So, what sets the X60t Pro+ from the existing X60 Pro+? The only noticeable difference between the two devices is that the X60 Pro+ features a 32-megapixel telephoto lens instead of a 12-megapixel telephoto snapper found on the X60t Pro+.

Vivo X60t Pro+ pricing and availability

The X60 Pro+ has arrived in two options in China such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at 4,999 Yuan (~$773) and 5,999 Yuan (~$928), respectively. It comes in Classic Orange and Dark Blue colors.

With an overall score of 128 points, the Vivo X60 Pro+ scores higher than the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the OPPO Find X2 Pro. The photo score is 131 points and the review praises its performance in a wide range of lighting conditions. It also commends its exposure, wide dynamic range, accurate white balance, and high detail but mentions that noise is sometimes visible and that autofocus failures prevented it from scoring higher.

For Zoom, the device scores 84 points which is great thanks to its dual telephoto cameras, but could have been better if it didn’t lack detail at long range and suffer from exposure instabilities when compared to phones such as the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra.

DxOMark reveals that it is the issues with the photo and zoom that resulted in the phone scoring lower than the Vivo X50 Pro+.

For video, the X60 Pro+ scored 110 points and garners praise for its color rendering and accurate white balance which makes videos really pop whether you are recording indoor or outdoor. It does get noisy when in low-light conditions, so the key to getting the best out of the cameras is to make sure that there is enough light.

The full review on DxOMark’s site goes into deeper details and includes photo and video samples as well as comparisons with some other devices, so do check that out.

On the connectivity front, all three smartphones come with dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi (WiFi 6 on Pro+), Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GNSS (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS), and USB Type-C. They also include all the necessary sensors, such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, color spectrum sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. But unfortunately, like most high-end devices, they also lack a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot.

As for software, the trio runs Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11. Further, the regular variant is backed by a 4,300mAh battery while the Pro and Pro+ sport a slightly smaller 4,200mAh cell. As for charging, only the Pro+ support 55W fast charging and the other two are capped at 33W. Sadly, they don’t have support for wireless charging like other flagship smartphones

As per the info from his tweet, Vivo will launch three smartphones under the Vivo X60 series in India. They are Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro, Vivo X60 Pro+. This is an appreciable move after the company brought only the Vivo X50, X50 Pro to the country last year.

Out of the three, the base model, Vivo X60 will launch in two colors- Blue, Black. It will be available for purchase in two memory variants as well. Users will get an option for an 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage option.

That said, the company is planning for a single storage variant of the Vivo X60 Pro and X60 Pro+. Accordingly, the devices will get 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. For colors, the Pro variant will get Blue and Black colors while the Vivo X60 Pro+ will come in a single Black color option.

As for specs, multiple reports have said that the Global variant will have a different chipset on the Vivo X60 devices. The Chinese smartphone giant is launching the series three days early in Malaysia and there it’s already confirmed to feature Snapdragon 870 chipset.

Plus, a recent report said that Vivo X60 and X60 Pro will feature the recently launched chipset whereas the Vivo X60 Pro+ will retain the Snapdragon 888 from China. Other specifications of the devices are likely to be the same and the company’s poster confirms the presence of Zeiss optics.

According to Mukul Sharma, the Chinese tech giant will be launching the X60 Pro+ along with the X60 Pro and the base X60. Furthermore, Mukul also added that the series will likely also feature Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 888 or Snapdragon 870 mobile processors. Interestingly, the tipster also shared an image of the device’s rear camera module, highlighting its capabilities that were made possible thanks to the partnership between the Vivo and Zeiss.

The new is in line with our previous report, which stated that the Chinese tech giant plans on launching the series in India along with the Vision+ initiative in March 2021. Taking about the upcoming lineup, the Vivo X60 series will include X60, Pro, and X60 Pro+ in India. Reportedly, the X60 and X60 Pro will feature Snapdragon 870 chipset while the X60 Pro+ will retain the Snapdragon 888 from China.

