance amount is paid. Realme 7 customers who participate in the blind order will receive a coupon of Rs. 100 off for Realme AIoT products. On the other side, folks who blind order the Realme 7 Pro will get a random coupon ranging between Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000. This amount can be redeemed on the purchase of other phones from the brand. The coupon amount will be a credit to the users’ account on Sept. 16.

The Realme 7 series microsite says it will carry support for 65W SuperDart fast charging. By charging the device for only 3 minutes, users will get 13.2 hours of music playback, 2.5 hours of movie playback, and 3 rounds PUBG gaming. As far as the design of the Realm 7 series is concerned, it will be sporting a punch-hole display with a thick-sized chin. The left edge of the device has volume up and down buttons and there is a power key on its right edge.  The company is expected to update the microsite with more details before the launch.

Realme will be launching the Realme X7 series of smartphones on Sept. 1 in China. The lineup includes Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro smartphones. The Chinese manufacturer is also planning to launch new phones in other markets. Fresh information shared by tipster Mukul Sharma reveals that the NBTC authority has approved new phones such as Realme 7 Pro, Realme 7i, and Realme C17.

The NBTC certification of the new Realme phones have not revealed any details on their specifications. However, the certification platform has confirmed that Realme C17 has an RMX2101 model number, the Realme 7i has an RMX2103 model number, and the Realme 7 Pro has an RMX2170 model number.

The TUV Rheinland certification platform had previously revealed that the RMX2170 phone has a pair of two batteries each having a rated size of 2,20mAh. The listing also revealed that the phone carries support for 65W fast charging.

The Realme RMX170 has previously received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance authority. It revealed support for Wi-Fi 5 and Android 10 OS. India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has also certified the RMX2170 phone.

The RMX2170 model number appears to be a variant of the Realme RMX2176 model number which belongs to the Realme X7 phone. Hence, there is a possibility that the Snapdragon 765G powered Realme X7 debuting on Sept. 1 could be breaking cover in global markets such as Realme 7 Pro.

The Realme 7i (RMX2103) has also received certification from the China Quality Certification agency. The listing first (spotted by MyFixGuide) revealed that the phone has a rated battery of 4,890mAh capacity. The certification also confirmed that the phone will arrive with support for 18W fast charging. As far as Realme C17 is concerned, the next C-series phone was approved by Indonesia’s TKDN authority in May.

Realme is yet to confirm a date for its next launch event. Since Realme CMO Xu Qi has teased the arrival of new phones, it appears that the company could be gearing up to launch new phones in China soon. It is speculated that the Realme 7 or X7 series may go official on Sept. 1. A latest post from Realme’s Weibo account suggests that it may confirm the launch date tomorrow.

Yesterday, Realme CMO released a Weibo post carrying an image of 7up can along with “new soon” text. It is being speculated that the number 7 could be a hint that Xu Qi could be teasing the arrival of the Realme 7 or X7 series. His other post suggests that the new phones will have a thin form factor and still offer a good battery life.

According to a Chinese tipster, apart from ZTE and Honor, Realme could be holding a launch event on Sept. 1 in China. While Honor is expected to announce wearable devices, ZTE will be launching the ZTE Axon 20 5G as the first-ever smartphone with an under-display selfie camera.

Yesterday, tipster Digital Chat Station from China had claimed that the two upcoming Realme phones measure 8.x mm and they are backed by 4,300mAh and 4,500mAh batteries.  The two phones are also said to be equipped with 65W fast charging.

Based on recent reports, it can be said that the RMX2176 and RMX2121 could be the two upcoming Realme phones. The RMX2176 measures 8.1mm in thickness while the RMX2121 has a slim profile of 8.5mm. The TENAA listings of both phones have revealed that they are equipped with dual-cell batteries. The rated value of one of the batteries of RMX2176 is 2,100mAh while that of RMX2121 is 2,200mAh. TENAA has recently another Realme phone with RMX2200 / RMX2201 with a 4,890mAh rated battery. Hence, it may not be the phone that the tipster talked about.

A recent leak had revealed that the Realme RMX2176 has a 4,300mAh battery. The RMX2121 has been spotted at 3C’s database with a 65W fast charger in the recently. While the RMX2121 has appeared at 3C, it’s listing at TENAA is yet to get populated with full specs.
