Xiaomi 15 Ultra pre-reservations kick off in China ahead of launch

Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra soon. But just ahead of their announcement, the company has begun the pre-reservations of its upcoming photography focused flagship smartphone in its home market of China. So here are all the details.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Pre-reservations go live in China

The Chinese tech giant’s Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the brand’s latest top premium smartphone, which is also the successor of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Earlier today (6th February 2025), the brand’s CEO and Founder Lei Jun announced that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be introduced later this month. Now, pre-reservations of this model are live ahead of the announcement, which is expected in late February.

To recall, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was announced on February 22, so we can expect a similar launch timeline for the 15 Ultra. This ultra premium device will likely get a global launch as well, which may take place during the MWC 2025 event in March. Just recently, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was leaked with a dual tone design that is inspired by Leica cameras. This is the same brand that is offering camera optimizations for Xiaomi’s flagship phones.

In a recent GeekBench AI sighting, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra can also be seen with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The high end camera specs were also spotted in another leak yesterday. The main sensor is a 1-inch 50MP Sony LYT900 camera with OIS support. This is paired with a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra wide angle lens, a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, and a 200MP HP9 periscope telephoto shooter with a 4.3x optical zoom.

OnePlus has officially started taking reservations for two new products in China. The Ace 5 series of smartphones pre-bookings went live earlier today (12th December 2024), and now, the reservations for the OnePlus Buds Ace 2 and a new OnePlus Pad have also kicked off. So here are all the details.

The Chinese brand’s new truly wireless earbuds and the tablet are set to be unveiled alongside the Ace 5 series. OnePlus shared teasers of these two gadgets confirming their design and color variants. The Buds Ace 2 has a stem design with silicon tips and arrives in a dual tone color with a gray body and charging case and green housing in the inside. On the other hand, the new OnePlus Pad has a green color option with a dark gray or black colored stylus.

Those interested can head to the brand’s official website in China to reserve the OnePlyus tablet by paying a sum of just 1 Yuan. Reservations bring special benefits like a free OnePlus Smart Stylus worth 399 yuan, 68 yuan BiliBili VIP card, and a 330 Yuan maximum subsidy. The new Buds Ace 2 is a pair of affordable earbuds, while the new OnePlus Pad is likely a rebranded version of the Oppo Pad 3.

In an earlier report, OnePlus was rumoured to launch a new mid-range tablet that is a rebadged Oppo Pad 3 model. So this is likely the very same model in our earlier report. Based on what we know so far, the upcoming OnePlus Pad Go 2 might sport an 11.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2.8K resolution panel and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is expected to be equipped with the Dimensity 8350 SoC. A massive 9,520mAh battery pack powers this device, which support 67W wired fast charging.

Realme GT 5 Pro reservations now live in China

Realme is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Realme GT 5 Pro in China soon. The device is set to be in the brand’s home market on 7th December 2023, and now, the reservations for the smartphone have gone live.

The Chinese brand’s upcoming smartphone is currently listed on JD.com, which is a popular e-commerce platform in the region. For those unaware, the Realme GT 5 Pro is a flagship grade handset that will launch with top notch specs and features. Under the hood, it is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that is paired with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

On the rear, the smartphone will arrive with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 primary camera and a 50-megapixel IMX890 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera, which is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens.

A TENAA listing also revealed that the Realme GT 5 Pro sports a tall 6.78-inch OLED display on the front. This panel has curved edges, a 1.5K resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to run on the Android 14 OS based Realme UI 5 custom skin out of the box. Similarly, a 3C listing confirmed that it will feature 100W fast charging as well.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone now up for reservation in China

Xiaomi-backed Redmi has confirmed that the company will be launching its new Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone in its home country on 28th March.

Now, ahead of its launch next week, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is available for reservation in China. The phone can be reserved by paying 1 yuan and when it’s purchased after the launch, the buyer will get goodies worth 198 yuan.

The teaser poster shared by the company reveals that the smartphone will feature a triple-camera setup on the back panel with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. There are volume rocker keys on the right side of the device, along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The top edge of the phone has a microphone, an IR blaster, a speaker grille, and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the bottom side, there’s a speaker grille, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a SIM slot.

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to feature a 6.67-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ screen resolution. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, making it the world’s first smartphone to come powered by this chipset.

As for the memory configuration, it packs up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Along with the 64MP primary camera sensor on the back, there could also be an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front side, there will be a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The smartphone is likely to run the Android 13 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own MIUI 14 custom user interface. It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

OPPO Find X6 Series Flagship Smartphones up for Reservation in China Ahead of Launch

OPPO is gearing up to launch its next-generation Find X-series flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find X6 series, on 21st March in China along with a few other devices, such as OPPO Pad 2, Enco Free3 TWS earbuds, and more.

Now, just days ahead of the official launch of the OPPO Find X6 lineup, the company has officially started taking reservations for the Find X6 and Find X6 Pro smartphones in the Chinese market through OPPO Mall and JD.com.