In a virtual press briefing, Nipun said(via Gadgets360) that the Vivo X60 series will launch in India this month. However, he hasn’t reportedly given clarity regarding the devices in the series. In addition to the Vivo X60 series, the company will also bring the Vivo Vision+ initiative to India.

Vivo Vision+ initiative and RGBW camera phone

This initiative, introduced back in September 2020, is for promoting the culture of mobile photography. Through this, the company will gather photography enthusiasts via Vision+ Mobile Photography Academy, conduct photography awards. It is also said to include the Master Class, and the Vivo Vision+ Photographer Federation.

Anyway, the initiative will start at the Vivo X60 series event so let’s wait for the launch to know more details on it. Moving on, the company has also said that it is bringing the RGBW camera sensor into mass production(in a smartphone) in H2 2021. If you recall, Vivo unveiled it in September 2020.

RGBW stands for Red, Green, Blue, White(filter), and the stack is based on the 4-in-1 Quad-Bayer to provide more pixel area. Here, the added White filter is supposed to increase the sensitivity by 160% as it acts as a transparent filter to allow light through.

In a world of traditional RGB camera sensors, this RGBW will add an extra ‘W’hite filter array to the arrangement, and using advanced algorithms, it is claimed to solve issues like color casting.

Vivo X60 series India: Specs

Also, regarding the Vivo X60 series, Digit India, through exclusive insider info, says that the Vivo X60 series will include Vivo X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+ in India. It further says that the X60, X60 Pro will feature Snapdragon 870 chipset while the X60 Pro+ will retain the Snapdragon 888 from China.

If you recall, except the X60 Pro+, the other two devices featured Exynos 1080 chipset in China. This info is in line with recent evidences of the devices appearing online. Apart from chipsets, the Indian variants should retain the other specs from China.

The X60 Pro Plus 5G was announced on January 21st, and the phone is already available for purchase at Giztop for a price as low as $899. As said earlier, it comes with the Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform which also houses the Adreno 660 GPU. It has a 6.56-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a punch hole in the middle. The camera comes with a Quad camera setup for the rear and a single 32MP selfie camera. While the rear module comes in a beefy 48MP+50MP+32MP+8MP configuration.

Vivo X60 Pro Plus 5G Specs

The device comes with a minimum RAM of 8GB and can go up to 12GB. As for
storage, the user can choose between 128GB or 256GB storage. The 4200mAh battery (though not massive in 2021) combined with the 55W fast-charging, will definitely give you enough juice for the day. It runs on the OriginOS 1.0, which is based on Android 10 OS.

The device comes with Jovi, VIVO’s new personal assistant. However, the users should note that the phone listed on Giztop is a Chinese Edition. But you’ll have complete access to the Google Mobile services as well as the Google Play Store. The device supports all major 4G LTE bands in Asia, Europe and Australia. You can buy it if you live in any of these three regions. This is one of the very few available in the market to run on the Snapdragon 888, so we recommend that you don’t waste your time. And as someone said, “Good things come to those who wait, but the best things come to those who don’t”.

Rumors surrounding the Vivo X60 Pro+ have claimed that it will be equipped with the same 6.56-inch AMOLED display with centered punch-hole design that is available on the X60 and X60 Pro handsets. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and it is integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

The X60 Pro+ is expected to arrive with support for 55W fast charging. It goes without saying that it will offer better photography capabilities than the other X60 models. It is likely that it could be fitted with a 50-megapixel main camera coupled with the second-generation micro-gimbal tech.

Recently, the company has been widely promoting the X60, X60 Pro on social media platforms like Weibo. While it is yet to reveal the top-end flagship details, a JD.com listing reveals color names and memory variants.

As GSMArena reports, a Vivo X60 Pro+ listing appears on Jingdong(JD.com). Although the listing doesn’t reveal any specs, it says the device is a 5G flagship. Further, the placeholder images are nothing but the Snapdragon 888 SoC, close-up of a probable Periscope lens, and Leather Patterns.

