TECNO Unveils Android 14 Beta for CAMON 20 Series Smartphones

Anubhav — Thu, 11 May 2023 02:41:20 +0000

TECNO, the renowned Chinese smartphone brand, is making waves in the industry once again by becoming one of the first manufacturers to offer Google‘s highly anticipated Android 14 Beta release. This fall, the company is looking to delight its users by running Android 14 Beta on its latest CAMON 20 series, ushering in a new era of upgrades and enhancements that will elevate the overall user experience.

The TECNO CAMON 20 has a Unique Back Design & Intuitive Features

The recently launched CAMON 20 series has already garnered widespread acclaim for its winning combination of outstanding photography capabilities, unique design elements, and an immersive user experience. With cutting-edge features such as the revolutionary 5000 times/second Sensor-Shift OIS Anti-Shaking Technology and a remarkable 50MP RGBW Ultra Sensitive Sensor, the CAMON 20 Premier 5G emerges as a strong contender in low-light photography and steady portrait videos. TECNO’s CAMON PUZZLE Deconstructionist Design sets itself apart from conventional minimalist aesthetics by seamlessly integrating three-dimensional ribbed Magic Skin and advanced ceramic materials into its innovative back cover.

Android 14 Beta is set to augment the user experience of the CAMON 20 series with a plethora of upgrades in privacy, security, performance, and user customization. Privacy-conscious users will be delighted to know that Android 14 raises the bar by implementing stricter security measures, ensuring that apps with a target SDK Version lower than 23 cannot be installed. This significant enhancement thwarts malware attempts and safeguards user security and privacy.

The latest Android iteration also introduces optimizations that significantly extend battery life. By intelligently managing background tasks, downloads, uploads, and various system processes, Android 14 enhances system efficiency, resulting in reduced power drain and longer-lasting battery performance.

Moreover, Android 14 addresses accessibility needs by offering larger fonts and smarter scaling options. With the ability to scale fonts for low-vision users, the new OS champions inclusivity, ensuring that everyone can comfortably navigate and interact with their devices. A non-linear scaling curve strategy intelligently adjusts the scaling rate for different text sizes, striking a balance that prevents overscaling of large elements while preserving the proportions between elements of varying sizes.

TECNO, a technology brand operating in over 70 countries and regions across five continents, has solidified its position as a leader in the target markets it serves. The brand consistently delivers state-of-the-art innovations through its diverse range of smartphones, smart wearables, laptops, tablets, HiOS operating systems, and smart home products.

Through its collaboration with Google and the introduction of Android 14 Beta on the CAMON 20 series, TECNO is demonstrating its unwavering commitment to providing users with an unparalleled smartphone experience. The future of mobile innovation looks incredibly promising with similar brands and Android 14 paving the way for new possibilities.

Tecno Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro Listed on Google Play with Key Specs

Anurag — Sun, 09 Apr 2023 12:57:09 +0000

Tecno Camon 20 series is reportedly in the works and will debut pretty soon as the successor to last year’s Camon 19 line. The new series should include Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro. Both of these phones have recently been making rounds on the internet, and in the latest development, they have appeared on the Google Play console and the supported device list, complete with some key specifications. Here are the details.

Although only two models are listed on Google Play Console, the Pro model can be seen to have two variants. One has model number TECNO-CK6n and the other has TECNO-CK7n. All three phones are illustrated with a center-punch hole display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 480 DPI screen density. They are listed to feature 8GB of RAM and the latest Android 13 software.

While the display specs remain the same, other hardware specs are expected to be slightly different. For one, the processor used on the Vanilla Camon 20 may be the entry-level MediaTek MT6769V. This is likely the Helio G85. Notably, last year’s Camon 19 also arrived with the same SoC.

The Tecno Camon 20 Pro, which has model number TECNO-CK6n, carries the same processor as the above-mentioned model, suggesting it will also be a budget-friendly option. On the contrary, the Camon 20 Pro with the model number TECNO-CK7n is listed to have MediaTek MT6789 as its processor. This is nothing but the Helio G99 SoC, which is based on a 6nm process node coupled with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. We are yet to learn other details about the three phones. Stay tuned for the updates.