The company has listed several benefits for those who reserve a unit during this promotional period, where they will get 24 months of interest-free EMI, a 30-day no-hassle refund, a 180-day replacement warranty, 720 days battery replacement, and more.

The OPPO Find X6 Pro will have an exclusive Desert Galaxy color option which uses Khakhi pigment leather texture with Silver AG glass. The standard model will be available in Feiquan Green, Starry Black, and Snow Mountain Gold colors, while the Pro model will also see options, including Feiquan Green, Starry Black, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 available for pre-order reservation

Samsung officially confirmed that its next-generation foldable smartphones, dubbed Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, will be announced at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place on 10th August.

With a couple of more weeks to go for the official launch, the South Korean giant has started taking reservations for the pre-order of both these smartphones.

Earlier today (14th April 2022), the reservations for the OnePlus Ace went live in the company’s home market of China. The smartphone’s launch is just around the corner, and bookings are now open.

The Chinese smartphone maker had just recently confirmed the launch date for the upcoming Ace, which will be announced on April 21 in China. Interestingly, prior to the launch of the device, the founder of the brand, Pete Lau, shared his thoughts regarding the new device. The official claimed that the Ace is the best phone to feature the Dimensity 8100 processor. For those unaware, this chip is based on the 5nm process tech from TSMC and is one of the latest current gen SoCs from MediaTek.

Notably, the Ace model will likely be rebranded as the OnePlus 10R for the Indian market, so they should feature identical specifications. From what we know so far, the Ace will sport a 6.7 inch AMOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an in display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, a large 4,500mAh battery pack will power the device, along with support for a whopping 150W fast charging.

The front is expected to feature a 16 megapixel selfie shooter while the rear consists of a triple camera setup. This will include a 50 megapixel primary sensor. Oppo Find N sees great success in China, as bookings cross 1 million

Earlier today (10th January 2022), Oppo shared an image poster on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website) to show off the popularity of its newly announced Find N foldable smartphone in China, as early buyers shower the device with praises.

For those unaware, the Find N is the Chinese smartphone maker’s first commercial foldable handset and features some notable specifications as well. But since it is a device with a flexible display, it targets the ultra premium segment with its starting price of 7,699 Yuan (roughly 1,200 US Dollars). However, despite its expensive price tag, the device is still seeing a robust demand as reservations for the model has crossed 1 million.

According to Liu Bo, President of Oppo China, the first sale of the Find N was a success, with a umber of users praising its performance, attractive design, and crease less display as well. Talking about the smartphone itself, it sports a 5.49 inch AMOLED outer display and a 7.1 inch E5 AMOLED primary screen. Under the hood, a large 4,500mAh battery pack powers the device with 33W fast charging.

Furthermore, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the rear, the Find N features a 50 megapixel triple camera setup, while the front has a 32 megapixel selfie shooter on the primary and secondary display. Faraday Future FF 91 Pre Orders are live, launch set for first half of 2022

Faraday Future has recently begun taking reservations for the FF 91 through its official website and application. The car is set to be unveiled in the first half of next year but prospective buyers can reserve the upcoming vehicle for 50,000 Yuan (roughly 7,700 US Dollars).

As per the company’s official road map, the new car will be unveiled at the Investor Day event on 21st September 2021 and will be listed in the first half of 2022. Previously, Faraday Future had stated that its FF 91 will focus on bringing a luxury vehicle in the electric car market that will offer both long range and strong performance. Now, the official website has begun pre orders for this upcoming vehicle, with the amount also being refundable.

Ola electric scooter brings in over 100,000 reservations in just one day

Ola has just shared figures of the reservation of its new electric scooter. The ride sharing based firm stated that it has brought in over 100,000 reservations within just the first 24 hours.

The company claims that these figures make the electric scooter the most pre booked scooter in the world. Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Group CEO of Ola stated that “I am thrilled by the tremendous response from customers across India for our first electric vehicle. The unprecedented demand is a clear indicator of shifting consumer preferences to EVs. This is a huge step forward in our mission to transition the world to sustainable mobility. I thank all the consumers who have booked the Ola Scooter and have joined the EV revolution. This is only the beginning!”

For those interested, you can also reserve the Ola scooter for 499 INR (roughly 6.7 US Dollars) on the company’s official OlaElectric website. Talking about the vehicle, the Ola electric scooter has been made in India and features a twin pod LED headlamp with an LED strip running around it. The company had also added that this scooter will also offer the largest boot space segment in this segment.

At the moment, the ride hailing platform has yet to reveal any finer details regarding the scooter. In other words, we have no information regarding the battery or its charging system. This also means that we have no idea regarding the scooter’s range but it could reportedly be around 150 kilometers per full charge.

Meizu opens online reservations for its smartwatch, launches on May 31

Earlier today (25th May 2021), Meizu officially announced that it is opening the online reservations for its smartwatch. This smartwatch features the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 and will be released on 31st May 2021.