And if you look down the listing, we have information about the color and memory variants. Apparently, the X60 Pro+ will have two color options- Deep Ocean Blue and Classic Orange. If the listing is true, the memory variant of the device is either 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, or 12GB RAM, 256GB storage. Do note that a disclaimer image at last says final information could vary after launch.

Either way, the names of the colors go in line with the earlier leak by Digital Chat Station a few days ago. He posted two images of the Vivo X60 Pro+ one in Blue and the other in Orange. Looking at the vague images and JD.com listing, it is possible that Vivo would launch X60 Pro+ in Leather editions.

Also, the JD listing points to a shipping date of around January 30, 2021, which means the launch could be in the fourth week of January(23-30). Speaking of which, the listing also has few more images teasing excellent low-light camera features, OS(probably OriginOS), and Fast Charging(maybe 120W).

Anyway, as mentioned above, take all this information with a pinch of salt as Vivo is yet to disclose it officially. The Vivo X60 Pro+ is expected to feature a centered punch-hole curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Considering the X60 series and recently launched iQOO 7 have a 48MP main camera, we can also expect X60 Pro+ to stand out from the crowd.

Ahead of the launch, the official renders of the Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro smartphones have surfaced once again.

The Vivo X50 series that debuted in June came with 6.56-inch Samsung E3 AMOLED displays that offered 1080 x 2376 pixels resolution. The same display is tipped to be available on the Vivo X60 with some changes. Instead of the top-left corner selfie camera cutout available on the X50 models, the successor editions will have a top-centered punch-hole. Instead of 90Hz, the Vivo X60 will support a higher refresh rate of 120Hz. The renders show that the Vivo X60 will have a flat-screen, whereas the Pro model’s display has curved edges.

The rear appearance of the Vivo X60 series is not hugely different from the X50 lineup. The Vivo X60 has a triple camera system that includes a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.6 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 13-megapixel portrait snapper.

The X60 series will be the first Vivo phones to come loaded with the all-new OriginOS flavored Android 11 OS.

The Vivo X60 family also includes the Vivo X60 Pro+, which is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 888. While it may feature the same display as the other X60 models, it may come equipped with an advanced rear camera system. While the rumor mill has speculated that the X60 lineup will be made official on Dec. 28, there is no official confirmation on the launch date yet. Vivo recently confirmed that the newly unveiled Exynos 1080 will be present under the hood of the device. A new Vivo phone with model number V2047A has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with the Exynos 1080. It appears that the V2047A could be a Vivo X60 series smartphone.

The “S5E9815” text mentioned in the motherboard field in the Geekbench listing of the V2047A is the part number of the Exynos 1080 chipset. Hence, it appears that the Vivo V2047A phone could be the Vivo X60 or Vivo X60 Pro. It may not be the Vivo X60 Pro+ handset since it is expected to arrive with the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.

The Vivo V2047A is loaded with Android 11 OS. The listing states that its SoC is coupled with 12 GB of RAM. It has scored 888 in the single-core test of the Geekbench 5 and it recorded a score of 3244 in the multi-core test.

The V2047A model number was previously spotted at the 3C certification platform of China. It revealed that the phone could be arriving with support for 33W fast charging. The V2046A and V2059A model numbers are said to be associated with the Vivo X60 series. They are also expected to support 33W rapid charging.

The rumor mill has only leaked the camera details of the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro so far. The X60 is expected to arrive with a 48-megapixel (f/1.6 aperture) + 13-megapixel (superwide) + 13-megapixel (portrait) triple camera system. Recent reports have revealed that the Chinese brand will be launching the Vivo X60 series of smartphones in December. Leaked information that surfaced last week claimed that the Vivo X60 series will break cover on Dec. 28v. Today, the brand released a poster to confirm the rear appearance of the Vivo X60 series along with some of its key features.

The official poster confirms that the Vivo X60 series will be fueled by the Exynos 1080 chipset. While Vivo has worked with Samsung in developing the 5nm chipset, the company has collaborated with Germany-based ZEISS optics for the X60 series. Hence, it appears that the Vivo X60 lineup will not only offer topnotch performance, but also a stellar photography experience.

The Vivo X50 series came equipped with a micro-gimbal camera system for capturing stable videos. The company will be offering an even better experience on the Vivo X60 as it is equipped with an ultra-stable micro gimbal. The poster suggests that the X60 will have a triple camera setup, whereas the Pro model could be blessed with an additional square-shaped lens. It could be a periscope telephoto sensor. The X60 series is expected to arrive in three colors such as gradient blue, black, and white.

Vivo is yet to reveal the front appearance of the Vivo X60 models. The X50 lineup came with AMOLED screens with an upper-left corner positioned punch-hole. The leaked images of the Vivo X60 series that have appeared in the recent past have revealed that its screen has a top-center aligned punch-hole. The X60 series will be the first Vivo phones to come preinstalled with the all-new OriginOS UI. It is believed that the 3C certified Vivo phones such as V2047A, V2046A, and V2059A could be Vivo X60 series smartphones as they were spotted with a 33W fast charger.

It is speculated that this December will see the arrival of the rumored Vivo X60 series handsets such as the Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro, and Vivo X60 Pro+. A tipster from China has claimed that the Vivo X60 series will go official on Dec. 28.

Vivo is yet to reveal any official information on the arrival of the Vivo X60 series, but the tipster has claimed that it may debut by the end of this month. It is already known that the lineup will be fueled by the 5nm Exynos 1080 chipset.

The predecessor Vivo X30 series and Vivo X50 series came with punch-hole screens with selfie camera cutout positioned at the top-left corner. The Vivo X50 and X50 Pro came with 90Hz refresh rate supporting displays, and X50 Pro+ sported a 120Hz screen. According to the tipster, all the phones in the Vivo X60 series will arrive with support for 120Hz refresh rate. As leaked renders and images have revealed the Vivo X60 series will flaunt displays with top-center selfie camera cutout.

The rumor mill is yet to spill information on the specs of the Vivo X60 series. Like the predecessor models, the X60 models are expected to offer a top-notch photography experience. The renders have revealed that it will continue to sport a camera module similar to the X50 series.

Rumors are rife that mysterious Vivo phones with model numbers Vivo V2059A, V2047A, and V2046A that were recently approved by the 3C authority of China could be the X60 series smartphones. The 3C listings revealed that these 5G-ready phones may ship with 33W fast charging support. Hopefully, these phones will soon appear at TENAA with full specifications and images.

Recent reports have revealed that the Vivo X60 series of phones driven by the Exynos 1080 will be made official in December. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared a couple of live shots of two smartphones. It appears that the tipster may have shared the images of the forthcoming Vivo X60 series smartphones.

In the above-shown image, the alleged Vivo X60 series phone can be seen with the all-new Origin OS UI on its screen. The handset can be seen sporting a punch-hole display with curved edges. At the top-center of the display is a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. In the below shown leaked shot, the same handset can be seen on the right side.

The handset placed on the left side also features a punch-hole display. However, it has some different features such as it has a flat-screen and a red-colored power button. It could not be confirmed whether these devices are Vivo X60 series phones.

The tipster who shared the above images also mentioned today through different Weibo posts that there is an unreleased Snapdragon 875 powered smartphone with a centered single-hole curved screen. The diameter of the punch-hole is around 3.6mm. It has a screen of around 6.65 inches that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. It appears that the tipster could be talking about the Vivo X60 series flagship phone.

It is highly likely that the Exynos 1080 will be present under the hood of the Vivo X60 phone. The series may include a Pro or Pro Plus model with SD875 onboard.