The brand made the announcement on its official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website. The Meizu smartwatch from the Chinese tech giant is currently available for online registration and sports the Snapdragon 4100 chipset along with eSIM support as well. This enables it to be capable of making calls and not rely on the paired smartphones, making it completely independent. The eSIM will also support 4G network as well.

The wearable from the company is currently listed for online registrations from the official website, along with JD.com, a popular Chinese e retailer website. For those unaware, the Meizu smartwatch will feature many of the features that are common with smartwatches including playing music, offering activity tracking, mobile payment services, and more. Huawei Mate 40E reservations spotted on Tmall, device may launch soon

The Huawei Mate 40E is expected to launch soon, after a reservation listing was spotted on Tmall before being taken down by the compny. The new device was seen on the popular Chinese website with its model number, OCE-AN00.

The Mate 40E from the Chinese tech giant was recently spotted passing certification with the Wireless Power Consortium. It is set to arrive with a 6.5 inch OLED display with a resolution of 2376 x 1080px. Under the hood, the HiSilicon 990E 5G chipset will run the new device, which will reach clock speeds of up to 2.86GHz. Notably, the ‘E’ in the smartphone’s name is likely to highlight the Kirin 990E processor.

In terms of other specifications, the smartphone was expected to launch with a 50 megapixel Sony IMX700 sensor, but will now reportedly arrive with a 64 megapixel OmniVision OV64A sensor. This sensor features a 1/1.34-inch outsole, a single pixel size of 1um, support for four in one pixel binning up to 2um. Unfortunately, finer details regarding the device are currently unknown.

The company might be planning an imminent launch of the Mate 40E, especially considering that it had been listed on the Tmall store. However, the company was quick to remove the listing, but the name of the device was confirmed, as per a TechSina report. In other words, we can expect an approaching launch date. Motorola Edge S with Snapdragon 870 is now available for reservations in China

Earlier today (22nd January 2021), the Motorola Edge S went live for reservation. The device is the first smartphone to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset and can be reserved through JD.com.

On the popular Chinese e retail website, the new device has been opened for reservations. For those unaware, the Motorola Edge S is the latest smartphone launched by the company and features a 6.7 inch FHD+ display that has a 16 megapixel dual punch hole selfie camera shooter on the front. On the rear, a 64 megapixel primary camera is housed while the device is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack.

Under the hood, the Motorola Edge S feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 870 SoC. It is the first device to sport the new chipset, which is based on the 7nm process from TSMC, the world’s largest contract chip maker. The new chip is 5G enabled, meaning it is compatible with the newer and faster bandwidth thanks to the X55 5G modem that is also paired with the Adreno 650 GPU for mobile gaming.

At the moment, the device is only open for reservations, which means that it has yet to be launched or be available for purchase. But the Motorola Edge S is confirmed to launch on 26th January 2021. Oppo Find X2 League of Legends Limited Edition is now open for reservations in China

Oppo has just made the new Find X2 League of Legends Limited Edition available for reservations in China. This special version of the Find X2 arrives with a special theme and design, which is based around the immensely popular MOBA game title.

For those unaware, we had previously reported on the Chinese tech giant planning to launch a new variant of its existing smartphone to promote the upcoming season of League of Legends pro league season, which is Season 10 of its professional league. Oppo is a partner for this event and a more recent announcement had also revealed that the device would be launching on 19th October 2020.

Earlier this week, the company’s official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website, shared a post that announced the release of the device and offered links for reservations for potential buyers. The reservation can be made from two different websites and is only available for the people in China. The Find X2 special edition sports 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and will feature a custom new design and exclusive theme as well.

Its launch celebrates League of Legends 11th year anniversary and features the Worlds 2020 logo on the back, which is the name of its professional esports league. The device arrives in greenish-blue color scheme on the rear, with golden accents around the bottom that surround the camera module as well. Apart from the design, the internals is identical to the regular Find X2 variants.

Nubia Watch is now available for reservation, will launch on July 28

Nubia Watch is now available for reservation online. The new smartwatch from the brand will launch on 28th July 2020 and for those interested, you can reserve one on JD.com.

While the Nubia Watch does not feature a camera unlike the Nubia Alpha, it does also have a flexible display. Its promotional image also carried the term “urban adventurer,” which might be indicative of certain high durability features or its design. Unfortunately, the finer details or pricing of the upcoming smartwatch are currently unknown.

Although, a few educated guesses can be made. The Nubia Alpha was released in Beijing at a price of 3,499 Yuan (roughly $499) for the eSIM card variant while the 18K gold plated eSIM card variant was sold for 4,499 Yuan (roughly $642). At the moment, its price now sits at 1,188 Yuan (roughly $169), which might have been due to the upcoming Nubia Watch launch. This, we can expect it to be between the two price points and around the 3,000 Yuan mark. However, this is just speculation, so take it with a pinch of salt for now and stay tuned.
